New Post has been published on https://www.vividracing.com/blog/what-does-it-cost-to-build-a-techart-porsche-992-turbo/
What Does it Cost to Build a TechArt Porsche 992 Turbo?
When it comes to Porsche cars, TechArt is a synonymous name for aftermarket upgrades to the brand for over 20 years. I can remember doing my first Gumball 3000 rally in 2003 where there was a yellow Porsche 996 Turbo with the TechArt front bumper and side duct fins and that’s all I wanted to achieve in life. Having faked it on my 2001 996 Turbo, I finally became part of the TechArt family with a set of side skirts on my 2007 Porsche 997 Turbo. But that is nothing compared to this Porsche 992 Turbo S build we are going to show you.
TechArt has kept true to their roots of Porsche upgrades as you can build full cars from their entire program. Although it seems their main focus is on aerodynamic and aesthetic upgrades, TechArt takes large strides in performance mods, suspension, and wheel upgrades. As a premier name brand in the game, it sure isn’t cheap. And it shouldn’t because you are paying to play. Having the privilege to work with all these different products for different cars over the years, their price is worth the hype. Many brands try to create a culture and dream like TechArt owns, but at the end of the day are just marketing gimmicks. So what does it cost to build the Ultimate Porsche 992 Turbo with a TechArt GT Street R kit? Grab a pencil, calculator, and a shot of whiskey as we are going to go through the costs!
This customer car came to us to achieve the TechArt dream for his 2022 Porsche 992 Turbo S Cabriolet. Beyond all the products is the need for paint and installation. The GT Street R kit in Forged Carbon Fiber comes in at just over $60,000. With these cars selling in the $275-$290K range, thats 20% of the purchase price already. The full kit includes a new front bumper, fenders, side skirts, rear bumper, hood, and rear wing all trimmed out in Forged Carbon Fiber. Everything down to the vents in the front fenders have been upgraded. The front bumper is comprised of several different pieces to continue the forged carbon fiber accents. The new hood is full carbon fiber and features GT3 style vents. New side ducts are added to to give the car a more aggressive profile. If you know anything about Porsche Turbo cars, its the exhaust outlets. TechArt brought a little bit of the highly desired GT3RS with semi center exit exhaust system. So to use the GT Street R kit, you also need their full exhaust. This exhaust system is valved to work like the stock PSE while bolting up to the stock cats. Coming in at around $5000, this isnt an option but a necessity. Since the Porsche 992 Turbo is produced for the common man driving all around the world, to get an incredible stance out of the car, we added a set of the adjustable springs that work with the stock PASM dampers. This allows you to set the perfect ride height to really get the full aggressive look from the wheels and aero kit. This suspension kit cost rough $1500 which is on bar for pricing with other adjustable spring kits.
In addition to the TechArt GT Street R parts, this car was also enhanced with a new ECU tune from M-Engineering. The specialists in Porsche Tuning, they are able to squeeze out near 800 horsepower out of these cars. To keep the car running efficient, a pair of CSF intercoolers were bolted on behind the forged carbon fiber vents. With the upgraded exhaust, tune, and cooling parts, this Turbo S now screams 0-60 in the high 2’s.
All said and done, the build project was roughly $75,000 parts to get it to this TechArt GT Street R level. There is roughly $10,000 in body shop work and intallation labor that goes a long with it. If you think this is crazy, TechArt unveiled its GT Street R program and 87 packages were sold out in just 20 months around the world. Thats some serious dollars!
Enjoy these photos of the Porsche 992 Turbo S we did here at Vivid Racing and if you are interested in TechArt products, shop everything at our TechArt Store Here.

Invadr: Ringbrothers 1,246-Horsepower Buick Grand National
The Ringbrothers’ Groundbreaking Build
The renowned car builders at Ringbrothers are bringing an 80s classic to the SEMA show. The ‘Invadr,’ is a 1987 Buick Regal Grand National that redefines the power and legacy of this classic muscle car. Equipped with a monstrous 1,246-horsepower 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6, custom chassis, and artfully upgraded aesthetics, the Invadr retains its iconic appeal while delivering a modern performance edge.
Under the Hood: A Beastly 1,246 HP V6
The Invadr’s heart is a heavily modified V6 from Duttweiler Performance, a California-based shop crafting high-horsepower engines. This engine delivers an astonishing 1,246 horsepower and 1,000 pound-feet of torque at 32 psi of boost. With a 50 psi setup, the Invadr could theoretically hit a staggering 2,000 horsepower, making it potentially the fastest Ringbrothers creation to date. The original Buick GN had 200 horsepower and 300 lb-ft. of torque.
