Summary: It has always been Azriel and Aiden against the world, but what will happen when the new school years begin and his son talks about this amazing teacher every day?

Warnings: None, just fluff cuz why not?

Notes: Fucking finally, this has been sitting on my drafts for a while and i love this idea.

“DADDY!” Aiden yelled, raising from his spot beside Feyre and rushing to get to him, he lowered to his level and waited for the little boy, he threw himself into his father’s arms, and Azriel wrapped his arms around him, giving him a tight squeeze.

“Hey, buddy! How was school?” His son rushed back to the table, Feyre, Nyx, and a lot of art supplies were waiting for him, he grabbed a piece of paper and ran back to him to show him the drawing.

“Miss Y/L asked us to draw our family.” Azriel looked closely at the figures, the 6-year-old had done a great job, he could see himself, Cassian, Nesta with a huge pregnant belly, Rhys, Feyre, Nyx, Mor, Emerie, Gwyn, Elain, and Lucien.

“That’s a beautiful drawing, you have a lot of talent.” He complimented.

“Aunt Feyre helped me make this drawing so I could give it to Miss Y/L, I really hope she likes it.” The flower bouquet was painted on a piece of parchment paper, Feyre had done the drawing but Aiden had painted it.

“She’s going to love it Den, but why don’t you and Nyx play in the garden while the adults talk?” Feyre suggested as she started to gather the supplies from the table, Aiden looked at Azriel and he nodded, the two boys happily smiled and started to rush outside. “He really loves this teacher.” She said and Azriel got to her side, helping her clean.

“Did he start with the never-ending rant about how amazing and beautiful she is?” She nodded. “You don’t think he’s projecting the feeling he had for his mother on her, do you?”

“Well, I can’t say for sure Az, Nyx likes her too, a lot, sometimes feels like he likes her more than me.” She giggled, rolling her eyes. “Maybe she’s just a really good teacher and there’s nothing to do with his mom.” Azriel nodded.

He had met Laurie in an Illyrian camp 10 years ago, and it was love at first sight, they lived like a happy couple until she met her mate, and decided that it was a good idea to leave Azriel with their 1-year-old son. 3 years ago, the news of her death reached him in Velaris, it was a tough blow that he wasn’t expecting but he slowly got over it, he had to, for his son. Ever since he does everything he can to make sure that his son is happy, and focused his life on him, even if his family tried to tell him that he should live his life too.

“She’s all he talks about ever since they started the school year, you have no idea how many times he asked if he could pick “Aunt Elain’s beautiful flowers” to give them to her.” Feyre looked at him and smiled.

“Let him be Az, it’s probably just a phase.” He nodded.

“Thanks for everything Fey, you’re amazing.” He said giving her a quick hug and kissing her temple.

“Get your hands off my High Lady.” Rhysand spoke with a smile on his face from the doorway. Azriel stepped back with his hands in the air.

“I’m already on my way, don’t need to get all overprotective.” Rhys playfully slapped his back while he walked outside to get Aiden.

“Do you want to eat something?” Azriel asked his son as they walked around Velaris.

“My belly is full Daddy, Miss Y/L brought us the best cookies in the world, she made them.” The toddler happily spoke. “She said that she will teach us how to make them, she’s so nice, I really like her.”

“That’s awesome buddy, you just have to be careful around the fire.” He warned his son.

“Yes Daddy, cuz the fire hurts if we get too close.” He repeated the words Azriel had told him ever since Aiden started to crawl, his son was perfect, and he didn’t want him to be marked like he was, he didn’t need any scars on his perfect brown skin.

Aiden was a copy of him, with the same eyes, the same hair color, the same skin tone, and huge wings behind his back, and even if he could understand his father’s shadows just as perfectly as Azriel did, he had none, at least not yet.

The two kept walking until they reached the townhouse, Rhys knew how Azriel loved that house and decided to give it to him as a gift, it was good enough for him and Aiden and he was happy that his brother made him the owner, he took good care of that house.

Azriel brushed his wet hair, spraying some perfume on his neck and chest as he got ready for the school meeting, the teachers requested to talk about the student's progress and how the parents could help with their learning. Aiden was already ready, playing in the living room as he readied himself, a simple black shirt, pants, boots, and truth-teller strapped on his thigh, his siphons glowed as he looked at himself in the mirror once again.

His son was really excited for him to meet his teacher finally, and even Azriel was curious, Aiden had practically dragged him across the street towards the school, the little boy was rambling all the way, and when he saw his cousin, he left Azriel behind to go play with Nyx.

“Someone is super happy.” Rhys said as Az approached him, the two kids were running around now.

“You have no idea.” He replied looking around, the kids were running and most parents just waited for the reunion, Azriel tried to spot who he thought was Miss Y/L, in his mind, he was looking for an old, kind fae, with white hair and granny coats, weren’t all teachers like that after all?

Faes started to come to the parents to lead them to the classrooms, they followed a male as he guided the way, the classroom was decorated with flowers, and kids' drawings, books, and toys were all over the place, and in the corner, in the front part of the classroom a female stood, she was beautiful, her hair was in a braid behind her back, she was wearing a long dress, and she had the prettiest smile in the world, she looked at Azriel and he swore he could see the world shining brighter as she looked at him, she couldn’t be…..

“Miss Y/L!” Aiden yelled, running past them and jumping in the female's arms, she lifted him from the ground, laughing with him.

“Hi Den, did you bring your daddy as I asked?” She spoke, her voice was calm and airy, and hearing her talk made Azriel feel like he was walking on clouds.

