Nap Time

Warnings: None Category: Tooth rotting fluff 💜 Summary: A little more DILF Levi content. Slightly proofread.

The gentle breeze let in from opened windows made Levi tighten his grip around your sleeping form to try and give you as much of his body heat to you as possible. You subconsciously snuggled deeper into his chest upon feeling him pull you closer eliciting a rare smile from him. In his other arm was his adorable toddler clutching to her teddy bear, "Mr. Stuffykins," as if her little life depended on it as she slept. And, on his lap rested the black and white tabby you adopted shortly after your daughter's birth. The kitty purred lightly as she slept sending barely there vibrations through Levi's lower abdomen, he found rather comforting. You four were currently resting in your living room with the TV switched off from being idle for too long. 

How did he get here you wonder?

A few hours earlier, you decided to have a bit of family time and dragged Levi out of his office to watch a Disney movie with your daughter. There was so much work piled up on his desk he almost rain-checked until he saw the cute little pout his daughter gave him. He could never say no to her cutie patootie face. That, and he's never hear the end of it from you knowing your child would be upset for a few days after until she forgot all about it. 

About an hour into the movie about a princess with absurdly long blonde hair, Mittens decided to join in the family huddle and share the warmth. Levi noticed your daughter starting to nod off and was about to turn off the TV for nap time before she interjected. "I no sleep daddy. Ma- my eyes open. See!" She spoke with wide hazel eyes and a determined look on her face. You and Levi shared a laugh before telling her you both believed her. Not even five minutes later, she was out like a light holding Mr. Stuffykins cuddled into Levi's left side. 

He let her sleep for about 15 minutes before he decided that he was going to pick her up and take her to her room for a nap. "Sweetheart," he called out before looking down at you on his right side. His eyes softened upon seeing you sleeping soundly snuggled into his chest, and that's also when he noticed the gentle purr of Mittens on his lap. 

So, that's how he ended up in this situation.

His little family. 

The swell of his heart was too much to bare when he realized that he was the safe space. For you, Kuchel, and Mittens. All three of his girls decided to come to him for comfort. This happens all the time, but never all at once. He might get you and Kuchel to cuddle with him 15 minutes max before she's chasing Mittens around the house with Mr. Stuffykins in tow. He knew that he had a bunch of daddy's girls in the house, but not once has he ever complained! 

After the war ended some time ago, Levi was left with a significant injury to his leg. He tried his best to rehabilitate himself with you, a nurse, to get himself back to normal. The closest he got to normal was using his wheelchair on bad days and a cane on his better days. He's still making progress, but more now since your energetic caramel gum drop was now three and very much full of energy. She hadn't quite grasped that Levi was permanently injured, but she was very perceptive, noticing the little winces he made when he overused his knee. 

"Da sit wif me!" Was her way of telling him that she knows he's hurting without saying it out loud. Levi was very grateful for his little girl. Having her cuddled up against him for so long made him realize how big she's actually grown. It gives him a bittersweet feeling in his chest. 

Maybe he should give you another one?

Making another little light-skinned baby was a conversation he'd bring up to you later. Right now, he decided to join the family nap time. Levi carefully moved his arm from around baby K and gently dug his fingers in Mittens' fur to get her to move for a bit. The cat opened her big green eyes and immediately jumped down into a big stretch. 

While she did that, Levi moved Kuchel onto his chest and pulled you both with him to where he went from sitting straight up to laying down on the couch. There was plenty of space for the both of you to be comfortable with your baby girl on his chest. You stirred a bit from being suddenly moved, but you didn't break consciousness. You slightly readjusted yourself and threw your leg over his hips while simultaneously draping your arm over your baby girl. 

MIttens jumped back on top of your family huddle after Levi carefully draped the throw blanket over everyone. He brushed your kinky curls from your forehead and planted a kiss there before whispering, "I love you sweetheart." He'd do the same to baby K and then gently petted Mittens earning a quiet meow! from her. 

As he closed his eyes and drifted off, Levi knew that he was in the right place. Right here in this beautiful suburban house in Marley with his three girls enjoying a midafternoon nap. 

Yep. 

