"Cmon y/n Chop suey!" I faintly heard as I was waking up. Suddenly I was being shaken "whaaa whattt?" I blurted as I popped up groggily. "Today is the first day of summer!!" Mom said in a sickeningly cheery tone. Dammit. "Nooooooooooooooooooooooo" I said putting the blanket over my eyes. "Yes." Mom said pulling them off of me. "Ok fine!" I said getting up and getting in my drawers looking for an outfit. "Don't wear too much jewelry, might get ruined." "Ok mom" I polled on my mcr t shirt and brushed my hair, after I did that I put on my favorite shoes. Then I brushed my teeth and ate. "Ok I'm ready" I said sighing.

Time skip

I held my breath as we walked into the dreaded walls of heavensport mental hospital. I tried to look happy instead of pissed but, I don't know how well it was working. We walked up to the desk. "Hi Jan!" Mom exclaimed to the lady at the desk. "Hi M/n!! How're you doin'??" "I'm doing great, I brought my little crumbsnatcher." She said gesturing to me. I looked at her with a grim face not daring to say a word about her calling me that in puplic. "Hi." I said. "Aren't you a doll." Jan exclaimed. "Thank you" I said quietly. "Welp I'm sure you know the drill, I'm clocking in!" "Alright don't get murdered!" Jan said jokingly. "Ha ha." Mom replied. We were finally making our way down the hall after what felt like forever. "Crumbsnatcher??" I said looking at mom. She smiled at me. We walked in silence as we made our way to the rec room. "Okay, y/n here's the rules, don't get too close to him he's still pretty aggressive, I've seen him try to bite, scratch, head butt, and even punch, don't disagree with him he will cuss you out, and do as I do. OK?"

"If he's that dangerous why do you want me here?" I tried to reason again. "Because I want you to be strong" she said smiling. I rolled my eyes. We walked in and walked all the way to the end of the courtyard thingy and then I saw him, Jeff the killer. He looked absolutely pissed. As we got closer my mom said hello to the guard and Jeff was just staring at me. We locked eyes. My e/c ones with his bright frosty blues. It made me nervous, I couldn't read his facial expressions as he had no eyelids. Then I did something really dumb. "Hi." I sad quietly as I waved. He looked shocked for a second. "Hi." He responded in a tenor sounding voice. Mom was still chatting it up with the guard. That woman just doesn't hush sometimes. Jeff cocked his head to the side. "You're pretty what's your name?" I was taken aback by how straightforward he was. Uhhhm. I thought as I looked over at mom. For some reason I don't want her to know that I'm making small talk. "I'm y/n" I said. "What's your name?" I asked just because. He started laughing. "I think you know it already. "Yeah" I nodded. He started thrashing about for a second. what the fuck??? I stepped back a bit. "Are you ok?" "I've got an itchhh." "Where?" " On my neck" I walked over at scratched the back of his neck. "Here?" "No up more." I went higher "ohhh yep that's the spot" I heard mom stop talking. I quickly removed my hand from his neck. "This is my daughter." She said to the guard. "Hi." I said "hi, I'm hal." He responded. I sat on the bench next to Jeff. Mom gave me a warning look. Jeff's head swiveled around from looking at the guard to staring at me. I would've stared back but for some reason I couldn't. I tried to, but every time I'd just get flustered. The day went on and despite what mom told me he didn't do anything too terrible all day. At lunch I sat across from him we ate and then the day went pretty fast

Time skip to being in the car.

"Y/n." Mom said in the familiar dangerous tone. Uh oh. "Yes?" "I told you not to get close to him." "He had an itch" she raised her eyebrow. "So?" "He didn't try anything." "Yet." Mom said. When we got home I changed my clothes and collapsed on my bed. And I couldn't stop thinking about Jeff. I was kinda excited to see him again. Ok stop that's enough. Don't be stupid he's a serial killer wtf. And. Then I fell asleep

I was about to say loll….played that game constantly for the last 12 years and in vanilla, you only get TWO crumbsnatchers. That’s it!

Now there is a mod that allows you to adopt 6 kids—which is enough to get all the street urchins and 2 from Honorhall—but its hella glitchy, relies on scripting (so you can’t install mid-save), and is wonky with certain houses.

Either way, don’t believe everything on the interwebz lol

my girlfriend wanted more than the amount of children you can adopt in skyrim so she taught herself how to mod it so that you could adopt them all, and uploaded it to a skyrim modding community so other likeminded player could utilize her code.

months later, an update was added to skyrim that was basically her code, verbatim, lifted directly from the mod, without credit or even permission. this made her so angry that she, at age seventeen, booked a flight to maryland, went to bethesda headquarters and demanded to see todd himself to yell at him.

of course, she was immediately denied this request and escorted out of the building because she was a scary six foot seventeen year old canadian lesbian who had flown all the way to yell at a man who probably had no idea her code was stolen, but she is still legitimately, 100% furious with him to this day

Do the Soggy Bottom Boys have siblings?

Because I'm deeply unwell about this movie, this is something I've been turning over for a minute- especially since we know Pete is decidedly brotherless. Here's what I've got.

Delmar: I’ve touched on this before in one of my earlier fics, but to me Delmar gives very sunshine baby only child energy. Born into a family that always wanted children but ended up with just the one, probably late in life. Got doted on a little too much. I can’t imagine there being many other children around either, whether that’s cousins or just friends. He seems like a lonely child. But he’ll find his people in time.

Pete: Canonically no brothers, but sisters are possible. I somehow still see him with no siblings but a lot of cousins, with the kind of family where they’re all just allowed to run wild and form their own conglomerate. So he’d have a similar experience. I really don’t think he came from a good home, and the lack of anyone to look after him or at least share in the struggle would explain a lot of his resilience/stubbornness, if that makes sense.If he did have any siblings I think they’d be younger, based on his interactions with Wash’s son (“You oughta be in bed, crumbsnatcher.”) But he’s got a clear loyalty to kin, and I can’t imagine him not seeking out his siblings in any way.

Everett: First or second in a family of 4 boys. No sisters. The need to be control- usually reasonable but often over the top, the needless (and honestly masterful) antagonism of the other two for no other reason than his own amusement, and the kindness and patience he shows towards Delmar, the softest and slowest of them- all screams big brother. And for all his skills with other men, he has absolutely no sense with women, with hardly any experience with them in real life. As easily he can play Delmar and Pete, Penny can play him. And it makes him so mad. He likes having things his way, and he’s used to it. Any big brother worth his salt knows how to get the little ones to be lackeys. 

Tommy: The real life Robert Johnson was the youngest of eleven, but his film self is so far removed from the actual man that I’m not counting it. I think youngest is right, probably closer to 7, at the point of child-rearing when everyone’s tired and the oldest ones have started to have their own lives, leaving young Tommy more free range. Makes sense no one noticed when he ran off for the crossroads. But he’s clearly been raised right, real gentle and well-mannered. Of course, a big factor in that is also just being a black man in the South, especially in that era. Just asserting that he exists is seen as wrong. But I like the thought of him having a little cluster of brothers and sisters to help him navigate the world, teaching him etiquette and encouraging his dreams of fame- though apparently not taking the time to teach him guitar.
