Belle is Mayor and Rumple is Weaver (also Regina as Roni because Roni)

Belle absorbed the Dark One power to save Rumple from himself, but his cursed self doesn’t remember any of that (and still thinking he’s the all powerful dark one)

Belle helps Drizella/Ivy cast a Dark Curse so Rumple can find his son and have his happy ending

After some thought, I've decided to change the themes of the weeks for this year. The new revised themes are as follows:

A minute or two later, Alice slid the bag with the beignet and croissant over the counter to Robin, then the cup with her tea.  Robin picked it up without paying much attention, then did a double take.

“Nobin,” she read, turning a confused look at Alice.

“Did I spell it wrong?” Alice asked, peering at the cup anxiously.

And Robin was going tell her yes, that she had of course spelled her name wrong, because who was named Nobin - but then Alice turned her big blue eyes filled with worry up at Robin and she found herself saying, “No, no you didn’t.  It's perfect.”

When Robin meets a cute girl who works at a café near her apartment, she can't quite bring herself to correct her when she gets her name wrong on her order. But it she doesn't figure how to correct her eventually, she'll never be able to ask Alice out - and she'll be 'Nobin' forever.

Alice Jones

If you haven't noticed already, Alice Jones is my top tier blorbo and before her, I didn't think I would ever fall for a character more than Killian Jones. Turns out his pirate daughter from the Wish Realm was the kicker 😍 Whenever she is involved or appears on screen, I'm a blubbering mess of sounds, sometimes wailing "You can't do this to me! How are you so-? AAAAAH, I can't even!" I can't get enough of her and wish we got more time with her. Seriously, Alice is a treasure trove that I would gladly dissect under a microscope. Of course, she goes through so much angst. Like there's a whole bucket of items, whether through abandonment, isolation, loss of a loved one (can't be in contact with her father, loses Robin w the curse, says goodbye to the Troll) and childhood home, social rejection, economic struggles, betrayal, broken promises, memory loss, mental illness, and a loving but unusual upbringing. I'm sure anyone who goes through any of this would need therapy or owe it to themselves to be allowed to heal. But, I love how she isn't defined by her experiences and is irrevocably true to herself. We see this from how she hates being called "Alice from Wonderland" as it's THE one trip that she's known for (filled with a bag of emotions and experiences she won't linger on) and says goodbye to her past self she bottled up nicknamed "Tower Girl", but remains content as Alice, continuously growing and facing what scares her. She takes it all with an enthusiastic "been there, done that" and rolling with the punches kind of attitude. Alice is so strong that it makes me want her to be allowed happiness! I want to protect her from the writers that keep putting her in angsty situations left and right, but at the same time, it hurts so good and she gets comforted often enough that I'm glad it's filled with angst. In other words, hurt her and you bet I'd get involved, guns blazing!

I got to give it up to Rose's acting because I'm not sure if anyone else could have played this character with as much emotional range, i.e. one moment making you think Alice is not right in the head to smack dab relatable in terms of emotions and basic needs that you just want to cry or be happy with her. I think this is the only character I'd label as "Insane" with tons of sparkles and affection as, from first glance, it's easy to ignore and label her as such *coughs and stares at certain toxic fandom people*. However, she's the most sarcastic, fun loving, wholesome ray of sunshine if you give her a chance and just listen. I'd take the insane bit as she may think, speak, and do things differently from the "norm", but there's more complexity and humanity than meets the eye.

Lastly, I want to address the "Mommy Issues". No way, no how is Gothel mother material and she made up a bunch of excuses and threats when it came to claiming mothership (ewww). However, I died at the thought of Tilly/Alice expressing her frustration of being abandoned by her mother, going up to Rogers (a friend/roommate that feels like a dad) and asking him the what ifs, and ultimately wanting "a mum to tuck me into bed" type. I sob at the thought of how she's grown, managed to survive in the world without a mom that everyone typically has as a nurturer and role model, yet still has the want of every child to be loved and cared for by parents known or unknown. Alice deserves the world and I'm so glad she gets that from everyone else that sees her beautiful soul. I think the rest of the bingo requires no explanation as there's nothing like a blorbo in making you want to see them get hurt and then protected, loved, and embraced like they deserve. Overall, she's a pwecious widdle bubububububbb that has two protective dads, a badass and modern day wifey, a laugh until your stomach hurts mum in-law, and I'm pretty sure everyone wants to adopt and support her.

