Characters: the Crying Child, Gregory (Security Breach), Michael Afton, Elizabeth Afton, Glamrock Freddy (briefly), William Afton (even more briefly)
Summary:
Evan survives a deadly prank gone wrong, only to have to deal with an abusive father and siblings he can't completely trust.
Thankfully, his best friend Gregory is there to help him pick up the pieces of his shattered life.
Excerpt:
For a second, Gregory could only stare at the door, tears overflowing his stinging eyes and his father’s gentle hands the only thing keeping him upright as his best friend’s sobs and screams tore the air.
Then Gregory ripped out of his father’s arms and turned to the person who had started this mess with a feral snarl and bared teeth.
Michael didn’t seem to realize that Gregory or his father were even there. He was staring at the door, long dark hair falling in front of his eyes; when Gregory practically bulldozed into him, Michael stumbled backward at the shove, his eyes blinking in utter confusion.
“Haven’t you done enough?!” Gregory screamed. “What the hell is wrong with you?! Even after everything– after everything you’ve done to him– you still think it’s funny to come back and hurt him?! You’re fucking sick!”
Gregory kept his hands balled up, his fists pulled back and his knees slightly bent. He was ready at any moment to either pull a punch or skirt out of the way when Michael came for him.
Except Michael never did.
Instead, Michael’s eyes went weirdly shiny in a look Gregory had seen a million times before– on Evan, but never once on the older teen.
Michael was crying.

@socialseasons | continued from (x)
John was dead. No matter how many times Ben read and re-read Gregory’s frantic, pleading words, he couldn’t quite wrap his head around them -- couldn’t fathom why the boy believed Francesca needed his help. The malaise was too strong, he’d claimed. She would write home with pleasantries, but refused their mother’s fervent plea to come home and rest.
But what could he do, Ben wondered? After his departure, he’d promptly cut off all ties with Francesca. Her letters arrived for many months, and despite his yearnings to correspond and keep himself abreast of her life, he’d selfishly discarded them into the fire, not even giving in to the temptation of opening them and reading what laid inside. A little over a year later, the letters finally stopped, and despite the undeniable hole in his heart from the loss of her friendship, he’d deemed their separation for the best. She had a husband now. She would soon have a family...
And now Francesca had nothing. She had no one in that big, empty manor, and despite Ben’s distance and lack of connection to her plight, he couldn’t help but feel responsible. He should’ve been there. He should have never let her face all this alone.
It was this guilt that fueled him into accepting Gregory’s secret invitation. Weeks onboard a cramped ship gave way to a stormy, unpleasant arrival with a chilling sense of foreboding. The wind whipped pellets of rain into his face, and waterlogged his clothes within moments of being on land. It was fitting, Ben thought. He was surely being tested for intervening where he was not welcome -- he was surely being punished with this tragedy of his own making.
By the time Ben pounded on the double doors to Francesca’s manor -- or rather, her husband’s -- it was late afternoon and he was shaking from the chill. Impatient, he shifted between using the door knocker and his fist, banging on the thick oak surface until it opened and revealed a servant with a cautious, disapproving scowl.
“Lady Francesca,” Ben choked out, abruptly lowering his fist. “Please...I need to speak with her.”
He knew he must appear bedraggled and untrustworthy at best, and his suspicions were confirmed once the woman denied him entry.
“I’m sorry, but her ladyship is not currently admitting any guests,” she said.
She moved to close the doors, but Ben was quick to lodge his foot in between the wooden slabs. “Please,” he begged, “I’ve come out all this way...”
“And I’m sure she’d appreciate that,” the woman coolly said, “but I’m afraid you-”
“I was sent for!” Ben furiously cut in. “Please, you must let me through!” When the woman yet again moved to shut the doors, he used all his body weight to barrel in across the threshold, the servant’s shrill cry rising above the din as Ben breathlessly shouted, “Frannie! Fran, it’s me... Please. You must come down here!”
“Sir, please!” the woman growled. “If you don’t leave right this instant, I will have you thrown out by force!”
The commotion finally seemed to rouse someone’s attention. A woman appeared at the top of the staircase, and both Ben and the servant stopped in their tracks, the former feeling as though an awl had punctured him right between the ribs. It was her... It couldn’t be, and yet it was. The weight of womanhood carved itself across Francesca’s features, soft and refined, yet grief had mellowed out some of the brightness in her smile and the sparkle in her eyes. She was no longer sweet and carefree -- she was no longer a child, naïve and at fate’s mercy.
Tumblr media
Finally, something seemed to register in Francesca’s face, and then she came rushing down the steps to meet him, her arms flinging around his neck and holding on tight. Forgotten was their small audience, and Ben stooped to properly embrace her, a lump in his throat as he passed his fingers through her hair and closed his eyes. “I’m so sorry,” he choked out. Please forgive me. I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry.
Words failed him in that moment -- after all, what could he say to a friend he’d so heinously abandoned? -- and pressing a kiss to her temple, he finally settled on asking what happened. Francesca went rigid against him, and her silence tore his heartstrings akin to knives as she lowered down to her proper height, her eyes scanning his face with clear confusion.
“Your husband,” Ben weakly explained. “Frannie, I didn’t know... Why didn’t you tell me?”
You know exactly why.
Pressing his lips inward, shame bled across his features and he swallowed, suddenly unable to return her gaze. “I...I don’t know what to say,” he finally admitted. It was true. He didn’t know what to say, and as tears filled his eyes, he was suddenly grateful to the rainwater masking his emotional turmoil. It was her -- it was really, truly her -- and somehow, it hurt nearly as much to have Francesca there with him as it did to be apart. Her hands were clasped in his own, and yet the weight of them didn’t feel real...couldn’t be real.
And then just like that, she pulled away from him. It was as though a curtain had been drawn, promptly closing off the warmth in her face as she reverted back to something colder, proper and guarded. Don’t hide from me, he wanted to plead, and yet he knew the sentiment was laughable. Had that not been what he, himself had done over the past four years? He’d once told Francesca she taught him not to run from his problems -- that he needed to face them -- and yet Ben was still running, even now.
While Francesca fussed over his wet clothes, he finally felt the chill in the significantly warmer foyer and shivered, guilt ribboning through him upon her question.
“I didn’t wish to be presumptuous,” he said, “so I do have an inn I can return to, should you prefer it. Caleb helped me with my last minute travels, so he’s presently staying there.” Wiping the rainwater from his face, Ben offered a feeble smile and quipped, “You know, all those years ago during your debut, you had quite the stunning entrance. I suppose I was well overdue.” In more ways than one.
Once Mary had left to prepare his room, Ben reached down and took hold of Francesca’s hand, his heart in his throat as he gave it a gentle squeeze. “I’ll stay,” he finally agreed. “For as long as you need me.”