### Key Performance Specs
Engine: 3.8L Twin-Turbo V6 from Duttweiler Performance Power Output: 1,246 HP, 1,000 lb-ft torque Transmission: Tremec T56 Six-Speed Manual Boost Capacity: 32 psi (up to 50 psi potential) Rear Differential: Ford 9-inch Chassis and Suspension: Crafted for Precision Built on a custom Roadster Shop chassis, the Invadr sports adjustable Penske shocks for an optimized ride. Custom HRE wheels hold Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, giving the Invadr excellent grip, while C6 Corvette ZR1 carbon-ceramic brakes provide the most stopping power.
Design and Bodywork: Refined Aggression
While the Invadr’s powertrain takes the spotlight, its design modifications add a modern flair to the Grand National’s 80s, all-black styling. New stainless-steel front and rear bumpers, custom side skirts, and fender adjustments lend an updated aesthetic while maintaining the car’s classic looks. Carbon-fiber accents such as a hood vent and rear spoiler add just enough, complemented by a ‘Dark Vader Gray’ paint job.
Exterior Features
Bumpers: Custom Stainless Steel Body Modifications: Front Fender and Side Skirt Adjustments Carbon Fiber Accents: Hood Vent, Rear Spoiler Paint: Dark Vader Gray Interior: Race-Ready Elegance The Invadr’s interior reflects the same as the exterior – just enough changes to modernise, but still feel original. Equipped with a full roll cage and carbon fiber accents, the interior is custom-finished for style and functionality. Every detail from the dashboard to the trim is thoughtfully designed, with the addition of a parachute button hinting at its race-inspired nature.
Legacy Meets Innovation: A Tribute to the Original Grand National
The Buick Grand National of the 1980s became an icon in American muscle car history, showcasing how a turbocharged V6 could stand toe-to-toe with traditional V8s. The Invadr pays homage to this legacy, amplifying the original’s strengths while integrating state-of-the-art performance features and engineering innovations.

Amazing Car Wash and Mobile Auto Detailing: Convenience and Quality for Your Vehicle
Mobile Auto Detailing: A Convenient and Effective Solution
When it comes to maintaining the pristine appearance of your vehicle, mobile auto detailing offers a convenient and effective solution. This service brings professional car care directly to your doorstep, eliminating the need for traditional car washes. Whether you're at home, work, or another location, mobile detailers are equipped to provide top-notch cleaning and restoration services.
What is Mobile Auto Detailing?
Mobile auto detailing is a professional service that involves cleaning, polishing, and restoring your vehicle's interior and exterior. Unlike traditional car washes, mobile detailers come to you with all the necessary tools and equipment. This service is particularly beneficial for busy individuals who want a high-quality clean without the inconvenience of visiting a car wash.
Difference Between a Regular Car Wash and Mobile Auto Detailing
While a regular car wash typically involves washing the exterior and occasionally vacuuming the interior, mobile auto detailing in Montgomery County, PA goes far beyond that. Detailing is a comprehensive cleaning service that involves:
Exterior Detailing: This includes washing, polishing, and protecting the vehicle’s exterior with products like wax or ceramic coatings. Mobile detailers remove contaminants, restore the paint, and enhance the car's shine.
Interior Detailing: Vacuuming, shampooing, and conditioning the car’s interior materials are essential parts of detailing. Leather seats, carpets, dashboards, and even air vents are cleaned and treated with care.
Paint Correction and Protection: Mobile detailers may offer services like paint correction, which removes imperfections, scratches, and swirl marks, and apply coatings that protect your paint from UV rays, road salt, and other environmental hazards.
Engine Bay Cleaning: Some mobile detailers even offer engine bay cleaning, ensuring that your car runs smoothly and looks great under the hood.
Why Choose Amazing Car Wash and Mobile Auto Detailing?
Choosing a mobile auto detailing service can seem like an extra expense compared to a regular car wash, but the benefits are numerous. Below are several reasons why amazing car wash and mobile auto detailing services are a smart investment:
1. Convenience
One of the main reasons people opt for mobile auto detailing is the convenience. Instead of taking time out of your day to visit a car wash, the service comes to you. Whether you're at home, at work, or even out shopping, a mobile detailer can clean and detail your vehicle while you go about your day. This flexibility makes mobile detailing ideal for people with busy schedules who still want their cars to look great.
2. High-Quality Results
Amazing car wash and mobile auto detailing services provide more than just a basic wash. Professional mobile detailers use high-quality products and advanced techniques to give your car a showroom-like finish. The attention to detail provided by mobile detailing services ensures that every inch of your car is cleaned, polished, and protected.
