-I changed Pinkie's major from film to just undeclared. I think she eventually does land on Film. She just has a lot of interests! Her dream has always been to one day direct films, and I think she comes to love them even more while developing ideas her with the group as she winds up in a Director/Producer position for most of them. BUT also every time she takes a class in a different program she cant help but fall in love with that way of making art too. So she has a hard time picking for a while and changed her major a couple times before landing on Film.

-Pinkie and Berrie bond a lot over a shared interest in vocal synths (tho Berrie knows more about them than her).

-The two made Pinkie's vtuber model together!

-the fandom wiki says PJ is from germany?? Idk how canon that is tbh but ive decided to embrace it i guess

-Rooney's canon name is Scarlet Rose, but i thought it was kinda lame especially when Rosie Redwood is also in this line sooo I renamed her! Stuck to the color name puns tho. Mar Rooney. Maroon. Haha

-Speaking on her though i love that shes from texas and likes writing scifi mystery type stuff and that being said i just Know deep in my bones that she was a Voltron Legendary Defender fan and Keith was/is 100% her favorite. She has a continued fondness for mothman specifically cuz of this.

-PJ and Rooney actually talk about fandom and shows/movies ALL the time. They dont have a ton of overlapping interests, but where they do? The two literally never shut up.

-Rosie is such a random character, like outside of her design she feels very poorly considered. So I scrapped the cosmetology thing and made her an illustrator instead! I think it works better with her love of making art in nature. I can see her being really into illustrated guide books. I think shes a bit snooty when it comes to art too. It takes being friends with other artists to become more open minded.

-I like the idea that Rosie is mainly friends with Rooney and Berrie ontop of that. The three of them often tag team storylines and how theyd interpret them into different mediums. Rosie will draw up a bunch of concept stuff while Rooney writes up a pitch bible and Berrie will start making shit move and throwing in her own ideas on camera angles and character designs.

-as an animation major Berrie was required to take a sound design class early on, which is where she met Oliver! Hes very laid back, and likes to go with the flow, but functions a little like the "mom" of the group. Often reminding the girls to take breaks, drink water, stop looking at their screens lest they get eye strain etc. He's multi-talented tbh but Music is his one true passion and he likes how the girls are always giving him collaboration opportunities.

-Oliver and Rosie like to talk sports a lot, both having played a bunch when they were younger and throughout high school.

-Lavender Lynn is Oliver's number one "person who needs constant reminders to settle down" she is in a constant buzz of trying to get the best shots and is utterly obsessed with the process of artistic documentation. Everything must be documented.

-the whole school loves her for this actually, she has a whole side gig where other students hire her to help photograph their projects. She saves everything she earns from this for her future dream plans to visit paris. She has it set really, many of the artists who she helps photograph now will remain steadfast clients of hers forever onward.

-PJ and Lynn actually took a print media class together at one point. Which didnt at the time spark an everlasting friendship. But it did give PJ an easier in to ask for Lynn's help documenting a project the group was working on. One of Lynn's first times photographing them work happened to fall on a day where Rosie had planned to trick everyone into going on a nature walk sans devices... Lynn wound up really appreciating this outing and decided to continue hanging around the group even after that project had ended.

• At first, Lawrie didn’t let Larry have a weapon since “they’re dangerous and you don’t need one” but Larry managed to craft his ticket wheel into an explosive weapon somehow and Lawrie was just too afraid/impressed to not let him have it

•They both live in the park’s security station. Specifically, Larry took an unused storage closet and made it into an actual little bedroom, while Lawrie just sleeps in their office (if they sleep at all)

•Lawrie collects bobble heads. They make him smile

•Larry really likes baking! Not to eat the sweet treats (since he can’t even if he wanted to), but he just loves the process of making them. He often bakes cookies with Pearl

•He has no clue that Pearl is related to the Gold Arm Gang somehow. They’ve seen her with them but it just somehow has never clicked and probably never will

•Lawrie does know, but they just think Pearl is harmless enough. The second any other Gold Arm member even gets close to Larry though, they’re ready to strike

•Larry is a hypochondriac even though he can’t even get sick. Lawrie is kinda similar, but they’re just a neat-freak. Either way, everywhere the two go is getting deep cleaned and disinfected

•Lawrie gets a ton of coloring books for R-T since they see R-T as like a little kid and don’t know what else to get them.