Rewatching thoughs of 3x06:
Portia chaperoning Polin is a hell of fun.
I like Luke Newton acting but the way he always enters in the rooms always make me feel off. Like, that I can't believe it. Lmao.
The ring and the tint in her hand was beautiful. Like LW was between them, and part of the holly matrimony as well.
Sheeps are better than the old man, Cressida.
Why Violet dress looks same that the flowerpots?
Love siblings fight. Eloise is right, Gregory it's the best brother.
Very small? You're going to marry? What's small about that?
It's not just gossip Eloise. Maybe Pen was just a teenager that more power she understood but LW is a part of her. I know what writing means. You cannot ask a writer to stop, it's like asking to kill a part of their soul. A part that even you Eloise love.
I love the Queen. She reminds me my piano teacher where I was a kid trying to look angry with me.
Prudence being hormonal and jealous it's fun.
Portia is the best character of this show. After Penelope of course.
Dreams? She's right. Maybe I will do a set of gifs of that. Portia has the right feeling. Better than me? The majority of parents are worst than that.
I love Benedict, but I never like what the show does with him. Idk. He deserves better.
Torture Colin? Maybe it's because you can't accept it?
What the story about the club? I never understood what they were trying to do with them?
Ah, Polin looks so cute in the chapel. Hate when shows do the the reason to not marry thing. It's so lame.
Lady D / cockblock
She says she loves him and he looks happy but he doesn't believe him. Love Polin dancing, cute.
Cressida saying to Eloise the same Penelope did. Ohhh.
I want to eat chocolate now Mr Finch. Bad idea.
I don't understand why they destroyed Francesca story that way. Violet was right after all.
Pen, don't destroy them. 🥺
She said to him that she loved him and now he writes again. Colin is so a wife.
I liked green more, Portia.
You cannot stop writing, she's right. Love her friendship. She had the most beautiful dress.
Why Cressida father is always screaming? It looks like someone that doesn't go to the toilet frequently.Cressida doesn't know how to write, what suprise!
Tilly is beautiful.
Colin is searching for Pen. Don't worry boy, she's going to be there. I love that he's always searching for her.
Oh , Prudence! You don't need a reason to cry.
The flowers wer cool. The bugs were better. LW won.
Dancing again! They're that couple that always dance together.
Violet is bad in lying. Why changed Fran story? I liked the idea of slow love.
Lady D and Eloise are jealous sisters. He was a child, but I understand her, maybe blaming him was a way to protect herself of the pain.
Paul is very direct. Don't waste any time.
And still dancing. Cute. I love the colour of Cressida 's dress but it looks cheap. Where is Fife? I wanted someone to punch him!
Polin problems with the dancing? Foreshadowing and writing conflict. Worth it of you? I forget adding that part today.
I love how LW has so many fans. The Q is me when one of my students tries to cheat in a test.
Oh worry Colin!!! The drama!!!
Eloise and Penelope are a chaotic duo. I knew Pen wouldn't be able to stop writing, it's more strong than her. Yes, it's about having a voice. But the smile in her face. She feels alive again.
Colin!? Soap opera! I don't know but I can't take Luke seriously when he's trying to look angry. Makes me laugh every time.

