i can't see him particularly caring about height in an s/o, rather just personality. if he likes you, he likes you and that's really it, you could look like just about anything

you could be three feet tall and he wouldn't care as long as you were understanding about the unholy hours of the night he has to stay up to in order to do his work

he won't deny the fact that dating someone tall has its advantages, though.

for one example, he finds it particularly difficult when an ingredient he's trying to get to is too far up for him to reach

and yes, he could just summon his geo flower and have it elevator his ass up the tree or whatever, but it's so much more convenient AND so much more comfortable to just have you pick him up so he can get higher

he's probably just a bit taller than average, i'd place him at about 6' or so

so it's not rare that he meets someone taller than him, it just doesn't happen every day

has no qualms about your height other than he finds it slightly annoying to look up at you when you're having a conversation

it's hard to be intimidating when the person you're talking to is looking down at you with an adoring smile, as you can understand.

other than that, if need be, he has the winery mansion adjusted to suit you

he's kind of a slut for people taller than him, i think. or just a slut in general maybe. either way, thinks it's hot

he's probably just a bit shorter than diluc, maybe at 5'11. diluc won't let him hear the end of it and it pisses him off

looks are the first thing he sees in a person. it isn't nearly the end-all be-all of choosing a partner for him (he really looks for someone with more mental acuity and wit), but it does play the part

there is no cabinet he can't reach, and besides he has changsheng to slither up in the rare situation that he actually can't reach something

however, the tables are turned on him completely when he's having a flare-up. a lot of the time, if he tries to exert himself reaching for something (or just getting out of bed at all), he'll dissolve into a fit of coughing and have to sit down

this is when having a tall partner really comes in handy, and you're more than happy to get him whatever he needs to help him calm it down

extremely grateful for your help, and lucky that he has you. anytime you get him something, especially when he's not feeling well, he'll thank you and give you a kiss

Diluc

What? Diluc has a roommate? Did you blackmail him in living with you? Is that even possible? Did you throw yourself in front of his car because you needed someone to pay for your student loans and the easiest way was to file a lawsuit? In this economy no one would blame you. Diluc seems like such the self-isolated character that would murder his roommate in cold blood but in reality, he act’s detached from the world because he forgot how to socialize and he’s desperately trying to cover it up without choking. That or he’s trying to learn how to astral project. If he could drink away the pain he would but instead he buys 20 packs of grape Kool-Aid and injects it into his veins. 

Does not and will not ever have a normal sleeping schedule. You’ll wake up to him working, come back home to him working, and will sleep to him still working. His daily dose of Vitamin D is from the brightness of his screen rather than the sun and he’s filter feeding at this point. It’s concerning. He’s going to crumble and he’s bringing the world down with him. Through the power of tax evasion. But as soon as he needs to walk out into society, he pulls movie magic and looks like perfection. It’s both physically and mentally disgusting. 

He’s actually is a really nice roommate to have just so long as you give him space. Great cook and knows to clean up after himself. Though he does have crash and burn days where’s he’s completely out of commission. You could set the entire apartment on fire and he would sleep through it. The entire two weeks are dedicated to zombie eye marathons and then he’ll suddenly collapse and sleep for 46 hours straight. When he wakes up from his hibernation he’s the most groggy and nonsensical person. His life blood is coffee because you keep hiding the 5 hour energy away from him because, you know, life is enjoyable and those cancer bottles will actually kill him.

Beidou [Happy Birthday Queen 💕]

Despite her appearance, she’s actually really strong and it scares the piss out of you when you’re doing something or scrolling through your phone mindlessly and you suddenly get your spine re-arranged when she slaps you on the back to ask what you’re doing. Likewise, when she hoists you up and throws you over her shoulder so you come with her on her 3am convivence store raids for alcohol. It’s either you change now or else we’re walking out of the apartment in your t-shirt and no pants self. She can and will carry you under her arm that way. It’s both incredibly attractive and horrifying at the same time. 