•Larry is really good at engineering, and makes elaborate “mouse trap” like contraptions to try and catch criminals. They also make little mini robots! Those don’t have any consciousness but he treat they like his children all the same

•Lawrie pretends they don’t like the little robots, but they will protect those little guys with their life if they have to

•Lawrie’s idea of “fun” is challenging Larry to little games that test their knowledge on all the parks rules (Don’t worry cuz Larry thinks it’s fun too)

•If you bring it up to them, both Larry and Lawrie the living embodiments of anti-smoking/drinking/gambling ads

•People will often sneak up behind Larry and put stickers on them to poke fun at him. He never notices until Lawrie takes them off. He keeps them in a sticker book because they think it means people like him

•No one puts any stickers on Lawrie because he’s just impossible to sneak up on and will punch someone if they try

•They own a cat! Larry found a little Calico kitten and went annoying little brother mode until Lawrie agreed to keep it

•Lawrie hated the idea of having an animal around, but much like a middle aged dad they’re now the one who spoils the cat the most

theres a core mindscape and a ‘dark’ mindscape, that sorta works like the upside down from stranger things (as in the dark mindscape is like literally upside down and mirrors everything, like this)

everyones also got their own unique doors to their rooms. logans is very sleek and modern, pattons in more childlike and almost vintage, romans resemble castle doors while remus’ is more like a dungeons, virgils is typically angsty teenager with tons of posters and ‘keep out’ signs, and janus has tons of locks on his

design wise the core sides have straight teeth and fluffier hair while the dark sides have sharp teeth and rougher(?) hair (since changing, virgil has vampire-esque fangs)

Thinking about EPIC the Musical Odysseus... [spoilers to wisdom saga, mentions of ptsd, trauma, etc]

like okay we all know about how Ody had TONS of ptsd throughout the musical (and the Odyssey itself), like how he spiraled in Love in Paradise because Calypso's words reminded him of Eurylochus, Polites, and Anticlea.

Do you think like, about after what happened in Polyphemus, or maybe it was during Ruthlessness, the word "captain" may have become sort of a trigger word too? Like, the sheer amount of times the crewmates have called out that "Captain! Captain! Captain!" right before or while they're dying should definitely be traumatizing in its own right, yeah?

(I rant a bit more abt this utc)

And then ig it sort of all crashed down during The Underworld because the souls of the crewmates were just screaming for him, "Captain! Captain! Captain!" And ever since that song, maybe Ody's fight/flight response gets activated with just that word. Like, maybe before, it simply activated a sense of duty, since it reminds him of his responsibility over so many people. But then all the death and suffering that clung onto that word just associated it with something wrong going on.

And then during Mutiny, when Eurylochus says "Look me in the eyes and tell me, captain," I can't help but imagine Ody flinching and getting a small spiral in that moment. Because it's always captain, captain, captain; he has to be the one they call out to when times are tough, when times are terrible, because he's their captain. And the weight of all those lives lost. Around 564 people calling out to him, crying out to their captain for help, and he couldn't help them. No matter what he tried to do, he couldn't help them. He couldn't help those men who relied on him, who turned to him first.

And then later on, after Eury kills Helios's cattle, the first thing he says when he realizes just what he did was call, "Captain?" Because he needs their captain, he needs Odysseus. Like, there's no blame to any of the other crew members for calling Ody 'captain' cuz that's natural for them; it's a sign that they still trust him despite everything that's happened previously. But does Odysseus still even trust himself to lead them?

hi you wanna get into my silly little steampunk bands so bad [mini guides on where 2 start getting into the cog is dead , steam powered giraffe , and the mechanisms] [they call me the normaler]

the cog is dead: it doesnt really have a set story as much as the other 2 bands , you can kinda just shuffle em . Or listen to the albums in order or whatever you decide to do !! The band's backstory which you can find on their website [but im explaining it here cuz im normal] is the lead singer , john sprocket , was a clockmaker in the late 1800s . then a guy named hamilton invented the electric clock [causing the death of the cog] , so sprocket and a mechanic named renate goodwin made a time machine to see what effect the electric clock had . During their journey they find someone , bradley harrington III , in an apple barrel . They decide to make him the ship navigater . They arrive to the 21st century and are shocked to see the cog is completely wiped out , so they decide to devote their lives to bringing back the cog through musical entertainment