This was it. 

True love and peace. 

Happiness.

DAY 3: DANGANTOBER

Day 3: Favorite THH Character Makoto Naegi is a cutie patootie. End post.

No, but in all seriousness, I love Makoto. I know I spent the majority of last post ranting about how much I love Hajime, but that doesn't mean I love Makoto any less.

I'll be real, I love the THH cast, so it was very difficult to pick a favorite from that group. I was between Celestia, Junko, Byakuya, and Makoto, but Makoto's who I went with. Like with Hajime, I was worried that Makoto would just be an self-insert character, and in-game, he kind of is? But people also misremember him in game. People characterize him all the time as non-confrontational, and just a hopeful, positive person, but he's a lot more nuanced than that.

Let's not forget that Makoto tried to throw hands with Monokuma more than once, that's pretty confrontational to me. While he puts up a front of a positive, hopeful person, he also has his moments of being affected by everything that's happened to him. Seriously, replay the game, he's got a lot more bite to him.

He's the kind of person I'd want to be friends with, he's a very sweet person, who's not afraid to throw down for the people he cares about.

I also really like his sibling relationship with Komaru. If you skipped UDG, I don't blame you, but aside from the obviously weird things happening in that game, there's also a lot of world building and substance. Maybe watch a playthrough, cringe with whoever's playing it, and get that good lore.

You can see it in the anime too, he just lights up when he sees Komaru's transmission go through, because it's confirmation that he still has her around. Up until that point, he wasn't sure if his family was still around, and now he knows he still has his sister. It's very sweet, and the way he has so much faith in her, and knows she's capable to do whatever it is she needs to do.

But it's The End of Hope's Peak anime that really does it in for me, and cements him as one of my favorite characters. I get it, I'm basic. But one of the bigger points I see get brought up about Makoto, is that they don't really explore the trauma that would go along with being in a game like that. Which is false, but it's definitely something the game doesn't really focus on for the sake of plot.

But in the anime, you can really see how much that affects him. Makoto Naegi suffers from survivor's guilt, and it's so incredibly potent. That moment made me so sad, I had to close my computer and actually GO TO SLEEP? That can't be right. Granted, I watched that episode at like, 2AM, but rewatching it in the morning hit just as hard.

Like with Nagito, Bryce Papenbrook really gives his all for Makoto, including in the anime. You hear it all the time, whether he's just giving someone a pep talk, or reacting to the newest death in the game. He's smarter than people give him credit for, like in the fight with Munakata, he figures out his forbidden action and traps him in a situation where he needs to sit down and talk with him, all on his own. I'd say he's more emotionally intelligent, but he's definitely got brains in his little noggin.

Please, I want his Nendoroid so badly. I own a plushie of him in Future Arc, I bought it at a local fair, and he's my prized possession.

On the topic of emotional intelligence, he's very forgiving and compassionate too. One thing you should know about me, is that I love the SDR2 cast, including when they're the Remnants of Despair. They're cool, their designs are cool, and they're CRIMINALLY underused. Makoto is the one who was able to see past the people they had become, and see the hurt people underneath. Most of the world had written them off as despair-laden monsters, but Makoto actually went against the wants of the Future Foundation in order to rehabilitate them.

Even if it causes him issues, Makoto is very caring and will do what's right. His sense of morality is one that is evidently difficult to skew.

This is a rant/musing/meandering about Worm fans WRT Wildbow. I think it's time I at least once made myself an unsubtly dissenting voice, since silence indicates agreement to so many. Move on if you like. This is probably mostly for me.

I'm white, from the USA, grew up with thrift store clothes and scavenged pencils but got to visit the dentist when needed, and was raised in the same ethnocentric, homophobic, fatphobic, ableist, Puritan-influenced culture that most of us were. I try to routinely examine and correct my biases and blind spots. I am trying to see what I might be missing, with as open a mind as I can manage.