“Yup!” The toddler proudly nodded and pointed at Azriel who still stood in the doorway. “Daddy, this is Miss Y/L.” He happily said as the female walked closer to him.

Of course, everyone in Velaris knew who the Spymaster was, but it was something entirely different seeing him in person for the first time, the tall male was absolutely breathtaking, he was wearing the simplest clothes on earth and yet he looked perfect, the cobalt gems adorning his body, to contain his powers, glowed as he looked her up and down.

Y/N felt her cheeks getting hot as she approached the male, his eyes still glued to hers, she could feel the sparks of electricity as she held his gaze, extending a hand in his direction.

“I’m Y/N.” She managed to say, her voice more steady than she expected, good!

“Azriel. I’ve heard a lot about you.” The male chuckled and Y/N felt her knees go weak at the sound.

“Oh, i could say the same about you, little Aiden here loves his father more than anything else.” The little boy held his father’s hand while he blushed. “What about you take your Daddy to your seat and we’ll talk more later?” She lowered to Den’s level and he nodded, pulling his father to the empty seat in front of her desk. She went to greet other parents that arrived in the classroom.

“I wasn’t expecting that AT ALL.” Rhysand spoke as Azriel approached him, Nyx and Aiden sat side by side in class, he smiled at that, loving how close the cousins were like they saw each other as brothers the same way their parents did.

“What?” Rhys gave him a knowing look and he rolled his eyes.

“That she would be this pretty, guess I was expecting an old lady.” Azriel scoffed.

“Don’t let Feyre hear you, or you might sleep on the couch tonight.” Rhysand laughed and the two males looked at her while she spoke about the class progress. One by one, the parents approached her to speak about their children, they were the last ones in the classroom when she came to speak with them.

“High Lord!” She bowed a little. “Thank you two for coming in today. The boys are absolutely wonderful, they’re the top ones in class, but I’m afraid that they have some trouble with maths, I’ve been giving them extra exercises but maybe you two could keep an eye on that, and see why they’re struggling with that.”

“Of course, do you teach privately?” Rhysand asked, saying that she could teach a thing or two to Azriel in his mind, Azriel slightly shoved the High Lord and Rhysand suppressed a laugh.

“I do! If you need me just contact the school and they will let me know.” She smiled at them, and Azriel felt his chest fill with warmth with that.

“Thanks, Y/N.” He said, and the two said their goodbyes leaving her behind.

Azriel rushed through the school corridors, opening the door to the nurse’s office, he almost fell to his knees as he spotted Y/N sitting in the corner, Aiden was in her lap, he was holding his little arm, and his cheeks were red from crying, his head was resting against her chest and she had her cheek pressed against his forehead, whispering a song to calm him down. The way his son grabbed her like she was the only person that could keep him safe, made Azriel’s heart bleed, the two turned their head to him.

“He fell while playing in the garden, the healer said that his arm just hurts cuz he fell on top of it, it’s not broken, and he’ll be okay. He’s just scared.” Azriel kneeled in front of them, and Den’s puffy red eyes locked with his, he grabbed his son, cradling him to his chest, kissing the top of his head. She still looked worried, like she was about to cry, the only people that worried that much about his son, were his family.

“Thank you so much for always taking care of him.” His voice was shaken, and the shadows around him still moved frantically, assessing Aiden for any injuries she could not be aware of.

“There’s nothing to thank me for, Aiden is a special boy, it’s my pleasure to take care of him.” She said gently, rubbing the toddler's back, Aiden was already sleeping in his father’s arms.

“No modesty please, let me pay you a coffee, I insist.” Azriel didn’t know why, but he wanted her to understand how much he appreciated her for all her care for his son. He could see that she was inclined to accept, so he talked again. “Meet me tomorrow morning at the Oak Alcove, by the Rainbow. At 9!” He said, thanking her once more, grabbing his son’s backpack, and leaving without waiting for an answer, he just hoped she would show up.

Y/N walked between the tables trying to spot the Shadowsinger, she was wearing a simple dress, and she rubbed her sweaty hands in the soft fabric for the third time, she gave another look around before she saw a hand raised in the air, Azriel was wearing leather clothes, the breath got caught in her throat as she looked at him, absolutely beautiful.

“You came.” He smiled at her, getting up to pull the chair for her, she sat, thanking him. She didn’t know if it was just a coincidence, but the Oak Alcove was her favorite coffee shop in Velaris, the soft breeze from the Sidra, the smell of flowers, the soft music, it was a magical place.

“I did.” She laughed. “ It’s not often that I get to go to my favorite coffee shop for free.” She joked.

“And here was i, thinking we would split the bill.” He rested a hand on his heart, pretending to be hurt and she liked that, everyone just saw him as a serious and stoic male, which was intimidating, but the way he smiled, a sight that she was sure wasn’t often people saw, made her heart melt.

Azriel was a pleasant male, the way he softly spoke, his wide knowledge of everything, his passion for literature, he was really much more than the eyes could see. The time flew as they got to know each other better, now she understood why Aiden loved him so much, the Shadowsinger was sweet, gentle, wonderful, her heart skipped a beat every 5 seconds, and she tried to stop blushing like a little girl every time he smiled in her direction.

“This was fun.” She said after he stated that he should leave, he had plans with his son.

“It was.” He got closer to her as they walked away. He walked her to her house, not far away from the coffee shop. “I was hoping we could do it again if it’s okay for you.” Her heart came to a stop in her chest.

“I would love to, Azriel. See you around.” The way she spoke his name, it was a sweet melody.

