love this system that is like "oh you work for 2 years while we barely pay you - it's not called a wage for a reason, duh - have you come to class and write an exam every week but in class - just for funsies - we won't actually teach you what you need to know for the exams but a lot of practical stuff which doesn't apply for your work because that is way more specialized"
glad i can skip the classes since i moved outside of town for this part. while i have to teach everything to myself, everyone in class is non the wiser and at least i don't lose the hours.
#ctlyuejie writes#really thought i could get some studying in until february since starting february my work schedule will be hell#but alas#idk how the people cope who have to work more hours than me#if i take anything away from this is that i am damn lucky with my supervisors#and the knowledge i could still find a job at my current workplace if I fail the bar#just had a meeting to discuss one of the mock exams: they are not allowed to hand out the correct solution just discuss it#and since a lot of it is the outline and basically formatting stuff it really isn't helpful to have someone explain where to put a signatur#and letter head etc with no visual aid#and there's also no textbook examples because every fucking region does it differently#i just love that in the exam i am drafting administrative decisions - letters to court - letters to citizens etc which in reality you'd use#internal templates for#but just for the nonsense of it all you have to memorize the formats for the bar (besides getting the material law correct obviously)#me copypasting the template for writing charges when i was working as a prosecutor vs me in the exam having to draw the state coat of arms#into the correct spot so i don't fail on a technicality#(guy who was correcting the mock exam got mad because i wrote “coat of arms” in letters instead of drawing it...my dude...it's a mock exam)#(i will draw the horse for the bar and not before that)#shouldn't have started my training in a state that has a horse on the coat of arms#also highly enjoyable how this must read like madness to anyone taking the bar in another country (besides the bar being madness anywhere)#at this point i have the equivalent of two bachelors two masters and a specialization and i still might not make it#just collecting fun letters that go behind my name

The boisterous sounds coming from the common room party filtered through the empty corridor of the boy's dormitories, making you sway to the beat of the music as you lifted your fist to the door. You rapped against the wood three times—your signature knock to let your best friend know that it was you on the other side.
You stepped back as the door swung open, revealing a disoriented Theo. His ruffled hair flopped over his eyes, the brown waves slightly flat on the right side, which you knew was his preferred side to sleep on. A twinge of guilt tugged at your heart as you watched the sleepy boy before you, his Chudley Cannons sweatshirt and light grey lounge pants indicating that you had probably interrupted his slumber. A rarity, given that your best friend suffered from insomnia more often than not.
Rubbing his eyes, Theo adjusted to the darkness of the hallway and glanced down at you. In your tiny little dress, you shivered in the cool air of the dungeons, wrapping your arms around yourself in an attempt to chase away the goosebumps.
"Hi Teddy," you whispered. "Did I wake you?"
"You did, but I don't mind." Theo said softly, rubbing up and down your arms to provide some much needed warmth. "What are you doing still up?"
"Pans convinced me to play another round of beer pong," you confessed. "You should have seen us. We obliterated the boys. Malfoy threw a fit."
The silly giggle that you covered behind your hand made Theo smile. If your constant swaying wasn't enough of an indication that you were currently inebriated, the deep red flush on your cheeks, neck, and arms told Theo all that he needed to know. You were absolutely sloshed.
"I'm sorry I missed it, dolcezza." When your body temperature refused to thaw, Theo shrugged off his jumper. For a brief moment, you caught a glimpse of his toned stomach, his olive skin glimmering in the dim lighting. You bit your lip, averting Theo's gaze. Luckily, he was too preoccupied with pulling the jumper over your head to notice. "Come in, let's get you warm, yeah?"
"Mmkay," you murmured in agreement. You trailed behind Theo, almost knocking into the doorway until he laced his fingers through yours, guiding you inside his dorm.
"There's a door there, amorina."
"Don't make fun, Teddy." You huffed, pouting as you followed closely behind. "Your room's too dark. How can you even see anything in here?"
Theo chuckled. "Sure, let's blame the lack of light instead of the fact that you're smashed."
"Am not," you countered, plopping onto Theo's large, plush bed. "I'm perfectly sober, thank you very much."
"Fine. Then who was the Minister of Magic during the Goblin Rebellion in 1752?"
"There were two ministers at the time. Boot was in office first, then he resigned due to mismanagement. Basil Flack replaced him." You smirked at your best friend, feeling rather smug. "Just because I'm bevvied doesn't mean that you'll catch me lacking, Theodore."
Theo raised a brow. "So you admit you're drunk?"
"You tricked me!"
"Guilty as charged." Theo admitted, plopping down right next to you. "So, did you bail on the party just to hog my bed?"
"It's not my fault that yours is much more comfier than mine," you mumbled, cocooning yourself underneath his comforters. "Plus, the party wasn't as fun without you there. I needed my partner in crime."
"I thought you'd be glad that I studied for the History of Magic exam instead of getting shitfaced. You're the one always telling me off about partying too much."
"Yeah, but I didn't think you'd actually listen."
"It's you," Theo said with a smile. "Of course I listened."
"I never thought I'd live to see the day when Theodore Nott is more responsible than me."
A smile tugged at your best friend's lips. "Well, one of us has to be. You're a mess, Y/N," he teased. "But you're my mess."
"As if that's not the pot calling the kettle black."
Theo chuckled as you buried yourself in his blankets, hiding from him entirely. He snuck underneath the covers and scooted closer until you were face to face.
"Hello," Theo whispered, wrapping his arms around your waist. He buried his face in the crook of your neck and hugged you liked he hadn't seen you all week. "I've missed you quite terribly."
"It's only been a few hours, Teddy." You replied, giggling as you brushed his hair back. It was getting so long, but you loved how soft and fluffy his locks felt as you ran your fingers through it.
"Says the girl who snuck into the boy's dorms to see me."
"Okay, so maybe I missed you too."
"That's what I thought."
You stayed intertwined for a moment, your hearts beating in sync as you clung onto one another. When you yawned, Theo patted your leg. "Come on, love. Let's get you ready for bed."
"But I'm already comfy," you whined, burying your face in his chest.
"I know, amorina. But you'll feel so much better after you've washed your face." You pouted in response. "I promise I'll make it quick. Then we can cuddle, okay?"
You nodded. "Okay, Teddy."
Theo smiled before giving you a piggyback ride to his private bathroom. Setting you down on the counter, he pulled out the makeup wipes that he kept in the drawer for this exact reason. You swung your legs in the air as he wiped the foundation off your face. With his brows furrowed and his tongue poking out of the corner of his mouth, you'd never seen Theo so concentrated.
You grinned and pinched his cheek. "You're so cute when you're focused."
He quirked a brow as he helped you wash off the remnants. "Only when I'm focused?"
"No, you're cute all the time. It's infuriating." You lamented as Theo patted your face with a face cloth. He hummed, spreading serums and moisturizers on your skin like he'd seen you do a thousand times over.
"Oh? Care to share?"
"Hmm," you hummed, leaning into his touch. "I think it's cute when you hook our pinkies together in the hallway so I don't get overwhelmed by the crowd. Or when you get crumbs all over your face and grin like a little kid when I catch you raiding my cookie stash. Or how your eyes light up when we're watching the stars at night."
"You noticed all of that?" Theo asked softly.
"It's you," you answered, mirroring his words from earlier. "Of course I noticed."
The shy smile on his face made your heart flutter. "For the record, I think you're cute too. I think you're the cutest girl I've ever seen in my entire life."
"Sounds like you have a crush on me, Teddy."
"I have for the past six years. Thanks for finally noticing," he said with a chuckle.
You groaned, burying your face into his neck. "Don't say that to me when I'm drunk. What if I don't remember it tomorrow?"
Theo kissed the top of your head and carried you off to bed. "Then I guess I'll just have to remind you in the morning, love."
With a grin, you kissed the tip of his nose. "Thanks for taking care of me, Teddy."
Theo smiled. It was so beautiful that your heart ached to bear witness to it. As he tucked you into bed and wrapped his arms around you, the boy that you loved pressed a kiss to your temple and spoke a promise into the night.
"I'll always take care of you, Y/N."

