When I first started online, on Usenet back in the late 1990s, I took the nickname 'spyder'. As the internet grew I started hitting websites where someone had already registered a username of 'spyder' so for those sorts of sites I started using cyanidespyder, since my IRL initials are CN.

Not all websites have friendly login requirements, however, and a 13 character username was often too long (arbitrary 10 character limits are surprisingly common) , hence 'cyanspyder' was born.

For the most part, i still go by 'spyder' online, and since realising I was enby I've been using it in IRL as well, when I can.

since that one poll going around kind of assumed everyone puts their name in their about or bio when that is NOT my experience, but maybe I am the wrongly assuming one.

for the "multiple" option, I'm thinking more of situations where, say, some people call you Mango, some call you Bug, and others call you Ro. I think complete strangers almost always call other strangers "tumblr user XYZ," so I'm not counting that, nor am I counting multiple versions of the same category (like, if one person calls you Mango and one person calls you MB, they're both nicknames of your URL, so that still only counts as one).

Whilst I do normally enjoy the various pictures and thoughtful pieces you regularly post, I was disappointed to see the Aria 51 comic you posted today had been massively trimmed to remove the comic artist's banner, website, and signature. It is a pet peeve of mine, as an artist, to see other artists' works being disassociated from their identities. Original is by Dan Piraro, at his site, "Bizzaro!" (I'd link, but for tumblr not letting me)

Oh no! I just hit reblog, presuming that the art was presented as intended. I never, ever, EVER crop credit. That’s terrible. Thank you for letting me know, and giving me an opportunity to signal boost Dan’s name and website.

So finances are a little tight at the moment so I’m considering taking on art commissions. As some of you may be aware I am a 3D render artist. Complex scenes with multiple figures - price subject to negotiation

I am able to produce portraits or scenes, dependent on the availability of 3D assets, and pricing will be dependent on the complexity of the scene. I'm happy to produce risqué, but not illegal, images.

So I discovered OrionPax09 on deviantArt had made a Mario Super Crown for Daz Studio, about the same time I saw The Bowsette Super Crown Overture linked on here.

And there it was, A bandwagon waiting to be jumped on

Given the recent decisions by Tumblr staff, I’m currently looking at alternative blogging sites

Whilst this journal does not appear to have been flagged as NSFW by the powers that be, one of my other blogs has (admittedly because it included a fair number of realistic looking 3D rendered female-presenting nipples)

Currently I’m looking at PillowFort and can be found as cyanspyder over there...though I’ve not actually posted there yet

The site is young, and there’s a $5 entrance fee at the moment, though I understand they are planning to go to an optional Freemium model in the future.  Not sure if the timeline for that.