Abby from the Fnaf movie be like-
So spoilers beware...
But why does Abby have so many parallels to so many characters?
Now on the surface you would think it was just be the Elizabeth Afton/Circus Baby connection. Both Abby and Elizabeth are little sisters to a guy called Mike. Abby was almost stuffed into a Clown aesthetic animatronic. You would that would be it right?
But honestly while she has the surface level connections to Elizabeth, she actually has a lot more characters that she has connections too.
Crying Child. Both are younger siblings. Both carry/have a teddy bear. Both refer to the core 4 animatronics as 'friends'. Both are outcasts and are weird.
Charlie. Ella is the doll that belongs to Charlie from the Silver Eyes trilogy. The Eleanor (that name is a whole other discussion) animatronic doesn't look like Circus Baby it looks like Ella. Both Abby and Charlie have Aunts that are killed unceremoniously and left on like the living room floor. Both crawl behind arcade cabinets to avoid Foxy.
Carlton Burke. Carlton has a special friendship to Golden Freddy and Abby probably does too considering what Golden Freddy does in the movie. But most importantly the whole 'draw the truth so the ghosts remember and break free of Springtrap's control' thing is exactly what Carlton does except he did in like a mindscape (long story).
I guess Abby's friendship with the Animatronics could also be parallel to Gregory and Glamrock Freddy's/Cassidy and Roxanne's friendship too?
Abby even does the Balloon Boy HELLO thing.
So um yeah. She's like an amalgamation of characters. Her brothers are like that too actually but this post is about Abby.

Okay, so what about a new duo name??? 👀
What do you say about the Victim Duo??? The Victim Duo consists of The Crying Child/Evan Afton and Tony Becker.
It isn't romantic/shipping, but just a pairing/friendship per say. It's in a similar way to Golden Duo and Flashlight Duo.
Why is the pairing named this way? Well it's based off of the fact that C.C. is the victim of the bite of '83🤖, due to his older brother Michael. And Tony on the other hand is presumably a victim🪛 of Dr. Rabbit/Glitchtrapped Gregory in GGY. So the duo's name is derived from them both being victims of unfortunate faiths.☠️

A follow up to my rewrite of It's in his kiss
Just a little expansion of my previous post
Mary Winthrop
In my rewrite Mary Winthrop is disabled/has a health condition. Her father believes that she will not be able to secure a future for herself which is why he has set up such a large dowry and set up an arranged marriage to Gareth.
Gareth and Mary bonded due to their loss Gareth loses his brother at 14 and Mary loses her mother almost at the same time as Henry's death at 6.
Gareth noticed the grieving child and was the first person to bring a smile to her face since her mother's death despite his own sadness, Mary repaid him in kind in the way a child can which also made him cry (he usually holds all his emotions in) which kickstarted their friendship/found family dynamic.
Whilst her father loves her he constantly treats her like an invalid because of her condition/the loss of his wife and Gareth becomes her source of support and encouragement. Gareth is well aware of how emotionally intelligent and smart Mary is and knows that whilst her disability makes some things more complicated she's brilliant and he reminds her about it all the time.
Gareth is consistently berated by his father, feeling survivors guilt in the wake of his brother's death and like an imposter in polite society - his bond with Mary somewhat saves him. She was a child who needs him and appreciates him for who he is so he flexs his big brother muscles and plays with her/spends time with her much like Henry once played with him despite their age gap.
There's a sort of disconnect from the way he fights in Mary's corner about how her father/society is wrong about her and how he's internalised his father's abuse even though the 2 people in his life that he loves (Mary and his grandmother) both tell him he's their favourite person and his father is wrong about him.
When he's 19-20 he goes to stay more permanently at Lady Danbury's but makes frequent enough visits to Mary Winthrop bringing gifts or to hang out for tea. The two of them consider each other as siblings.
Hyacinth actually starts to fall for him because of how he treats his family. Hyacinth's brothers didn't spend so much time making sure her or her sisters thoroughly enjoyed their debuts and whilst she's close to her brothers (especially Gregory) none of her brothers are as sweet to her as Gareth is to Mary.
Mary falls for an equally sweet guy who she meets as her escort (Gareth) had a meltdown after running into his father at her debutante ball. Then when Hyacinth abandons her to find Gareth she spends the evening with him.
The two have an instant bond that grows into a stronger attraction as Gareth promenades with Mary and Hyacinth acts as accompaniment. Mary then leaves her chaperones to their flirtation/heist planning and spends time with the guy from the ball.
The suitor does have to battle his family as they didnt expect him to bring a girl like Mary home and Mary has to deal with her father not trusting her to find her own happiness. But at the end they find happiness together.
Gareth's motivations for sleeping with Hyacinth out of wedlock
In the original Gareth entraps Hyacinth after she accepts his proposal before he's sure that he loves her because he's worried her learning about him being a bastard would cause her to break the proposal.
I found this kind of squicky and it messed with my portrayal of Gareth as plagued by imposter syndrome and overly responsible as a trauma response to his birth circumstances.
He doesn't want to sire a bastard child so he's a flirt but not the type to bed women, he seeks out women for company but doesn't want to burden others by pursuing a serious relationship because he's a bastard etc.
My version of Gareth and Hyacinth are frenemies with clashing personalities- Gareth is responsible, insecure, flirtatious, self sacrificing, not booksmart, silver tongued etc. Hyacinth is reckless, self assured, a horrible flirt and horrible at dealing with flirts, kind of selfish/spoiled, very much a nerd, blunt etc.
In this version of the story Gareth wrestles with his feelings for Hyacinth and him feeling unworthy of her. He kept pushing her away but when she starts listing her flaws he's thinking this spitfire should never have insecurities because she's so valuable to him so he kisses her and then stops and realises he's got to propose because its the 3rd time he's kissed her and he needs to stop messing around. (The first kiss he did because it was the first time he found Hyacinth attractive after she saved him from his father then he got drunk enough that he didn't control it and he regretted his slip making sure to come by the next day to apologise. The second kiss she kissed him to hide and they both got way too into a fake kiss- he got upset with her for being reckless and kissing him risking her reputation/ruination but he was also upset with himself for losing control again which is why he tries to keep his distance. For the 3rd kiss he's resigned to this being a vice he cannot control so he has to take responsibility but he also knows that Hyacinth won't marry him if she thinks he's only doing it out of responsibility so he hesitates to say that to her. He also just wants her and wants to be around her). So he proposes but has mentally decided he'll be worthy of her when he gets the diamonds. He keeps her in the dark about the arranged marriage, his family's debts, the circumstances of his birth because he doesn't want her to realise how unworthy he is.
When he came to her at night it was the anxiety of the looming marriage to Mary that made him come over (he's kind of tipsy) to find out her progress but talking with Hyacinth calms him, they start flirting and then kissing, then one thing led to another...
I would like it noted that at somepoint half realising the danger Gareth tells Hyacinth to stop him and Hyacinth is like "don't stop I want this I want you".
He's silently telling her he loves her the whole time he's making love to her.
He wakes up the next morning in bed with Hyacinth somewhat hungover and he's upset with himself for being so irresponsible. He proposed to take responsibility, he wanted Hyacinth to have the ability to back out of the engagement if the whole finding the diamonds thing falls through he doesn't want Hyacinth to be dragged down with him all ruined because he couldn't control himself.
When Hyacinth learns about his family's debts and believes he entraps her he tells her that he wouldn't tell a soul about what happened and she's free to break the engagement which makes her more angry.
Finding the diamonds
In the original the diamonds are found several years later by Hyacinth's daughter. It was lame ending in my opinion so in my rewrite the diamonds are found. I'm also stretching the value of the diamonds from just a bracelet to a collection from Grandma Isabella plus money left by Gareth's bio father.
In the original the rumor of the diamonds is discovered by Hyacinth. I changed it to Gareth knowing about the diamonds because Isabella told him she'd hidden a fortune he could use when he's older. Unfortunately she died before he was 18 when she planned to tell him where the diamonds where. Grandma Isabella had been forced to hide her collection because between her husband and eldest son there was no way to ensure her fortune would pass to her grandchildren as she intended and if her eldest son got his hands on the fortune he would have squandered it.
Gareth views the diamonds as his way of finding his place in life- with the fortune his status as a bastard wouldn't matter so much and he could use the money to travel. When he falls for Hyacinth he again places his worth on having those diamonds.
In my rewrite they find the diamonds after they are comitted to marrying each other no matter what. Disproving Gareths belief that he needed the diamonds to be worthy of Hyacinth.
Mary's father won't back down from the arranged marriage without compensation and he knows that Gareth can't afford it. With the diamonds found Gareth has the compensation but it's Mary's time to shine and accept the "compensation" and break the engagement on her father's behalf. She choses a token gift precisely because she didn't actually compensation she just wanted the engagement over so her brother and her can marry the people they love.

