pile 1, white and black koi:
you attract people who are or want to be well known in their field, smart. they like to be celebrated and almost be put on a pedestal. they enjoy the feeling of recognition. they might be someone who debates a lot, loves intellectual conversations, and in a toxic situation - might like to one-up others to make themselves feel better. they’ve got a sharp tongue and a quick wit. however, they’re prone to getting into conflicts and feel animosity towards others quite quickly especially if the other person is better than them. they enjoy victory and respect, and probably have a big ego. im getting very insecure inside but confident outside vibes.
careers that i associate this person with: athlete, lawyer, businessperson
pile 2, orange koi:
you attract people who can be possibly devoted to their religion. they enjoy following rules, and have a traditional mindset. they enjoy learning new things and expanding their horizons, which makes them a magnet to others. their constant energy of a curious mind uplifts their bright energy. they can be persuasive, and quick thinking, their mind works faster than their mouth. they can be viewed as a blabbermouth sometimes. they love talking, and are probably popular in their friend or work circles. they are probably the first to deliver the latest news and gossip, and are possibly influential / popular on social media too.
careers that i associate this person with: social media influencer, student, pastor
pile 3, gold and white koi:
you attract people who are generous with their love. their heart is good, and they’re an emotional soul. they literally radiate aphrodite energy. they’re also quite creative. however, they do get into arguments quite easily, and can be defensive. they probably walk away with hollow victories, and lay at night worrying about what they could have said. they dislike hurting people and may keep a defensive, confident front up. they are the type of people to get off social media to clear their head, they have low social battery. they can probably be into meditation, journalling, or spirituality; they may enjoy sleeping.
careers that i associate this person with: artist, therapist, boxer

The absolutely comical irony of a woman clad in a Catholic church t-shirt and wearing a cross necklace coming into my office to pearl clutch because she's 'horrified' we don't have multiple teachers to a classroom since the 'male teachers could sexually assault the students.' I have never been ruder to a customer in my life.

Today In Card Design [5]: What Bias Means To A Successful Game
A couple days ago, I posted about the forms of bias you may encounter among TCG players, whether it comes down to finding where you stand or determining what needs to fulfill when making custom cards (or even your own game). However, I didn't have time to post about what each of those biases means when it comes to people actually buying into or playing a card game. Primarily, this advice is fairly necessary for anyone making a game of their own (like me!), so I feel a need to address them now. Make sure you read the previous post on this subject, also linked above; things I say below assume you have knowledge from that post.
X Factor: X Factor players bring in your casual following, and are responsible for a good amount of investment in premade decks, primarily starter decks. While other players have a role in supporting your game's popularity, these players are the mainstream image. Most younger audiences also fall into this category.
Combo: Combo players explore what your game can do, the intricacies and the card interactions. These players frequently discover new strategies that eventually become popular, and play your game at a somewhat less casual level, though they tend to keep their play to local game stores. Young adults tend to fall in this category.
Metagame: Metagamers take your game mainstream in a completely different way, setting the stage for organized play. These players don't tend to buy as much randomized product, so making sure your decks provide some metagame material while still offering plenty of room for improvement is a must for these players, else they'll just peruse the secondary market. Older players tend to favor metagaming.
Speculator: While speculators are generally not enfranchised players in a card game, they're the frontline when it comes to getting your game into players' hands. Sell all the decks you want; in order for a TCG to go mainstream, you'll generally need to sell booster packs, and packing important cards into them is important to make sure speculators buy in. Without them, your game is much less accessible.
Collector: Collectors aren't usually going to be involved in the mainstream cycle of your game, though they tend to splurge on more expensive products. They may also make similar purchases to a speculator if a certain card is very expensive on the secondary market, but for the most part, whether these "players" buy in or not depends on the longevity of your game. They will buy your more exclusive product, but beware; if product is too limited, then your main audience will be deprived of valuable cards (see: MTG's switch to limited drops for Secret Lair Drops instead of Print-to-Demand).