The Art of Learning Potions (according to Enzo Berkshire)
Lorenzo Berkshire x gn!reader; fluff
summary: potions is hard, but confessing your feelings is harder. especially when the person you’re in love with is your best friend.
a/n: dedicated to @finalgirllx for helping me figure out wtf to do with Enzo. also! this ended up being my submission for @thatdammchickennugget’s first hogmarch prompt. i’m sorry its short and kinda sucks (and its been like 22 days since i last posted a work)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You walk into the common room the night before a big Potions exam with a groan. Your group of friends is sitting around the fireplace, causally talking, enticing you to relax for the first time this week.
Spotting Enzo lounging on one of the couches, you make your way over before dropping your body weight against him. He makes a small oof at the unexpected person in his lap and chuckles softly once he realizes its you, wrapping his arms around you without hesitation.
Nobody acknowledges your arrival, so you take Enzo’s sweatshirt covered chest as an invitation to use it as a pillow.
He’s warm, as usual, and the soft Slytherin green material of his sweatshirt is comforting on your skin.
His hand comes up to caress your back and you can feel your heart beat everywhere.
As he keeps up with the current conversation (quidditch maybe?) his voice rumbles in his chest in a soothing way. You notice it compliments the thump of his heart beating softly in your ear.
Not that you cared. Obviously.
You had been friends, best friends even, since first year. And you definitely did not have a crush on him. Nope. Not even with his charming smile and ability to brighten the worst of days.
You quickly push the thought away.
The two of you stay like that for a while, then the conversation migrates to the exam tomorrow. With a small groan you turn your head to face the group, “I’ve been studying all week and I still don’t feel ready. I swear, Snape is out to get me.”
That makes a couple of the guys chuckle.
Enzo suddenly speaks from above your head, “I could probably use a bit more study time if you wanna look it over together before bed?”
You don’t catch Mattheo suggestively raising his eyebrows to tease Enzo. Instead you’re turning your head to look up at the boy you’re currently laying on, chin resting on his chest, “sure, I’d be down for that Enz.”
You get up from his lap and grab your bag, heading to his dorm to resume your studying.
Once you’re out of earshot, Mattheo leans over to Theo next to him, “more like studying anatomy, not potions.”
Enzo shoots the two a glare and hisses, “not like either of you would know anything about that.”
Matt and Theo burst into laughter at his reply as Enzo turns and follows you into his dorm room.
Tumblr media
Head starting to ache, you look at the clock. 1:04 am. Stretching your arms out, you look over at Enzo, whose eyes were already on you.
“What are you staring at, Berkshire?” there’s a teasing smile on your lips that makes Enzo laugh.
“Oh nothing,” he flashes a cheeky grin.
You lean over and shove him playfully, which makes him laugh. Gods you could listen to him laugh forever.
“So did my explanation help? Or are you still worried about tomorrow?” his grin is softer.
“I think I’m getting it now, thanks for helping me. You’re a surprisingly good tutor,” a smile works its way onto your face, a hint of blush rising in your cheeks.
“Oh, I’m a good tutor, huh? Is it that, or is it because you’re in love with me?” he’s smiling so easily, it almost makes you jealous.
You struggle to come up with a reply, “in love with you?” Your cheeks are definitely on fire now.
“Maybe I’m just hoping you are, but I think I’m right.” He shrugs nonchalantly.
“How can you be so causal about this?”
“How are you not?”
Your mouth opens and closes as you contemplate his words.
Enzo takes a step closer, taking your hands in his, “I have feelings for you, I’m almost certain you feel the same. So why complicate it? Give in, live a little.”
Without allowing yourself to overthink things again, you lean up and press your lips to his, a heat immediately washing over you.
He’s quick to return the kiss, as if he’d been waiting for it his entire life. His mouth moves softly against you, hands leaving their grasp on yours to hold your face. The hold is gentle, but unwavering. Instinctively your hands reach out to his sweatshirt to claw at the material, trying to bring him closer. He takes the hint and presses his body against yours, making that heat in your core spike.
Now that he’s closer, you slip your hands around his torso and deepen the kiss, wanting to drown in him.
You pull back to catch your breath, and his lips chase after yours. You let out a laugh, releasing the nerves you’d had pent up.
Those pretty brown eyes look down at you, his smirk back on his face, “so I was right?”
That earns him another shove, but he doesn’t let you move him this time, locked against you. There’s something vulnerable in his gaze that makes you want to be honest, “you were.”
“Good.”
His lips are back on yours in an instant, making you gasp at the suddenness of it. The kiss is brief, but leaves you craving more.
“We-“ you pause for a moment not wanting this to end, “we should get some sleep so we’re not dying during the exam.”
“Or, we could catch up on lost time and deal with the consequences later.”
And who can blame you for not being able to say no to that face?
Tumblr media
Bonus: So maybe staying up into the early hours of the morning wasn’t your smartest decision. But Enzo’s surprisingly good tutoring skills made up for it with a passing grade on the exam. You’re never gonna hear the end of that one.