She’s really friendly and a great talker if you’re alright with her “I must hold you in my arms, fresh prince of bel air style”. It doesn’t matter if you’re taller than her, she’s doing it. She does however, get in a bit of trouble from her rowdiness and you often get noise complaints but Beidou just passes them off to Ningguang and everything is fixed. She has ovaries of steel when neighbors rather confront her personally and she’s ready to 1v1 in the parking lot. You’re trying to desperately hold onto her shirt to stop her from pile driving your neighbors for the third time this week but she’s too strong.  

She’s constant party until we die attitude and suffers the hangover in the morning. It’s actually really funny to catch her in her hangover moods because whatever filter Beidou had, which is none, is gone. She really takes “cursing like a sailor” or the next level and the amount of creativity she comes up with is actually impressive. She can be a bit messy but she’s really likeable and always down to go anywhere with you as long as you’ll do the same. It’s a very ride together, we die together situation. You’re my best friend, you’re dying with me. I’ll see you in hell.

Kaeya

Kaeya on the surface seems like such a chill roommate. And he is for the most part. But he’s such an ass. Your things are his things, no questions asked. If you just bought a really nice sweater or you had leftover food, that’s his now. He’s innocent until proven guilty even if he’s literally holding your lunch. The pure amount of bullshit he can spit out to convince you that no, he did not pull the fire alarm because he wanted an excuse for not going to work, puts him on Shakespeare level. He’s also very pretty, way too pretty, sir can you share some of your genes? 

But aside from that, he’s actually super dependable. You forgot something at home? Sure, he has nothing better to do so he can bring them for you. We’re missing eggs? No problem, he’s just by the store. You’re 95% sure that he just wants to be cheeky and make you thank him for 20 minutes before he actually hands you what you asked for. It’s better for you if you never tell him anything you’re afraid of because Kaeya has no social cues, or more like he throws them out the window, and he’s probably a psychopath. 

He’s incredibly private of his room and things despite his attitude towards yours. You’re convinced he either has a secret lab or that’s where he’s storing the bodies. I was the good guy but due to unfortunate circumstances, I need to stab a bitch. But he’s a really good serious talker for those 3am, because everything happens at 3am, talks about life and the meaning of the universe. It absolutely wrecks your sleep schedule but some of the things you talk about are the most crackhead things like what’s the lowest amount of money someone would have to pay you to walk outside without clothes? It’s a legitimate question.

Jean

Okay, what world did you save in a past life to live with his absolutely wonderful woman? Mother Teresa take a load off, take a seat. You have nothing to worry about. She’ll bring home little treats back home and it’s the most wholesome thing ever?? Is this what love and affection feels like? We’ve been starved for so long. She says it’s not a big deal and anyone would do it BUT THE MOMENT SOMEONE BUYS FOOD FOR YOU. IT’S A MAGICAL MOMENT. They are forever stuck in your will until proven otherwise. An absolute ray of sunshine that must be protected. 

She does get super busy so you don’t often see each other or get to hang out as much. She’s a bit of a workaholic but a lot more easier to talk her into taking a break. She’s also a pretty decent cook but she prefers baking and jesus christ, girl can you calm down? Be still my beating heart, I’ve been smitten. Has mother hen vibes that you’re not sure if she’s your roommate or if she adopted you into her family. It’s time to start a petition for the Jean protection squad. Given the opportunity, I would aggressively hold your hand. 

She’s always open to whatever you want to do. Any recommendations or things that you like she will try out at least once despite her busy schedule. She’s lowkey lonely because work consumes her so any time you want to hang out or do something together, she jumps on it like she’s feral. She get’s a bit shy to ask if she can join in on your plans because she doesn’t want to bother you or intrude no matter how many times you tell her that’s okay, she still get’s a bit iffy about it. Please save this girl before she trips. In your arms. Platonically. Just kidding haha. Unless?