“She’s wonderful.” He said, stretching his wings, the glass of liquor dancing in between his fingers, Rhysand smiled and Cassian entered the office.

“What’s happening?” Rhys served him a glass as well.

“Azzie here is in love with Den’s teacher.” Cassian whispered a “NO WAY!” shuffling his onyx hair, making Azriel growl at him.

“I’m not in love with her.” He sipped on his drink. “Yet!” The trio laughed.

Azriel knew he was wrapped around her fingers when he kept going to the school every day, just to see her smile, just like his son, he would bring her flowers, he would take her out, after suffering because of Laurie, he was ready to open his heart again, especially for someone like her, she was perfect for him and he was ready to take their relationship to the next level.

“Where are you going daddy?” Aiden asked as Azriel fixed his tie in the mirror.

“I’m going out with Mrs.Y/L, you like her, right?” He pulled his son closer.

“Yes, she’s amazing.”

“Would you like it if she was Daddy’s girlfriend?” His little eyebrows furred and he looked confused.

“Will she be my mommy?” The words shattered his heart and he swallowed the lump in his throat, feeling his eyes burn, he knew Aiden probably missed his mother, he noticed how he would look to Feyre when Nyx called her mommy, Azriel knew he wanted, craved that too, and broke his heart not be able to give that to his son.

“Maybe in the future buddy, if she wants to.” His son nodded and Azriel fixed his hair, he dropped Den in the River House before meeting Y/N for dinner, the bouquet Elain prepared for him was almost slipping from his shaking fingers, Y/n was already there waiting for him, she smiled, getting up to greet him with a quick kiss, they shared their first kiss after their fifth date, and he couldn’t keep his hands to himself ever since, her lips were sweet and she fitted so perfectly against him, she was made for him.

“I want to ask you something.” Azriel had been building up the courage all night, Y/N dropped her spoon, her lips smudged with chocolate and he smiled at her, she was beautiful. “Will you be my girlfriend?” She almost jumped from her seat as she shook her head agreeing, he took her home that night, where they made love until sunrise.

“Mrs. Mommy I need help.” Aiden’s voice sounded from somewhere behind her and she immediately turned around, seeing him shaking the glitter off his tiny fingers. Az had mentioned what happened between him and Den’s mom, and how he knew his son wanted a mother, she just didn’t expect that.

“Hi Den, what do you need?” He showed her his fingers glued together.

“My fingers are sticky.” She guided him to the sink.

“Let’s wash it then.” She said, then releasing the kids to their break. Azriel showed up like he did almost every day, he was holding a cup of coffee and some cookies for her.

“Hey love, what’s wrong?” He kissed her cheek and closed the door.

“Aiden called me mommy today. Mrs.Mommy to be precise.” She giggled a little.

“Shit.” Azriel didn’t want to pressure her to assume a motherly role to Den, but he also couldn’t exactly control these kinds of things. “I can talk to him if you want, tell him that you’re not his mom. He’ll understand.”

“I just don’t want him to be confused, I don’t know.” He hugged her. “I love him, just as much as I love you. Maybe tell him not to do it at school? Cuz the principal is already fuming that we’re dating.” He smiled.

“Maybe she’s jealous.” He joked and she laughed, she loved them really much. And her heart clenched hearing Den call her mommy. Maybe they could make this whole thing work.

“You can’t catch me.” Aiden smirked, as Cassian chased him and Nyx, they were at a picnic with the inner circle, and Y/N was more than welcomed among them, they really liked her, she was getting really close to Feyre, the two were watching as the general pretended to be slower than the children. Den rushed to her, jumping on her lap and hiding from Cassian, while Azriel watched from afar. She looked at him, and it was like the whole world had come to a stop, she was the only thing holding him on earth, he had always assumed he was just lucky to have found someone so similar to him, and now he understood that it wasn’t luck, she was perfect for him because she was made for him, his mate, his equal, the love of his life.

She blinked too overwhelmed as she explored the newly found bond between them, she had suspected for a while that he might be her mate, she had hoped and she had prayed to the Mother that she was right, and there it was, glowing like a thousand suns, the mating bond tying them to each other for the eternity, finally everything was complete for them.

I’ll just ask the big lil ole question in here buuut what would the ROs do in a Orpheus and Eurydice situation. Who would look back and who would resist looking?

ooh interesting ask 🤔 I’m going to answer this assuming a relationship has already been recently established between mc and the ROs and that their mythology regarding death/afterlife is the same as the Greeks cuz otherwise their answers would differ in ways I can’t explain bc spoilers

Kieran: The urge to look—to be sure—would of course be eating them alive, but they would never forgive themself if, on the off chance mc really is there and Hades was telling the truth, they looked and lost mc again forever and it was all their fault, their own insecurity. So they'll put their faith not in Hades' word, but in mc, and trust that mc is following behind them. They would follow mc anywhere so they'll trust that mc will, too.

Aurynn: Honestly, he likely wouldn’t even be in this situation bc he’s already right there with mc—like not even a question of bringing mc back as he doesn’t think it’d be possible and would instead bargain for being allowed to join mc in whichever of the three afterlives they were sent to (probs elysium). If he were in an Orpheus/Eurydice situation tho, I think he would probably be driven mad by the silence—the doubt—and the increasing surety that he had been tricked as he has little faith in gods and he would end up looking. The guilt would be crushing, and when he finds he can’t get back into the underworld, he’ll get in the same way mc got in.