“Guess again, princess.”
Guess again…? What was that supposed to mean?
The man standing before you was clearly Jimin. But how had he managed to dye his dirty blonde hair into a rich purple in a matter of minutes? How had he managed to change his bright blue eyes into a menacing dark red? Did he magic himself to change his appearance? But why would he even do that in the first place?
Questions upon questions started to pile into your mind, only adding to your confusion, until a single memory bulldozed the pile to the ground.
‘Wait! You have to tell me,’ Jungkook had gasped, ‘is it true you have an evil twin? I’ve heard so many rumours about it. And I swear I saw this guy that looked just like you in class earlier!’
Jungkook’s words, which had been disregarded as silly rumours at the time, suddenly came to mind as the realisation dawned on you.
Perhaps his words weren’t as silly as you thought.
Your gaze raised to the man standing before you, studying him before you spoke slowly.
“You wouldn’t happen to be Jimin’s evil twin, would you?”
The man paused, his eyes just barely widening for a moment before he laughed. It was a chilling sound, scattering goosebumps all over your arms as it bounced against the walls of the dim, empty hall. While Taehyung’s gaze had felt icy and unwelcoming, this man’s laugh felt like a deadly warning.
“Evil twin?” He repeated once the laugh had tapered off, tone now laced with apathetic amusement, “no one has ever said that to my face before.”
He studied your form for a moment, gaze travelling from your uniform to the wand in your hand to your features before finally raising to meet yours once again.
“Judging from your lack of trembling, you’re either wildly ignorant…”
The evidently fake amusement suddenly vanished from his face as he took a step forward, leaving just a breath’s worth of space to lay between you both. You could feel the edge of your uniform brush against his own as you felt your chest rise in irritation.
“Or you’re extremely dumb,” he finished, his voice low and simmering alongside his unwavering eyes.
His desire to intimidate you was as clear as day.
But you would not be so easily intimidated, so instead you met his gaze confidently as you forced your expression to remain unfazed. Who did he think he was to send you a hidden threat? Principal’s son be damned, he would learn what happens when you’re pushed to your limit.
You brought your hand to his clothed chest before giving him a forceful shove, hoping to create some distance between the two of you. He didn’t move as much as you would have liked, barely half a step at the most.
“I’m neither, so I suggest you stop throwing words like that around so carelessly. Do you even know who I am?”
You regretted the words the second they had left your lips, cringing as you realised how they might have sounded. They implied that you were like every other elitist here, hiding behind your parents’ money and power. But that had not been what you meant.
Unfortunately, Jimin’s brother didn’t seem to realise that.
He gasped dramatically, bringing his hands to his mouth as his voice dripped in sarcastic fear, “oh my, you’re right! I should know my place shouldn’t I?”
That earned him a roll of your eyes.
“Tell me, which mommy and daddy will put me behind bars if I speak to their princess badly, hm?”
“I’m not talking about my parents,” you snapped, irritated by his condescending tone, “it’s me you should be worried about.”
A scoff sounded at the back of his throat, as if you had said something unbelievable. You hated how annoyed that made you, so much so that you were ready to end this conversation and head to your room.
“Whatever,” you said, gaze momentarily taking in the bright moon standing proudly outside the hall’s window, “what are you doing here in the dead of night?”
Jimin’s twin crossed his arms over his chest as he raised a challenging brow, “and how is that any of your business?”
“It’s my school,” you deadpanned, “if you’re about to blow it to bits, I’d like to at least be aware that a celebration is in order. Now care to explain?”
The ends of lips twitched, “you know I could ask you the same. What are you doing here all by yourself, at a time like this?”
“Do you always answer questions with another question?”
“Do you always ask so many questions?”
The both of you stared each other down, yours a seething glare while his was filled with cocky amusement. You seemed to have met your match when it came to stubbornness, and you had to admit you were far from amused.
“Is this a twin thing?” You spoke sharply, “you’re a complete jerk while your brother is just slightly more tolerable?”
You noticed his amusement vanish at your words, leaving behind a hard expression that tore through your gaze. You got the feeling that he was thrown off by something you had said.
“... slightly more tolerable?” He repeated slowly, eyes calculatingly sharp all of a sudden, “ that’s not usually how people describe my dear old brother.”
“I called you a jerk too, which last time I checked was much worse,” you remarked, not understanding his suddenly excessive interest.
“Did you hurt Seokjin?”
The randomness of the question had caught you so off guard that you couldn’t stop yourself from blurting out a stupid, “what?”
You didn’t understand the connection between calling him a jerk, calling Jimin tolerable, and hurting Seokjin. Whatever was going on in the mind of the man before you, you couldn’t possibly tell.
“Jimin is only rude to people that hurt Seokjin,” Jimin’s brother explained, still harbouring a lethal gaze, “if you hurt Jin, and Jimin was rude to you, it would explain why you’re not a fan of him.”
“What does that ev-”
“I asked a question,” he said sharply while cutting you off, “one I’m expecting an answer to.”
Despite the fact that he had interrupted you and his tone had become threatening again, you couldn’t find it in yourself to be angry. All you could do was stare at him with a confused expression, wondering where this conversation had gone.
“No,” you answered finally, “I didn’t hurt Seokjin. I hate your brother because he’s annoying. That’s all.”
“I see,” he said, lost in thought for a moment before the amusement sunk back into his features. This dude was going to give you whiplash at this point, “in that case, you seem to have caught my attention, princess.”
“Am I supposed to be honoured?” You scoffed, “I could care less what you think of me.”
“I’ve already wasted more than enough time with you here anyway. Blow up the school, don’t blow up the school, I don’t care. Just stay away from me.”
You turned around and started walking away, but not before adding for good measure, “or you’ll regret it.”
Jimin’s brother watched you walk away curiously, a thought lingering at the back of his mind. You had just pushed against one of the heavy doors when he turned and crouched in front of the Tree of Life.
A soft bang, reverberated around the hall, causing you to pause in your escape and face him once again. You were met with the view of Jimin’s brother bent over the floor.
Except, the floor was no longer the pristinely smooth marble tiles organised throughout the area. Instead, a large tile had been pushed upwards, almost like a trap door. You moved closer, peering deeper to find a set of stairs travelling downward, directly under the Tree of Life.
Your gaze flitted to Jimin’s brother, who was staring into the deep abyss thoughtfully.
“They say this trap door leads to an ancient and long since abandoned lab that used to belong to Park Bogum, the creator of Elitist Academy,” he said, “you must know about the rumours surrounding him…”
“Regarding his affiliations with Counterbalance.”
You paused, cautiously taking in his words.
Most people lazily referred to Counterbalance as dark or black magic, but that was an overly simplified term to describe a thing that was much more complex. While Life magic was the magic that essentially sustained the world, Counterbalance was the magic that countered it to keep it in check. Sure, that inherently didn’t make Counterbalance evil in itself, but the magic had been associated with so many horrible things that have happened in the past that some have made the association anyway.
“How do you know that? Why do you know that?” You asked.
“Why?” He countered, pushing himself off the ground to face you, “are you scared?”
“It’s dark magic. If you’re not scared, you’re just stupid.”
Jimin’s brother gave you a devilish grin, one that you found both irritating and unnerving at the same time, before he stepped towards you. The two of you were close once again.
“Wanna come with me?”
You gave him an incredulous look, “did you not hear what I just said? There’s a reason why attempting to manipulate Counterbalance is forbidden.”
“Yes, the reason being cowardice,” Jimin’s brother said with a scowl, “dark magic is simply a different type of magic we’re not yet familiar with. If we keep hiding from it, we’ll always cower in its shadow.”
“So tell me, are you coming or not?”
He was crazy. It was the only explanation you could come up with to explain why he seemed so interested in potentially entering a Counterbalance lab. And as much as you pitied the insane, you were not going to let them lead you by example.
“Forget it,” you said immediately, stepping away from him, “if we get caught, we could actually get expelled.”
And then I’ll have to go back there.
“Do whatever you want. I’m leaving.”
You turned around and stormed towards the door to the residences but, just like last time, you only managed to push the giant door open before you paused.
Technically speaking, you’ve only ever read about Counterbalance magic very briefly in a few textbooks here and there, while your tutors would barely even mention the topic if at all. Yet, here Jimin’s brother was, giving you a first-hand opportunity to look at an entire dark magic lab?
This was a once in a lifetime experience.
You hated just how curious these things could make you sometimes, especially knowing the horrors that have been caused by misusing Counterbalance. The stuff shouldn’t be messed with, history had taught that lesson enough times.
But… one little look couldn’t hurt, could it?
It’s not like you were actually going to try to manipulate dark magic, you knew that would be crossing an unspeakable limit. But what harm could just looking around to satisfy your curiosity do?
Very slowly, you detached yourself from the double-doors and walked back to the Tree of Life, trying your absolute best to ignore the smirk Jimin’s brother had on his face as he eyed you.
“Changed your mind?” He asked innocently, failing miserably at hiding his smug expression.
“Shut up.”
He chuckled.
“Okay, okay,” he said, turning towards the trapdoor.
“Let’s get going.”
-
-
-
It was clear the walls making up the passageway were the roots of the Tree of Life. You could feel the familiar rough texture of its bark as you descended the spiralling staircase behind Jimin’s brother cautiously, ready to bolt if he tried anything. You obviously didn’t trust him fully, unsure of the exact reason why he had invited you along. But you didn’t bother asking knowing that he probably wouldn’t have given you an actual answer anyway.
Instead you continued to feel your way down the pitch black space, focusing on not tripping, though the thought of Jimin’s brother falling because of you put a satisfied smile on your face.
A few minutes later the passageway opened up into a large cavern, the walls still clearly made of bark. But the bark was different, with a dark brownish, blackish colour that made it seem like it was rotting.
To your left, carved into the wall of bark, was an array of bookshelves holding a number of leatherbound and worn books, while to your right stood a long table full of various lab equipment and trinkets. You scanned a wooden test tube rack holding four vials filled halfway with a glowing turquoise substance and a tray filled with a number of oddly coloured and shaped stones. A large textbook was sprawled next to it, open to a page depicting a number of trees followed by blocks of text. Everything was covered in a thick layer of dust.
Next to the table was a large cauldron, filled to the brim with the same glowing turquoise liquid in the vials, bubbling atop a flame. Brows furrowed, you brought your hand over the raging orange and maroon fire, confirming your suspicion: the flame had been magicked to only heat the cauldron. With everything being wood in the room, it was a wise choice. The sides of the cauldron were dusty as well.
Your gaze shifted back to Jimin’s brother, who was scanning the room just as curiously as you had been. His eyes missed nothing as they jumped from one small detail to the next.
“Well?” You said.
“Well what?”
“What do you mean well what? Didn’t you come down here for a reason?”
He furrowed his eyebrows, “that’s none of your business.”
You watched him turn away to pick up one of the books on the long table. He was the one that had brought you down here for who knows what reason, what was the point of being so secretive? You were going to see whatever he was down here for anyway.
Jimin’s brother set the book down, moving onto the vials in the test tube rack. He gently picked one up with his hand, and it was only then when you realised that they were gloved. Brown cloth gloves with golden rims encased both his hands while reaching a little above his wrists, a marked difference in uniform compared to the rest of the student body. Was he a germaphobe or something?
He turned to the rest of the things scattered around the table, shuffling through them. It didn’t take a detective to know that he was clearly looking for something.
But then again, what did it matter to you? You weren’t here to help him, so you turned around and went back to inspecting the other side of the room. Whoever had been studying in this lab seemed to have a special affinity for plants. There were plant specimens everywhere. Samples of different types of tree bark were hung on the wall in a frame with writing giving the descriptions of the trees they had come from, while another table separated by a movable partition held a number of different plant roots that had been dissected like a cadaver. You’d never been very interested in botany, so the evident obsession with plants had kind of dampened your interest in the place.
Once you had finished searching the area, finding nothing but more and more botanic experiments, you turned to Jimin’s brother in disappointment.
“I’m not seeing anything dark magic related,” you said crossing your arms, wondering if he had just brought you down here as some kind of prank. It seemed unlikely, but you still couldn’t help but wonder.
Jimin’s brother sighed frustratedly as he set a piece of black tree bark down, “I know.”
His tone told you that he probably had not been expecting this either. Clearly he hadn’t found what he was looking for.
“You sound disappointed,” you noted.
He didn’t answer as his gaze stayed fixed on the table, waves of frustration clearly radiating off of him. You weren’t particularly curious about what specifically it was that he had failed to find, but there was still one question that you were curious to have answered.
“So, since whatever your plan was clearly just failed, mind sharing why exactly you asked me to come down here with you?”
Jimin’s brother just stared at you, lips forming an unamused line.
“I’m not stupid,” you pressed further, “you wouldn’t have brought me here if not for a reason. So just let it out, what did you want from me?”
A slight smirk twitched against his lips as he crossed his arms over his chest, “and they say I have trust issues…”
“You’re seriously not going to tell me?” You said incredulously, finding his growing grin wildly irritating, “fine, I guess I’ll just start guessing then.”
You paused for a moment, pretending to think it through.
“Ah, I know. You’re going to use me to fulfil your plan of becoming the most powerful magic user in the world with the help of Counterbalance,” then you added, “oh right! And also to kill your twin because you’re the neglected brother that never got as much love and attention as him. How close am I?”
Jimin’s brother could only try to stifle his amusement.
“You’ve watched one too many fantasy movies, princess.”
“And what would I accomplish by murdering my brother?” He said while tilting his head, then he added sarcastically, “although, I have heard arms and legs sell for very high these days. How much do you think-”
The quip died on his tongue as the sound of a door opening suddenly reverberated around the room, freezing the two of you in place. Your gaze snapped to where the sound had come from, but you were just met with the wall of the cavern.
“Wha-” You were about to ask, but Jimin’s brother grabbed your arm with a gloved hand and quickly dragged you behind the partition you had noticed from earlier. The two of you leaned against it, the most hidden you could be in this room.
You peeked over his shoulder, still confused as to why noises were arising in the room when there was no one there, until the wall shimmered and distorted slightly to reveal a person walking through it.
Your eyes widened in recognition.
Ms. Kari?!
Ms. Kari, with her dirty blonde hair and wired glasses walked through the almost rotting black bark walls of the cavern like it was nothing, chatting intently with someone on the phone as she failed to notice the two of you.
But didn’t Jimin’s twin say this place was abandoned decades ago? What was Ms. Kari doing in a Counterbalance lab?
You glance at Jimin’s brother for a moment, and it was clear that he was thinking the same thing.
“Yes, yes, I’ve planned out the tasks,” Ms. Kari spoke into the black cellphone, “do you really believe me to be an incompetent teacher?”
You watched her walk deeper into the room, but, the more she did, the more Jimin’s brother had to step backwards to avoid being seen. That forced you to take a step back with him.
“I’ll have them complete by tonight,” she went on, continuing to walk deeper into the room, “don’t worry, they’ll cover everything we need.”
Jimin’s brother took another step backwards, but there was nowhere for you to accommodate him. He had backed you into a wall, causing you to feel rough, black bark against your back while his clothed back was pressing against your chest. You stood caged between him and the cavern wall, simmering in anger at the unexpected position. If you didn’t like having to listen to men, then being touched by one was something you loathed to your core.
But by then, thankfully, Ms. Kari had stopped walking further into the room, instead pausing in front of the large bookshelf.
“Alright, I’ll see you tomorrow then. Goodbye sir,” she said, before evidently hanging up.
After putting the phone away, she turned to the bookshelf, studying it intently.
“Hmmm, now where did I put it…?” She muttered.
You squirmed as Ms. Kari began searching through the bookshelves, clearly uncomfortable in your current position.
“Is it this one…?” She continued to mutter, picking up an old, brown textbook, “no… I need the whole layout, not just a section.”
Jimin’s brother frowned as he felt you moving behind him, wondering why you couldn’t just stay in one place. The more you moved, the more dangerous it was going to be for you. He blew out a quiet breath, itching to tell you to stop but unable to as Ms. Kari took a step closer to the partition.
You, on the other hand, had to force yourself not to shove him off of you. He had taken another step backwards as Ms. Kari took another oblivious step towards the partition, despite there being no space to do so. That left you even more squished against him.
It was driving you insane.
You refused to be in this position anymore. You had to get him off of you.
Jimin’s brother turned his head slightly, wondering if he could quietly step to the side a bit so you’d stop touching him.
But then he flinched as he felt your hands brush against his back.
You scowled as you felt him move against you once again.
Okay, that’s it, you both thought furiously.
“Stop touching me!” The two of you blew up at each other.
You froze, panic seeping into your mind as you realised just how screwed the two of you were now. Jimin’s brother was no different. His jaw hung open in shock before his head snapped to where Ms. Kari was.
“What on Earth-?” She muttered, turning around.
But before her gaze could land on either of you, Jimin’s brother instantly turned towards the partition and gave it a strong shove. You watched in horror as the solid partition toppled over, falling midair for not more than a second before it collapsed…
on Ms. Kari.
“Did you just push a whole partition on top of a professor?!” You whisper-yelled incredulously, your mouth hanging wide open in shock.
But Jimin’s brother simply turned to you after making sure Ms. Kari was down and hadn’t seen the two of you, “quite whining, we need to get out of here before she sees us.”
His gloved hand grabbed your wrist before dragging you alongside him as he ran up the stairs.
The two of you didn’t stop running until you had entered the residences, panting like crazy when he finally let your arm go. You and Jimin’s brother’s breaths filled the hallway for what felt like forever as you both desperately attempted to catch your breaths.
But once Jimin’s twin seemed to have achieved as much, he whirled to you in anger.
“What the hell was that?” He asked, rage laced in his tone and expression.
“Me?!” You said, indignant, “what did I do?”
“What did you do?! Next time you want to run your hands all over me, maybe try therapy instead?!”
“Oh that’s rich coming from the guy that had his entire body pressed against mine. You couldn’t have moved a little?! Clearly personal space is a subject needed for your next therapy session!”
Jimin’s brother scoffed, “that’s what I was trying to do, but guess who’s hands made it impossible?”
“Maybe next time I will let you touch me,” he snapped, “then we’ll see just how much you enjoy what happens to you, princess.”
You immediately grimaced, his words feeling like a swarm of spiders crawling up and down your body. There it was. There was one of those disgusting sexual comments that men seemed to love to throw around carelessly.
“You’re disgusting,” you said, putting as much of your repulsion as you could in your words before scoffing, “and I’m leaving.”
You stormed into an elevator, immediately slamming your fingers against the button to your room's floor before repeatedly pressing against the button that would close the elevator doors. You wanted him nowhere near you.
Jimin’s twin, on the other hand, stood for a moment, his expression a perfect picture of confusion as he stared at the now closed elevator doors.
Disgusting…? He thought, wondering why you had seemed so repulsed by the comment. It took him a second more to come to the realisation, his lips pressing into a straight line as he did.
She must not know.
His gaze dropped to the floor, the dim hallway reflecting his mood suddenly.
She must not know just how horrible my touch really is.

