on your way here, you eyed a certain prize at the place where you count your tickets and you wanted. bad. so you started explaining how this game is basically farm for tickets. one game and you could be up a few hundred.

✩ miles was out of it, though he was pretty hungry not to mention also lost in his girlfriend's voice. he just agreed with everything she said, isn't too out of the ordinary by the way.

✩ you bit your cheek and frowned a little when you realized he wasn't listening so, you just stole his card out of his pocket and continued on with your ticket grind. that's when he came back to his senses.

Crossy Road is a dystopian nightmare if you think about it

You a are a defenseless chicken or other small animal forced to advance endlessly through a harsh world consisting almost entirely of busy highways and train lines, the only signs of nature in this industrial hell being scarce strips of grass and rushing streams full of felled tree trunks.

You cannot ever stop to rest, because if you do, an immense eagle will swoop down onto you and drag you back to the start of your thankless journey.

Even death brings no relief, for as soon as an oncoming vehicle or rushing current brings you doom, you awake once more at the start.

Worse, if you have not paid 3.99 USD for the ad-free version, an advertisement appears every few miserable cycles of reincarnation.

You yourself, the entity behind the screen, can escape this Sisyphean torment by closing the game, but the chicken is not blessed with such a liberty.

It’s entire being is sealed in the code of the game, it has no choice but to keep advancing,

The high score gets higher and higher, but the chicken is given no ascending.

It must keep walking. Trapped for eternity.

Voxel Styles in Game

Voxel Styles in Games often give a sense that the game is casual. Minecraft is quite often a very casual game and so the voxel style is reflective of that using this ideology. Crossy Road is another voxel game and its the kind of game youd play if you were bored on your phone on the bus. Its very casual. These 2 Games contraft heavily as one is a very immersive 3D game and the other is the player tapping to cross the road as a chicken. They contrast very heavily and I feel that is one of the main things about the voxel style. It has alot of variation across its catalogue. Here is a list of games:

Monday was a great time for me personally because it was my 19th birthday, one of the things during that day was go with my parents and family to John’s Incredible Pizza and eat some Brunch there for the most part.

Some of the things I ate there were chicken and pizza with potatoes. I also did check some of the things and while some of the things stayed the same like the design and rides, alot of it has changed after me not coming to there in a long time with some of the rides attractions like the mini golf, bumper cars, and laser Dodge games feeling empty with 1 or 2 people rarely being there at all. The birthday rooms looks more like a place to integrated at by cops for a crime rather than a place to celebrate your birthday with family and friends but that’s just my opinion. The Toon Time Theatre is a great place where I used to go and eat at all the time, watching cartoons, shows, and movies in there (when they had Old Boomerang on there) when I was little, but don’t go to there due to them changing it a bit, replacing some of the old pictures of cartoon characters like Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Yogi Bear, Woody Woodpecker, Scooby-Doo, Bugs Bunny and pics of the mascot bear with movie and tv posters that are alright for the most part but it’s something that you’ll usually see everywhere else, unlike the older pictures and posters which makes them more Special and unique in some way and also some of the colors changes and what they play on the big screen in “Toon Time Theatre” doesn’t interest me like it use to, so yeah, that’s why I don’t usually go there anymore, maybe someday I’ll revisit that, but for now, Nah, it ain’t for me anymore.

I honestly did have a even better fun time playing some of the arcade games there, including Pac-Man but with a giant screen and has multiplayer, Space Invaders Frenzy that also has a giant screen and has multiplayer as well, an arcade verison of Crossy Road, a game machine where u catch popcorn balls to earn points that I love playing as a kid, an Arcade ripoff of Flappy Bird, Hot Wheels: King of the road, a Minion whack a mole game, Super Alpine Racer, Cruis’n Blast, a game where you stack up shapes to make a big tower, and Big Bass Wheel. I also did competed with my nieces and nephew on the Hotwheels arcade game with me winning every single time with one of them either winning only a single round of the game or they didn’t, probably the former. I wouldn’t say the same thing for me and my dad playing the arcade version of connect four however. We completed on there a lot with him on there with him winning almost every single time, much to my dismay but I wasn’t TOO bitter and jealous about it, at least I have fun managing to get a full win in the last round and there so it counts! After that, me, my dad, and my mom went to the Photo Booth to get our picture taken and it came out great, so we and especially mom loved it! After that, I went to play one last game in the big arcade area there, The Twister Arcade Machine or as I like to call it, “Twister: Body Torture Arcade Edition”.