Samira: She has plan A all the way through Z planned out, so if petitioning Hades does not work she’s moving onto the next plan. Though the silence and gnawing doubt would be unbearable, she would resist looking if it means there is some small chance this succeeds—she's come this far and can't mess up now, especially not when mc has their faith placed in her. She won't let them down. Either way, she is getting mc back one way or another. Even if that means she needs to…break some rules.

Nihm: Is desperate and heartbroken, so they need to believe this is true. And because it has to be true, they cannot look no matter what—they wouldn't be able to live with themself with mc's blood on their hands, even if they weren't what really killed them. They would be squeezing their eyes shut the entire walk back and would not open them again until mc breaks the unbearable silence.

Lilith/Lucien: Wouldn’t trust that the gods would keep their word and might try to find a way around the rules (“Hey, I didn’t turn around. I used a mirror to double-check. That’s not allowed? Well, you should have specified. I followed the rules you gave me.”) or some way to get some leverage in this situation if the gods end up cheating them. If mc is not behind them when they return and they can’t get back into the underworld the same way they did the first time so they can kill god 🔫, they’re getting back in the same way everyone does eventually. It was bound to happen sooner rather than later, anyways.

Hey,

I kind of wonder why Lucien admitted they were mates (with Elain) the moment he knew it? I know they were at a sensitive situation where he probably had protective feelings towards her, but it kinda threw me off how unlike with Cassian and Rhysand he immediately blurted it out and especially since for Elain, she didn't know much of the fae world yet, so it could be really sudden... She was also thrown into the cauldron, so it all was too much.

It kind of also goes against the way the other relationships in acotar happened cuz first there were mutual feelings (love/lust or both) from both sides and then it became clear they were mates, even if they didn't admit they loved each other, they did. The mate bond was just like a cherry on top in those cases.

So what I want to say is that in all ways, SJM set up a different situation for Elain/Azriel/Lucien then she did for other's and its another reason I don't think Elriel and Lucien will end up together. Even after the mating bond, there had been zero progression in terms of feelings.

I also think Sjm pays attention to the choice of females, which is, in this case, what or who Elain will choose.

We all know who Elain has in her mind and who makes her feel heard and at ease. Who wasn't given to her as a mate but who she, herself, will choose and that story will be told in her book

Honestly, I think he truly was just shocked amd traumatised. For years he believed his dead lover was his mate but suddenly now feels a bond with a random woman he just met? It was a slip of the tongue which I can’t really fault him for. Rhys just had better control and time. Also the ability to winnow away. Lucien had to stay there and feel strange instincts for Elain.

You’re completely right, from the get go - Sjm has set up elucien to be different from her other couples. It was like something just snapped, and the mate instincts were strong and took over Lucien. It actually reminds me of Rhysands parents’ and how the bond just snapped straight away. Whereas with Feysand and Nessian - it was this natural development. They were drawn together, felt strongly about each other, they had attraction etc. With Lucien…its more instinct then developing natural feelings for Elain. And those instincs seem to have dulled the longer he is away from Elain which is interesting because again, it mimics Rhysands parents.

I think its Sjm’s way of showing us how there’s two distincs bonds. A fated bond - like Feysand and Nessian - with both males feeling as though Feyre/Nesta were their mates even as human + even tho the girls weren’t fae - their batboys were still drawn to them. Elucien break away from that pattern- I find it even more interesting how, during Luciens monologue instead of focusing and telling us readers how Lucien was drawn to Elain when he first saw her as a human - she focused on his instincts and how Elain isnt really his type comparing her to Jesminda.

the second type of bond coming from the cauldron and as we know from Rhys and now Hofas, the cauldron seems to pair faes on their basic instinct - which pairs can produce powerful offspring - it explains Luciens intense instincs towards Elain initially and why they became mates. Az was weakened, Lucien infinitely stronger therefore -> the cauldron snapped the bond between Lucien and Elain. So the cauldron bond doesn’t seem to be based on love or soulmates - just based on power. Less romantic. Also explains why there is a punishment if the bond is broken.

Yh. People need to understand - mating bonds are not necessary. They’re just confirmation these two people were also meant to be, but a bond - in Sjms universes - does not affect or define a relationship. Love comes first. They choose each other, THEN decide to accept the bond, its not “oh well we’re mates so lets make it work” its “you’re the love of my life and I want to always be tied to you therefore I will accept this bond” kind of like marriage.

I think its so important to recognise that elucien have had no development aside from distancing themselves- for 3 whole books. There is no attraction from Elain. They aren’t drawn together. They seem to be an illfit and both seem to understand this. Lucien seems to see Elain as simply his mate. He longs for his mate to accept him as he was led to believe that is his “soulmate” someone who will always be tied to him. Yet for Elain, Lucien is nothing more then a man she has an unwanted bond too.

All 3 characters will go through a moment of choice.

Elain -True love or succumb to the bond?

azriel - Follow his Hl’s order or follow his heart/instinct to Elain

Lucien - accept the BD and fight for Elain or let her go and mutually reject the bond.

Mass has really created such an interesting dynamic, she’s bringing something new to the table which opens doors for her to explore in new or old series.

Part 2

alphonse who takes care of them when there doing arts and crafts

seth who watches them out side during play time

finn who teaches them of how to take care of plants and takes care of the little garden that they have outside

lucien who takes care of the snacks and make sure that they're all healthy

Charlie who reads the kids stories when it's story time

auron the boss of the hole thing he still is in the daycare but he's doing his paperwork on a clipboard and thanks to the kids being a little scared of him so he has time for himself.