-
You flung the door of your dorm open, letting it slam shut behind you.
You couldn’t believe that bastard. Sure, this school was full of disgusting men like him that said stuff like that all the time, but still. How dare he talk to you that way?
You could feel the rage slither down your arms, making your hands shake. That kind of degradation always seemed to unlock a different kind of anger in you. One where you didn’t know whether you wanted to go back down there and make him beg for your forgiveness or go into a shower and aggressively scrub his words off your skin till it’s bright red and raw to the touch.
You should’ve made him pay for a comment like that when you were down there. But you were also very much aware that you needed to leave in case Ms. Kari was searching the halls for the two of you.
“Y/N!” A voice behind you suddenly called. You turned to find Jimin walking into the living room, a bright smile on his face.
“I’m so glad you’re okay! I came back and you weren’t here… I was about to call the principal.”
For a moment, all you could do was just stand and stare at his face. You knew they were twins, but… him and his brother looked exactly identical. If Jimin were to dye his hair and wear contacts, you wouldn’t doubt for a second that it was his brother standing before you.
What an unnerving thought.
“Why does it matter?” You finally asked, tearing yourself away from searching for some kind of non eye- or hair-related feature that could distinguish them apart. You were mildly aware that your anger from earlier was unintentionally seeping into your tone, “I can do whatever I want, whenever I want. You don’t own me.”
But Jimin just smiled, “of course, we’re all adults here. I just meant that I was worried, that’s all.”
His smiles and concerns only seemed to add to the frustration that was building up in your chest. On one hand you had a twin telling you innuendos while on the other hand you had one giving you fake worry. You were tired of it. Tired of this entire day altogether.
“I’m going to bed,” you announced, your tone suddenly soft from your exhaustion- both physically and mentally.
You made your way to your bedroom door and paused for a moment, facing Jimin who was still standing in the living room, “and don’t bother getting worried every time I come back a little late. I can handle myself, as I’m sure Namjoon told you.”
Finally, you turned around and walked into your room, but not before Jimin called from behind you.
“You’re my roommate, of course I’m going to worry about you!”
-