What are some headcannons You haven't said
If you're talking about FNAF headcanons, I can give some of mine! Not sure if I haven't mentioned them before but... FOR THE OLDER GAMES... 1. Henry and William had less of a friendship and more of a mentor/apprentice relationship (to mirror other fnaf things that have apprentices...) 2. After Charlie died, Henry built a father-like relationship with the 5 children, but for some reason they never really got along with Mike, especially Cassidy 3. Cassidy and the Crying Child were good friends 4. This one is a bit dark, but William as Bonnie lured children over time, and the reason why Cassidy has so much hate for him is because she believed that Bonnie was her best friend after her other best friend (CC) died. And when "Bonnie" betrayed her, it hurt her more than any of the other kids. 5. Michael chews gum to stim/ease his anxiety. He probably has a chronic anxiety disorder. 6. William's first murders were sloppy-- He isn't a cold, calculated killer, but rather an overconfident man with a morbid fasciation to complete his own goals. When he killed Charlie, it was out of jealousy and curiosity. 7. Michael had friends before he died in SL-- after he died they got so grossed out/creeped out by him and Ennard's antics that they abandoned him and when he took control of his own body again, there was nobody there for him.
FOR THE NEWER GAMES... 1. Glamrock Bonnie took Monty under his wing to teach him bass because he saw Monty was wishing he could be a part of the band. 2. Vanny/Vanessa was not only a reluctant follower but a resistant follower. William took over her mind in the night but in the day, she constantly fought against him and everything he stood for. (Hence why she got rainbow hair, and made everything around her cutesy, things that William hates) 3. Gregory has a similar fate as Vanessa by being controlled by the mimic (? that part im not so sure about) Those are all off the top of my head, thank you for asking!