1 whole month has passed since the opening of the daycare Alphonse teaches them how to be clean after part time Seth takes them outside so he can play with the kids and make sure that they're all safe overall it was a good month, but the only problem is that little rookie does not want to ever do anything fun all little Rook wants to do is just stay by auron and he has no problem with this it's just that Little Rock needs to interact with kids. So auron is going to spend some time out of his office with Little Rock since they didn't feel safe.

*meanwhile*

Alphonse was just finishing up cleaning the Arts area and little boo came over because they wanted to help they did get distracted by a couple things but they were a good helper

Litte boo: *puts a pink sticker on his face* "you look pretty in pwink"

Alphonse: awwww thank boo *pats boo's head*

And over the time that boo was helping alphonse decided to Award them with a cookie but told not to tell anybody.

And Seth came in with the kids as Alphonse was putting some stuff away and then decided to take over bringing in a book about plants and a couple of plant stuff since they're going to grow their own tomato a fun little project for the kids.

As they were getting ready to start with the basics auron came over and said that Rook needed to be with kids so he is going to be with them for the time being.

Auron: rookie need to have some time with kids instead of being with me all day so today I will be joining you guys in your plant making thing

Then handed out the pots for the soil and told them not to fill it up too high or too low and everyone grabbed a small little toy shovel and scoop some soil into their pot where they will plant the seed rookie was doing it very slow cuz they were nervous so Aaron helped then the bit and everything was ok

After a wild day finished putting their soil into their pots and finally they got to choose what seed there were a flower seeds tomato seed and a cucumber seed so....

Boo/sugar got flower seed

Orchid got cucumber seed

Little mouse got tomato

Angel got tomatoe seed

And rookie got flower seeds

And told them exactly the instructions on how to plant them and then get a spray bottle and spray some water so they can have water to drink after that they put their names on the pot and put him on the window sill where the sun shines and they were done with that activity of the day

And for the rest of the day auron stayed with rookie outside of his office keep an eye on them and to make sure everything was doing okay in the daycare.

And so when they was time for the parents to pick up their kids auron told Rookie's mom what happened today and what was going on with them turns out their mother told him that they have some social anxiety and they've been trying to work things out and trying to get them out more.

He nodded and bid farewell to rookie and as they were walking away rookie waved bye to auron and he knows that tomorrow that it's going to be more chaotic again like everyday care is.

I can explain. I can explain about Lucien...I like the way how easy it is to say out his name. Lucien...And also, his job occupation is the same dream job I want! A pediatric psychiatrist! At least his JOB doesn't describe what he is like...does it? 5~6/10.

Sullivannnn!! His nationality reminds me of mine! He's part chinese, and my nationality is korean which kinda relates as the same asians. I also love how tanned his skin is compared to others, it gives unique vibe!! 7/10!

Despite how much fanarts I draw out of him, Actually Julius doesn't reaches to the highest tiers. I love his design, backstories or the way he kills, but maybe his personallity is the reason I'd say? I love him!

Octavian Doherty. Oh gosh, I won't lie, his first design before looked a lot alike Jason The Toymaker, the creepypasta. But since his design and settings changed a lot, I like this new version 10000 times better!! I just cannot understand what he talks when he texts, that's affecting his middle tier. 6/10!

Devlin? Oh he's nice...Yeah...But I don't like the way he've treated his girlfriends before, 4/10.

I don't know anything about Duvessa, just except that she's Killian's favorite woman, her hairstyle, and her eye color!! But at least she gets along with Sera and she's pretty so...I'll just place her above the worst fav tier. No rate comments yet since I don't know her yet!

Things that bother me most about the ACOTAR characters that keep me up at night - Rhys, Feyre, Cassian and Nesta Edition. Please do not atatck me I'm just sharing my thoughts to see if anyone else gets a bothered by these.

Rhysand:

Telling Azriel if he needs to fuck someone to go to a pleasure hall and pay for it was such an unneccesarily cruel thing to say to his "brother". I like Az but I no longer can see him with Elain after a few read throughs of the series but there was no reason for Rhys to be THAT harsh in telling him to stay away from her. Like that is how you're talking to someone you claim to love in your court where you apparently "don't pull rank" - yeah okay.

Not telling Feyre about her pregnancy. I do not care if he thought it was removing stress from her, he took away her choice to help be involved in finding a solution or at least prepare for the outcome ahead.

Enjoying Nesta being afraid of him at the start of ACOSF. I know he isn't her biggest fan but his mate loves her cuz that is her sister like dude you shouldn't get an ego boost from her fearing you. It's gross to me and such a toxic trait. Reminds me of real men I don't like.

I feel like Rhysand only gives people choices that he is able to orchestrate. When you read through all the moments he's giving someone options you notice they are mostly options that no matter how someone chooses it's gonna benefit him and/or his court and his court only. Or he puts people in positions where essentially they don't have a better option - the only better option is to agree with him. Does no one else notice that??? Should I make a separate post on that in better detail one day?

Feyre:

She hesitates before she interrupts Ianthe from SAing Lucien. And when she does interfere its cuz she thinks of what Ianthe has done to Rhys. Look, I do not care how mad I am at a friend - I do not care if it is the person I hate most, I could never hesitate to stop someone from going through the trauma of SA. Whether I love or hate you if I can stop it I am going to stop it.

Telling Nesta directly that one of the few reasons she's forcing Nesta to go through .... whatever you wanna call the whole training/house of wind/library routine - is because if Feyre and Rhys can't even control Nesta why should they deserve to rule a court. I understand this from a political point of view but I do not think that is a helpful way to talk to someone in such a bad state. If someone said that to me I would think to myself: So I'm just damage control you're doing and not actually cared about.