-
“You can’t be serious!”
You stared at Principal Park with a scowl, wishing your glare could burn right through him, but he ignored it easily, choosing instead to sit composedly at his desk as he gave you a calm and collected expression.
“I apologise Y/N, but even if I wished to I could not,” he explained slowly, as if you were some kind of wild animal that needed to be tamed. It made you want to wipe that calm expression off his meticulously kept face.
“All I’m asking for is to be put into a different cohort, any other cohort. I can’t be in classes full of men, it’s… not… healthy for a young woman like me,” you said, words laced with a hint of desperation, “if anyone can do it, it’s you. That’s why I’m here.”
“Y/N,” he said, tilting his head in sympathy, “you of all people should know how important it is that you are educated suitably. Your classmates and yourself must learn differently compared to the rest of the students in this school. The success of our future depends on it.”
You stared at him helplessly, a mixture of rage and hopelessness churning uncomfortably in your stomach.
“I understand that you wish to be in a cohort with individuals more similar to yourself, but in a way your current classmates are similar to you as well, don’t you think? You will be leading the future generations together after all. Perhaps this experience will prepare you for the relationships you will have with them once you take on your roles.”
“And besides,” he continued, as if you hadn’t already gotten the message loud and clear, “just because you are being placed into different cohorts, does not mean you are barred from befriending students in different cohorts. In fact, I encourage you to mingle with the other students of this academy.”
You watched Principal Park push himself into a standing position, giving you a bright smile that reminded you of Jimin’s, “now, I must attend a meeting at the moment. If you still wish to continue this conversation then we may schedule a meeting for another time, but I must reiterate that my answer will not change even then. Is that clear?”
Your jaw ticked as you chose to stay silent, knowing that saying what you really wanted to say to him would probably get you expelled. Instead, you levelled your tone before replying.
“Yes.”
“Good,” he nodded, “I hope you settle well here, your father and I are good friends. I genuinely do wish the best for you, Y/N.”
“Yes sir,” you forced out through gritted teeth.
Once you were dismissed, you turned around and left his office, immediately entering into the main hall with your arms crossed over your chest. You didn’t know if it was his head you wanted to bash into the wall or your own. That would still be less painful than the years of suffering you were about to spend in this academy.
You uncrossed your arms with a defeated sigh, choosing instead to shift your focus on the empty hall in front of you. It was too early for students to be wandering the area at this hour. Most were still in the dining hall eating breakfast and conversing with friends. Your conversation with Principal Park had effectively wiped your appetite, and you didn’t have any friends that you could hang out with anyway, so you let yourself enjoy the view of the Tree of Life instead.
There was something calming about looking at the Tree. You didn’t know whether it was an effect of the Life magic coursing through its branches or just the beauty of it in general. The sunlight flitted through the stained glass ceiling to fall on its soft petals, making them glow light colours of blues and pinks. Even its trunk was a proud chestnut, a stark contrast from all the dark mahogany scattered around the walls and ceiling of the hall.
You gravitated towards the towering structure in awe, choosing to settle onto the stone barrier encompassing its base. They’d made the barrier just perfect for students to sit on and relax, and you couldn’t help but feel that this was a better spot for relaxation than any library or dining hall in the academy.
But your reverie was interrupted when the double doors of the main hall suddenly burst open. Your gaze snapped to the doors to your left, watching them shake as the doors slammed against the wall behind them. From here you could see the dining hall containing a bunch of students all gasping and speaking frenziedly with each other in hushed tones.
The reason the doors had opened seemed to be a male student, who was stumbling into the main hall after shoving through the double doors weakly. You scanned him in surprise as he continued to stumble further into the hall until he tripped on his own feet and collapsed to his knees.
He looked like he had been beaten pretty badly as a bruise encompassed the right side of his jaw and a painful groan escaped his lips. You tried to figure out who he was, but you couldn’t seem to make out the entirety of his face.
You stood up abruptly, eyes widening at the scene before you in confusion.
What was going on?