It's the final countdown best-of: top ten films of 2023! I watched over 200 movies this year, so this was pretty wrenching, but I'm happy with my choices. As in past years, the list is unranked, because I can only push myself so far.
Tumblr media
Aftersun (2022) - I started crying in this movie's third act and I maybe haven't stopped since. I don't know if I have the words for how much this film affected me. The performances, the visuals, the raw and bleeding heart at the center of it. Just overwhelming.
Tumblr media
The Age of Innocence (1993) - If I'd known I was going to watch a ton of Scorsese films this year and had bet on which one would make my top ten, it would not have been this. (For the record, GoodFellas, Killers of the Flower Moon, and The Irishman all made the short list when I was deciding on my ten.) I'm not even sure I knew Scorsese directed this film before this year, I'm sad to say. But The Age of Innocence immediately crawled under my skin. The longing in it is unreal. I've been thinking about this one for months.
Tumblr media
Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves (2023) - One of two films I watched twice this year, and honestly, putting this list together made me want to watch it again. An intensely charming blend of found family, heist tropes, and D&D Easter eggs. But, I think most critically for me, while it's funny, it's also totally sincere. I don't think I was aware of how sick I was of irony in action and adventure films until I got my hands on one basically free of it. It made me cry both times. A fantastic surprise of a film.
Tumblr media
Frances Ha (2012) - Friend breakups aren't a wildly common subject in filmmaking: not unheard-of, but certainly not something you see frequently. But Frances Ha hit me directly in the feelings in a way I was unprepared for. Your mileage may vary, since this hits a lot of beats close to, or sometimes exactly like, my own mid-20s experience. But I suspect that even without that, the movie would have moved me. Also a truly great New York City film.
Tumblr media
Ivan's Childhood (1962) - I came into this film already a Tarkovsky fan, but unreal to see how assured and effective he was in his first feature-length film. Those crane shots!! The entire effect is poem-like. Nikolay Burlyaev is also wildly good as Ivan; hinging an entire film on a child's loss of innocence really banks on the right child actor, and Burlyaev is terrific. Full-on tragedy.
Tumblr media
My Dinner With Andre (1981) - I said it when I first watched it and I'll say it now: How does this movie work??? It should not be good! Wallace Shawn and Andre Gregory as versions of themselves, sitting in a restaurant for just under two hours and having a conversation. Yet somehow I was never bored, and I've been turning the film over and over in my mind since I saw it. Gregory and Shawn's talents as writers are on full display, but director Louis Malle pulls a deft magic trick in that it really does feel like a movie and not a recorded play. Wild.
Tumblr media
Oppenheimer (2023) - I fully admit this is an imperfect film (parts of it are baggy; Nolan still has no idea what to do with women; etc.). But it still makes my list. First, the cast is terrific. Obviously Cillian Murphy, whose work I've always enjoyed, but also Robert Downey, Jr., Josh Hartnett (!), David Krumholtz, even the nasty little turn from James D'Arcy as Oppenheimer's professor: so many great moments. And second, the entire Los Alamos test sequence was maybe the most indelible experience I had in a movie theater this year. Overwhelming.
Tumblr media
RRR (2022) - It's about the cones friendship! I watched this movie with friends, and we spent the entire runtime yelling in delight about its maximalist choices, from fight scenes to dance scenes to montages. But the central relationship at the heart of the film is what really made me go feral for it. I am glad I read a bit more afterward about the context (this is a good starting place, if you're interested), most of which I didn't have going in. But on the film's own merits, it's easy to see why RRR achieved such global success.
Tumblr media
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (2023) - Into the Spider-Verse was one of the best superhero movies of all time, so the sequel was always going to have a heavy weight to lift. But while this really does feel like half a story to the predecessor's whole one, I was blown away by the sheer visual beauty of Across the Spider-Verse. It leveled up on the creativity and artistry, but always used them to enrich the story. A gift to all of us.
Tumblr media
Yojimbo (1961) - Wow, Kurosawa never misses, huh? Mifune is, as always, incredible. But I was also dazzled by how ably Kurosawa navigates a variety of tones. Is this movie funny? For sure. Is it melancholy? Yes. Is it bleak? That too. From the score to the camerawork, everything about Yojimbo works beautifully.
HONORABLE MENTION:
Tumblr media
I did my 2022 list, it turns out, slightly too early. I watched The Banshees of Inisherin (2022) on Dec. 30 last year, and it absolutely would have made the top ten if I hadn't already published it. So it gets a special shout-out here instead.

@securitybreachdd ( continued from here! )
[This hadn't been a plotted betrayal -- and if anything, Freddy's warped programming had convinced him that Gregory was the one who'd hurt him first. With his "mind" in tatters, there was no possible recourse, and there were no safety parameters. Harming a child he'd once considered his best friend, maybe even a son, no longer seemed out of the realm of possibility -- although he'd hesitated thus far.]
[It'd been limited to psychological torment on both of their ends, with every single one of Gregory's actions furthering the idea that Freddy had been the one betrayed; in actuality, the bear's distinct change in temperament had been what drove the boy away. Of course, it wasn't as though he could recognize that now.]
[All night, the others' intentions had been made abundantly clear; Roxy bullied and degraded Gregory, Chica tried to lure him with honeyed words, and Monty was...well, violent. Freddy's, on the other hand, must have been muddled. Even though he was calling out to Gregory, each word hinging on the friendship they'd once had, he was simultaneously throwing a tantrum, on the verge of tears. His voice broke, but so did the stroller he threw across the room. He wanted to break down into a heap of tears, but something urged him to continue -- pursuing Gregory was his goal.]
[Even he was clueless as to why; he couldn't fathom what he would do if he actually found Gregory, aside from cry.]
[A clattering noise down the hallway stirred him; was that Gregory, perhaps? Had he knocked something over? Against his haywire programming, one thought stuck in the bear's mind -- was he okay?]
[Freddy raced over to the spot with now-intimidating speed, more concerned than frustrated -- only to find the Fazwatch he'd given Gregory mere hours ago.]
Tumblr media
[This could only be taken to mean one thing; it was a surefire sign that Gregory was throwing their friendship away. Freddy meant nothing to his friend anymore. The bear's paws clutched at the Fazwatch, then shook; his new instincts urged him to give chase upon hearing the boy's footsteps, but instead, he collapsed. His shoulders heaved, and he sobbed loud enough for the entire Pizzaplex to hear.]

