“We’re dressed in black from head to toe, we’ve got guns hidden under our petticoats”
dealer!eddie x witchy!ditsy!fem!reader
cw: drug mention, drug use mention, tooth rotting fluff
wc: 1,504
“Babe, just because they’re purple and you like the color does not mean that the Blazy’s are better,” Eddie groaned for the umpteenth time, looking at the older man behind the smoke shop counter for a lifeline.
“They’re the same price as the RAW cones! You’re the one who said we should expand the market and try and get some new customers. I’m telling you, all of my friends would start buying from you if they were getting a purple preroll. Even better if it’s a purple preroll of the special dreaming blend that I came up with,” You smiled brightly, long, dark nails tapping excitedly on the glass countertop. “It’s a great marketing tactic.”
“Sweetheart—“
“She’s got a point, Eddie. The ladies love it when their shit is all pretty,” The shop owner snorted.
“Thank you, Dennis!” You motioned toward the man, rings clacking on the counter as your hand came to rest on top. “A little sexist, but correct. Please, Eddie?”
When Eddie looked back at you, you could see his eyes melt. “Fine. Give me two shorts, two regulars, and two kings.”
“One pink, one purple?”
“Yes please!” You reached up to kiss your boyfriend right on the apple of his cheek, leaving behind a black cherry-colored lipstick mark. “I promise it’ll be worth it. I’ll pinky swear on it.”
“You get your cones and your blend, that’s it,” His arm snaked around your waist, pulling you closer as he looked down at you pointedly. “That’s it. I’m not having you take over my business, alright?”
“Mhm. That’s it. Just those,” You confirmed, nodding your head. “Can you ring up a few of those fun little incense cones in a separate order, Dennis? I’m running out and I need some for my altar.”
“Will do, sweetie. Just don’t give your man any more trouble, alright?”
“On my life, I will not give him any more trouble.”
——
You swore up and down that you would stop at the cones and the special blend of weed and other herbs.
But then you found a pack of navy blue mesh bags covered in tiny stars that could comfortably fit half an ounce at the craft store. In the clearance aisle. For $2.99.
“Baby, you have got to be kidding me,” Eddie sighed, watching you come in the door, platform boots stomping excitedly as you bounded into the living room of your shared trailer, the bags clutched in your hands. “Don’t tell me those are what I think they are.”
“They are that exactly! Aren’t they cute? Look,” You swung yourself into his lap, legs hanging over the arm of the rocker he had been lounging in. His arm instinctively wrapped around you and rested on your hip, making sure you wouldn’t fall off. “They can fit at least half an ounce and still have room. Not to mention the amount of prerolls you can fit! And they tie super nicely so you can keep everything together!”
His head buried into the crook of your neck, his dramatic groaning rumbling against your skin. “You’re going to be the death of me.”
“Is that a yes? Please tell me that’s a yes,” You immediately get excited, dropping the bags into your lap and looping your arms around his drooping shoulders. “Have I told you I love you this afternoon? If not, I love you. I love you more than the sky and the sea and the moon and the stars—“
“Yes, angel, you’ve told me you love me more than I can count today,” He laughed sweetly, lifting his head to look at your expression. You could tell he was trying so hard to stand his ground, but the smile on his lips gave him away. “I can’t let you use the bags, though. It’ll ruin my reputation.”
“What, your reputation among college kids who invite you to every function even though you graduated two years early?” You joke, nodding toward his high school and college diplomas, which were framed above your fireplace. “What a thing to ruin!”
“Are you really going to bring up me graduating every chance you get?”
“Absolutely,” You kissed him sweetly, one hand smoothing over his hair. “My smart boy.”
“Okay, now you’re just buttering me up, you sap,” He ducked away, watching you cackle with a grin on his face. “How about we compromise?”
“A compromise?”
“Yes. You can make your fancy little prerolls with your mix and put them in your pretty little bags,” Your eyes widened, surprised that he was letting you do it that easily. “But, nothing else. No edibles, no flower, and none of the raw cones I’m still working through, okay?”
“I can work with that! It’s like a little side business! A partnership!”