Childe

First impressions of Childe were great, until he opened his mouth and you realized how much of a two brain cell child(e) he was. He has two braincells because they constantly have to 1v1 in his brain. He’s lived with a lot of siblings so he has no social awareness or concept of privacy that you’re lucky if you come home and he’s half-dressed. It doesn’t matter if you’re 2 weeks older than him, he’s going to call you 82 years old and why your bones aren’t being fossilized at this point. He’s such a little shit, this fucker licks the yogurt lid peel.  

He get’s really restless when he’s stuck under house arrest, because apparently 1v1ing in the parking lot of a Wendy’s is illegal for some reason, so he makes dying whale noises until he get’s to go outside again. But he’s actually a really wholesome guy, probably because of his younger siblings, that he’ll sometimes get you something because you seemed down and it’s such whiplash? Who is this man and where did he come from? You’re starting to have a change of heart before he tells you that he got banned from the library for accidently punching the school’s computer. How you “accidently” punch something you have no idea but Childe always comes home with some sort of injury. Maybe he’s just incredibly clumsy. For your sanity, you’re going to go with that. 

He’s actually so uncultured that it’s crippling. You can’t blame him too much considering his upbringing and it’s great that he’s so interested in learning new things but...child no...It makes you want to take your spine out of your ass and rip it like a Beyblade. Watching him take chopsticks and stab his food like it’s marshmallows makes you want to fall into a blackhole and let the chair consume you.

Ok so as soon as windtrace is back in season, Kaeya goes to her and askes her to play, because it's been so long

She's working of course, and says as much as she wants to, she cant

That whole thing ended in Lisa dragging her ass out of there and sharing the workload with Amber while Jean takes a much deserved break

Kaeya also gets Diluc to join them as stated earlier

And they play and they're happy🥲

But yes time for actual headcanons

She's a better Hunter than a Rebel, but plays both parts really well

As a Hunter, she constantly remains vigilant, in order to spot any kind of movement among objects

So she's pretty good at spotting people

Also she's fast, so catching a fleeing Rebel wouldn't be much of a problem either

I also feel like she has a decently good instinct as to where people might be hiding

It's not as trained as Gorou's or Yun Jin's but still pretty accurate

Kaeya gets pissy whenever she gets him this way lmao

She would tease as a last resort, if the Rebel is too hard to find

But only if she's sure it will work

She would absolutely tease Diluc to try and find him, cause he's a damn good Rebel as stated earlier

And it would probably work lmfao

But she probably wouldn't tease someone like Rosaria, because Rosaria wouldn't get very flustered and will cruelly return the favor after the match is over

Kaeya had to die for this to be learned

But she might not even have to tease to make someone start giggling

If it's someone she's known since childhood (basically Kaeya Diluc and Barbara), she'd bring up these funny little incidents that happened when they were younger

This dosen't apply to Diona. Diona knows to look at the high places and Jean found out the hard way

But if it's someone whose taller, such as Diluc or Eula, she would go to the obscure places

She won't try too hard if Klee's the Hunter though, she wants this to be fun for her and it won't be if it's too hard

I feel like teasing most definitely affects her lmao

She can tease other people, but probably can't take it herself lmao

Ah yes let's do this

Like Beidou, he's heard of it while traveling with her, but never actually played

But when the Sakoku decree is gone, he's pretty much forced to play by a very excited Thoma

As mentioned in Gorou's hcs, his first few games were with Himself, Thoma, Gorou, and Lumine

And as also mentioned, did not understand it very well at first

He didn't even use a disguise his first time around😭

But Kazuha's a pretty smart guy, so it didn't take him very long to get the hang of it

He's damn good at it now

Kazuha's prolly a better Rebel than a Hunter if we're being real

Anemo people usually make good rebels

Doesn't mean he isn't a decent hunter however

As a Hunter, he mainly relies on his sense of hearing to find people

If he's unsure, he'll stand silently for a few seconds and listen for anything, whether it be breathing or clothes rustling

He's also learned not to dash straight at someone, and approach them more calmly, looking like he's still searching

He's probably gotten Itto more than a few times with that lmfao

75% chance he'll wreck the Rebel he find (if they're friends)