what's your headcanon as to what happened to gregory and christophe after the ending of BLU?
I’ve got two major headcanons! They went a bit long so to be kind to my followers and anyone who wants to reblog this I’m putting them under the cut <3
First off, I’ve thought a bit about what we have that is “canon”. That is to say, we get to see Christophe again in the series (kind of) when he flashes across the TV screen in Two Guys Naked in a Hot Tub. What’s he doing there? I think it’s reasonable to speculate that he gained a bit of notoriety after being discovered breaking into the USO show. He’s implied to have a long record of doing stuff similar to it, but somehow he was never caught until that moment. Once he was caught, his past was slowly uncovered until everyone became aware of this mercenary child and he became a bit of a fascination. Christophe’s mother certainly punished him in some way once she became more aware (either of that fact that it was all true or to what extent he’d done things), but I think she also wanted to find the “blessing in disguise” and so used Christophe’s infamy for her fifteen seconds of fame, taking him on talk shows and crying about how she was the poor victim mother to a devil child or something. Gregory’s parents, ever concerned with appearances, are so upset with the town’s attitude towards the war that they move away. They also definitely forbid Gregory from associating with Christophe ever again (if they even knew of the two’s friendship in the first place). This could go one of two ways: either Gregory is undeterred and chooses to keep contacting Christophe in secret, or he’s so scared of his parents’ approval that he ceases talking to Christophe, just like they asked. It’s a choice he heavily regrets later in life, but one that Christophe would likely eventually forgive because he also understands being terrified of one’s parents. No matter what, I think Christophe runs away the moment he feels he can and Gregory slowly cuts ties with his parents. Christophe moves in wherever Gregory is (i.e. squatting in his college dorm or his apartment). They continue their revolutionary work in various ways (rallies, union meetings, direct action, etc). They never get married or anything but they’re very in love. Maybe they tell each other that. Maybe they keep it to themselves. Depends on how much angst I want in this timeline.
Second, not going off that weird canon/not canon bit, I still think Gregory’s family moves away. My personal headcanon is that his parents are both professors who aren’t tenured anywhere, which means they tend to move a lot. During the time of the movie, they happened to be teaching at a college in Denver somewhere, before that wherever Yardale was. After the movie, they get an offer elsewhere and move, which means Gregory leaves town yet again. Christophe’s mother sees Gregory as a good influence (smart, proper, and Christian) so even if she grounded Christophe, she’d let Gregory come say goodbye and give Christophe a way to keep in contact with him. This would be deeply upsetting for Christophe, as Gregory moving away means he once again has no friends. I headcanon that he’s homeschooled (which is why no one knows anything about him despite the fact that he’s the same age as the other boys and lives in South Park), so it’s very hard for him to make any new friends. He clings to this one relationship desperately, messaging Gregory every day just to have someone to talk to that isn’t his mother. Gregory, who appreciates having someone who can engage with him on his intellectual level and will listen to whatever he has to say, also gets very attached to their relationship. They text every day, talk long into the night, video chat whenever possible... codependency but they are thriving because of it. Christophe again runs away as soon as he can, a move he probably coordinates with Gregory and maybe even a few town friends he’s managed to make over the years. Oddly enough I think Butters would be the most likely candidate to help, as Butters probably volunteers at the church (being so close with Father Maxi) and Christophe is likely forced to also volunteer. Butters has made a weird peace with his parents and their treatment of him, but he gets where Christophe is coming from and decides to sort of vicariously live through him by helping him escape. Christophe meets up with Gregory, who has been waiting for him to be able to be with him again for years and the moment they see one another, they just kiss. Whether or not they’d discussed it prior to then, there’s nothing they can say to express what the other has meant and continues to mean to them, so all they can do is kiss. Christophe would probably do something terribly impulsive like propose right afterward, to which Gregory would say “Not yet” since they’re just 18 at that point. They do start living together almost immediately though, Gregory at college and Christophe doing odd jobs and maybe an online degree. Maybe the odd jobs are mercenary ones and they get to have exciting semi criminal lives. Maybe it’s just like working at a bar or construction and they have more regular lives. No matter what, though, they have a very domestic vibe when they are with one another.

