So this week I made a trip to Walmart, because they had a number of things on discount on their website, and there were a couple that would be good for my doll customs. One was Heath burns for less than $8, and the other was this design playset for Skyler that was less than half off. The little table is a lot like the drafting table I work on when customizing my dolls and doing other art, so I thought it would be fun to have as part of my set-up for when I eventually get to doing doll videos.

I really love the little accessories! The iron and the pin cushion are so so cute. And the cutting mat? Oh my gosh YES. The scissors are probably my favorite. It's so cool that they move, these are gonna be great to share with my boy Manny. That being said, the treasure isn't solely in the product itself: this box is pretty close to being a good size for a backdrop! It got a little roughed up when I was getting the plastic off, but if I can cover it with something, maybe install a puck light overhead? This could be perfect for a background for my dolls working on things. Like, I could make it look like Manny's tailory, or a little theater stage, since a stage is a big part of my username on other platforms. XD If you guys have any ideas for what I should do for a background, let me know, I'd love to hear it!

hey guys i found this weird discontinued doll line from 2014, seems like the gimmick is each doll comes with a pet, except the pet is just an entire dude? so theyre mostly sold in two-packs, technically. i cant find much information on these except a weird tie-in comic on neocities, but i cant tell if its official or fan-made. can anyone let me know if they find more pictures of these? thx

My pal Seth Longmore has an Etsy store full of nifty playsets and figures he makes and/or customizes. The "Space Bar" is basically the Kenner Retro Cantina of your dreams - this new one has internals lights and a bandstand, plus other improvements.

Some of these things are one-offs, some he may make again, and he's the real deal. Check his stuff out if you're complaining you don't have enough 3 3/4-inch playsets for your figures, they're great.

I’ve been wanting to find a house/diorama that would work with my petite Miss Mary Magpie dolls (6 1/2 inch dolls in the style of the original small Bild Lilli dolls, the ones I have were specifically designed as an homage to the original Bild Lilli and #1 Barbie) and I recently found this mini reproduction that I think was used for display of miniature Barbie ornaments or collectibles - I’m not sure though as I haven’t been able to find much info on it. It’s a simplified reproduction of the 1964 Barbie Dreamhouse and I think it works fairly well with the little Miss Mary dolls (my small Bild Lilli is a bit taller so doesn’t work as well). I used the furniture that came with my small Bild Lilli for these pics but I do want to try creating copies of the original furniture in cardboard at some point.
