HEAR ME OUT I have a theory that Randal is actually Luther's stepbrother.

First, the age swap suggests that the brothers are of the same species, Randal has his second set of eyes when he's grown, now I know it's just an AU and unreliable BUT you can see kid Luther already has a second set of eyes.

number two, if Luther's first set of eyes is fake (also a theory) then they were fake when he was a kid too, while Randal has normal human eyes, and can fit other human eyes in his eye sockets too, then how come they be so different? why does kid Randal not have the second set of eyes.

they even have different powers I don't see shared magic between the two SO my theory is Randal has a human mother, while Luther is fully a cryptid thus Randal is a "very human-like cryptid" in his intro while Luther is humanoid (unreliable narrating in the intros since they're of the same species, or that the title isn't describing them accurately and it's just how they see themselves)

so what makes a humanoid a "humanoid"? are they born that way do they shape shift to a human and make themselves a "humanoid"? and you can see that Randal can shape shift in one panel where he took the shape of the piano in the form of "haunting" somewhat (So Luther is possibly taking the shape of a human and that human is. well. still inside of him)

and that explains why Luther is pressuring Randal to indulge in the human lifestyle, making him go to a human school and make friends there, he wants him to be in touch with his human side