Binge watching Everybody Hates Chris, and I noticed several things of the characters
-Rochelle's narcissism is legit generational, with her mother and Tonya being proud examples. Tonya flat out does the "my x has 2 jobs, I don't need this!", but it is a telling note how nestled narcissim can be in lower class communities. And how no one wants to talk about it, or dismiss it as kids lacking spine
-Chris's family by sheer technicality is well off. Due to heavy scrimping and 2 jobs from Julius. Hence...
-Julius's penny pinching is sourced from financial vulnerability growing up, and not wanting his kids to feel the same way. Incidentally, so is his trauma of "growing up" early to take care of his siblings, which is imprinted on Chris taking care of Drew and Tonya
-Drew dabbles in other cultures sometimes
-Mr. Omar's stealth pimping apparently is common in the Funeral Director industry
Gregory is an interesting case. The show gradually has been developing how cruddy his self esteem and status at home is;
-early S1 notes he's an only child
-S1 Ep 10 notes his father being single after a divorce. Financially lower class as well, and despite talking with Greg for dinner, isn't around that much
-S2 Fans realize that outside school and Chris, he has no one to talk to. In contrast, Chris knows most people in his neighborhood
-S2 also notes how messy the divorce was, with him showing discomfort to swearing given feuds, and him noting his mother being in jail
-S3 takes a heavy turn that made people hate his character. Given an absolute lack of socializing, he turns to hyper focus in education. He starts listening less to Chris's own worries over time, taking their friendship for granted
-S3 ep 5 briefly notes what Greg would do if he had the house alone to himself. He has severe anxiety and is crying
-Furthermore, S3 Ep 7 has narration note Greg's severe anxiety being alone, leading to him wearing Super hero (and Vader) personas to bed. He also suffers from night terrors/sleep talking, though was overly spoiled that ep. He also has iffy relations with extended family...
-S3 Ep 13 uhh, he kissed his cousin once? Eww
Early S4 takes a nasty turn. He starts being a bully in Bronx academy, as without Chris most of the time, he has no real friends to talk to. He jokingly bullies Chris outside classes, but he no longer was the coward that avoided trouble. Upon transfering to Tatallia High, he reverts to his nerdy loser state, but grows distant and resentful of Chris working himself into social circles
-S4 ep 2 the end ep chorus goes "Everybody Ha-ates Chriiiissss (and Greg!)
-S4 Ep 3 He was extremely jealous of Chris having a date for Homecoming, and misses how he was a topdog bully in Bronx, and so runs away from home to sit at the front gates at the academy. He was at his lowest here, even saying "You overcame slavery, lynchings and racism. You know how to deal with suffering. I'm a white guy, I'm supposed to have it easy" to Chris in his jealous state. Interestingly, it was his aunt that called Rochelle that he was missing, not his dad
-S4 ep 8 he notes his poor self esteem, and would hurt someone elses to make him feel better
I still haven't finished S4, but shoot man, I feel he'd have done drugs or shot up the school by that point. He became so sociopathic, that manchild needs therapy

𝙢𝙪𝙨𝙚 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙛𝙞𝙡𝙚(s)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
real name — Miles “motherfucker” Edgeworth // Franziska “ballcrusher” von Karma
single or taken — Usually they are both single; always they are both baffled and bewildered by the concept of healthy relationships, but perhaps they will learn.
abilities or powers — They have no “powers” but they’re both crafty, observant, logical, and smart. They’ve got quick wits and WILL weaponize them. Miles is good at collaborative arguments and Franziska excels at intimidation lmao.
eye color — Grey
hair color — Grey // Silvery-blue
family members — NO ONE... jk he has one dead dad (Gregory Edgeworth). He’s been informally adopted by Trucy Wright, his rival’s child, as an uncle-dad. Franziska is his sister-figure though they are unrelated by blood. Manfred von Karma was his mentor/adoptive father-figure. // Franziska also has one dead dad (Manfred von Karma) and a somewhat sizable family including several older sisters and a niece. Miles is her adoptive brother-figure.
pets — Miles has an old white borzoi named Pess. // Franziska should not be trusted with the care of a sentient creature.
something they don’t like — Wasting time, being touched, clutter, fools, earthquakes.
hobbies / activities — Collecting teas, tea accoutrements, and Steel Samurai memorabilia. Chess. Driving his gay little mazda around. // Traveling. Hitting people and things with a whip. Throwing hands, getting mad. Skateboarding.
ever hurt anyone before — OH MY, YES... In addition to being a nasty, overdramatic and brusque little brat to everyone around him, Miles is also directly responsible for what I can only assume are MANY wrongful convictions. // Franziska can boast the very same, except she also physically harms nearly everyone in her vicinity, including the fucking Judge. She once beat Phoenix Wright unconscious lmao...
ever killed anyone before — Not “directly”, but I’m sure they’ve both caused death via wrongful conviction and it absolutely eats at them.
animals that represent them — They’re both very catlike. I like a jaguar for Miles, because he’s solitary, but strong, and beautiful. Graceful, and still a little bulky. I like a cougar for Franziska because they are sleek, psychotic killing machines, but also very cute and protective.
worst habits — They don’t think they ever need help, and prefer to suffer in silence. They push people away pre-emptively. They have little idea how to handle kindness directed at them. They’re rich. Miles holds his emotions too close to his chest and rarely opens up, while Franziska is extremely volatile yet struggles to name her feelings.
role models — The Steel Samurai. Phoenix Wright. Gregory Edgeworth. Manfred von Karma (once upon a time). // Herself. Miles Edgeworth (secretly). Manfred von Karma.
sexual orientation — They’re bi, but tend to be attracted to masc-leaning partners. On Franziska’s part, this is solely due to inexperience.
thoughts on marriage / kids — Neither of them have ever considered it. They’re wholly devoted to their careers but have definitely “softened” on the concept of love as they’ve grown older. Miles thinks he isn’t good with kids, but is actually...really good with kids. Franziska fancies herself decent with children, but actually is not great lol. Miles would excel as a father, but it’d be an extremely rare circumstance in which Franziska would want to be a mother. The idea of her healing her inner child by having a child kinda makes me cry.
style preferences — Flashy in court but pretty standard otherwise. Simple and elegant is the name of the game. Bold, solid colors and shapes that compliment them well. Franziska enjoys accessorizing when she’s out.
someone they love — They love each other a lot, though it goes unsaid. They also habitually pine over Phoenix Wright and they hate it. They love their respective deceased fathers.
approach to friendships — Not great at making friends! They respond with confusion when faced with kindness so they usually end up as accidental friends with anyone who overcomes their initial awkwardness/agression and thinks they’re neat anyway. A lot of their friendships are forged through mutual hardship and/or respect.
favourite drink — Miles loves tea! Any kind! Franziska likes sweet and bitter cocktails but has been known to suck down entire strawberry milks as a quick pick-me-up.
favourite place to spend time at — Miles is a bit of a homebody. Franziska is a wanderer who used to hate settling in one spot but she’s been happier spending time in LA with Miles (and everyone else) as of late.
swim in the lake or the ocean — I think they’d both prefer the ocean!
their type — They both admire strength, and know that strength comes in many forms. Miles likes directness - people who can force him out of his shell and help him be a better person, though it’s a delicate balance. He also likes when he can trust a partner to be their best self, because it inspires him to match that - if they can mutually push each other, he loves that. Codependence is a big turn-off. For Franziska, it’s important that her partner can weather her whirlwinds, but still rise to the challenge and respect her. She LOVES to be talked up even if she pretends she doesn’t. Surprisingly, she likes people who are very kind, who can appeal to the part of her that really wants to be cared for and feel safe...but she crushes people who are too nice. Oh, Franziska...
camping or indoors — Indooooooooors.