I feel like he would tease, but only under 3 conditions

1: He's pretty much beat, teases as a last resort

2: He's friends with the person he's trying to find

3: (optional) He knows they'll react

He's confident in teasing Aether or Ayaka, because they're pretty much bound to squeak or smth lmao

He'd probably be more hesitant with Beidou or Lumine, because he knows they've got a smug look on they're face and knows they can get him back awfully for it

But sometimes he gets a little daring and tries anyway

Which pretty much leads to his unfortunate demise

Not that he minds

Yoimiya is an odd case, because she does get flustered, but in a less embarrassed/more excited way, and while being really ticklish herself, can easily get back at Kazuha for it

He's def got a lot of advantages

He's a strategic person, so he'd choose the spots that are high up/hard to reach and well hidden

And then meanwhile Gorou down there mouthing "THATS NOT FAIR🤨" and Kazuha just shrugs and hides

And that's when Hunter Ayato rounds the corner

But yeah his skill and naturally better speed give him many advantages

Teasing would affect him 100% definitely

Like he can be super quiet, but when someone starts teasing him he's almost fucked

He could manage to stay quiet if he tries hard enough, but I assure you he will be so fucking red cause of it

Beidou and Itto tease him especially a lot lmaooo

This is an edit but he'd also pretty much die in that one Hunter's favor thing that keep a rebel in a box

Like the anticipation alone will completely fucking murder him lmaoo😭

His favorite people to play with are the Travelers, Gorou, Thoma, Itto, Ayaka, Ayato, Yoimiya, Yun Jin (let me explain), and Beidou!

Chooses places that depend on the Hunter

He won't hide in places that are easily spotted if it's Diluc, and he won't hide in Trees if it's Diona. He can be a little more relaxed about where he goes if it's Sucrose or Barbara, but keeps a steady head if it's Jean or Rosaria

He'll often move around the map during the game

Either to escape, fuck with the hunter, or just because he's bored or his current spot

Loves using the bait skill

He's pulled that shit on Diluc so many times and still finds it hilarious

Even though it only means he's even more fucked if Diluc finds him

Now when we talk about teasing

Kaeya is the prime example of "cant take what you dish out" and I think I've made that very clear

Kamisato Ayaka

Came to Mondstadt on Beidou's ship with herself, Ayato, Thoma, Sayu, Yoimiya, and Kazuha

Gorou Itto and Kokomi came on a different ride

Thoma was very fucking excited when they got there and basically dragged her and Ayato to play windtrace when he saw it was in season again

Like a lot of people, she was a bit confused at first (and Thoma's excited rambling didn't help

Like everyone else though, she learned where her skill sets were and where they needed improvements

Ayaka is definitely a much better Rebel than a hunter I feel

A little like Kazuha, I think she's definitely got a few advantages for being a Rebel

But we'll get there when we get there

As a Hunter, she's not terrible, but she's no Xiao

She's got pretty sharp senses, and very good speed, so on a good day she could probably catch all the rebels she's looking for with not too much struggle

She hasn't really developed a special tactic for finding everyone, she just tries her best

Her intuition has gotten pretty decent because of this

Also a little like Kazuha, she'd only start teasing if she's beat and she knows they'll react in some way

For example, She probably could tease Thoma, Gorou, Kazuha, Iffy on Yoimiya

Ayato is a maybe, she probably knows him well enough to know what flusters him but honestly...

He's a force to be reckoned with

BUT that dosent mean she hasn't gotten him before and gotten away with it

She has

And she'll only try wrecking the people she's REALLY close to, who are the travelers, Ayato, Thoma, and Yoimiya

But back to the point

She's probably not gonna tease people like Yae Miko, Itto, Iffy on Kokomi, or Kujou Sara

Ok well

Sara probably would react but Ayaka would be too scared to tease her lmfao

Kokomi is confusing, like she probably would get a little flustered herself but keep her composure enough for Ayaka to think it won't work

Also Ayaka's tried teasing Sayu before, but that child won't show herself for shit

She loves the little skills and favors she gets though, and uses them as best she can

She's actually quite good!