3. Personalized Service
Mobile auto detailing allows for a more personalized experience compared to a traditional car wash. Detailers take the time to understand your vehicle’s specific needs, whether you need extra attention on the interior or want special coatings applied to the exterior. This customized service ensures your car gets exactly the care it needs.
4. Protects Your Investment
For most people, a car is a significant investment, and maintaining its appearance can help preserve its value. Regular detailing not only keeps your car looking new but also protects its surfaces from wear and tear. By choosing an amazing car wash and mobile auto detailing service, you’re investing in the long-term health of your vehicle, which can pay off if you ever decide to sell or trade it in.
5. Eco-Friendly Options
Many mobile auto detailing services offer environmentally friendly options. Mobile detailers typically use less water than traditional car washes, and many use eco-friendly, biodegradable cleaning products. This means you can keep your car looking great without negatively impacting the environment.
Key Services Offered by Amazing Car Wash and Mobile Auto Detailing
When you book an amazing car wash and mobile auto detailing service, you'll have access to a wide range of services that cater to both the interior and exterior of your vehicle. Here’s a closer look at some of the most popular services: visit here -   car detailing in King of Prussia, PA :
Exterior Detailing
Hand Washing and Drying: Mobile detailers typically offer hand washing services, ensuring a thorough and gentle clean. Unlike automated car washes, which can cause scratches, hand washing ensures that every part of the vehicle is cleaned with care.
Clay Bar Treatment: This service removes contaminants that are embedded in the paint, such as tree sap, road tar, and industrial fallout. A clay bar treatment leaves the surface of the paint smooth and clean, preparing it for polishing and protection.
Polishing and Waxing: After washing, the vehicle’s paint may be polished to remove light scratches and swirl marks. A coat of wax or sealant is then applied to protect the paint and give it a glossy finish.
Tire and Wheel Cleaning: Tires and wheels are often overlooked in regular car washes, but mobile detailers take the time to clean them thoroughly. Tire dressing is usually applied to give the tires a shiny, like-new appearance.
Interior Detailing
Vacuuming and Shampooing: Mobile detailers will vacuum the entire interior, including the seats, carpets, and trunk. They may also shampoo the upholstery and carpets to remove stains and odors.
Leather Conditioning: For vehicles with leather seats, mobile detailers offer conditioning treatments that restore the leather’s softness and prevent cracking over time.
Dashboard and Console Cleaning: Detailers clean and protect all hard surfaces in the car, including the dashboard, center console, and door panels. Many use UV protectants to prevent fading and cracking from sun exposure.
Odor Removal: Mobile detailers can tackle stubborn odors that can accumulate over time, leaving your car smelling fresh and clean.
Additional Services
Some amazing car wash and mobile auto detailing services offer specialized treatments, including:
Ceramic Coating: This advanced protective coating lasts longer than wax and provides a durable shield against the elements. Ceramic coatings can protect your car’s paint for several years, keeping it looking new.
Paint Correction: If your vehicle has swirl marks, light scratches, or oxidation, paint correction can restore its original luster.
Headlight Restoration: Cloudy or yellowed headlights can reduce visibility at night. Mobile detailers can restore headlights to their original clarity, improving both appearance and safety.
How to Choose the Right Amazing Car Wash and Mobile Auto Detailing Service
With so many options available, finding the best mobile auto detailing service can be overwhelming. Here are some tips to help you choose the right service:
1. Read Reviews and Testimonials
Customer reviews are a great way to learn about the quality of service provided by a mobile detailer. Look for detailers with consistently high ratings and positive feedback from previous customers. Testimonials often mention the professionalism, punctuality, and thoroughness of the service, which can help you make an informed decision.
2. Compare Service Packages
Many amazing car wash and mobile auto detailing companies offer a range of service packages. Some may focus on basic cleaning, while others provide comprehensive detailing that includes paint correction and ceramic coating. Compare packages to find one that meets your needs and budget.
3. Check for Certifications and Insurance
It’s important to choose a mobile detailer who is certified and insured. Certifications indicate that the detailer has undergone professional training and knows how to handle different materials and products safely. Insurance protects you in the unlikely event that something goes wrong during the detailing process.
4. Ask About Products Used
Not all cleaning products are created equal. Ask the mobile detailer what products they use and whether they offer eco-friendly options. High-quality products ensure that your car receives the best possible care.
5. Consider Convenience and Location
The whole point of mobile auto detailing is convenience, so be sure to choose a service that can come to your preferred location, whether it's your home, office, or another location. Many mobile detailers offer flexible scheduling, making it easy to find a time that works for you.