Steam powered giraffe: their story is on their website's lore page , only one of their albums is centered around one story . That album is the vice quadrant which you should probably save for after you figure out their main story . You dont have to do this really , but i HEAVILY recommend you listen to all of their albums in order from release date [album one [both versions] -> the 2 cent show -> etc etc] . Their backstory is pretty long so im not gonna explain it here but its on their website you should read it . :3 . they have alot of mini stories inside the bigger story [ie: rex marksley , airheart , captain albert alexander] .

The mechanisms: you Have to listen to their albums in order for this one . my suggested order is: once upon a time in space -> ulysses dies at dawn -> high noon over camelot -> the bifrost incident -> death to the mechanisms . You can switch up the order however but make sure death to the mechanisms comes last . You can put tales to be told 1 and 2 + frankenstein anywhere in there it doesnt really matter . Tales to be told 1&2 dont tell one story its a ton of story songs mixed together . Frankenstein is a single . Their albums tell different stories based on different things [ie: once upon a time in space is based on fairy tales , high noon over camelot is based on aurthurian legend] , the band members each have their own backstories but they each have 2 things in common: 1, dying somehow and 2, getting mechanized after dying . Getting mechanized is where you get the/an organ that caused your death replaced with a metal version , that also grants you immortality . for example , gunpowder tim died from his eyes getting burnt out and his mechanism is his eyes . theres a ton more lore on their website you should check out , theres little stories about their album characters and the band members . Theyre so good im normal

I was wondering if you could go over how your process or tutorial in making an animatic? Whenever I try to start to make one, I get jumbled up and end up ditching it lol

I'm sorry if you get this question a lot 😭

So sorry it took me so long to answer this- I was in a Busy time (diseaseridden with covid and being punched by finals) when I got the ask and wanted to answer it with some stuff Im using for my next TOH animatic!!

I'll say one thing first: I get jumbled up and ditch so many animatics. For every one animatic I release, there are three to five more I have that have NEVER seen the light of day (yet). And that's okay!! It's fun just to make them for me, and I hope it is for you too!! Animatics are scary because if you're working on it alone, it can be really hard to be your own cheerleader to keep up the mojo to keep going. So that makes it really special when there is that project that makes it to the finish line- cuz you can look at it and go "holy crap I made this. holy crap i MADE that look how SICK that is dude!! all that work and look at the turnout!!"

The following stuffh is just my personal process and is by no means representative of a professional animation pipeline, but this works for me as a Lonely Artist! It all begins with the idea - whether it's a song, or just a story you wanna tell. In the case of the one I'm gonna demo here with , I wanted to animate Hunter's first day as Del's apprentice!

The first thing I did was write a script. Not fancy or AO3-quality, but enough that I understand the pacing and the visuals of each shot. I usually just put this in a doc or put it in a script format, if I feel fancy.

Then, I take that script and find music that I think would fit for it- and remix it (if needed) to fit the pacing/mood/etc! This is what this new animatic looked like before I began ANY artwork- this is a me thing because I'm super inspired by audio as opposed to visuals first. But you might be different- this is just how I like working personally!

Then begins the research! I find references for characters, background layouts, and create a style guide for the animatic that tells me how thick lines will be for characters, backgrounds, if there'll be tons of value or no. I make a turnaround for each character so I can refer to them because Im gonna be drawing them over and over a LOT and want to be consistent! Luckily TOH has no shortage of references, so I based my work off them.

THEN, I can begin drawing. I'm a little,,, (a lot) ADHD and may not always do this process, but if you're new to animatics or daunted by the task at hand, make beat boards of the entire project.

This is just a page of rough thumbnails that get your visual idea down - look how rough and quick these are!! I try not to spend over a minute on each beat board if I dont have to, unless it's a particularly complex shot.

When it gets to the stage where you're ready to begin the actual scenes, I personally tend to do backgrounds first because I like to set characters into backgrounds - and for every animatic, I have the Awkward Blue Sketch Stage which is basically my beat boards timed out as an animatic.