I reread Worm (fourth readthrough, but my retention is meh) these last few months actually looking for any evidence at all I could find of the various phobias (all of them, it seems, and also the vaunted hates-drug-users) that some folk like to assert Wildbow has. I didn't find much that didn't--IMHO--more closely fit an accurate description of how the characters (including Taylor, who is literally a child that grew up in an even less-enlightened environment than most of us) are biased. This, coupled with an unfortunate shortsightedness of methodology (do NOT use dice when you write your story. It seems like a good idea to naive youth, but We Do Not Live in a world where you can just let RNG dictate that your [insert bad thing] is committed by [insert group that is already stereotyped as doing that bad thing]. (Though sometimes that's gonna happen in real life too, and art depicting things that happen in real life is Not Always Bad you just have to be careful about context and tone.) Also, try not to accidentally/subconsciously follow Hayes code-influenced patterns. ...though that's hard to do when you're making almost EVERY character a morally grey one) is all the support I see.

Whew, that was a weird parenthetical juxtaposition. Should I rewrite? Nah; it's already taking too much time.

Seriously, how many actually 100% goodguy fleshed characters does Worm have? Arguably zero. Even Yamada and Legend, by dint of having to work within the confines of their structures, made concessions to evils. Dinah made her ruthless calculus decisions just as Cauldron did. Taylor's famously grey self-justifications were agonized over no more or less than Parian's. A perfect character would be a blemish, arguably. (I'll just take Amy as my woobie; after more than a dozen years of emotional abuse and neglect by her kidnappers, she deserves a bit of consideration and rehabilitation.)

And just like I'm willing to assume that Gregor's somehow flawed, like he offscreen asserted that there are acceptable civilian losses when you're doing crimes or assaulting Cauldrons, and that's clearly bullshit because there's no actual evidence Gregor is anything less than perfect but it's easier to assume evils (and more fun to talk shit) than not, I figure a bunch of folk are trying to fit in by agreeing and priming their confirmation biases accordingly.

And this is without, even, considering the millions of other words in non-Worm stuff. You're gonna read Pale and tell me this same junk?

...though, well, perhaps my cutie Biscuit, and a thing Louise said about addicts essentially vanishing from the lives of their loved ones, might count as being against habitual recreational narcotic use. I'll think about that over my next bottle of wine.

I like reading light novels, and fluffy fanfics, and similar, even though usually the characters involved seldom have what you might call facets. When the retired orc warrior who started a gnomish coffeeshop moves on to her next volume, I'm there, and I don't care if I never find out that she once had to choose between leaving baby goblins to die in a fire or saving a teammate from a spike trap.

I've read so many stories where there's no such thing as an 'ism', or rather there's just no example of representation, because every character is two steps away from being an AFGNCAAP (Ageless, Faceless, Gender-Neutral, Culturally-Ambiguous Adventure Person)

I think Wildbow is serious about trying to always be a better writer in the approaching-MFA sense. I see efforts to portray believable behavior of real "human" (whether human or not) characters from multiple backgrounds, in a world that scans as plausibly diverged from the same sort of ugly we live in today.

I do not see any more latent phobias of any sort than I see in pretty much anything else available to read, from fanfic to bestseller lists to "new favorites" lists at the local library. In fact, I see markedly less, to include some (fuck 'em) commenters complaining about shoehorned-in wokeness.

It's weird to me that, given the body of work and the literal black-and-white facts about who and what exist within, and the extra time and effort the author made and makes (too much, IMO) generously engaging with the fans, the default is to diss the author for not doing even more. In their first work. Of which half the concept and much of the worldbuilding dated from grade-school practice. And it's still great.

And I'm saying this about a story where a significant number of the villains are literally white male nazis, torturemurderers, and literally inhuman terrorists. You wouldn't expect people to be demanding a lot of nuance if you were an outsider to this story. But Worm delivers, IMO.

This is not in response to anything recent; I've been chewing on this for years prior to even joining tumblr or creating this username.

tl;dr: Are you sure you're not talking shit about Wildbow just to fit in with the other cool snarksters and feel cool and cynical and superior? Instead of sincere? Because I went looking, and, respectfully, I think you're wrong. And it's a bit ugly and sad.