Conclusion
Amazing car wash and mobile auto detailing services offer a convenient and effective way to keep your vehicle in top condition. With professional-grade tools, eco-friendly products, and attention to detail, mobile auto detailers can provide your car with the care it needs without you ever having to leave your home or office. By choosing the right mobile auto detailing service, you’ll enjoy the benefits of a clean, protected vehicle that looks and feels like new.
Whether you’re looking for a simple wash or a full-service detailing package, amazing car wash and mobile auto detailing services can offer the perfect solution for busy car owners who want convenience without sacrificing quality.

How much does it cost to customize a Jeep Wrangler?
Introduction to Jeep Wrangler Customization
The allure of a Jeep Wrangler lies not just in its off-road capabilities but also in its potential for customization. Jeep enthusiasts often find joy in tailoring their vehicles to suit their unique preferences. However, delving into the customization world prompts the inevitable question: How much does it cost to customize a Jeep Wrangler?
Tumblr media
Factors Influencing Customization Costs
Vector Off-Road Store Products
One popular destination for Jeep customization enthusiasts is the Vector Off-Road Store. Renowned for its quality products, the store offers a plethora of customization options, from practical additions to stylish upgrades. Exploring these options can significantly influence the overall cost of customizing your Jeep.
Popular Customization Options
Before diving into the cost specifics, it's crucial to understand the plethora of customization choices available. Whether it's enhancing functionality or elevating aesthetics, options range from bed racks to rooftop tents, making each Jeep unique to its owner's vision.
Pricing Breakdown
Jeep Phone Holder
In the realm of practicality, a Jeep phone holder is a must-have accessory. Not only does it provide a convenient spot for your phone, but it also ensures accessibility while driving. Prices can vary based on the brand and features, with options ranging from basic holders to advanced charging setups. A solid Jeep phone holder can be acquired for around $50 to $100.
Jeep Hood Upgrades
The Jeep hood is not just a protective covering; it's also a canvas for expression. Hood upgrades, including decals, vent modifications, and custom paint jobs, contribute to the Jeep's overall aesthetics. Depending on the complexity and materials used, these upgrades can range from $200 to $500.

For the budget-conscious Jeep owner, embracing do-it-yourself (DIY) projects can be a game-changer. Simple modifications like DIY decals, interior enhancements, or even bed rack constructions can significantly reduce customization costs while adding a personal touch.
Budget-Friendly Alternatives
Not every customization needs to break the bank. Exploring budget-friendly alternatives, such as opting for generic brands or considering second-hand options, can help you achieve the desired look without a hefty price tag. It is imperative to strike a balance between cost and excellence.
Conclusion
Customizing your Jeep Wrangler is an exciting journey that allows you to express your personality and enhance the vehicle's functionality. While costs can vary based on preferences and choices, the satisfaction of driving a personalized Jeep is undoubtedly worth the investment. Hot take the Deora III sucks ass.
If you aren't interested in Hot Wheels cars, car design, or cars in general, you don't have to read further. If you do, I have included links that will hopefully make understanding this easier.
The original Deora was very much of its time, the 1960s. It has that very muscle car feel, a bit like a cab over version of the Chevrolet El Camino. When I first encountered the toy, I could pretty much instantly recognize the time period from which it came. And of course, this first version defined the platonic concept of a Deora. The Deora is a truck/ute thing in which the cab sits at the very front of the vehicle without a hood or engine bay in front of it. There are no side doors, but instead, the front opens up to allow passenger and driver to enter and exit the cab.
And then we get the Deora III which like, excuse me but what the fuck is this‽ This isn't a Deora. Like yeah the driver sits in front of the front wheels and there's a bed in the back, but why is there no roof, or even a windscreen? Why is there a bicycle in the back? Why is the front end lower than my knees? Why does it look like someone cut a massive chunk out of it? What the fuck is going on here‽
The Deora II takes this concept and rebuilds it with the design language of the late 90s and early 00s. Instead of a boxy 60s muscle car design that the original Deora had, the Deora II had a much softer bubblier style that was incredibly common in the design language of the time. While it keeps the cab over front end and long bed, it presents those with swooping curves and round headlights and round vents. Instead of the muscle car style wheels and fat tires that the original had, the Deora II boasted massive rims and tires that looked like rubber bands, as was aesthetically desirable at the time.
So it fails on two levels. Firstly, it fails to analyze or understand contemporary 2020s car design language. Secondly, it fails to even be a Deora with that two box design.
So first, understanding 2020s car design language. Today's automotive design language is very angular and aggressive. Trucks are boxy and chunky. Cars all have angry headlights and frowning grills. The Deora III hardly had headlights at all, and pretty much no grill. Its open design is reminiscent of the Renault Laguna concept car, which is from the 90s.
