Ok, so, I'm a musician/music nerd who's been playing jazz for years and my favorite jazz band literally has carnival influence....

Yall don't know how badly I want to write music inspired by carnivale le croux, like, it's always in the back of my mind how banger it would be to pull out a carousel inspired jazz piece, as it goes on it gets a bit discordant because noe they're in the feywild. Like, it doesn't even have to go that far, just a carnival inspired jazz piece would go so hard.

Sadly, music theory is hard and I've taken a break from music, but I still want to try writing a little something something. No promises tho

Kremy wasn't regretting asking Gideon if he was coming to bed, but he was anxious. He had heard Torbek loudly asking if they had "Consumated their marriage" from Frost. Kremy tried to act like he hadn't heard anything and started putting on his pyjamas.

Gideon had for a moment thought that Kremy was finally done asking if their marrige was ironic, but he could practically see him wating to turn his back to Gideon in order to ask the question. Gideon wasn't gonna take it. He looked Kremy straight in the eyes and asked "Our marrige is just ironic right Kremy?"

Kremy hesitated for a while, just looking into Gideons sad brown eyes before aswering. "No. I'm not sure if it ever was" He said with all the honesty Kremy Le Croux was capable of.

"You know gid I was cursed to fall in love with you on the day we got married" He said almost laughing.

Gideon felt his heart drop "What do you mean?" he asked trying to cover how hurt he was. Was it all just a curse? Gideon had been in love with Kremy for so long now and he had just been cursed to love Gideon.

Kremy didn't really know what to say, but it didn't mean he wasn't gonna try. "Like right before the wedding. All the emotions that I later realised had always been there just, bubbled up and I just started feeling so jealous that you weren't marrying me!"

Gideon looked so hopeful and Kremy melted right there. "You know I kinda like sharing a bedroll with my husband"

"Me too, Kremy"

They laid together into their bedroll. Kremy snugeled to gids side and he felt the genashis' warm arm wrap around him.

Ohh thank you! Another ramble! This time, I'm going to talk about Lochmallow Mysteries (and From Carnival to Chamomile, since it's the prequel to the series)!

So Amara started off as a Legends of Avantris OC - I really love their Once Upon a Witchlight series - but I couldn't bring myself to fuck with the group dynamic to insert her into fanfiction or anything. Whoops. She kind of created herself, I had no intention of making her until I was listening to episode...18, I think it was? And she just sort of happened.

I kept a few things from Witchlight - the swamps, the Carnival la Croux (spelling? Idk how to spell that?) in its own special way, and the less savory goings-on behind the scenes. I wanted her to have a very unique upbringing, and what better way than to grow up in a carnival that cheats and swindles all its customers and most of its staff? She's like Dick Grayson but without the acrobatics!

As for her illusion magicks (and the ability to make illusions solid), I actually had my friend create a Pathfinder character for a one-shot years and years ago. He was able to work some real magic with that one. I've had to seriously nerf Amara from what he created, otherwise there'd be no tension because she'd just POP everything.

Right now, I'm most excited to explore Lochmallow. I've already got three or four books planned out (remind me to write down those ideas so I don't forget them for the love of pete) so there's plenty to explore, but I feel like I need to add more. More characters, more places to go, more things to do. I'm worried that I'm going to get in a little over my head with this one, so I'm holding myself back, but at the same time, I'm trying to let loose the creativity. Not a great combination lol!!
