Are we doing WIP Wednesday this week? Do I get to kick it off? 😁😁😁I’m working on so many things! And I even posted one thing this week, so I’m actually working on fewer things than I was a week ago. Here’s a little snippet from A Dangerous Affinity. I’ve been doing that horrific thing where I write 500-800 words that get to the point of what I want to say in a very boring way, and then re-write it completely the following day, so it’s slow going.

Baz looks tired. He’s a little slouched, and I don’t even try to stop myself from walking right into his space when I’m finished tying my shoes. I wrap my arms around him and slide my hand onto the back of his head and press my face into his neck as he settles against me. Being this close to him makes me itch to kiss him, and my excuses not to have stopped making sense even to me.

Also, this is related to a WIP but before I tell you how, please go on a journey with me: I googled this yesterday and just stared at this for ages wondering what the FUCK google was on about. Periodically I search for something on with very specific words because I know that alternate words won’t get me what I’m looking for, and just...just:

That is a search query related to an art I’m working on for @erotic-grope-fest​. @cutestkilla​ challenged me to make a lego art for EGF and my friend: challenge accepted. I contemplated sexy minifigs, but the idea didn’t move me, so instead I’m going to be doing something much more involved. This is a part of it that I’ve modeled so far. It’s not done yet but I’m so pleased with how it’s coming along. (There’s going to be an arm! This isn’t art of Thing!)

me in my head: “ugh, this is giving the whole thing away, everyone will immediately understand what this is going to be art of.” Also me in my head: “lol, yeah for sure the reason people like looking at art is because they have never even once before considered the image that the art is portraying.” 🤦

WIP Under Cut

Of the five Elemental Masters I plan to recruit, I am well aware of how challenging it will be to recruit the final two. The children of one of my closest friends, the bearers of the Elemental Power of Water and Fire. The twins; Nya and Kai Jiang.

It has been some time since I’ve traveled down this road. My feet have grown weary and my body aches. I believe I’m still shivering after my visit to Birchwood. I am laughing thinking about it, even as I  sink deeper into the hay to keep myself warm.  A kind farmer and his family allowed me to stay in their barn for a few days. They gave me food, water and a generous amount of blankets. I am currently seated in the back of their cart as they take me to my destination. It’s moments like these that give me hope for the future. If these kind people are willing to lend a helping hand to an old, shivering old man, I still believe that light might find its way through the darkness.

Ah. I’ve been rambling again. My apologies.

The twins reside in the countryside of Ignacia, just outside of the city. If I can remember correctly, they run a smithy alongside their parents, whom I haven’t heard from in quite some time. I remember visiting the twins in their youth. Such energetic young souls. I pray that they’ve calmed down over the years.

If my memory serves correctly (and usually never does), the twins possess a myriad of… issues with their Elemental Powers. I was not informed about these issues, but from the old letters I’ve received from their parents, their elemental outbursts were much more destructive than either of them expected. Kai would apparently burst into flames under any stress or negative emotions and Nya was much more monstrous than they would have predicted. I hope I will be able to help them mend these flaws, rectify them and mold them into something greater. It’ll be no easy task, I’m sure. But, I never expected this task to be anything less than challenging.

The cart has stopped. It appears I have reached my destination.

I’m kind of done with being sick rn.

Like…3 or 4 days? I didn’t even wanna be sick one day, but I put a mask on and went to my GED with a stuffed up nose because I couldn’t reschedule. I was so brave, that should at least reduce my sick days.

And I passed!

Please Mr. Universe, I just want energy to work on my cosplay! PLEASE! I’m already on a deadline, I’ve had such a stressful week let me be rewarded!! Let me go as MK to a costume block party please!