“Yep. A partnership,” He tapped your hip and sat up slightly. “Let’s go get some stuff ready for later, alright? I’ve got to drop off to those monthly guys up in Chicago tonight.”
“Let me text some people and see if they want anything,” You got up off his lap, handing the bags off to him as he rose. “Can you put these at my seat while I go grab us some drinks?”
Eddie sighed heavily, rolling his eyes playfully. “Yes, sweetheart.”
“I love you, just a reminder!” You called as you left the room, a shit-eating grin on your face.
——
You ended up finding a few friends from college who lived in the city and wanted to try the new “dream bundles” as you called them. Each bundle was packaged with care and love, and Eddie watched endearingly as you meticulously packed each and every cone, lined them up in the bags, and even included some candies from your personal stash. The bags looked almost comical next to the brown bags that your boyfriend’s regular orders were in, but as you piled into his van, both his and your bags piled into one of your many tote bags, they looked perfect together.
He held your hand the whole two-hour drive into the city, a mixture of alternative rock and metal blaring through the speakers as you both sang along at the top of your lungs, a smile permanently etched into your lips. Eddie even let you be the one to run the bags up to each of his clients, watching with a lovesick smile and your favorite puppy dog eyes as each and every one of them smiled, happy to see you and your bubbly personality.
You practically skipped away from the final house of the night, grinning from ear to ear. You had sweet-talked the customer, a 6’3 and honestly terrifying security guard, into buying a couple of your special bundles for his girlfriend, who had waved at you from behind the open door.
With your empty tote bag swinging from your hand and your front pockets full of cash, you pranced up to Eddie, who leaned against the side of his van with a grin that could stop hearts on his face. Except, he was looking at you, who was the picture of joy.
“D’you see? I got him to buy three bundles! I told you they’d be a big seller,” You smiled brightly, chains jingling as you rocked back and forth on your heels. “He got them for his new girlfriend and he said he’d let you know how she likes them.”
“That’s great sweetheart,” He reached forward to pull you close and kiss your cheek. He watched you pull the big bills of cash out of your pocket, folded perfectly and all in the same direction and put it into his pocket instead. “We make a good team.”
“The best! You’ve gotta let me keep doing this, babe,” You pull your tote bag over your shoulder and loop your hands around his neck, stepping on the tiptoes of your boots. “They love me. And it’s so fun!”
Eddie chuckles and shakes his head. “What kind of influence am I, huh? Getting you to enjoy this whole thing?”
“The worst ever,” You hum, smiling at his almost drunk expression as he looked at you. “I think my parents would have a conniption if they knew what I was out doing right now.”
“Oh, what will I ever do if your parents find out that I’ve corrupted their precious angel?” He laid the sarcasm on thick, reveling at the giggle you let out as he smushed a kiss to the soft skin of your cheek. He pulled back after, pecked a quick kiss to your lips, and tapped your hip with the hand that held his car keys. “C’mon. Let’s get home and pack a bowl with some of that mix you’ve been selling. I wanna see what it’s all about.”
“Really?”
He stepped back and opened the passenger side door for you. “Really really.”
“Yes!” You celebrated, grabbing his face and smacking a kiss to his lips before you leaned down into your seat. “God, I love you.”
“I love you too, angel.”

What the ever loving hamsters is this?! Done with a bag room early? The audacity! Second bag-room of the year. It’s not as tall as the first, still 1:6th scale though, with plenty of headroom for photography. A simple stone finish for a secondary backdrop. Add photos, posters, whatever you like, and make each side a whole new thing! You have da powah!
Look! Still liftable! Super light. Kid can carry it themselves, if you let them. See that floor clearance? That’s on one finger, and I’m da weak.
When the ties are open, you can use them as soft touches at the edge of the photo, like a curtain, you can tuck them back, you can... options!
And when it’s opened? Look! An alcove! ‘Stained-glass’! Gold accented paper! ‘Hard wood’ floor! You can do a lot with a room like this.
Here’s an included option. The picture frames have glass, interchangeable picture and ‘doctorates’. Silent butler (coat rack), side table (drawer opens), planter, table, chair, and more!