-
Golden Freddy: I can do anything I put my mind to. I once figured out Mike’s phone number just by choosing random numbers.
-
Henry Emily: You are, of course, wondering why it is I have brought you here tonight. William Afton: Actually, Henry, after all these years, I just sort of go with it.
-
Music Man: If you don't stop talking, I'm going to jump out of that window. Mr. Hippo: ...We're on the ground floor. Music Man: I know but I want a dramatic exit.

Jeremy Fitzgerald: Did you win? Or just not die? Jeremy Fitzgerald: Either way, hooray. Michael Afton: ...Is "no" a valid answer? Jeremy Fitzgerald: The hooray is redacted and you frighten me.
(post-Ennard)

Rockstar Foxy: I intend to stay pissed at you forever. Rockstar Foxy: Even if I seem helpful. William Afton: Then you're in luck. William Afton: Because you don't.
-
Freddy: ...This is one of those moments where it doesn't really matter what I have to say, isn't it?
-
*Giving advice to children* Toy Freddy: It's okay to ask for help. Toy Bonnie: You're not a burden. Toy Chica: Murder is okay. Mangle: Your feelings matter.
-
Orville: I need 28 lightbulbs for 28 ducks. Mr. Hippo: Ducks can’t eat lightbulbs? Pigpatch: I think that’s the point. Orville: Exactly. I want my ducks to glow so I can find them.
-
Monty: Nice rock. DJ Music Man: Thanks, Gregory gave it to me. Gregory: I threw it at you! DJ Music Man: Isn’t he the sweetest?
-
Roxy: You’ve got to learn to love yourself. Glamrock Chica: But don't you hate yourself. Roxy: Yeah, but this is about you. Stay focused.
-
Henry Emily: Do not come over to my house. If the house is on fire you may knock once, if I don’t answer assume I set the fire and I want to burn to death.
-
Glamrock Freddy: Guys, Gregory is missing. Daycare Attendant: Good.
-
Mangle: I told Bonnie that his ears turn red when he lies. Balloon Boy: Do they? Mangle: No. Balloon Boy: Then why did you tell him that? Mangle: Because I can do this. Mangle: Hey Bonnie! Do you love us? Toy Bonnie with his hands over his ears: No.
-
Moon: I came out here to attack people and I'm honestly having such a good time right now.
-
Henry Emily: Why would you give a knife to Elizabeth?!
William Afton, shrugging: Elizabeth felt unsafe.
Henry Emily: Now I feel unsafe!
William Afton: I’m sorry…
William Afton: Would you like a knife?
-
Jeremy Fitzgerald: You know you can die from that, right? Michael Afton: *smoking a cigarette* That’s the point. Fritz Smith: *drinking alcohol* We’re trying to speed this up. Gregory: *Eating raw cookie dough and nodding*
-
Jeremy Fitzgerald: Not gonna lie, I'm kind of afraid of Toy Chica... Toy Bonnie: As you should be. Jeremy Fitzgerald: No, for real, she’s kinda- Toy Bonnie: As. You. Should. Be.
-
Jeremy Fitzgerald: You remind me of the ocean. Toy Chica: Because I'm deep and mysterious? Jeremy Fitzgerald: No, because you're full of salt and you scare people.
-
Gregory: My ultimate goal is to punch God in the eye, just to spite him one last time.

Note
And considering how Cassie has parents, it's likely that after their friendship blossomed from that time when they likely met on their birthday, they were the ones to send out the Missing Child posters for Gregory, if the boy is indeed on his own.
😭😭😭stop I'm gonna cry