I know people love the whole Feyre in her night gown going to Lucien with a nightmare. But when you think about it more it's so dangerous to Lucien. Yes, I know Feyre listens to make sure Tamlin didn't attack Lucien after she left the room but what if he did and she was a second too late to stop it??? Not only would that leave Lucien harmed or dead but like what would that have done to Elain??? Would she feel it through the bond? What would have happened to her if Lucien died??? No consideration for Elain or Lucien in that moment.

Pointing out Lucien is hanging out with other people who don't have a home. That was a cruel comment. That was a comment not needed and maybe she said it cuz she was hurt he doesn't seem comfortable in her home with her famoly but what do you expect from him when everyone either treats him coldly or tolerates him. Like we have maybe 2 or 3 canon moments where the Inner Circle is being decent to him. Like yeah I'm sure he isn't comfortable. That's not even touching the awkward Elain thing going on.

Cassian:

"Everybody hates you!" Yucky. He knew Nesta was in a bad place and there were signs of self-loathing and he still said that. Then he wants to pout and whine that she doesn't open up easily to him or talk to him about what bothers her for quite a while.

Not having enough patience with her when she isn't ready to call him her mate. She's just gotten somewhat comfortable with being Fae and she just now is really getting a life of her own within Velaris. She did not choose to be Fae, she was just getting comfortable. She even tries to kinda explain to Cassian that the word mate would take away the last scrap of her humanity. She isn't even trying to be hurtful in that moment, she's just stumbling to explain why it was so hard for her to say "mate" and what does Cassian do in response? Not only does he keep demanding her to say it he also goes: "Well, I didn't have a choice in being shackled to you, either."

When Nesta comes up the 10,000 steps the first time and she has visible wounds that she's fallen. He couldn't take like five seconds to just "By the way, are you going to heal alright or are you in bad pain?"

Nesta:

Judging Feyre at the dinner table in ACOMAF when Feyre first visits with Rhys, Cassian and Azriel. So rude and snide and full of hate for no real reason. I love Nesta now but ohhh did I hate her in those first two books.

How she told Feyre the truth was bad. While I would much rather hear the truth even if it was meant to hurt me than to not have a single fucking clue what was happening to my body and my baby, I still did not like how Nesta went about the situation.

Telling Elain she may finally be interesting was just a tasteless low blow.

This is getting too long so I might do a Part 2 for the ones that have a somewhat shorter list: Azriel (still adore him) Lucien (yes, I do actually have some fair criticism of him despite being a clear Lucien lover) Elain (I have only 1 comment but if I put it in this one I feel people are gonna rip me apart) Mor, and Amren.

What I love about elriels is that I genuinely feel that we are the ones who actually care the most about Elain. I see some and they seem to forget that the story evolves around the Archeron sisters and not the males or side characters. No matter how much they want it to

"Oh but Elain has to be with A cuz he went through a lot"

"No she is not right for B, because she can't handle his darkness"

"C is soo much more interesting then Elain cuz she's not boring, so I ship C with B instead"

Like SHUT UP and treat Elain with more respect. I'm sick of the accusations that kindness, shy, gardening, quiet = boring. That people just look at the surfase and judge. I mean not that it isn't happening in real life and maybe in Elain's case this is gonna be exactly the point what Sjm wants to prove.

Whether they want it or not Elain's book is happening, so its important to see who SHE wants to be with instead of saying, "oh but he only lusts after her" or "oh, but he keeps his distance because he's afraid of rejection "

I can't wait for her book ❤️

yeah, I never understood, honestly, why people considered Nesta more interesting than Elain?

Elain has a richer background--even when we think of her life as a human, how did she meet Graysen, how did they fall in love, what was her relationship with her parents like, what did she feel about Lucien, Azriel?

Like we've had so much more info about Nesta prior to her book, whereas we know NOTHING about Elain. Just from that standpoint, her story is fascinating.

What does she feel as a Seer? WHat are her other powers?

How did she feel sitting next to the Cauldron? what did she think was going to happen? How did she get to the King to stab him?

Genuinely bizarre to me that people don't have these questions and don't want answers for them!

You don't need to like Elain, but not being interested in her and her story is just plain weird. Because of ALL of them, it's probably her, Vassa, Amren and Azriel who have the most fascinating stories which we are yet to discover.

But I suppose that's what happens when you only read the books for the guy(s).

Do you have any interesting facts about him? Cian?

I mean, I'm working on an entire novel about him xD so yes I have many, many, countless facts about Cian! If you want more specific things just feel free to ask but I'll give you a general summary of some more basic things:

Cian is Killian's first biological child. Killian had turned 13 only one month before Cian was born.

They met for the first time when Cian was 13 and Killian was 26, after Cian ran away to find Killian.

Cian was born and raised in Dublin, a few days before his 13th birthday was when he ran away and got on a ship across the Atlantic, sailing directly to Boston so he could meet Killian.

Due to Cian and Killian being so close in age (only 13 years difference) and Cian already in his teens when they met, it made it impossible for him and Killian to ever form an actual father-son relationship, let alone even see each other as such. This has caused an entire host of issues and is a massive can of worms on it's own.

Cian was VERY determined to join the mob and follow in his father, to be his 'legacy.' Killian could see there was no stopping him and saw the potential Cian had, and took him under his wing. Cian was initiated into the mob only about two and a half months after turning 13. He loved the brutal process and fuckery of it.

Cian had already killed 4 people prior to coming to America. The first person he killed was when he was 9 and he became a hitman at 10.

