Feel free to ignore this, but I have to ask since I've been rewatching yugioh 5ds and you're one of the very few blogs I've searched that mentioned Satellite Bros age order. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this and if you know other blogs that talk about it.

Word of god canon is that the age order is Jack (19), Yusei (18), and Crow (17), at the start of the series.

But while you can make an argument that Yusei would have records, people who knew when he was born, or at least a birth certificate, Jack and Crow are orphans. If Jack is indeed 19, then he would have been roughly a year old when Zero Reverse happened, likely killing his parents, at the very least destroying a massive amount of city infrastructure. You tell me Jack knows his birthday and I press (X) to doubt.

Crow is apparently canonically younger than Yusei, but. His parents also died in Zero Reverse.

This. This straight up does not work.

Also Yusei is shown to be a baby when Zero Reverse occurred and if Crow's parents did indeed die in Zero Reverse when he was under a year old he there is NO WAY he would live much longer than that. That's just. How babies work.

CROW HOGAN HAS TO BE OLDER THAN YUSEI.

I will die on this hill. I watched the show thinking Crow was the middle brother and then learned their apparent canon ages after because he has to be older than Yusei for any of his backstory to make sense. Konami can fight me on this.

NARRATIVELY they are the middle and youngest child. Jack has Past motifs, Crow is Present, and Yusei is Future. Jack and Yusei's whole dynamic is the most oldest sibling vs youngest sibling drama possible.

As for Jack, I always like to think it was his birthday like, a week before Yusei leaves Satellite, because being a Newly Minted Twenty Year Old explains everything about his personality.

It looks possible that this letter might be addressed to someone whose name starts with A. I don't think there's transcription of the other text in the image yet, but the top document is attributed to one I. I. Mechnikov. The pocket watch in the lower left appears to show the time 1:30.

No idea how this connects to the mysterious letters that backers have been receiving yet :-)

Call me crazy, but why are sex markers on so many things? Not even in relation to trans issues, but like, why does the government need to know what’s in my pants so bad? Why does anyone but my doctor, actually?

Why is that pertinent information on my drivers license? I don’t use my genitalia to drive a car. Why do websites want to know?

And if what was in my pants *had* changed by now, why do they want to know what was there *before*? People letting the government know that something’s changed is a mutual kindness, really. I’m all for people having mismatched documentation if their government is so insistent on prying into the underwear of the public.

like imagine work day proceeding as always (aka disaster after disaster) and then for some work related shit someone asks him his birthday and age and he just opens his mouth to reply but nothing comes out because he legit can’t remember. he just dumbly stays here for a minute having really strong thinking session only to say ‘I honestly don’t remember’ (but it also attributes to him never really celebrating his birthday because orphanage either messed up dates or straight up ignored it and at adulthood he’s mostly too busy or there’s extra work so if he’s lucky enough he can treat himself to a piece of cake after work at home and that’s it)

voting in the primaries on a florida ballot (im not from there but i was sadly born there) was an Experience. (for context I'm an overseas voter) despite having changed all the documents its physically possible for me to change, despite not using, hearing, or writing my deadname for well over a decade, i still had to sign my ballot using that name. i had to literally forge my 18 year old self's signature, even by then only using initials, because i hadn't written it in so long i needed to cross check it against my ancient passport and practice it over and over on a piece of paper beforehand. it felt Scary to me, impersonating this stranger, reaching back in time to beg and plead with florida lawmakers not to rob people with uteruses of their basic human rights, not to elect literal comic book villains to positions of power, not to destroy the ecosystems of the state. i hope that kid's voice matters because it will be a long time until my own voice will.
