I'm so fucking tired of nearly every emoji creator having some form of drama attached to them. It's gotten worse this year. So much worse. This space has become so toxic and hateful when it should be loving and uplifting. All the ones that actually are loving and uplifting either go ignored yet post away or give up after a few months and just disappear with an abandoned blog or randomly deactivate.
I want to preserve content and provide for those that need it, but there's so many creators that I just can't turn a blind eye to shit for anymore that this blog would be basically empty if I stopped platforming those bad apples. This shit is why I'm so goddamned burned out. This isn't even a community anymore. Just a popularity contest of "who can I hurt more?", "who can steal the most?", "who can recover from the most cancellations?" (looking you in the eyes Custom-emojis). I'm over the middle school/high drama of it all. Why can't y'all just create art in peace and help those that need this for accessibility? Why make it a fucking thing?
I'm so disappointed and ashamed of so many of you. I'm 25. I'm too old for this shit. A chunk of y'all are too old to be acting this foolish. Get your shit together or you just might see my retirement soon. I'm done with y'all.

At least this time I didn't even get half of them and half of what I did get was damaged...? So I only have another 70 books to deal with... This time they're soft touch......
I've got so many of book 2 it's not even funny

i have a confession to make: i'm actually doing better than i ever was

i work in a football/soccer/whatever u freaks call it arena in germany, and today’s there’s a ✨schlagerparty✨, which means 8 hours of the worst kind of german live music ever like y’all have no fucking clue how bad ballermann schlager is. anyhow, my shift’s been going on for like 10h and i’m looking at 3-5 more hours and istg if another middle aged male customer tells me to ~smile more~ i‘m gonna toss his overpriced beers right in his face like bitch unlike you i‘m not allowed to get shitfaced so i‘m not fucking enjoying it.

Celebrating the last day of the full time job before I get to go back to only 1-2 days because of school. GET ME OUTTA HERE
#I should work more otherwise I’m gonna struggle even harder to pay tuition next year#but hey the worlds gonna collapse by 2050 anyway#I shouldn’t be complaining but my job could not get more boring#you’d think it be fun. it’s a record store#well#it’s not doing well business wise and so I have literally nothing to do#if I have to try and make alphabetizing the store stretch on for 7 hours one more day I might in fact implode#if I have to pretend to be busy for 7 hours I’m going to cause the apocalypse myself#I hope one of the pet stores get back to be about my applications#at least my boss and coworkers are nice#pet store hire me I know how to take care of turtles#back on the nothing to do thing I am not exaggerating this has been my life for like two months at this point#I have never felt more useless#but I have anxiety so finding another job will be hard#people don’t like hiring obviously anxious people as their customer service workers#besides I’ve already applied to like five different places and have heard nothing#grrrrrrrrrrrrr

I am so beyond ready to quit this job. Wednesday cannot come fast enough.
#to be fair it's bc school starts again in a few weeks#but idk. every day at this office feels like sandpaper on my skin. people always ask me shit i dont understand#and every case is so individual there's no set checklist to follow to troubleshoot#so most of the time I just grind my gears and get stuck#it'd busy more days than not.#and it was advertised to me as data entry only. client interactions was not what i signed up for.#it's all client interaction.#we're short staffed so nobody gets to take the back office and have a break.#when we weren't short staffed i was the new guy and only got 1 day in the back a week while everyone else got 2.#all my coworkers are conservative but talk like they're apolitical.#i thought it'd be fulfilling bc im helping people get benefits#but many are rude or impatient as any other service job. I'm constantly trying to direct people that don't want to listen#or explain the intricacies of something i barely understand.#and i don't want to lead people astray bc you have to start over if you blow a deadline.#but there's just nothing redeeming that i enjoy.#i hate customer service. i hate constantly asking questions. i like seldom few of my coworkers.#i can't be me at work.#and i don't care about the work itself anymore.#this job made me cry every day for weeks last month from sheer stress and overstimulation.#i almost cried myself sick several times.#the only reason I'm not there anymore is bc i dont fucking care anymore.#it took me 2 months to burn out. 2 months!#i was training for half of that!!#idk. everyone decided i was smart and could pick it up quickly so. even though everyone else got 4-6 weeks of shadowing#you can make do with 3 before you start doing stuff solo.#which feels unfair. i wasn't ready for it. and i resent the decision quite a bit.#plus it's been a nightmare for me in terms of external stressors and my generally deteriorating mental health. so.#all in all. i hate it here.#and i can't wait to turn in my notice so i can gtfo in 2 weeks#i am so tired. free me. let me go back to my music please

Gil is seen as insanely, inhumanly powerful and antisocial. This is mostly true. Gil is far more powerful than he should be by normal human means, and he's not particularly interested in getting along with people.
However, he's not entirely against human contact nor ignorant to social matters. Gil will punt idiots straight out of the building as neededーand adventurers are exactly the kind of rowdy group who will be annoying and only listen to violence so can we even blame himーbut he otherwise has no problem holding a conversation. It's OTHER PEOPLE who have a hard time talking to him because of their own assumptions and his scary reputation.
The key is that he genuinely doesn't care enough about being social to rectify or even be bothered by this! As long as there are a few people who can act like civilized human beings towards himーand there are some! The landlady of the inn, the bartender, even Studd as a guild employeeーhe's good. Gil does not get lonely easily.
AND THIS REMAINS TRUE AFTER MEETING LIZEL. He's not particularly seeking out new connections, but Lizel is a sort of social connection he's never had before, and that. It's nice. He doesn't need more, but now that he's had this, going back would be difficult.