you can be you
hey babes, long post ahead
i've felt for a long time since entering the LOA community that there's a lot of pressure on everyone who knows how to conciously manifest
it seems like after you grasp that YOU are the creator of your reality and that YOU can do literally anything you want, almost everyone expects us to want 'big' things
by big i mean mansions, resort trips, a sports car, a new phone, a celebrity SP, being a public figure, being a millionaire... this kind of life
and although there's nothing wrong with living like that, or wanting to live like that, it's perfectly fine if it's not your dream life
edward art says in one of his reddit posts (remind me to link it here later) that if you somehow aren't manifesting X thing, it might be because......... it's not what you actually want
you may have convinced yourself that you SHOULD want that thing, but deep down, you feel indifferent towards it. you don't think about it a lot, you don't imagine yourself being happy with the thing, you don't lie in bed daydreaming about it. and eventually you realize it might not be coming into the 3D
this has definitely happened to me before. i had spent MONTHS affirming and listening to subliminals for my ideal face, but i had little to no results in the material world, and i could not for the life of me figure out what i was doing wrong
you guessed it: i wasn't doing anything wrong. but social media LOA comms had eventually convinced me that kpop idols are the epitome of beauty, and that any east asian should be manifesting to be a carbon copy. i saw that, thought 'hm, alright' and proceeded to frustrate myself endlessly trying to manifest something i didn't even want. a year later, here i am, realizing i like my current face better than any idol's out there, and that's why i didn't get results
and it happened yet again regarding my college applications and entrance exams. because people on this hellsite are constantly encouraging others to go directly to the end, i thought 'ah, i should manifest that i've ALREADY passed, then. that i don't even need to take the exam'
so i did it, i affirmed, i meditated, yadda yadda, and made myself MISERABLE. bc apparently i like to study, and i'm excited to take the exam! doing this way might not be the most straightfoward way, but it's what i want. i *want* this experience
long ass post but the moral of the story is that: just bc you know about the law, it doesn't mean you put on a show about your desires. you don't need to manifest 10 billion dollars just to show an imaginary audience that you can. just to post it on tumblr. you don't need to manifest a mansion in LA just bc that is the type of success story that gets the most likes
you're allowed to still want a quiet, simple life, even if you're God. you're allowed to not care about new phones, new clothes, and instead manifest more crochet yarn, and that the weather's good everyday. you're allowed to be happy with yourself and not want to lose/gain weight, change your height, your eye color, or any other features. you're allowed to want to be a normal college kid, and not a victorias secrets angel. it's okay to be you

Note
You once mentioned that you manifested being a good student and changed past grade.i am trying to do the same thing. Throughout my life i have never been a good student. My teachers always say that i have potential. But as a lazy person i never put in any real effort. And now when i want to i realized that i don't even know how to actually study. But i got lucky with a few of my important exams and managed to get an A somehow. But now i want to be the best you know like who just is so good. But i just cannot change my awareness to that i tried to for a long time. And even if i do managed to change my inner self i always end up waiting for it or going back to the old story.can you help me please.
The first thing you have to understand is that you are not bound by the story of your past. Your experiences of being “lazy” or “not a good student” are nothing more than old assumptions you’ve repeatedly identified with. The truth is that you are free to create a new identity for yourself at any moment. The key is to occupy this new identity in imagination and persist in it until it feels natural. Ask yourself: Who am I in my ideal state? What does it feel like to be the best student? You have to create this version of yourself vividly in your imagination. Imagine scenarios where you embody the qualities of an excellent student. See yourself understanding complex material effortlessly, receiving praise from teachers, and feeling confident in your abilities. Most importantly, feel the satisfaction, pride, and joy that come with being this version of yourself. Here are some steps to help you fully embody this new state:
Rewrite Your Story. Let go of the old story entirely. Stop identifying as someone who doesn’t know how to study or who waits for external proof to believe in change. Instead, affirm: “I am the best student. Learning comes naturally to me. I excel effortlessly in every subject.” Feel it as true every time you say it.
Live in the End. In imagination, go to the end result where you already are an excellent student. For example, imagine yourself receiving top grades, confidently answering questions in class, or being admired by peers and teachers. Make this a daily practice, and persist in it no matter what your current reality looks like.
Let Go of “Waiting” The moment you find yourself “waiting” for results or checking the 3D to see if you’ve changed, you’ve returned to the old state. Remind yourself that creation happens in the 4D. If you truly feel you are an excellent student, you won’t wait for external validation. Trust that the outer world will catch up in its own time.
Bridge of Incidents. Understand that the outer world will rearrange itself to reflect your new identity, often in unexpected ways. You might stumble upon effective study techniques, feel more energized to learn, or find teachers who inspire you. Trust the process and let it unfold naturally.
Persist Through Doubt. Doubt is natural, but you have to learn to persist despite it. When you find yourself slipping back into the old story, gently redirect your thoughts to the new one. Remind yourself: “That old story is not me anymore. I am the best student now.” Persist until the new identity feels as natural as breathing.
Remember: The change begins within. You don’t need to “figure out” how to study or improve overnight. All you need to do is assume the feeling of already being the student you want to be. The actions, habits, and opportunities that align with this new state will flow naturally from your assumption. Faith and persistence are the keys. Persist, and you cannot fail.

Give back to the community! Studyblr helped me discover countless useful tips and tricks, as well as cool blogs that motivate me! I want to share my experiences in my own little corner of the internet for people to find.
Goals:
find a way to study sustainably, without burning out every other week
get my goal grades on exams and reports
figure out what I want to do in the future (mainly deciding on what I want to study in university)
genuinely enjoy my life as a teenager, and not “sit locked in my basement all day” - as my friend put it after seeing my grades lol
What to expect:
This blog is both a journal and archive for my academic journey, a diary of sorts. There will be everything and anything related to school (mostly tracking my progress), but also just my life. All photos are mine, except said otherwise.

Hello, can I please get a free reading?
I would like to know how my upcoming exams would go like ? And how will my parents react to the result
I am ishaana(id) Libra
Thank u 💗💗
hii, i hope this reading finds you in good health. before you get to your reading, remember that tarot cards provide answers and insights based on your current energies, thoughts and actions and they do not predict the future in a fixed way. energies can also influence the outcome of the mesage so take what resonates!! take care and wishing you the best 💕
˚ ✦ . .   ˚ . . ✦
first off, it seems like you are a very creative person and you might have different/creative ways to study too. but right now, im getting a sense that you are distracted. you might also feel like you are not making any progress and hence you are stuck at one place. your exams look like they will go well but it seems like you will not be satisfied with your results. you might blame things that had distracted you instead of realizing that you had the power in your hands to control your outcome. im picking up on 'fish' here. you might eat fish before your exam and this is a sense of good luck or if you dont eat meat, fishes are a good luck for you if you see them (when its close to your exams). also, purple color would be an attraction of good luck for you. im getting the word 'purple' over and over again.
as to how your parents would react, im seeing that they will be satisfied with your results actually. they will react calmy and they seem understanding. but on the outside, they might be harsh and might look displeased but its just a 'mask' that they are wearing. they are only being like this so that you can better yourself.