Better look at the ‘diploma’ and the picture. Plant on the table, magazines to read, and a faux leather chair to read in.
This is the included doll. Custom face up, custom outfit, shoes she can stand in *without* a doll stand... I am so happy with this.
The doll is on a ‘ballet Barbie’ body. Not as much articulation as a Made to Move, but you work with what you got. Made a cell phone for the doll as well.
The hands are really good at holding things. I also love that ‘country’ hair.
Okay, look, I get a lot of junk mail. When I can use a part of it for dolls, I will. So this doll comes with a ‘credit card’. Because, she’s got that clout.
So much clout, she’s gonna head out into the world for a little shopping and some brunch.
Here are some detail shots of what comes with this bag-room. Things in the bag: make up, pencil, notebook, cell phone, wallet, credit card, sunglasses, and two earring backs. Magazines? Eight of them. You can see that each one opens, having old style adds inside, so that they give ‘reading’ vibes as your doll looks through them. The shoes. Accented in gold stars and rose details. They are made to allow the doll to stand on her own two feet. Just a little finagling to balance the doll and wham-o! No stand needed. The necklace closes in the back with a simple hook mechanism. I think it’s lovely. Those earrings? That’s why the backs are in the bag. You can wear them. This doll wears human earrings, so they are sharable.
Window time! Stained-glass effect! First insert. Sun rise! Second: Evening. Third: Dawn. The winter scene is a permeant background. Really shows off the glass lines.
A better look at the custom face up. I’m not the best with hair, but I still think it’s not that bad, you know?
Everything that comes with this set.
And yes, as always, it can fit into the closed bag, with room to spare.
February is the next bag-room. I wonder what I’ll make. If you want this one, let me know.

trying to juggle my jobs rn and i just feel so like . lol. like jack of all trades master of none. No i do not have a full time professional career but i work all these weird ass, unique, semi specialized, and not connected at all jobs that make people double take every single time they hear about Any of them. michaels is my most normal one UNTIL i start talking about framing then everyone is like what the fuck. i was telling my coworker at my other job about framing and he was teasing me about how passionate i was getting about like frame anatomy and construction. he had me rating his framing setup for his college diplomas and i was like "well i like the fillet but the mat is uneven and the glass is not anti-glare and also probably not anti-UV" and all his only response was. asking me what a mat was. and then at michaels i talk about my other job and everyone is always like dude that's so cool. they're more wowed by the uniqueness of the job but sometimes they ask me about the logistics too and then i'm getting the teasing about being passionate about some niche nerd shit. i cant even talk about that other job here because it's so weird and specialized that i'd doxx myself. and my internship. i've mentioned it before but i tend to avoid outright discussing it as directly since it also is more high stakes than michaels but its still like, augh? it had me in contact with fucking county executives over both the phone AND email and shit about stuff pertaining to social work and welfare. augh
oh and another point of chaos to all this is also a volunteer opportunity/informal unpaid internship that someone at my other job works at and i saw her hoodie for it and was like omg i totally wanna join. and i definitely definitely cannot talk about what that is cuz that will 100% doxx me as well if i ever were to work there. all i can say is that it is an actual scientific research thing. but like how the fuck do i have time for any of this and why does none of this have anything to do with each other. custom framing for art and photography; social welfare programs; scientific research; [redacted]. there's so many cool and interesting things in the world why cant i do all of it
#i didnt wanna ask my internship supervisor about a grad position beyond volunteering bc its like#im NOT going to the masters in social work program i dont really wanna fill the space up when others could take the position#and actually have it be relevant to their lives#but well SHE reached out to ME so like tee hee I GUESSS.......#i still need to reach out to the volunteer research position guy#i told my coworker i'd email him this past monday and she was so stoked she was like it'd be sooo fun to work together there too#but it just. totally fell by the fucking wayside this week what with my actual paid internship shit#brot posts#this is insane LMAOOOOOOOO#let me email the guy first and see if he even has the time to take on and train a newbie before i start trying#to factor that thing into all this mess as well#literally totally forgot about it until i was writing this post bc this whole week ive been trying to schedule that zoom meeting with#my internship supervisor

Done art commissions? Handling confidential client information and transactions. Pet sitting, helping someone with their homework, babysitting, lawn mowing, anything can be re-framed into buzzword friendly search terms that show you have the diligence and willingness to learn more.)