Robin Mills

Robin Mills, a rebellious and competitive teenager who grows into a courageous and adventurous soft bean and archer who wants to find her place and identity in the world, even if she has to stumble as a mean girl or in her dad's footsteps as Robin Hood before she embraces herself. I put her down in both "Daddy and Mommy Issues" bc I think Robin was so often in the shadows of both her parents, less from themselves but rather Zelena being super protective (understandable since villains kept popping up s1-6 in Storybrooke) and what the close minded people and children of Storybrooke believe happened and will. I think she self imposed upon herself of who she should be since in Storybrooke, "everyone knows everyone" and she didn't want to be seen as weak or be bullied.

Might be diving into some meta or angsty headcanon here, but I wouldn't be surprised if Robin was bullied for not having a dad, living in a farmhouse/cabin on the outskirts of town, or having a mum that used to be a wicked villain but clearly isn't anything without magic, because children can be crass or cruel sometimes, especially when most of them grew up from fairytale heroes and villagers. I think it was easier for Robin to hide behind walls and snarkiness, so that no one could get close enough to understand her. She didn't even know herself, but she tried to the moment what worked for her parents didn't exactly work the same for her. I think there were so many avenues and things Once Upon A Time didn't get to explore with her that would make it easy to say a ten hour speech, hence the half circle and why are they like this? However, if we are talking headcanons and creating details from the small pieces we got, I'm ready to join the discussion. :D

Honestly, Robin needs therapy too from the internal struggles and anxiety she must have had from always wearing a mask and fighting against everything because she didn't know what else she'd have to protect herself from. Heck, if anyone were in her shoes, it's understandable why Robin would run away from her problems and make impulsive decisions (diving headfirst into becoming Gothel's pupil, Robin Hood (female version), staying in NEF or Thailand) rather than face the problems and ultimately, herself. That requires a lot of courage and acceptance that it's okay to not know the answers, break down and cry, and being open to trusting others for support.

In any case, I will fall into the line of defense should anyone come close to hurting them, Robin probably retaliating that she can take care of herself even when it's clear that she's cut up and bruised, barely able to draw the tension needed to release her arrow. 👀Would she make a good whumpee? Add that to the box of I torture them bc I love them. Oof, she would probably hide her embarrassment from being loved or cared for by pretending she hates it or doesn't care for it. Even if I was her friend, I could imagine hugging her and her reaction being a punch out of muscle memory or the cute kind of shoulder/back punch like how dare you?! (affectionate). Overall, Robin is a precious archer who deserves happiness, has a flirty and too nice for her own good wife, a well minding yet embarrassingly silly mom, a doteful father in-law, and a charming cousin with too many extended family members to count.

Not exactly what you are talking about but this reminded me of Simon Stålenhag’s work. He has several art books out, all depicting slow, quiet apocalypses wherein the people living them don’t even seem to notice, care, or find their experiences particularly noteworthy. This, despite the giant monsters crawling the area or robots overshadowing their houses or dinosaurs coming out of mechanical eggs or physical defining phenomena happening around them. And for the most part the people are just going about their lives.

Highlights?

I guess the thing about Godzilla is that it represents a massive national trauma which eviscerated nature and the human soul, but the USA versions fall somewhere on the spectrum between "vaguely about 9/11 or recent natural disaster" and "giant monster smashy smash." I think that stems from trying to conceptualize Godzilla as representing a particular and isolated instance of disaster and translate that into something of a similar nature in the USA.

But the real deep down soul death and national trauma in the USA isn't anything recent, you can't point out something uniquely bad like an atomic bomb. Really the kaiju for the USA needs to be symbolic of how this whole place is an infinite recursive system of devouring its population, starting from colonization and going right up through to the present day. The crucial difference is that if a kaiju was to represent the deep, unhealed, and still bleeding scar at the heart of the nation, it has to by definition be some ancient dead thing which rises on the anguish of everyone consumed in the name of this country and burns it into the ground. There's not an easy way to make a USAmerican kaiju because the only way to do so accurately means the kaiju has to be the protagonist, and ultimately has to show how much the people in the USA are unified when the hyperwealthy and our government are destroyed.