I used Storyboard Pro for this (Toonboom, not free ): icky), but the process can be replicated across most art platforms in whichever way you feel most comfy with! This is so I can time the drawings before I devote time cleaning them up-- which can make for some Pretty Funny looking little guys but theyre important!! trust!!

Once a big sequence of shots is cleaned up (I usually do 40-60 second chunks at a time), I export the .mov and send it to my editing program (which in this case is still Premiere Pro) - and then repeat this process again and again until.. it's done??

Here's like a TL;DR list of basically everything I said summed up:

• Make a loose script or bulletin of the idea! Do your research!

• Depending on what kind of animatic you're making, time it to music!

• Make a beat board of very loose gestures for your shots, and time them - then move on to refinement & cleanup!

• Combine all shots, refine music cues and timings, add any last needed VFX, and export!

There's no secret recipe or anything, it's just learning a pipeline that best suits you, whether it is for something professional or something you want to make for fun because you just love to make!!

A few random Horrid Henry hcs :3

Warning tho I haven’t seen every single episode yet (I’m working on it) so maybe some don’t make sense or whatever 🤷‍♀️

•Henry and Ralph share new bands/music they find all the time. They trade cds or just listen to music they wanna share with the other, together! Music is one of the biggest things they bond over. Henry was particularly excited to find out someone liked the same type of music as him because alternative music is one of his special interests. He could talk about his favorite bands for hours!!!

•Henry has sensory issues. They even say two of them in the theme song, brushing his hair and washing his face. Yeah, yeah u can say it’s just cuz he’s a kid but whatever.

With the hair brushing thing in particular, I think that’s why his hair is always drawn as wavy/messy. His parents ended up just mostly giving up on trying to get him to brush his hair because it would usually end up with him getting overwhelmed and angry. So now they usually only ask him to when they are going somewhere ‘nice’. That or Henry barely brushes it every day and they just give up and say it’s good enough.

•The sweater Henry always wears is his favorite sensory wise. Yes, I know it’s just cartoon logic that he wears the same clothes everyday but again, I don’t care. I think he’d even learn how to sow a little to fix up any really bad rips in it. Knowing his mom, she probably would try to get rid of it and tell him he has other clothes he needs to wear but that causes like, the biggest breakdown ever with Henry so she gives in and lets him keep it.

•For some reason I see Henry liking to wear TONS of bracelets. Maybe to fidget with or just cuz he likes the look or feel of them. Some would be ones he made and others would be stuff like band or tv show merch. I also see him liking fingerless gloves.

•In his teen years I see him messing around with hair dye a lot. Some looks were better than others. Sometimes he would let his roots grow out for months or a year and other times would dye his hair like.. every other week. He dyed Ralph’s hair black a couple times. (💔rip book emo Ralph)

•The more fantasy type things that are shown in the show are just Henrys imagination (for the most part I guess). Like the cat controlling day and night and him turning into animals when he gets extremely frustrated.

•Can barely sit ‘right’ to save his life. I know this in particular wasn’t shown in the show from what I’ve seen but I feel like when he’s genuinely just upset and not angry, he curls up into a ball and hides somewhere small :,/

•He’s very smart! Not just when it comes to plans. I feel like once he gets older, I could see him expressing himself very poetically in writing. I think he has a lot he’s kept inside and would word it all very nicely in writing.

I mostly think this because of a clip I saw where he was trying to explain to Peter how nothing in life is fair. Like yes some of what he was complaining during it was ‘normal’ stuff kids don’t like but I think it’s much more impactful because he’s clearly undiagnosed with something. Things that are ‘little’ to most people like going to school, eating certain things, and etc are worse for him but almost no one will take him seriously. Life isn’t fair for him at all since no one will genuinely listen to him, he has to find his own ways to cope or get over whatever life throws at him which is a lot for a kid.

RAPTOR LADY HEADCANONS CUZ IM BORED ‼️‼️

- Pampers her raptors like crazy, like, them bitches are SPOILED ROTTEN.

- Is a dark chocolate and carob enjoyer. She hates anything sweet, or spicy (Its the white girl in her 😔).