Help, I am a new student and have no clue what to do with so much reading: a guide
Hi, I'm a master student currently and I do a major that is pretty heavy on the reading for all the courses. I have developed a system that works for me and helps me manage the course work - which can be quite overwhelming at first - so I thought I'd share in case anyone else will find it useful :D
Okay, so, before your classes even start, you're going to look at the syllabus! This is important, because usually the reading will be in there and you get a feel for how much it is. However, more importantly, you're going to figure out if there is an exam or a paper as final. This will impact how you're going to read.
If there is reading for the first class, get prepared to do that reading. I know reading can suck, but doing the reading will save time. It's all fun to have the college fucked up sleep schedule and I get that you want the experience, but that shit isn't funny for 4 years straight and by keeping up, you will save yourself all nighters during the exam period. At some point, you will start to appreciate it, I promise.
Most classes will have a consistent amount of reading each week. This is good. You will start to figure out how long it takes you to read an article and thus how much time each class will take. Create a pattern for yourself. For me, I like to schedule it per weekday, like on Mondays I do readings for this course, on Tuesday for this course and on Wednessday I won't do reading, so I can plan social activities then. This will help stay on top of things without being a hermit with no time for a social and your hobbies.
I would reccomend making a file for each course and labeling your reading with the number of the week first and then the title, so you can find them easily when you need them. I also reccomend getting a seperate notebook for each subject. If you loose notebooks easily, use your computer or have one big notebook with tabs.
If the class has an exam at the end:
I find that if you have an exam, highlighting is the most productive way to do the reading. You do the reading before class, and highlight all the important parts. Not everyone is great at knowing what to highlight, so my guide is to have max one highlight per paragraph and minimally one per subheading, often the important parts are at the start and end.
. Then you're going to take notes in class, this is important. You have done the reading, so your brain will make easier connections and by writing it down (physical notebook is reccomended if you are able) you will fill in what is being talked about easier. This will also be the second time you take the subject to yourself and in three ways; reading, hearing, writing.
. After doing that every week, the exam will come closer. You're going to take the highlighted reading and flip through it while typing all the highlighted parts in a document. This way you'll see everything again in context and you're actively seeing it, instead of passively. And at the end you have a summery of the course you can study. Personally, I have a pretty good memory so retyping is all the studying I have to do when using this method.
If the class has a paper at the end:
I find that if you have a paper at the end, making notes is the most productive way to do the reading. I like making them on paper, bc it'll make it easier to flip through later, but computer also works with ctrl+f. Again doing the reading before class is reccomended, so you can ask questions about it and take notes on what the lecturer says about the reading to get a feel for kind of interpretation that will be expected of you in the paper.
. How you take the notes is the important part, at the top you write down the authors (et al. if there are a lot), the publishing year, and the title. Then right underneath you write the point the paper is making, this can be found in the abstract or in the conclusion, if that isn't there.
. Then you start actually reading the paper, while taking notes. I reccomend 1 A4 page for articles under 20 pages. But don't make it a hard rule, the harder you find a paper, the more notes you should take. You take notes on the kind of arguments the paper makes, suggestions that are done, counterpoints, and nuances that are given. Make them bulletpoints so you can easily skim them later.
. What you have done by doing this is created a basic understanding of the topic and created a referencing system for yourself. When writing your essay you already know what kind of topic to write about (see which topics you gravitated to during the course) and you can easily find the relevant reading by quickly scanning the titles and first part you wrote down. When you find the right article you don't have to re-read it to get all the important parts and you have everything for in text referencing right at the top (in APA at least).
I understand that this won't work for everyone, but I have perfected my studying system over the years (and I'm pretty proud of it), so I am sharing it for those who can use it. I know a lot of people struggle with figuring out how to start and they kind of throw you in the deep end without help when you get to college. So this is to give those who are overwhelmed a little start :D
If you are a new student, I wish you so much luck and fun! <3

Hi everyone, my name is Christian and I am back to writing fanfiction about the stories I grew up with to cope with life. At the moment I'm mainly writing in the PJO fandom but I also love Heartstopper, AGGGTM, Bridgerton, etc. so you'll probably see a bit of that too. I also *might* post some pieces of the original novel I'm writing if that's something that people would be interested in.
If you have ideas or questions for me, feel free to send me an ask!
Here is a link to my AO3 and a list of all of my current works:
Works in Progress
we're not brave, we're not soldiers (PJO wip, first in series)
The battle of Manhattan was mostly a blood stained blur but Will would never forget the sight of his brother’s body falling along with that bridge.
Follow along with this set of one shots as Percy and Will navigate the pain and trauma of being child soldiers and grow to form an unlikely friendship.
i always wish I had more to give (PJO wip, wnbwns series)
Will's life has changed drastically over the years, but there is one thing that remains constant: he always wishes he could do more, that he was more.
An exploration of Will Solace as a character and his relationship with his friends and siblings. A companion piece to we're not brave, we're not soldiers, but it can also stand on its own
you will heal and you'll rise above (PJO wip, wnbwns series)
Nico is used to handling everything alone. Sure he's suffering, but what else is new?
Until a certain healer comes along and shows him that he can both heal and heal others.
A companion piece to 'we're not brave, we're not soldiers' but this can be read on its own.

'Can you find him before the clock runs out?' She only stopped running when she realized she was about to step on something that had been dropped in the street. She bent down and picked up a set of headphones with an AGGGTM sticker on the side. The headphones were scrapped and there was a small bit of blood on the inside.
Pip didn’t even realize that she had fallen to her knees, couldn’t feel the way the asphalt dug in and cut her skin through her jeans. All she could process was an endless stream of 'he’s gone,' running through her head. --- OR: what is Ravi was taken by the DT killer in AGAD instead of Pip?

You Deserve It (And So Do You) - (Tangled, multi-chapter, complete)
Eugene could never stand to see someone else in pain, especially as a child, and there was so much pain to be had in the orphanage. So if there was anything that he could do to prevent it, any way he could take it, he would. Because none of those kids deserved it.
It hurt, it always hurt, but it was worth it.
-- This is Eugene's story, of accepting the love he thought he deserved and (finally) finding the courage to accept the love he deserved all along.

Between classes, studying for his entrance exams, and taking on quests for recommendation letters, Percy Jackson is exhausted. But when a god calls, even one as kind as Lady Hestia, you answer. -- Lady Hestia gives Percy his final quest. Based off of a head cannon post from @demigods-posts
Sally Jackson's son (one shot, complete)
Everyone who has ever met Percy Jackson - God, demigod, and mortal alike - knew that there were two people they could never touch if they didn’t want to face his wrath.
Annabeth Chase and Sally Jackson.

A epidemic of flu at Camp Halfblood reveals that Nico di Angelo hasn't had any modern vaccinations. His doctor boyfriend can't let that slide, but will Nico be able to overcome his fear of needles and get his vaccines?

Someone to Fall Back On (one shot, complete)
But that was the thing, everything was okay. For the first time in years, he truly knew that he was safe. Everything was going well - somehow he had graduated high school and he was set to head off to college with the love of his life. So why did it feel like someone was ripping his heart out? Probably because he was leaving a piece of it in New York with his family.
A part of the PJO Equinox-Solstice exchange. Unfortunately not my favorite, but some people enjoyed it so i'll list it here.

Weekly Goals Update: (Sept. 30th - Oct. 4th)
Hi, everyone!
Hope all is well! I currently have a bit of downtime at my second job, so I thought I'd write my week goals update post! So, as always, for this post, I'll go back and look at my goals for the week and determine which goals I was successful at and which I was... not so much
Overall, this week felt very productive. I managed to go to the gym every day, and I attended all of my classes. I only have one assignment left, my physics exam, which I'll be doing tonight.
Anyway, let's start with the recap!
My Academic Goals:
study for ochem 2
complete biology essay
complete English essay
watch English lectures
complete Physics homework and test
Physics lab quiz
It was a good week for me, academically. I completed all of these assignments, minus the Physics exam which will be completed later today. I plan on taking the weekend to finish some of those English lectures and to study for my next ochem exam.
My Fitness Goals:
4 days weightlifting
cardio every day (at least 30 minutes)
Attend cycling class
Once again, it was a really good week for me, fitness wise. I went to the gym 5 times this week instead of 4. I also did a cycling class, which I've grown to love, and my cardio has been great. I've seen a lot of improvement in my weightlifting, though my biceps are still my biggest struggle/enemy.
My Nutrition Goals:
try to eat out less
Prioritize fiber and protein
Once again, I completely failed at protein and fiber. :/ I am planning on heading straight to Sam's Club tomorrow to find myself some good protein items for my lunches. I did succeed in eating out less than usual, however.
Overall, it was a pretty good week. There could be some improvements, as there always can be, but I am really pleased with what I've accomplished this week.
I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!
Thanks for reading,
-C