So, here's the thing. You wanna say Avalance is the better ship, I will not only not argue with you, I will agree with you. They have more development, more great moments, and I adore Ava Sharpe. But Nysara is always going to be the one for me. Nyssa the heartbroken lesbian is always going to be one hell of an image to me.

Catradora

I have some issues with this one that I might get into later, but I also think they're two of the best characters in animation in the past decade, and seeing them together can't help but feel powerful. 


Scorpia/Perfuma

My only issue with this one is we didn’t get to see more of them

I actually wish Booksmart had been a series so we could have gotten a proper slowburn between these two. Doesn't mean I didn't near swoon when they kissed. An all time great high school ship.

I bailed on OUAT before these two showed up, but I've watched every scene they were in, and it just makes me wish they'd somehow brought them in 3 seasons earlier. 15 minutes or so worth of screen time after 7 seasons isn't nearly enough, but it’s certainly something. And they’re so effing cute.

This is a show I know I'd enjoy if I gave it a shot, but I just haven't sat down to yet, and now I've spoiled most of the final season for myself because I couldn't help but watch everything to do with these two.

I’ve come to have pretty mixed feelings about rooting for cops, but I’ll always think these two had one of the healthiest and most engaging sitcom relationships.

An adorable couple on and off screen that didn’t get enough time. These two getting such a raw deal is one of the things that’s zapped my enthusiasm from LOT

Guilty Pleasures

Choni

They fall short of being in my also greats for a couple reasons. One, I'm just   But the main one is the treatment of Toni as a character. She has no life outside of Cheryl, something the actress is made known she is not ok with, and using an actress of color to be a prop for a white girls story is something that needs to END.All that said....they're really fucking adorable, and I have a soft spot for "Ice Queen who shows a soft spot to her girlfriend".

Ruby Slippers

This falls under guilty pleasure for the simple fact that it's rushed and doen't justify the buildup. It was supposed to be Mulan and Ruby, and everybody knows it, but instead we got rush job of a love story to throw a bone to the queer following.

That said....I kind of adore them. Maybe it hit me at a moment when i just needed something, maybe it's cause Ruby was always my favorite OUAT character, or maybe it's just cause Meghan Ory acted the hell out this episode, really selling that she's suddenly totally in love with a girl she's known for 3 minutes. It worked on me....but no one tell Disney. They're not allowed to feel good about this.

Madarcher pregnancy fic

Although they were now in the United Realm, and had been for a number of years, Alice and Robin still inhabited the little cabin in the woods that Alice, and later both girls, had called home in the enchanted forest 2.0. It was now magically connected to Storybrooke’s water, electric and sewer systems and was located just outside of town in a beautiful forested clearing. Alice sat on the front porch painting the surroundings with Robin cuddled beside her, nose in a book when a family of Canadian geese waddled in to disrupt their domestic tranquility. Their chorus of honks made it hard for Robin to focus on reading and she quickly moved inside to escape annoyance. Alice, on the other hand, wasn’t bothered by the geese and happily started adding them to her nearly complete painting. As she studied the creatures so she could replicate their details she couldn’t help but smile at the little family unit. They walked in a single file line one parent at the front and one at the back with six downy goslings in between. This got Alice thinking of her own family. 

Both her and Robin were only children of single parents, she had no idea what it would be like to grow up in a family that looked like the one she was watching, with two parents and a bunch of siblings. It sure looked like fun, the goslings had now broken formation and were chasing each other around as their parents honked at them to get back in line. Alice hoped that someday her kids could grow up like that, free to run and play where ever they wanted and they would always have each other so they would never be lonely. Then she started to imagine it.

 Instead of seeing the geese she was seeing her future: herself and Robin laughing as they chased their shrieking children around the yard. She imagined going on adventures all together with one kid on Robin’s shoulders another in between them grasping their hands and asking to be swung, again and again and again, and a third just a head of them giggling and  jumping in every mud puddle they passed. One big happy family. She was pulled from her vivid daydream by a scream followed by a crash as the front door flew open to reveal Robin, whose face was contorted with panic.

“Alice, somethings wrong. What’s going on.”

“What do you mean, What’s-oh!” Alice stopped as her eyes fell on Robin’s hand placed gently on her abdomen which had grown considerably since she went inside five minutes ago.