Additionally it fails to even look like a Deora. While it does have a long bed, the way that the body panels are cut, instead of having a two box design, the primary shape that stands out is a weird V or a check mark coming down from the rear tailgate, bottoming out in the middle of the bed, and then rising to form the roll bar. It's cut so low that you end up with this wall thing inset from the actual side of the car. And I use the word cut deliberately. With this deep V and the lack of any windscreen or side windows, it looks like they took a Deora and frantically cut it to ribbons with a pair of scissors.
It reminds me of Mr Regular's thoughts on both the third generation Toyota MR2 and Back to the Future III. "AW11 is Back to the Future Part 1, classic 80s, love it, smile every time I see it. SW20: Back to the Future 2: everything you liked about Part 1 but more! ZZW30... Part 3 Why is this a convertible? Why are we in the old west? Where's the flying DeLorean? Where are the popup headlights?"
I'm not asking for a re-release of the Deora II that I loved in my childhood. I want a Deora III that looks like a Deora made for modern times. I probably won't like it as much, but that's because I'm a child of the 90s and 00s. I grew up playing Need for Speed Underground and watching 2 Fast 2 Furious. But those times are gone. Even the new Fast and Furious movies have abandoned the gaudy design of the 00s with custom body kits and custom paint jobs for at most flat black paint and fender flares. Heck, most modified cars in modern car culture look stock. People aren't going for all show and no go anymore, and there are reasons for that, both economic and social, and we can go into those at a later time.
I just want a Deora III that speaks accurately to the times we live in and the design language of contemporary car design while also holding true to the original concept and shape of the Deora.

Product designer and decorator Marjorie relocated from Los Angeles to Mérida, Mexico, to restore a dilapidated 19th-century mansion. “This was once the grandest street in the city,” explains Marjorie.   “The façades are particularly beautiful, and I fell madly in love with this pistachio green one.”
Tumblr media
In the entry foyer, she commissioned a local artisan to paint a grisaille-style flora pattern on the walls.

Most of the original flooring has been restored, including the tiles in the sala grande. Marjorie designed the light fixture, the side table, and the iron cocktail table base, which is topped with antique leather and glass.

The biblioteca’s original wall stencils and beamed ceiling were restored, and Marjorie filled the room with one of her coral light fixtures, a custom cocktail table she designed with a granite top, and chairs that once belonged to her parents.

Although the kitchen was relocated to another area of the home, the copper vent hood is original to the house. Marjorie designed new cabinetry and installed  marble countertops as well as a granite-topped island.

Off the kitchen is a patio with a botanical scene. Marjorie designed the iron-and-marble table, the mirror, the console, and chairs.

amazing car wash and mobile auto detailing
Amazing Car Wash and Mobile Auto Detailing: Convenience and Quality for Your Vehicle
If you're searching for top-notch services to keep your car looking pristine, you've likely come across the terms "amazing car wash and mobile auto detailing." These services have become increasingly popular among car owners who want their vehicles to shine but don't always have the time to visit a traditional car wash. Mobile auto detailing brings the convenience of expert car care directly to your driveway, office, or any other location of your choice. In this article, we’ll dive into the world of amazing car wash and mobile auto detailing, explain their benefits, and help you understand why they might be the perfect choice for your vehicle.
What is Mobile Auto Detailing?
Mobile auto detailing is a professional car cleaning and restoration service that comes to you. Unlike traditional car washes, where you drive to a physical location, mobile detailers travel with all the necessary tools and equipment to detail your vehicle wherever you are. This service is ideal for busy individuals who want the best care for their car without the hassle of waiting at a car wash or scheduling time to drop it off.
Here’s a closer look at some of the most popular services: visit here - Top Priority Mobile Detailing :

McLaren Reveals 720S Le Mans Special Edition
McLaren Automotive is celebrating one of McLaren’s greatest motorsport achievements – victory on its first attempt in the 24 Hours of Le Mans – with a special edition 720S coupé. Just 16 of this Le Mans edition will be available in Europe, from a total of 50 worldwide.
The 720S Le Mans has been created to mark 25 years since McLaren F1 GTR #59 won the world-famous endurance race. Driven by JJ Lehto, Yannick Dalmas and Masanori Sekiya, the car took the checkered flag on June 18, 1995. Three other McLaren F1 GTRs finished in the top five, with victory at Le Mans also ensuring McLaren a place in motorsport history as winners of the French 24-hour classic, the Formula 1 World Championship and the Indianapolis 500.
Taking the 720S supercar to a new level of exclusivity, each of the Le Mans edition cars carries a dedication plate featuring a ‘McLaren 25 Anniversary Le Mans’ logo. The VIN of each car will begin with 298, in recognition of the number of laps completed by the race-winning F1 GTR – one more than its closest rival.