Then he recovered and wanted to play Sburb so that he could create a universe where mental health is taken seriously because back on Alternia, if you were struggling, you were culled. So uh yeah also he's a Sylph of Mind so he is the ULTIMATE therapist/counseller/mental health advisor. He beat Sburb but their session was too easy so instead of getting their own universe his group was thrown into Earth-C and now he owns a Rehabilitation centre and Nature Reserve there :)

So what Pokémon/type do you imagine for YQY and GXY? I’ve got a few ideas if you’d be willing to hear them.

fyi I am not as well-versed in pokemon types as I used to be (I actually did run a rather lucrative racket in Pokémon cards back in middle school lol) so I might be a little off. But.

YQY would have Flying Types as I heavily associate him with birds/air—Moltres or Articuno maybe—powerful flight-based pokemon, with a weakness to Rock (…Lingxi Caves anyone? …Too soon?). Possibly Scyther—something fast and deadly to match YQY’s fight style.

GYX I think would have Light or Electric Types—Dedenne immediately springs to mind as I see him having the smaller cute types—maybe Chinchou 🤔. And because he works as a part-time medic, he probably picks up the lower level types and rehabilitates them himself (my excuse for why he has a Zubat because I am completely biased towards those cuties lol)

I wish starlight had a better redemption arc. lowkey that’s the only reason I hate her outside of her dumbass backstory (I could fix it) and the lack of explanation for her being almost alicorn level gifted. like lemme tweak her backstory a bit:

she was considered exceptionally talented and everyone had high hopes for her to go far in life or could even get into celestia’s school (kinda like twilight) but she was suuuuper attached to sunburst in an unhealthy way (bpd gang rise up) leading to her revolving her entire world and life around him and when he left she completely spiraled and used her powers to keep others around her from leaving. her specialty are memory and mind altering spells since she canonically even after her “redemption” can’t seem to stop revoking other pony’s rights to free will.

she operates on pure natural talent and raw might due to lack of proper training so it was actually really easy to defeat her and send her packing out of her village. her second appearance she came back with the alicorn amulet (the one trixie had in that episode, but it was gone so fast I am ignoring it. that’s such a cool item wasted on one episode?? no) which is how she fucked with alternate the realities.

in a world where friendships and bonds are pretty much building blocks for their society I can see it being probable that pony’s without friends could suffer health wise too. not just mentally but physically. maybe she never got her cutie mark and blames friendship in general for stunting her. she doesn’t hate just twilight, she hates ALL of equestria. every other pony has someone and she has nothing and no one. no friends, no cutie mark, no purpose. just rage.

when she is defeated again, she should have faced actual consequences. send that horse to prison. idk. why did cozy glow get sent to hell. this isn’t about her.

I think a probation period or similar where she has to earn back the right to use her magic while attending the friendship school and amending her crimes would have been good to see. she her earning forgiveness. show her earning her cutie mark! show her apologizing to every pony she hurt and then accepting they won’t like her anyway! I know it’s a kids show and really they can’t do too many heavy topics, but also I hate this horse

Starlight's insane magical power without any amulets or anything bothered me, I like the idea of her getting her hands on it instead of her just being super mega OP. I get it's for the sake of the plot but it's also sort of like...does magic need to be trained? What's the point of magic schools if the average unicorn can learn a teleportation spell rather easily? do you guys ever think about how OP magic gets in the later seasons, regardless-

It felt weird that the way they chose to write her being won over by Twilight is literally forcing her between a rock and a hard place. Either start being nicies or apocalypse time forever, isn't that fun! It makes it even more disingenuous with how little time they spend redeeming her or even having her recognize the impact she's had on those around her (it bothers me the show seems more invested in how Starlight has been hurt by the Our Town debacle than the Our Town ponies). It also doesn't help her backstory is embarrassing...like girl write a letter you can levitate quills some kids have to use their damn mouths!