“I’m so sorry, I think this is all my fault,” Alice continued gesturing at Robin’s stomach “I was thinking about our kids, like in the future what it would be like if we had our own family, and my magic must have, you know, I still don’t know how exactly it works or how to control it all the time, oh I’m so sorry, I didn’t mean too, it was an accident, maybe I can fix it, if my magic caused it I’m sure it can reverse it, right, wait, why are you laughing?”

While Alice was rambling Robin had taken a seat beside her and was now laughing hysterically.

“Mostly I’m just relieved,” Robin admitted. “It’s not another evil curse or big bad that we have to defeat, it’s just you and your beautiful, powerful magic,” she added planting a soft kiss on Alice’s temple. “Plus, the first thing my mom said when I told her I was gay was that at least I wouldn’t have to worry about unexpected pregnancies, clearly she was wrong. What got you thinking about kids anyway?”

Alice pointed at the geese, “Neither of us had a big family growing up. I was thinking it would be nice if our kids did. Like them.”

“Wait, how many kids were you imagining us having, Alice?” Panic returned to Robins face as she counted the six goslings then looked down at her stomach praying there weren’t that many inside her.

“Just three,” Alice replied. Then seeing Robins eyes flicker between the goslings and her stomach added “but they weren’t the same age.” Robin let out the breath she was holding and grabbed Alice’s hand.

“Good, just one baby, we can definitely handle that.”

“Wait, really, you want to!” Alice said excitedly as her face lit up.

“I would love nothing more,” Robin replied leaning in to kiss her love. “Plus both of our gestations were sped up by magic it seems only right the same be true for our kid. By the looks of it I get to skip morning sickness but still have at least a few months to prepare before the baby comes. What do you think?” Robin asked lifting up her shirt to reveal her pregnant stomach.

“I think this going to be our best adventure yet!” Alice replied placing her hand on Robin’s stomach and her head on her shoulder.

“It sure will be,” said Robin and with that they both felt the baby kick as if it were agreeing, too.

Home realm: Wish Enchanted Forest

Background: Alice was raised by her papa (Captain Hook) in a magical tower trapped from the outside world since the day she was born.  Around age 10, her papa was taken from her by a curse of the heart meant to separate True Love. They could no longer be near each other and so for the next 6 years, Alice was alone in her tower with only her toys and books as company. Her papa would bring her gifts but they could never be what they once were. At 16, Alice came into her magic inherited by her evil witch mother who had trapped her and cursed her papa. She made a birthday wish to be free of the tower; the same wish she made every year. Only this time, she was freed. From that day on,, Alice had to learn to survive on her own without the magic of her tower and try to find a cure for her papa’s heart so they could once again be together. She can travel the realms freely with her magic opening portals; tho her magic is uncontrolled she never knows where the portals will take her. Most times, she can pick her destination such as Wonderland or Storybrooke or even Wish Enchanted Forest.  But there are times she ends up somewhere completely new and exotic.

Headcanons:

*Alice is not an IQ Genius… but she is very intelligent. Alice is an adult with a child’s view of the world. She is intelligent, strong and can fight like a pirate because she has fought in battles before in various realms and was trained magically by Rumpelstiltskin. The little girl routine is an act she prefers because it gives her a chance to be just that… a little girl. She lost that and she’s getting a second chance with family. Alice can fully act like an adult. She can snap her fingers and be 100% an adult if needed. Hardened by the world she grew up in and the things she’s seen and witnessed and the knowledge she has of all the realms has matured Alice greatly. But I’m sure Rogers and Robyn would commit murder if they found out someone caused the change in Alice.

*Alice is also very powerful. She could probably wave her hand and just send her opponent across town in a blink. Or hell just turn them into a tree downtown. She’s half Nymph which means she has those powers, and the extra powers being The Guardian gave her, and whatever Rumpelstiltskin taught her once he gave up his quest to lose the knife. He imparted lots of knowledge on her. But she only uses it when absolutely necessary; the rebellion, to defeat Gothel, if her family is in danger, etc. But Alice wants to be Alice of Wonderland and Other Places. So she only uses her realm hopping ability for good and chooses to act childlike.

*She may or may not realize she helps animals as well when they are in distress and suddenly has a collection of stray animals outside her home.

*If Alice ever poofed, her smoke would be light blue with purple and green swirled in