Killian mentored Cian to take over the mob after his passing which Cian did, still only 13 at the time.

Cian was known to be more brutal and ruthless than Killian ever was, but it earned Cian the respect he needed in the mob being so young.

Cian had his first child a few months before turning 14, he was determined to follow in his father's footsteps a bit too much. However, his Daddy issues are so godawful that it weirdly looped into him being a good father; he's actually good with kids in general.

Do not take that as something that redeems him, the man is pure evil.

Cian got married 4 times. Every wife he had died under suspicious circumstances. (He. He killed them. Yeah.)

When Cian was 29 (and recently 'lost' his last wife), he met Devlin. The two fell in love and are still together very happily.

Cian has BPD and NPD (so does Devlin and it's a huge part of why they work together so well - they're both extremely clingy and need it for emotional security, as well as sharing in their self grandiose delusions - it's not "I'm the best" as much as it is "we're the best") [do not demonize cluster B, I don't tolerate this I just want to be clear, Cian's personality disorders are NOT what makes him a bad person /serious]

Cian has bulimia

Cian was abused by Lucien from ages 13-18, he never told anyone then and still refuses to. He fears that it will make people think less of him.

Cian died by hanging himself at 31 and is therefore age locked at 31. He has permanent bruising around his neck from it.

Cian's birthday is June 3rd

Cian is 6'6, cisgender he/him, and pansexual

He usually wears knee high socks lol and he loves oversized sweaters

Him and Julius are genuinely best friends(platonic) and have been since they first met.

Not sure if you posted about this already. But what are your thoughts on the SJM interview when she said regrading the kiss doll scene

‘ I’ve planned for them to get together,…’

To my understanding, she was referring to the bonus chapter. Which is excellent, because I’m a gwynriel through and through

But she says that she planned to get them together … does that bother you considering elucien? Cuz that bugged me

I don't think that was necessarily referring to the bonus chapter because the interview, from what it sounds like, says that when writing a scene where she planned on two characters getting together.

"sometimes I will write a scene where I planned for them to get together, and they have no - it's like holding two dolls and being like" now kiss". And like - they won't and it will only take one scene where it's like "wow, okay, this is not like - even in my head what I thought would happen."

It seems she's telling us as she has been gearing up to write a physical scene that she had planned for two characters she envisioned as endgame, or even begins imagining how the two will eventually come together, she suddenly finds they have no chemistry and had to scrap the entire idea. I think that's more in line with what she spoke of with Lucien and Nesta, where she had always thought they'd be together until she realized they'd cause one another more hurt. It was her plan for them until she realized that they were not well matched. And when she later talks of characters that lead her story and tell her where they want to go, I think she's referring to pairings like Nessian who she said had chemistry from the moment they sat down at the table together.

And I don't think, had she been planning on two characters ending up together only to find out they fizzled when it came down to it, those scenes would have made it through the first draft or been written down in the first place. I imagine she began writing their journey with the intent of something happening only to go back and remove the scenes that would have led to the planned scene of them together, the scene that ended falling flat. At that point I imagine she would have course corrected and written in new scenes or hints of who they were actually going to end up with. Since she tells us Elain and Lucien took her by surprise in book 2, I think she has known for a long time she's building toward their endgame as they are an example of characters telling her where they wanted to go and I think the near kiss between she and Az on Solstice was premeditated as something that was always being set up to fail. The E/riel rebound seemed intentional because the Elucien pairing took her by surprise and she needed something for Elain as a bridge between her failed engagement and the acceptance for her mating bond. As far as Az and Gwyn, I think it's clear that SJM is headed in that direction and the language she uses for them makes it seem obvious that she has (in her mind) gotten them to a scene where they'd "kiss" and the chemistry remained so she's been moving forward with hints to their endgame. But I'm not sure if Gwyn was pre-planned for him and the pairing stuck as she initially hoped or whether SJM thought he'd end up with someone else like Emerie but realized Emerie was possibly meant for Mor instead and Gwyn ended up surprising her for Az.

HELLO!!!

Okay so I only started reading monsterfucking books this month and I’m a pretty slow reader so I’ve only read ✨three✨. And two of them I wouldn’t reallllly recommend BUT what I would recommend is:

- A Bone in His Teeth by Kellen Graves, which is about a guy who is looking for his mother in a seaside town and ends up making a deal with a merman👀. It does have actual plot though so it’s not just monsterfucking. But the main character is also a trans man which I thought was nice, and the merman has two dicks so take from that what you will hfhfg

I have no other recommendations that I’ve read BUT I can offer my ✨to read list:✨

- The Church of the Mountain of Flesh by Kyle Wakefield, which I think is more of a cosmic horror and has monsterfucking in it?? I’m presuming the main character fucks some kind of eldritch god anyway. But cosmic horror is like a wife to me so <33 (And again the main character is a trans man)

- Prince of Lust by Lucien Burr, this is a novella I think?? It’s short anyway. And by the looks of things is pretty much just porn LOL. But it’s about a priest and a demon 👀

- Angels Before Man by Rafael Nicolás, which idk if it counts as monsterfucking?? But it’s basically a retelling of the fall of lucifer but gay

That’s the top of my list anyway, I have a few other books on there but idk how much monster sex they’ll have in them hgjfk. But I hope this has been informative 🫡

Ok hear me out... Has anyone read twisted series by Ana Huang? because I was thinking an ACoTaR x Twisted crossover... but not like a full fanfiction just a description (?) of what it can be cuz I can't write for the life of me (I can't write in my mother language let alone in another one!)