My first year as a sociology student
social psychology: 31/30, 8 CFU
This is the first exam I took, I studied a textbook on social psychology, a book about traditional masculinity, and then wrote and essay in which I had to apply the things I learned from the class on a current topic with another student (we did this by applying the theories on traditional masculinity to Adrew Tate). The essay gave me the bonus point thanks to which I was able to get the honours. I loved this classe and was very proud about my preparation for this exam.
sociology institutions: 28/30, 12 CFU
This class was about the basics of sociology, we just had a simple textbook to study, we did some debate in class in which we engaged with different kinds of articles but it wasn't graded. I hated the teacher and didn't organize well for the exam, but 28 is still a VERY high grade. I was surely prepared enough, but it was my least favourite class.
history of sociological theory: 23/30, 12 CFU
I LOVED this teacher and this class, I prepared well for this exam (one textbook). I really enjoyed to engage with all of the different approaches people had through the history of the discipline and the way they disagreed with one another, it was almost like studing philosphy. Unfurtunately the professor was very demanding and I just got a 23 (I'm ok with it).
law and society: 30/30, 6 CFU
This was basically a public law class about Italy and the EU which focused a bit more on how and why the laws are made and compared different european constitutions. I thought I would have hated it, instead I loved it. We had one textbook assigned but I was able to rely just on my notes. Very nice professor too.
accademic writing: passed, 2 CFU
A seminar in which they teached us how to write at an accademic level (since in Italy is not very common to assign essays and papers to bachelor students but you have to write an extensive thesis to graduate, and they realized no one never teaches us how to). We excercized to structure a sociological paper and then wrote it and submitted. I passed but there was no grade. Very useful.
methodology of sociology: ??, 8 CFU
This is the exam I was preparing this august while I was doing the study challenge. The reading consisted in a textbook and 10 articles we had to analize. I went to take this exam on september 5th, kind of confident in my preparation, and realized I didn't study a part of the material because I didn't know it was assigned. I learned the lesson and will always double, triple check the material assigned BEFORE organizing the study, I was also very unlucky because on the previous dates of the exam there weren't question about this topic and a lot of other students didn't expect to find it in the questions. Anyway, I withdrew and will take it again this semester.
contemporary history: ??, 8 CFU
I simply gave up on this exam because I couldn't study for two while working full time. Will take it next semester.
So... this is who I am. My results are above average, but I'm not an academic weapon.
To take one or two exams of the first year on the second year is not at all an issue. But it makes the second year more difficult obviously.
I was not a good student in high school, so when I started university I was motivated, but didn't know how to actually study and organize, this year was a learning process, and after this summer I know I am stronger, more consistent, more motivated and conscious than I ever been.
I will do my absolute best form the start this year, and I will catch up.

So I know someone asked this before, but I also want to know what your opinion is on psychic readings?
I’m starting to have feelings for this guy, and I admit I’ve been getting a bunch of readings on Etsy as a “test” to see who is more accurate.
I asked “how does ____ feel about me? What will happen between me and him?” To a few readers
Each gave a someone different answer.
One being: “He likes you! But he only sees you as a good looking girl to hang out with! He enjoys surrounding himself with ladies! So there’s no true romantic attraction there right now. I see he is more focused on the way you look and he thinks you’re very attractive and cute.”
One was “Your friendship will grow but things will likely just stay friendly and professional. He is not sure of himself right now and he is not experienced with people. Your lives are very different for things to come together. This is not what you’d like to know but I think you two will be great friends.”
Another was “I sense he already as a bit of a crush on you. He is not the type to tell you how he feels but I sense he does like you a lot. He tends to hide his emotions but he has a very good feeling towards you. He will not reveal anything until you express your feelings to him indirectly or directly to him.”
Then one more was: “I sense he already has romantic feelings for you but he is focused on the fact that the conversations flow well and he has never had that with anyone before. You’ll be surprised at how emotionally mature he is, supportive and understanding he is and this gives you the idea for a potential relationship. There will be confirmation on his feelings for you in a few months.”
So now I’m both weirded out and confused. 🤔
helllllllllllooooooo!!! ooh these were fun to read! :D I noticed some common themes between what you've been told, hoNestly I am a strong believer that psychic readings and what not are definitely another good way to measure your current thoughts or what's currently going on, but it's always important to remember that these readings are never permanent unless you decide to accept them as permanent in your mind.
(once heard a story about a man who went to get a reading and the person told them he was gonna die from a heart attack or something, he accepted it as true despite being perfectly healthy, went back home to set up a will and stuff, and guess whAT? he died a couple months later!!! which could have been prevented if he didn't take the readin' as permanent or if he was a skeptic)
if ya don't like what the readings are sayin', all ya gotta do is say 'fuck that. my sp wants me right now and is gonna confess to me at some point," etc' whatever you want to be true. i would recommend usin' psychic readings or any kinda spiritual reading with an open mind and the idea that it doesn't have to be a permanent message in your life but instead just a guide on what ya might need to make adjustments for.
kinda like when ya do an exam where ya think ya did really good on it, you get it back, notice that some of the answers you thought were completely correct were actually incorrect, and then you take those answers that were incorrect, study them a bit, and then come up the right answers needed so ya can have better luck on the retake of that exam— hopefully that makes sense

hey yall so i have been very stressed out about school stuff which does tend to lead to autoimmune problems for me, and i thought i was off the hook this time around because i have had such good fortune with my current treatment BUT instead of a UC flare i got uveitis in my eye :') and have been very light sensitive for about a week so i've hardly been on here. my priorities right now are studying, of course, and then also catching up on paid stuff here. there might be delays with horoscopes and if so i will let you know, and there might also be EVEN LONGER wait times on getting your asks answered.... sorry 'bout that but you know, i gotta prioritize.
eye still hurts but it's better today than it has been so i am working on various things a bit. i can't see an ophthalmologist for THREE WEEKS so there is even a possibility i will miss the qualifying exam this was all triggered by in the first place lol.
anyway things will speed up by september either way~ and i am still here queuing things intermittently meanwhile.

« 5 minutes of work is better than 0 »
Bullshit. That’s what I used to think. Another « inspirational » and « motivational » quote that doesn’t mean anything and won’t help me.
I was so wrong.
This quote is the truest thing ever.
I am a huge procrastinator. Like a huge one. I never and I mean never do any work in advance, I’m always on a rush, finishing assignments the night before and all those types of things that procrastinators experience everyday. I just can’t bring myself to take the time to actually do things when I know I can do it later.
But then I thought about this quote and decided to apply it to my life for a bit, just to see.
I am currently revising for my final exams in psychology. Or at least I am supposed to do so.
So now, every time I have five minutes of doing nothing and my first thought is to go on my phone or do something useless, I think of this quote and I revise. Even if it’s just for five minutes. Even if I only read one sentence or write five words. It’s one sentence I wouldn’t have read if I got on my phone, it’s five words I wouldn’t have written if I decided that those five minutes weren’t enough to do something.
And it might seem like it’s purposeless, like writing five words or reading one sentence won’t help me to succeed at my exams. But think of every five minutes of nothing you have in your day. Think of every time you scroll on your phone or stare in the void of your roof thinking about the meaning of life. If you write five words during all those little moments instead of doing nothing, in the end, you’ll have a thousand words written down and won’t feel shitty about yourself for procrastinating.
At first, it’s hard to discipline yourself, but when you really think about it and actually look to the long term and it becomes way easier.
For example, I finished eating earlier with my family today and I usually get on tik tok for a bit before getting ready to go to bed. Instead of going on my phone, I thought « I have a little more time than I usually do, let’s finish the biology page I started earlier today, it will be better than having done nothing and I won’t feel guilty for scrolling on my phone after ». So I did. I finished my page and I found myself in a good « study mood » after doing so, so I kept going, and in the end, I finished my whole chapter in 20 minutes.
That’s a page I wouldn’t have finished if I got on tik tok right away instead of taking five minutes to invest in myself, my studies and my future. That’s a chapter I wouldn’t have finished if I didn’t find the motivation after finishing the first page.
The end of procrastination is just a matter of five minutes. And then five others. And five others. And so on until one day, you realise you aren’t in a rush anymore. Your assignments are finished, your revisions are done on time. And you have become a better self because you prioritised yourself and your future, for five minutes.