Proficient in marketing, merchandising & staging (AKA: setting up store displays, making sure burgers look Like They're Suppose to, making store aisles clean and products are pulled forward)
(also might help to use indeed, do their resume and their proficiency tests and include those on your resume)
Proficient in OSHA and FDA regulations in food safety control environments (aka i worked foodservice, i have cleaned toilets)
Quality assurance (literally everything ever)
Bonus points if you've worked any place that has access to cleaning products, you can say the following:
Proficient in Ecolab standard protocols.
It's important to consider that recruiters are sifting through hundreds of resumes.
short-term your experience with simple, but BUZZWORD friendly language. Why?
Not only do recruiters want to pick up what you can do Likely within the first few seconds of viewing your application, your application is more likely to be seen by websites like indeed if you use keywords and buzzwords that make your resume relevant to the website's search algorithm.
Sentences are not important. Experience is, and you likely have more than you give yourself credit for. good luck

i can pretend i’m doing pretty good for a few weeks and feel really optimistic and positive - like i’m working, i don’t hate my jobs, i’m living independently, i’m planning the next steps in my education/career, etc - and then someone or something will completely shatter this perspective. like someone derisively said to me recently, i’m working “three part-time low level jobs” - dead ends that have nothing to do with my degree, and i can’t even get hired full-time at one of them in the fucking entry level customer service position that i have already been doing for months that they’re currently hiring for. because the directors of my department who i hardly ever interact with have decided i’m too quiet. to do literally the exact same job, just with more hours so i can maybe not be broke all the time. and people keep dragging up my past academic failures acting like my entire degree doesn’t matter because i have two Fs on my transcript. like big fucking deal. but i guess if i want to go back to school even just for a certificate program it matters. absolutely no faith in my other grades, my degree, my work experience, or the strength of my writing and interviewing skills for the application for a program to prepare for a job i KNOW i would be good at. but now have little faith in because i’m seeing myself the way other people see me now and it’s like. not great. how am i ever going to justify to anyone that they should admit me into their program or hire me knowing that this is what i am to people. anyway i literally took my diploma out of the frame and tore it in half the other day because it is such a useless piece of shit that will never get anyone to give me any credit or respect and it’s not something i’m even allowed to feel proud of anymore (despite people trying to convince me for months that i should even though i didn’t feel anything about it. but they wanted me to care about it) because my transcript isn’t fucking pristine. and then going to this fucking funeral where a bunch of people i don’t know want to hear about everything in my life and none of it is impressive enough for them and you can just see them failing at hiding how judgmental they are. and then you think you’re doing something nice for somebody else and it’s suddenly all turned around on you as if them ALLOWING you to help them was such a nice thing for them to do for YOU and actually you don’t appreciate all the things that they do and you’re ungrateful and mean, as if you didn’t drop everything the day after working the overnight shift to be there for them and also the entire weekend which you had to call off two days of work for. which of course was basically mandatory but still. god forbid i show an ounce of negativity right before going to a fucking funeral. and then there was that kidney stone i got that was definitely my fault because i drank nothing but alcohol for like a week straight leading up to it. not to mention all of the other parts of my diet that are unhealthy. anyway.
