So I'm way late to the party and I feel like the OUAT fandom is dead. But I just got done with a huge binge of it. Most of it was a rewatch for me except I never finished season 7 until just now. Most people I've talked to don't like season 7. But I kind of loved it! I do have criticism about it of course, but that's not what this post is about. First of all, Henry and Jacinda literally give me life! My shipping heart ships them and my bi heart is in love with both of them. 😍

Also, everything about Regina's coronation was so sweet!! When Snow crowned her "The Good Queen" and got all choked up!! 🥺 Like, let's talk about these three right here. They have all come so far from being archenemies trying to kill each other. They're family now. And Regina has finally gotten true happiness. And I was bawling! 😭

ALSO THIIISSSSS!!! Seeing Emma and OG Hook with their baby!!! 🥺😍😭

#their daughter's name is Hope!! 🥺

Overall good ending for the series, I feel like. It was sweet, touching, and almost satisfying. And I say almost because...

WHERE'S THE WEDDING?!

These two lovely ladies have literally stolen my heart. 💘😍🏳️��🌈 And Robin asking Alice's father permission to marry her and then insisting he be alive to walk her down the aisle.... MADE ME REALLY WANNA SEE THE DAMN WEDDING, DAMMIT!! If anyone has any good fics of the Alice x Robin wedding, PLEASE send them my way. That is all.

After all the realms were reunited, Robin did not propose to Alice immediately. She knew how long the girl and Nook had been apart, so she kept coming up with excuses that postponed their moving in together.

She kept saying that she needed to make some changes to the apartment in Hyperion Heights before Alice could move in, in case they decided to stay there (it was actually perfect from the start). If they were to choose to live in the Enchanted Forest, she kept saying she needed to find the perfect spot and build their house from scratch (which would not truly take that long because literally everyone would be willing to help).

After a few months, they were all together in Roger's apartment enjoying some dessert. As Alice announced she was getting up to make some tea, Nook motioned with his hand for Robin to stay. Curious, she did.

"You don't have to keep doing that, you know?"

"I'm sorry?"

"I know you're stalling. And I know why you're doing it."

"Oh. I'm not having second thoughts; I've never been more certain about anything in my life. Alice is..."

"Calm down, love. I know you want to marry Alice - that's very easy to see. What I'm referring to is that I know you're stalling because you wanted her and I to have some time together."

"It's just that you two have been waiting for so long, and I thought you deserved that."

"I appreciate what you've been doing, lass. I'm truly the happiest I've ever been, but... How many nights a week have you been staying over?"

"Shit, I'm sorry, I hadn't thought it..."

"Robin, stop missing the point! What I'm trying to say is that you and Alice can't stay apart. You don't want to, and you shouldn't have to."

"But you two..."

"Have spent a few wonderful months living together again, thanks to you. Don't think I don't appreciate that. It's just... I believe it's time, love. And don't worry, I will visit all the time."

"You will always be welcome in our home. Anytime."

"I know, love. After all, you are the best daughter-in-law a father could ever ask for."

Robin had wanted to do everything properly ever since meeting Alice. She was raised around the Charmings, and even as it all had seemed lamed when she a teenager, she changed her mind upon meeting the blonde. Robin had wanted to court Alice, to woo her as the princes and princesses did in the fairy tales. Alice was from a fairy tale land, after all, and Robin wanted to do right by her. So she visited often, gave her little gifts and trinkets, never stayed for too long in her cabin. She was perfectly appropriate, and that was probably part of the reason why it took them so long to kiss (and the fact that they were oblivious dumbasses, she knew now). When the archer was faced with the possibility of Nook dying, she did what she had wanted to do for quite some time: asked for his blessing to marry Alice. It was, again, the proper way to do it. After the realms were reunited, she had felt like the right thing to do was to allow Alice and Nook some time together.

But now, with his blessing renewed, and remebering the thoughts she had of never wanting to spend another day without Alice as her wife as they looked through those horrible dark books, Robin knew. It was time. And as Alice returned with their steaming cups, the archer was already planning the proposal in her head.

And if you could make a leap of faith with me, I'd like to build a house right here, for the two of us. And we could see what kind of life we can make together.
