Not fan of Cradle Of Filth but Cruelty and the Beast  brings the Elizabeth Bathory story to life through extraordinary lyricism by Dani.
The musical composition is flawless, combining symphonic elements with great riffs & fast drumming by nick barker..

Grace my beloved my angel my sweetest heart I could forgive Louis anything but the disrespect he did to you and your family (I am counting the niece you never knew). Anybody on this earth or this godforsaken website who speaks against you is a fool and a madman and I will defend you always

Opila Bird's chicks! I redesigned them so now each one has a unique appearance. They don't have wall art depictions because they weren't planned, they just kind of happened. Opila and Tarta made them of their own accord but it wasn't seen as something strange or scary, it was treated like when baby animals are born at a zoo. Banban's resort RLLY capitalized on it LOL. Would you buy a plushie of them if they were real?
They're all roughly the same age, but I like to think Birthday Bird acts like the oldest sibling and Little Beak (originally named Shortcake) is treated as the youngest due to her small stature. Icecream Cake and Cupcake don't have apparent genders cuz I rlly couldn't decide when I redesigned them, I just knew I wanted at least one of the pink chicks to be a boy (hence Birthday Bird's roosterlike appearance).
As indicated by his name, Birthday Bird was often taken from his flock and presented to children on their birthdays. He was pretty well behaved and the most friendly towards humans, and was more familiar with the other mascots than his siblings were. He probably liked Banban! He was very well fed-- kids would often give him crumbs of cake if they didn't eat all of it. Of course, Banban would get jealous if they didn't give him a slice too.
Cupcake was born without a beak and wears a bucket over their head to cover it up. I'm not sure if it hurts, but it is definitely hard for them to eat. I imagine they had a specific caretaker that'd feed them by hand every day when the resort was open. After it was abandoned I imagine the chicks slowly got sicker and sicker due to the lack of food, which Cupcake would've suffered the worst from.
I attempted to vary the chicks' genetics a bit, so none of them look exactly like either parent-- They're generally not very Tarta-esque (I assume Tarta was not planned until literally banban 3 & Devilfood's unique coloring was originally meant as a ref to Opila's unused color scheme "the haze") but I wanted Shortcake and Icecream Cake to be slightly more red to reflect Tarta's markings, and I drew Angelfood with blue feathers on her wings to reflect his main feather color. On the other side of the coin, I depicted Devilfood with yellow beak and feet because that's how he looks in Punchrush (which I think is off model since Tarta also has this inconsistency but it's unique anyways). Maybe I should've drawn Cupcake with red feet like Tarta's?
I named and designed these guys during a brief stay in a hospital (don't worry I'm ok now LOL) and I didn't have internet there, so I had to ask the staff and fellow patients for ideas on cake flavors instead of going with my initial plan of using different language words for cake (matching Tarta and Opila's names). So, the placeholders I used then totally stuck lol.

A beast can never be as cruel as a human being, so artistically, so picturesquely cruel.

i love king lindworm as a story and get so frustrated with so many modern attempts to retell it because like they're good stories but they're not This story. is king lindworm a story about love? not really. is it a story about justice? revenge? not really. king lindworm is a story about being born a monster and knowing from birth that you are something repulsive and unwanted. the lindworm desires not to be human but to be wed before its younger brother. the lindworm wants to at least be granted the birthright of its seniority if it can have nothing else. his intended wives find him too monstrous to love and the maiden who comes after them does not do it out of love. she does not trick him out of his skin because she wants to love him but because she wants the monster gone. there are few versions where the lindworm wants to be human, few stories where the lindworm has a choice. would the lindworm still be wed without his humanity? can the lindworm still be loved? does the blame rest heavier on the shoulders of the unwanted son than it does on those who brought him into the world and loathed him for being in it? i am feeling normal about the lindworm.

But seen through the iron sights, the beasts and humans alike look so much like paper cutout targets.

The Beast Below & Kill The Moon as Foils
The interesting thing to me about The Beast Below and Kill the Moon as episodes is that they operate on a very similar concept: there is a living (very BIG) thing that functions as the only thing that keeps large swathes of humanity safe/alive and they both end with a bit of a cop-out where that Thing stays right where it is but how the themes of those episodes are WILDLY different based on how the Doctor&Companiok interactions play out.
The Beast Below is an exploration of how the Doctor does what is necessary, what he thinks is right and kindest to the most number of people, but that sometimes he is wrong, incredibly wrong, and that it is very essential for him to listen to his companions, to give them a choice, and also that at the end of the day, the Doctor is the Star Whale, he is lonely and pained and kind, that this is the ethos of the show: the Doctor is kind but he really needs to be stopped and reminded of it sometimes (really great parallels with the end of the Runaway Bride/Fires of Pompeii, in a way).
But Kill the Moon is all about how the Doctor is right. How he will always be right. That he knows better than his companions, that he always holds all the cards, that he is cruel to teenage girls and tells them they're not special and knew all along what was going to happen but didn't tell his companion just to see what she would do, but her decision didn't matter at the end of the day, not to him, not to the problem at hand, because the Doctor knows everything and is right and God, disregarding the other major problems with this episode it just leaves a sour taste in my mouth in comparison to the Beast Below. That in this episode, the Doctor is not a god that needs to be reminded of his humanity but a god that is cruel and all-knowing and somehow right in that. I've talked about how the Beast Below embodies the ethos of Doctor Who to me; Kill the Moon, at least in how the Doctor acts, feels like the opposite.

What if fairborns start telling ghost stories about Nathan and Gabriel and Annalise the same way they told stories about Marcus
With each tale getting wilder and the three getting more dangerous and gruesome
And during these stories they each gain epithets, and eventually people call them exclusively by their epithets, because names have power, and they are not a power you would ever want to summon
Nathan’s names make sense, many are things people already called him, but now those once school yard insults hold power in the hearts and minds of Fairborn witches
They called him the Beast, for he wasn’t a wolf like his father, because wolves had purpose in their kills, and to the fairborns, Nathan simply killed without thought or reason
They also called him the Halfling, for being both fair and blood
A few had called him the Rebel, for he led a new era of rebellion, not against fairs or bloods, but against the senseless death their hatred had wrought, even fewer called him the Peace Maker, less a remark on him, more a hope for him
Gabriel had nicknames too, though less often by fairborns than bloods, for fairborns called him the Blood, the Alchemist, or on rare occasions the Handler, after all, he had led them on their journey in the first place, and he seemed to hold a control over them that no one else could have
Once or twice, they had called him Beast King, he thinks that may have been his favourite
The bloods called him Traitor, occasionally they still said Mercury’s Boy, though they rarely said it twice
Annalise had new names too, and her’s seemed to cut the deepest, not that anyone would ever know
The first and most obvious was Traitor, often when they called that out at her she and Gabriel would both turn around, and they laughed and laughed every time, no one knew if they realised how terrifying that synced psychotic laughter was (they were both scarier than the Beast could ever be, because they did something he didn’t, they struck with intention, and cold fury)
Then they called her Decimator, Undoer, for as often as she was told that gifts did not define you, it certainly seemed her’s did
Her favourite name had been Beast Queen, though it was a rarity to hear
A few unlucky souls had once called her Poor Girl, Captive, Manipulated, though those names were lost in a river of blood and hearts
They’re names weren’t something spoken lightly, they were not a boogeyman who comes in the night to teach children their lessons, no, their power was great enough that few dared speak even false names
None had dared to speak their true names since Wolfhagen, for fear the wrath they may rain
