i think the visual novel hype for furries is because like, there's relatively little furry media that's high production quality and is also more than just porn? so anytime something mid to good comes along, people latch onto it really hard.

i guess im mostly coming into this from the furry porn and anime vn aspect im sure there are other ones with more depth

fwiw i did play cryptid crush and enjoyed it but it had more mechanics than a typical vn

Hey Ralph! I know you've said you don't like visual novels before, but since you've been reblogging a character from Cryptid Crush (that DILF lumberjack werewolf where his fur looks like a mustache and the ear piecing), I thought you'd like to know that Cryptid Crush leans more towards turn-based action, instead of those VN's that you do nothing but click through and read. The player character is also black! I've played it before and it's actually really good, they have a Tumblr page too for updates and stuff if you wanna check them out for yourself.

i played CC before a long time ago and i loved it. i don't count it as a visual novel bc it has other elements to it whereas furry vn's are usually just hot guy fuck fuck fuck

it was fun and i recommend it