Customers have a choice of exterior and interior color combinations, with all cars featuring a portfolio of unique features as standard:
Exterior
Choice of two exterior paint themes - McLaren Orange or Sarthe Grey
‘Ueno Grey’-painted body side lower, rear bumper and front bumper lower
‘McLaren 25 anniversary Le Mans’ logo on lower body side panel
Gloss black roof scoop with polycarbonate rear glazing
Carbon fiber louvered front fenders
Unique 5-spoke LM wheels that echoes the design of the #59 F1 GTR wheels and also feature ‘Le Mans’ etching
Gold-colored brake calipers
Gloss black contrast body components
Interior
Choice of two bespoke black Alcantara themes with accents in McLaren Orange or Dove Grey
Carbon fibre racing seats
Embroidered headrests with ‘McLaren 25 anniversary Le Mans’ logo
12 o'clock steering wheel marker, linked to interior accent color
Dedication plate with ‘McLaren 25 anniversary Le Mans’ logo
Floor mats with ‘McLaren 25 anniversary Le Mans’ logo
The fully-functional roof scoop channels air to provide additional cooling for the powertrain and helps to drive heat evacuation – ideal for the additional demands of circuit driving. The carbon fiber louvered front fenders reduce aerodynamic lift generated by the rotation of the front wheels, as well as reducing vehicle weight.
720S Le Mans owners will be able to experience the astonishing performance delivered by the mid-mounted, 720PS M840T 4.0-litre McLaren engine. The twin-turbocharged V8 propels the car from 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 2.9 seconds, 0-200 km/h (0-124 mph) in 7.8 seconds and on to a top speed of 341 km/h (212 mph). A carbon fiber Monocage II central structure and Proactive Chassis Control II suspension system help to ensure that the 720S is the lightest car in its class, with an unparalleled breadth of dynamic ability.
In common with every McLaren 720S, an extensive range of optional specification is offered, with MSO Defined and MSO Bespoke treatments also available to owners’ requirements. An array of gloss finish visual carbon fiber components, including diffuser, exterior door uppers, rear aero bridge, roof scoop and rear deck and service cover can be specified, with three component ‘packs’ additionally available, comprising gloss finish visual carbon fiber hood air intakes, door mirrors, rear fender air intakes; front splitter and rear bumper lower and roof and front air intakes.
To further enhance the motorsport connection and for track use, a titanium harness bar and 6-point harnesses from the MSO Defined range can be added. Satin finish visual carbon fiber air vents, extended shift paddles and extended sill trim with McLaren branding from the same range are also available, and two option packs of satin finish visual carbon fiber interior components can be specified.
The McLaren 720S Le Mans is available to purchase now, from £254,500, with first deliveries in September. Prospective owners should contact their nearest McLaren retailer for more information or to place an order.

Heart to a Gunfight | Nine
The car you were working on was a real pain in the ass. You couldn’t stand to look at it’s rusted navy paint job any longer, not after the hell of a day you’d had. The part you had ordered for one of your regular customers had come in hours later than expected and the owner of that 80s Mercedes hadn’t been accepting of any of your explanations. It didn’t matter that you had always provided stellar service or that pieces for his car were hard to come by, he had chewed you out for making him late for his meeting. And now what should have been a simple procedure on a run of the mill Civic was taking you twice as long as it should have. Your boss was going to kill you if you didn’t get through the day’s appointments but judging by the way the shitty day had started, you weren’t going to last the hour.
Your fingers slipped for the millionth time and you swore, wondering why the damn cap wouldn’t unscrew. If you could just get this damn Civic out of your sight, you could move onto the quick and easy tire change you had next. At least that shouldn’t give you any problems.
Wiping the sweat from your brow, you wished you hadn’t forgotten your water bottle on the kitchen counter this morning. How the hell you were going to get through the rest of the summer if it was already this hot in May was beyond you.
“Excuse me. I’m looking for the best mechanic in Brooklyn,” A deep voice drawled, “I heard her skills were worth the sass I’d have to put up with. You wouldn’t happen to know where I could find her, would you?”
You poked your head out from under the hood and found yourself smiling unwittingly. Bucky was dressed in olive from head to toe except for the shinned black combat boots, a loose tee tucked into a pair of cargo pants. If you had to guess, you’d say he had come in from work.
It had been two weeks since the engagement party and two weeks since you had last seen Bucky. Mercifully, Peggy and Steve had been so busy that they hadn’t tried to convince you to spend some time with them and Bucky. He had crossed your mind far more often over the past fourteen days than you would ever admit to him, even if half the time the thoughts were accompanied by anxiety. And the other half…well to your frustration, he was even more handsome than you remembered. You had no idea what you were supposed to say to him or how you were supposed to act. The two of you obviously weren’t a couple, but you had agreed that you’d need to know each other at least a little better if you wanted to get through the wedding in one piece. So, what did you do now? How were you supposed to act?