all of that optimism and positivity feeling like i’m getting my shit together is crushed and it’s like suddenly, instead of living in a great neighborhood! with such an easy commute! that’s so beautiful this time of year! i’m in this awful house with these perfectly nice people who i fucking hate in this tiny dirty room that is clearly inhabited by a very mentally unstable individual who can’t handle basic household chores, i have to spend money to get on the dirty crowded bus every day to go to a job where people are dismissive and rude to me even though i am so polite and pleasant and helpful and friendly and everything that i’m told to be and i do all my work and i’m good at it and it’s still not enough because i’m not out here begging for attention for just doing my fucking job. and suddenly, instead of feeling like i have this Future where i’ll pursue a career that i might actually have a chance at succeeding in, it’s just like. well “you’ve been interested in other things in the past, how do you know this time will be different?” great question, thanks. i don’t fucking know. i probably will lose interest as soon as things get hard and give up and have wasted everybody’s time once again not to mention all kinds of money and energy, and i’ll be even more lost than before and i’ll probably just kill myself. is that what you want to hear? fuck. i don’t know, man, i just want enough money to live by myself and dress well and eat well and do some things that i like. actually i’m realizing how much of what i do is just to try to earn some kind of leverage to get people to show me just a little bit of basic human respect which of course they are never going to give me. anyway. not to mention that all of my friends are in different parts of the country and nobody here wants to hang out. to be fair i haven’t reached out recently but i tried really hard for a couple of months to be more social and i was the only one trying and it was too fucking hard and most of the time i just wished i’d stayed home. and i think there’s just something about me that people can tell is just kind of off and they don’t like me. and then a lot of times i drink too much. but it was a lot easier to feel like i didn’t need anyone and i was happy just being by myself because i liked my jobs and i was working all the time so i was busy but now. i don’t want to say that the illusion is shattered because it’s not really an illusion, but it’s like i was seeing the surface of a smooth pond reflecting all the light and now all i can see is the mud and algae and dead fish. literally i had to radio facilities to get a dead fish out of a fountain the other day, it was fucking gross

What Factors Influence the Durability of Document Frames?
Material Composition and Its Impact
The durability of document frames is significantly influenced by their material composition. Wood, a popular choice, offers a blend of strength and aesthetic appeal. However, the type of wood used can greatly impact the frame's longevity and resilience.
Types of Wood Used in Document Frames
Different types of wood are employed in crafting document frames, each bringing unique characteristics. Hardwoods such as oak and maple are renowned for their robustness and ability to withstand wear over time. Softwoods like pine, while more affordable, may not offer the same level of durability but can still be an excellent choice for certain applications.
Comparison with Other Materials
When comparing wood to other materials like metal or plastic, wood often stands out for its natural beauty and warmth. Metal frames offer superior strength but can lack the charm that wooden frames provide. Plastic frames, while lightweight and cost-effective, may not offer the same level of durability as their wooden counterparts.
Environmental Factors Affecting Longevity
The environment where a document frame is placed plays a crucial role in its longevity. Wood frames are particularly susceptible to changes in humidity and temperature.
Humidity and Temperature Considerations
Wood is a natural material that expands and contracts with fluctuations in humidity and temperature. In areas with high humidity, wooden document frames might warp or swell if not properly treated or maintained. Conversely, extremely dry conditions can lead to cracking or splitting.
Exposure to Sunlight and Its Effects
Prolonged exposure to sunlight can cause fading or discoloration in wooden frames. UV rays can degrade the finish over time, making it essential to position frames away from direct sunlight or use UV-protective coatings.
How Does Wood Compare to Other Document Frame Materials?
Aesthetic Appeal and Versatility
Wooden document frames are celebrated for their aesthetic appeal and versatility. They add a touch of elegance to any setting while offering various styles to suit different tastes.
Natural Finish vs. Painted Options
Wood frames can be left with a natural finish to highlight the grain's beauty or painted for a more contemporary look. This versatility allows them to complement any decor style seamlessly.
Customization Possibilities
The customization options with wood are extensive. From intricate carvings to personalized engravings, wooden document frames can be tailored to meet specific preferences or design needs.
Cost-Effectiveness and Value for Money
When considering cost-effectiveness, it's important to weigh initial investment against long-term benefits.
Initial Investment vs. Long-Term Benefits
While wooden document frames might require a higher initial investment compared to plastic options, their durability often translates into greater value over time. They maintain their appearance longer and require less frequent replacement.
Comparing Costs with Metal or Plastic Frames
In comparison with metal or plastic frames, wood offers a balanced approach between cost and quality. Metal may have higher upfront costs due to its strength, whereas plastic is cheaper but less durable.