I mean Twisted Love is my least favorite of all the books (like very least) so I have to change many things of it to fit Elain and Lucien. Lucien is going to be so sassy and cocky (not like Alex who has a personality of a rock) and Elain is still a florist but ALSO a photographer. I'm pretty sure a modern AU Elain would be a great photographer as well!!

Twisted Games is my favorite out of all of them if I'm being honest. So Gwyn is a princess who likes to sing sometimes. She has a sister who's is about to be the future queen but is she? (yeah we're not killing Catrin in fact we give her a wife!!) and Azriel is her bodyguard.

Twisted Hate is my second Favorite and also the first book I read from this series (don't ask why I did that lmao). I always see Nesta in a modern au as lawyer!! She's studying and getting ready to become a lawyer. And Cassian is a sports massage therapist and a gym owner and happens to be her colleague and her trainer... he's a menace of course!!

Twisted Lies... well let me tell you the only reason I didn't liked this book as much as I wanted to, is Christian being so much like Alex but I liked the story in general and you can't tell me Stella and Christian doesn't give of Feysand vibes... Feyre has a art therapy degree and her dream is to open an studio but she's also a blogger on social media and tries to save money from their earnings but she has difficulty to reach a decent engagement. She also has a crazy stalker of an ex boyfriend that she still hasn't manged to get rid of (which is Tam/in). Rhysand is her landlord of the most secure apartment (she used to share it with Ressina, but now she's alone), and he's accepting the payment of her rent, which is way lower than the original price because she happens to be Nesta's sister who is his SIL and also Cassian's and Mor's BFF and you have to believe him that these are his only reasons... He has a security company and does other things as well... (and it's not illegal at all)

I mean as I go I'll defiantly add to the plot of each couple. But I'll start with Gwynriel because Twisted game was almost without any connection to the other books (and I love that book the most... and Gwynriel week is near) and from what I have in mind each one is going to be long lol

Lucien is a billionaire... cuz why not? Bat boys are adoptive brothers (Rhys' mother adopted Cass and Az) Azriel works for Rhysand but Cassian took a different road as you can see. Archeron sisters have a shaky relationship specially after their mother's death. Valkyries are bffs and went to collage together. Feyre, my baby, will go through it here as well. I'm not sure if I should keep Rhys' sister and mother alive and kill his father or kill them all... we'll see hehe

ugh, me too. i refuse to believe the vanserra family is that fucked up to where they never got along and they all dislike each other. i know beron has been pitting them against each other for literally centuries smh.

So, in my fictional universe, the order of the brothers is as follows: Eris, Pyrolas (Pyro), Conleth (aka Connie 🥹), Oakland (Oak), Finch & Foxe (twins, both deceased), and Lucien.

We know Eris. We love Eris.

Pyro, man what a hot head. We've discovered a little bit about him through You Know I Always Liked Playing with Fire. He's messy. Second born, second best. Never enough to live up to his older brother. Beron has pitted them against each other for the longest time. Deep down, Pyro really just wants someone to be proud of him. But he's a little twisted because he's never had love and all he's seen is the piss poor excuse of a father treating his mom like shit. Except for when he found out about Lucien and his partner. There was a flicker of guilt as he watched the twins pin Lu down while his lover perished before them all. He's so incredibly hurt that he takes it out on others, on his brothers, parents, people of the court, his partners. He wants someone to hurt as much as he hurts. He's a master at the art of façade. No one knows that he wants love because he's so good at pretending he doesn't need it and pushing people away.

Connie, my baby. Ngl I had him as deceased for a bit until that anon reminded me that he was alive. so here he is, im introducing him. Conleth is third born, middle of the pack. he's pretty docile compared to pyro, but he really does enjoy the simple of things in life. he's second mommy's boy, coming after the biggest mommy's boy of all, eris. he's lethal with a bow but those skilled hands are good at many things, like in the bedroom or in the kitchen. he can make a mean pie. i'm feeling as i write this that he's just like us and has a MAD crush on cass and az, have you seen those wings? those powerful bodies? cuz connie dreams of it (he's just like me fr). he keeping it much on the down low because of daddy Ber.

Oakland, love him. Oak is the rational one. He appears in The Autumn Chill, and he's the one that none of the brothers can ever stay mad at. He's the mediator, the strategist. He sees everything and anything and is ever-calculating. Everyone adores him, he's so sweet, but can also put on a show when he needs to, just as all of them can. In Creepy Campfire, we see his playful side, joining in on his brothers jokes because he likes it when his brothers are happy. He wants a better world for his court even though he knows that berons power probably won't fall to him after he dies, he'll stick by the brother that does and off him his intelligence.

Then there's Finch and Foxe. I can see them being like night and day or super fucking similar. cliche to say night and day, i know, but what if they were fire and wind? Foxe gives more bad boy than Finch (who will do whatever his twin asks of him) and they're trouble makers through and through. Foxe is fire while Finch is wind (appropriately named). Where Foxe sets a blazing fire Finch is there to add fuel to the flames. They back each other and aren't worried for title of heir to the throne because they know it won't happen for some time, they'll discuss it when the time nears, if it should happen. both playboys, and i bet they've even shared women between the both of them too. they give that vibe, as strange as it sounds. But, they are no longer, killed off by Lucien and Tam in the books and also in Safe Haven. They held down Lu while Beron killed his lover and they found sick delight in watching, in having a hand in it. They're both twisted as hell tbh.

And of course, Lucien. We know him and we love him too.

so yeah, i guess this is how i'd view them in my personal world 🤷🏼‍♀️😅