- Absolute neat freak. If theres any mess, she’ll immediately be in a bad mood.

- Biggest rbf (resting bitch face) along with the most powerful side eyes known to mankind.

- Probably does the “pspspspsp” thing to her raptors.

- Autistic.

- She isn’t actually mute, like she’ll speak, but like on rare occasions. When she does speak, it’s always in a hushed tone or a whisper or mumble.

- To add to the talk thing, she’ll only talk out loud to her raptors. Like not even like simple commands like she’ll have full on conversations with them.

- French ‼️‼️ 🇫🇷🇫🇷 shes multilingual and can speak many languages. (Very ironic for someone who barely speaks..)

- Gas station jerky enjoyer. (The girlies who get it get it, the girlies who don’t don’t.)

- Fidgets with her whistle, like you cannot tell me she doesn’t fiddle with it when she’s bored.

- Will literally go to WAR for her raptors, she’ll sacrifice her OWN life to save them.

-If she were to laugh, it’s at other peoples expense. Its not a loud CACKLE its like a small chuckle or sumthin.

- She RICH RICH. Like she obviously has a shit ton of money otherwise how else would she be able to maintain and take care of her raptors? (Damn can she be my sugar daddy⁉️🤑 /J)

- Actually hates music. She don’t like HATE it, she doesn’t mind it, but she’ll just never listen to music willingly. HOWEVER, if she WERE to have a favourite music artist, it’s IC3PEAK. I’m not taking any other singers nope nope nope it’s IC3PEAK. No questions. And if she were to hate a certain genre, it’s rap, country, and pop. She won’t mind slow RNB tho, she don’t hate it.

- Has a crap ton of scars on her body from her raptors playing with her too rough. They keep forgetting she’s not an actual raptor, and is literally physically unable to fight back.

- Is actually very athletically inclined. She STRONG asf, hella endurance, hella stamina, and hella speed. Think about it, if you’re spending ALL of your time with raptors, and you’re literally the leader of the pack, you have to KEEP UP with them. (She literally gets all her exercise in just by hanging out with her raptors)

- Her short bangs are actually accidental 💀 (she didn’t mean to cut them that short, her hand just slipped ☹️, she couldn’t give a shit tho, she rocks those bangs and she knows it.)

- Has the skincare routine of a teenage boy. Like she’ll just slap water on her face and call it a day. Or if she’s feelin extra motivated, bar of soap, but yet, her skin still GLOWS. (She’s hanging on by a thread cuz she has good skin genetics)

- Mimics the noises the raptors make, and she’s hella good at it. Like you’d think its another raptor, but its just her.

- Is actually rlly good at repairing or building stuff. The modifications on her truck were made BY HER ‼️🗣️

CAS CC

Ironically, the 2 Hair Buns were the hardest for me (cuz CAS CC drives me nuts), as I had to make my own meshes--bleh.

The plainer Buddhist ACC was easier, but it literally took me 2 years to get the more ornate ACC to a point that I could release it for upload, cuz for the longest it was bad. (It's still not great, but better.)

The Hair I already talked about here. The Vermilion Sheer ACC I've used a billion times in my gameplay pics. I separated it from the Phoenix outfit by @amethyst-sims so it could be used with any outfit, Everyday-Outerwear, with fit-fat morphs. Found under Necklaces.

We don't really see LWJ carry his Guqin Back Bag ACC in the live action, but it features a lot more in the donghua, which is directly what my ACC's mesh /& textures are based on. It is found under Garters, so just scroll down past the Socks section and you'll see it.

The 4 Guqins are all 10k polys, but I have tons of them on my lots so they should be fine.

I've shown y'all the animated Music Notes Lights a few times. I just took the mesh from this ACC by Luluke at TSR and retextured it.

They're found under Table Lights (and I think Outdoor Lights IIRC).

The Wall Scrolls are self explanatory.

They have the same variations, either taken from or inspired by the paintings Wei Wuxian drew of Lan Wangji and their pets from the different adaptations.

I made the Bamboo Sheets Stand mesh myself (*le gasp!*).

I got the texture variations on from Noir & Moi's Yuxi conversions. They're not "music notes," but PRETEND, omg.