We know she's very fast, so that's an advantage

But I also feel like Ayaka would be really good at hiding herself

Again, she appreciates the skills she gets and honestly has a lot of fun with them sometimes

She usually goes with the one that will conceal you when you move for a few seconds, but sometimes the bait trick is so fckn funny

She's gotten Itto with that one and trying not to laugh was a difficult task

She finds the disguises a little funny too

Like she'll be hiding as a lamp on a wall or smth and see another Rebel dashing past her as a barrel

And she'll nearly lose her shit

And don't get me started on the teasing

Ayaka is usually pretty composed, but when someone starts with the threats to wreck her

Staying quiet is a difficult task as is, and then her face goes bright red and everything

She's learned that at the first sign, hold your breath

Like as soon as Yae Miko sighs, HOLD IT

It's not uncommon for the hunter to actually hear her holding her breath, but it works pretty well for her sometimes

Her favorite people to play with would be besties Ayato and Thoma, Bestie Yoimiya, Itto, Kazuha, Gorou, and Kokomi!

She loves em all

This one time, that she thinks about a lot, was when Kazuha was a hunter and her, Thoma, and Ayato were rebels

So they thought it would be funny to hide in one spot together with the same disguises and everything

The first 30 seconds were good, but once Kazuha had walked past them without noticing, it got a little harder to stay quiet

Eventually Ayaka and Thoma sold them out

THEY COULDNT STOP GIGGLING AT THE SITUATION

Remember when I said Kazuha uses his sense of hearing to find people?

He actually got it pretty well his first time

Won all the first games lmao

As a Hunter, he's lowkey a little scary

His analytical nature does him lots favors

Got a lot of compliments from Thoma lmao

He uses whatever tricks or strategies he feels like in the moment

A crafty bitch is what he is

His senses are also very sharp, so that's always a plus

Whenever he's the hunter, rebels have to fear that trick

He's so fucking teasy too

Not worse than Yae Miko, but no one is worse than Yae Miko

But he can fluster pretty much anyone

He'll wreck someone too

He likes to mess with people's heads, similar to Kaeya

He's actually so intimidating (in a good way) as a ler its great

Like if he just got found by, say, Itto, then his first instinct would be to tickle Itto first before he would get got

Speaking of that stuff, teasing has a weird effect on him

This is Kamisato Ayato, and let me tell you he has no problem convincingly saying he's not ticklish

Like the way he acts about it, you just would believe him

Like even as he's being teased he'll have pretty much no reaction other than slight amusement at the attempts

But he's screaming inside lemme tell you shhh you didn't hear that from me

So teasing won't work on this guy

It's not a well known fact, like say Kazuha's sensitivity, but those closest to him know

I'm actually not sure if Sayu would know or not, because while they're often in close proximity because of shuumatsuban stuff, she doesn't know because she's never actually seen it for herself

And god knows she's a too scared to try it out

But she might see it happen during the events of windtrace, who knows

But his favorite people to play with would be Ayaka and Thoma ofc, Yoimiya, Kazuha, Beidou, Keqing, Chongyun, Jean (lemme explain) and Xingqiu

That's a lot of people with a lot of Liyue people but lemme explain pls

He met Keqing and she kind of reminds him of himself, taking on so much responsibility at such a young age

It just helps them both chill a little

Kind of the same thing with Jean. She may be a little older than him (my personally hc, Jean's 22 as Ayato is 20-21) but she's still young too

Helps them chill (although Jean's kicked his ass at windtrace a fair few times as well)

He and Ayaka played a few rounds with Chongyun and Xingqiu too

They got pretty close like that, as one normally would

Xingqiu and Chongyun's friendship feels oddly similar, with the way Xingqiu is always poking fun as Chongyun gets flustered as hell as always

Also he and Xingqiu both have the same vision and preferred weapon, so it's always nice to teach him a few things as well

Why do I feel like Ayato and Childe would be so fucking competitive too