I disagree with her being locked up, mainly because I think MLP's weird tonal dissonance around incarceration is uh really weird for the neon pony story (seriously. why did they lock the child in tartarus, why did they turn the child to STONE). Rehabilitative justice is a GREAT thing for kids to learn, showing that anyone can change with work, kindness, and friendship (in the show at least lol)! But by not centering who Starlight hurt and just rushing through her actually working to be better, it makes her story lacklustre and half-hearted. At least in my opinion!

sorry Stella !!!!! I wanted to post the designs first, but now since theyre up, i can talk a bit!! I haven't thought of everything yet, but here are bits im almost 100% sure of:

As you can see in Dream's design, he doesn't have a cutie mark. That's because I wanted to combine the Admin au/headcanon with the mlp one. The idea behind this is that his purpose in life is to protect the land and maintain peace and harmony. Since the second that more than 10 people decide to stay there quarells start to happen, he does not receive his mark as he has not completed the task of menaging peace (or something pleasei hope it makes sense)

Dream is not an alicorn but just a pegasus. When more conflicts start to pop up (middle of L'manburg war for independence i'd say) he decided to look into magic anyway, in hopes of finding whatever possible to help him- maybe artefacts or non unicorn magic based things (like Zecora's witchcraft ? is this the right way to name it?) After getting the Revive Book he studies it too. At that point in time, the land itself, which has some kind of... mind? sentience? idk, grants Dream the gift of a horn for all his struggles ( a) he's the singular guardian b) he has studied a shit ton) not sure in which way i want this to go, but here are notes: -Dream after gaining his horn may try to hide it using invisibility, shapeshifting or illusion spells. No one knows what other can use against him, so hes better off not parading around with a clear show of importance (+ its pogtopia era when he gains it, so he may want to stay low idk man) -we know that in the show, alicorn change their phisique by becoming larger with time. So maybe after like a year after gaining his new status, Dream starts shifting from an average height pony into a taller one (ex. Princess Cadance or Luna after redesign) no idea what this could be used for, but just thoring it out there

4. From the explosion on the 16th, Wilbur's wings break. The state of his body carries over to Ghostbur, who can still levitate, but isn't capable of moving his wings properly. Though after his revival, Wilbur comes with his wings fully intact. They've been healed since they were damaged very close in time to his death and revival is a bit like respawn- he just needs to rehabilitate and relearn how to fly again. (is this a set up for hurt/comfort? : - ) who knows)

Thankfully, no, not that I'm aware of.

Lord Tirek and Queen Chrysalis are still imprisoned in stone, but Cozy Glow has been in a Rehabilitation Program my late friend Fluttershy started. She's made excellent progress, but she's still currently not allowed to roam freely without supervision.

I must admit, I am worried that Equestria's defenses are weaker than ever since cutting our alliances to the other nations...and the Elements of Harmony my friends and I replanted have yet to react to the descendants. It's as if some pony is...missing. The element of magic for instance does not respond to me, but it has glowed faintly when a group of my students is present. They don't look like cutie marks anymore, of course, so it's impossible to know who the elements will respond to. I'm not sure which student it responds to, and no one outside of the descendants is allowed near the new tree of harmony. So, I will not be able to find out. ✨

I’m the anon who had the health scare, I’ve got goodish news! I’m not in pain 24/7 anymore, but I don’t have an exact reason why it happened in the first place. Other then having an awkward conversation with the doc about at home remedies in front of my grandparent, they really didn’t seem to know. I’m going to take it in stride for now and instead ask about our favorite theater cuties: Do the other animatronics get to interact with boys? In operating hours I’m sure it be pretty minimal since they’re confined to the theater and it would most likely be a glam rock coming in to pick up a birthday group. But maybe some after hours?

When they did shows in the main theater, it was also where Freddy and Co. did concerts (the original gang, mind you, when Foxy and Bonnie were there). They probably shared 'lodges' with them, and Moon does stage lighting (that's what his cable system was for, at first-- along with scenes that need flying and special ways to move) and it's the thing he's as serious about as his villain roles, so he probably even lent a hand to set up the stage lighting and rigging.

