I can't really wrap my head around the fact that Rafa is actually retiring. Like Rafa Rafa? Rafael Nadal? I've seen him play, watched his matches, seen him win impossible matches and did what people never expected him to do, win through injuries and all of that. The Rafa Nadal ? Who, despite winning 22 grand slams, won his first as a teen, still acts as if every win is his first and last.

The Rafa? The player I fell in love with, that made me love tennis? I just can't really believe it. Despite knowing this day will come soon, haunting me and every fan of his for every moment of his career. I can't believe it. Even though whenever he gets an injury I always thought, “This is it. This is the day he retires.” and every “Hola a todos” he said this year always gives me a heart attack but his retirement never came, but now it did and it's real and that time actually came—and I can't believe it's true and I'm genuinely heartbroken and in disbelief.

Rafa will always be my most favourite tennis player ever, not just as an athlete but as a person too. So strong, so humble, and it's kind of bittersweet because in my head I always wish he would retire whenever he gets serious injuries, I hate seeing him in pain because he's always pushing himself. Now I really hope his retirement will be as fun for him as it is for Roger. I wish I could meet him and say thank you to him a billion times because he had done so much for me without really knowing I exist. He brought so much happiness in my life and he did it all by just being himself. Thank you for everything, Rafa. We love you so much.

I like to think that there's this stupid gossiping chain in the Strawhat crew.

First we have the wine talk that only Sanji, Nami and Robin are allowed to assist to (though there's the exception of Chopper who sits next to Robin like a little child, reading or sleeping) that is the main source for fresh gossip.

Nami keeps Usopp up to date because despite being practically allowed to join the wine talk he's usually working on the ship with Franky.

Robin and Franky talk on bed right before one goes to sleep or before Robin picks up her book.

On that topic, the next time they're fixing something or making a new project, Usopp and Franky discuss the information they got, Chopper sometimes overhears too, as he likes to watch Franky and Usopp do mechanic work.

Then we have Zoro, who sometimes finds out through the breaks him and Sanji get in between fighting, when he's just sitting in the diner table while Sanji cooks or right after *ahem* having a pillow fight.

In the end of the chain we have Luffy, who finds out through Usopp and Chopper while they're all fishing. This is usually a week after the gossip was first started.

In conclusion: I put too much though into a show about silly pirates fighting government corruption. I should just go to sleep.

05 years later i'm still struck by how these two can go from having a blast with their friends at parties & gatherings - to retrieving back into their own world - in the blink of an eye. rewatching druck clips by way of healing and all it did was sending me into a frenzy i miss my german gremlins soooooo much !!!