A small part of you almost wished you’d never see him again even if seeing him again had been all you could think about. But it didn’t matter what you wanted. Seeing him again had been a matter of when and not if.
“How did you know where I worked?” You blurted when you realized you had been staring for too long, “I mean, what are you doing here?”
You winced. As far as conversation starters went, you were doing a truly terrible job.
If he was fazed at all, he didn’t show it as he shrugged, “Steve told me. And I’m here for an oil change.”
“That’s all?” You asked, scanning him carefully to see if there wasn’t any other reason he was hiding.
He smirked, “Well, it is a new car, and I take care while driving it. Unlike yours, it doesn’t break down every three miles.”
“Leave my car alone, Solider,” You waved your rag at him.
He twirled his keys around his finger, his smile growing, “You know I can’t do that.”
You put a hand on your hip, “Who says I even have time for you?”
He looked like he was about to answer but paused and studied for you for a moment. That piercing blue gaze didn’t lose any of its intensity when he spoke up, “Judging by that look on your face, I’d say you don’t. Rough day?”
“That obvious, huh?” You leaned against the car for support, as if his words mad you realize just how tired you really were.
He nodded, not saying anything else. You had a feeling he was seconds away from leaving and before you realized what you were doing you were saying, “Come back tomorrow afternoon and I can fit you in. It won’t take long.”
He seemed to lose some of the tension in his shoulders and the corner of his mouth lifted slightly, “Great.”
You wiped your hands on your rag, waiting for him to say something else, because you couldn’t think of anything else to say yourself. It was hard to tell if you were imagining the awkward silence or if he felt it too, but either way, you were beginning to think it was a good thing you had nothing to say. The faster this conversation died, the fast you could get back to the work that was far less confusing than whatever this thing was with Bucky.
“All right then,” He said, stuffing his hands into his pockets, “Thanks for squeezing me in. I’ll see you tomorrow.”
You felt your head bob up and down a few too many times and willed your body to stop, “Yup.”
Watching him leave, you once again felt the overwhelming urge to say something - anything - else, but you kept your mouth shut. You kept your eyes on him until he reached the door and then got back to your stupid Civic, trying your hardest to unscrew the stupid cap.
“Hey Speedy?”
You popped your head back out from under the hood, almost knocking your head as you moved a little too eagerly, “Yeah?”
He ran his hand through his hair, musing his already messy look, “Want to go grab a drink once you finish up here?”
You thought about his offer, picking at the grease under your nails. It wasn’t like you had any other plans than a nice, long bath and a good book, but you weren’t sure about spending time with Bucky and no one else.
“That is, if you don’t already have other plans,” He quickly added.
You felt yourself smile and shook your head, “No, I’m free. Drinks would be good.”
“Good,” He sighed, nodding a little, “Text me when you’re done and we can meet up later.”
He was already turning away when you said his name.
“Bucky?”
“Yeah?”
“I never got your number.”
“Oh, yeah,” He chuckled, running his hands through his hair again.
Knowing you’d only get grease all over his phone, you recited your number from afar and told him you’d text him when you were done. When his car pulled out of the parking lot, you let out a breath that seemed to release all the tension from your body. He hadn’t even gotten closer than fifteen feet and yet your body felt like it had been shocked by a thousand volt current. And you’d be seeing him tonight. Just the two of you. For the first time. Ever. What the hell was that going to be like?
You tried to shake the thoughts from your head, knowing you had more important things to worry about to today. The first of which being this damned cap. You tightened your fingers around the plastic, and somehow, as if it hadn’t been giving you hell for the past five minutes, it twisted off like butter.
Maybe you hadn’t needed to put an extra fifteen minutes into choosing your outfit, but you had most definitely needed a shower to wash all the grease stains off your hands and forehead. And seeing as you were already putting a little effort into your looks, you might as well go the full nine yards and choose something nice to wear. It wasn’t that you were dressing up for Barnes, rather you were dressing up because it was nice to actually wear something other than the navy jumpsuit you spent five out of seven days in. There was nothing special about tonight. Tonight was just two friends hanging out. Nothing more.
“I swear I’m not usually this late,” Bucky puffed, meeting you outside the bar moments before you were about to leave under the assumption that he had stood you up, “Sorry about that. I hope you weren’t waiting long.”
“Not that bad,” You shrugged, trying to refrain from wrapping your arms around yourself.
He led you toward the entrance, “Still, let me make it up to you. Drinks are on me.”