You know those kids who take playing pretend very seriously in everyday life? (no shade, I was like that and literally convinced myself to like fish because of that dfkldgjkl long story) Sun and Moon were kind of thought of like that: sometimes it was a lil awkward, but they were still well-liked

And then, the rock show becomes bigger and bigger, there's less and less theater shows-- Until suddenly no more Sun and Moon one day. Considering that's.. pretty much what happened with Foxy and Bonnie, as far as we know, I think it was just one more instance of not knowing what happened. Was there an incident? (And they do hear about Moon breaking someone's leg in the daycare. Why were they in the daycare?) Did they get sent to parts and service and never came back, like Bonnie? (technically true also! They've been put in storage indefinitely)

I don't think Sun and Moon are allowed very far while they're being rehabilitated, so unless Moon sneaks about and is spotted during the blackouts, the glamrocks don't even know they're active again.

There's a lot of curiosity when the premiere/return of a theater is announced at the end of the summer, though! At first, they think it might be new animatronics which is a lil bittersweet

Once they're reinstated and established, I think they probably start to mingle again. It's probably a little nerve wracking to come back after so long, and as such different people since they really came into their own and became their own people! But it's also much more... fun? genuine, to hang out with them-- the other animatronics get to talk with them and get to know them as people instead of being talked at

I think they probably get along with the gang pretty well. At first, Roxy and Monty have their hackles up because of their issues/especially because they had disappeared for a while and now suddenly they're getting popular again, it's threatening to them) but they're nothing if not stubborn and adaptable, and they end up wining them over-- especially since those two tend to put up a front, and the BaL boys know how THAT is. I think they try to get those two (separately) more confident in themselves and in also in the image they project

Chica is just a joy to be around jkldgl they like her energy! Moon might be a gremlin and teach her to lie more convincingly about her midnight snacks

I just realized idk if there'd still be the virus??? But if there is, I think through a whacky series of circumstances, the boys were kind of 'in isolation' so they don't actually get infected. Might also be at a moment where they're more violent so it goes unnoticed pff

And well Freddy gets along with everyone pff

And DJMM!! They love DJMM and the minis and can nerd out about music for hours pff. They're showmen too, after all-- DMJJ knows about the PIZZAZZ! I think the boys are closest to DMJJ, Roxy and Monty? But separately.

To actually answer your question (oop) yes they do! Obviously, they each have their shows, and the boys prefer rehearsing over just downloading scripts so they can try intonations and timing and such, but I think they also get an actual green room/give autographs and such, so they're on the floor during daytime sometimes, and sometimes they roam at night like the others!

 I always have trouble finding Rainbow Dash ships I'm happy with, but Flutterdash is a great classic. Had some problems figuring out these guy's colors, but I'm really happy with their final look! Rainbow's mane ALWAYS gives me issues, but I wanted to incorporate multicolored manes in there somewhere without it looking terrible. Name: Dragonfly Age: Adult Pronouns: She/her Parents: Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash Cutie Mark: Affinity with dangerous creatures Bio: Don't be fooled by her height, Dragonfly is actually quite a few years older then her brother Rain Shower. She shares Flutter's connection with animals, but the bigger and more dangerous the creature the better! She works in Canterlot, helping to care for and rehabilitate the exotic animals local guards seize from wealthy ponies. While she usually acts as more of a temporary holder for the creatures before they can be sent off to other sanctuaries, she dreams of one day opening a sanctuary of her own. Dragonfly is brash, bold, and completely uncaring of the injuries she gets from various animals she's helping. She and Rain bicker a lot, but that's just their default state of communication. Sparkler seems to be the one exception to this rule as they accidentally became best friends after being constantly paired up by teachers for anything that required it. Her upbeat attitude and quick wit give them a relaxed dynamic and she's who Rain opens up to most easily. He has a huge crush on her that he's still coming to terms with and is nervous that once they graduate school they'll drift apart. He misses Dragonfly a lot since she moved to Canterlot, though he'd DIE before he told her that. Relationship with Parents: Both Dragonfly and Rain Shower get along well with their mothers, though Dash can tend to bull right over Rain's opinions sometimes without realizing it. She's disappointed that neither of her kids seem interested in professional flying, but is pleased that Dragonfly is doing very badass work. Rain feels the pressure a little more, though Dash's trying not to let it show. Fluttershy has a great relationship with both her children. She was there when Dragonfly first got her cutie mark, helping to calm down an injured brown bear, and is always willing to work quietly in the garden with Rain when he wants company but not conversation.