“That’s not a bad start, Soldier,” You opened the door and motioned for him to go in first, watching him blink in surprise before walking through the door, “And just so we’re clear, when you say you’re not usually this late, you’re telling me that you’re never on time, right? Seems out of character for an army man.”
He smirked, “I’m only late from time to time. I try not to make it a habit.”
“Good to know that next time I can spend an extra ten minutes getting ready,” You laughed.
“You can take it, but I know for a fact that you don’t need it.”
You paused, uncertain. You knew he meant it as a friendly compliment, but all the behaviour from the wedding muddled everything in your mind. How exactly were supposed to act now? You forced a smile hoping he wouldn’t realize just how weirded out you were by this whole meeting - date? You shouldn’t have been. There wasn’t supposed to be anything weird about this. You were overthinking this. Right? Right.
Making your way to the bar, you sat down while Bucky ordered a couple of beers. Neither of you said anything until the beers arrived. After you thanked the bartender, you couldn’t think of anything to say. It wasn’t like you really knew anything about Bucky but asking him general questions would probably make it feel like awkward small talk on a first date, which was exactly what you were trying to avoid.
Bucky fiddled with the label on his bottle, “Did work get a little better after I was gone?”
“Oh, um, yeah. It calmed down a little and I managed to get everything done,” You forced another smile, nodding away.
“Ah, good,” He took a sip, lips tight around the bottle.
You did the same, looking around the bar, trying to find something else to say. It hadn’t been this hard at the engagement party. Between first wanting to kill him and then pretending to be madly in love with him, there hadn’t been much time for anything else. Now, there was this truce between the two of you, with nothing real in between. How were you supposed to act within the relationship you had with Bucky at the engagement party and the on you were supposed to have at the wedding?
You were starting to wonder if you should make up an excuse to go home when he spoke up, “I’m not going to lie, Speedy, this is weird.”
You let out a sigh of relief, “Oh thank god. I was beginning to think it was just me.”
“Not just you,” He said, shaking his head, “This is worse than an awkward first date, not being sure what to say or do. No offence.”
“None taken. You took the words from my mouth.”
He laughed, though the sound seemed like a mix of relief and something else, “After acting like a couple last time I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t coming on too strong.”
“You?” You felt your lips tug upward, glad to know you weren’t the only one battling an inner war of awkwardness and anxiety, “Here I am thinking you assume I hate you because I can’t seem to say anything more interesting than casual small talk.”
He cocked his head, “But don’t you?”
You paused, beer inches from your lips, “Don’t I what?”
He took a sip of his, prolonging the silence, his eyes bright, “Hate me?”
“Absolutely,” You laughed, “You make fun of my car, I have no choice but to hate you out of solidarity. I owe that much to my car, you know.”
“Then you’re doing an amazing job at being loyal to your car,” His lips twisted into a roguish grin, “Or is it being yourself?”
“Hey!” You smacked him on the arm, “It’s all an act.”
He laughed, “How was I supposed to know? You looked like you were going to kill me on the way into the bar!”
“If I wanted to kill you, it would have been at the engagement party. At this point I’ve learned to tolerate your presence,” You teased, gazing up at him.
He held your stare, those piercing blue eyes holding a world of emotions you couldn’t even begin to decipher, “Good for me that you’re a fast learner.”
“Good thing,” You murmured, unable to look away.
A glass shattering broke your stare and you brought your attention back to the condensation dripping down your beer. The silence stretched on and you weren’t sure how to get back the easy conversation that had just happened. Finally, you decided to try and clear the air, hoping that it would bring everything back to normal between the two of you. Because if you were being honest with yourself, you actually enjoyed his company.
“I know I agreed to go to the wedding with you and that we agreed to get closer to make things more convincing. That’s fine, I’m not backing out on you,” You quickly added when you saw his wide eyes, “But we need to make things clear. We’re just friends, right? When the wedding comes, we’ll add in a few kisses and I’m sure Kira won’t suspect a thing.”
He didn’t say anything for a long moment, then nodded, “Yeah. I think that’s the best plan. Just friends.”
“Just friends,” You echoed.
“Think you can manage that?” He asked, the small smile returning.
You sighed dramatically, “It’ll be tough, but somehow I’ll find a way to tolerate you for the next three months.”
“And after that you won’t ever have to see my face again, Speedy.”
“Oh, the promises you make, Soldier. You keep making that promise and yet here we are,” You shook your head, pretending to be disappointed, “I’m starting to think we’re doomed to keep running into each other.”
He signalled the bartender for another round, “Is that such a bad thing?”
You waited until he turned back around and then grinned, “You know, I’m starting to think it might not be.”