I had a bit of hard time to keep up with what spots it was trying to tell put my hand or feet on with some of the spots being really hard to reach and touch without making a mistake to the point that I lost to the game a few times until I won all of the rounds because I was both flexible and also being very a lot more careful to not make a mistake, thank god I’m still flexible and able stretch my arms and legs a bit longer after all these years! 😅😮‍💨

After that, Me and Mom went on the “Typhoon” Simulator Arcade Ride since that was one I could use the last of my points on my card and we have a blast on there, flying with a toy plane that goes around a big city on the screen, a good time overall with mom having fun on it too! 😁 After that, we decided we were done playing around here and leave, but before that, I took some of the pics of the arcade games that doesn’t work anymore so that I could look at it and show it to all of you who are reading this. Looking at them now, I feel sad 😞 about how they don’t work like they used to anymore with ones that u can’t scan your card on, have a hard time trying to get your points, not function at all, or just be entirely turned off. I wish the people at John’s incredible Pizza would give them away to people especially me or refurbish them so that many people could replay them again or play it for the first time ever but I doubt that’s ever going to happen since 1: they have been getting rid of some of their old stuff as of lately concerning that I remember there used a be an broken Ice Age Ice Hockey near by but when I come back to it on my birthday, it and the rest of the stuff on it was suddenly gone, 2: even if they did decide to sell it or give them away, there will be a big catch like a high price that neither me or my family could ever afford or something to add to their collection of games and equipment, 3: I wouldn’t even know how to fix, repair, or refurbish it and my parents would definitely be against that, especially if it means that I have to pay someone to do it for a very large amount of money, 4: it would be hard for me, my family, and staff members to carry it into our car, fit it inside or on top of it, and especially fit all of them or at least one in our home or the garage with the stuff that we already have in there, and 5: I don’t think they’ll care about all of it since and also because of the fact that there are less people working than before the pandemic, they’ll probably be stuck in ruin until someone gets rid of them, sigh 😔. Hopefully Namco and Konami and many other will bring back DDR, Time Crisis, and many other arcade series like these back into the spotlight with new console and arcade games, remake/remasters, ports, and collections in the near future! But I still have fun after that. After me and my family got home, some of them left to do some errands and I was just going to the good times I have in my room, finally watching Nimona on Netflix for the very first time on my own! Well I was before one of my nieces came while I started to watch it and she decided to butt in and watch it with and while i could’ve watched by myself and told her no thanks, after saying please 🥹, I changed my mind and decided to let her watch it with me while also trying ignore her and tell her to not say any spoilers m she might tell me unintentionally or not due to my other niece warning me that she likes to spoil things a lot all the time, jokes on them however since I read a lot of times during my years at high school!!😏😏

After getting a final birthday meal that my dad got me from my restaurant one of my old childhood friends work at, I enjoyed eating the meal I have while watching the movie with my niece which wasn’t gonna be as bad as I thought it would be even though she ask too many questions and sometimes annoy and bugged me more than she should have, I still love her at the end of the day tho. After all of that, we finish the movie and we both loved it (well mostly me since she didn’t 2/3 of the movie for some reason).

My mom did got me an ice cream cake during the time I and my little niece was in the middle of watching Nimona. Hopefully I will finish it one of these days tho. Overall I would give my my 19th birthday a 9/10 for even if a few things I wanted to do didn’t go the way I wanted to, I still have fun regardless of the outcome and heck, I even got a gifts as well to including some candy and letters from my nieces, air pods pro from my mom, and Kirby’s Return to Dreamland; Fire Emblem Engage, and SpongeBob: The Cosmic Shake as well, it was honestly it was just a great day to be me!

magic voxel is uses a very simplistic ways to model assets in games using basic shapes a cubes but when you draw the lines in mid air it hits the wall that it is closet to

-when messing around with the sizes of the paint brushes and placements i was able to make a sense that faintly resembles a desert and a setting sun

when making this i simply made the legs by putting 4 blocks spaced out then extending them up by 5 then attaching all of them together then going on the back of the chair legs and increasing them up more to make it from a stool to chair then attaching the two together

HP- with the med kit i made a massive rectangle then from that rectangle from the top i added two blocks top of each other then i attached them both together making a handle

to export these assets in to my game i need to press export down in the right hand corner and press on obj this is because the asset is a object then go save it to your folder (please note that when saving don't space the text the file will disappear) in to unreal then you go then press import then click on it then it imports it into unreal

this is the colour pallet of magic voxel looking at it you can see that their is a paint, attach, erase, move buttons, these are shown to us to help us make a model such as the chair and the med kit

in sir carmas work he often has a blocky asthetic that has incredible details such as the lights of the buildings. the colours in voxel art are quite bold which helps his art work as it emphasizes the shapes and structures of the buildings in his art works. but its not without its charm as it can be used to crate very visually pleasing art works that can create a very immersive environment

Endless runner games

Endless runner games are games where you as the player runs until you hit an obstacle. When you hit an obstacle supposedly you could die however you could have lives within the game, supporting you to increase a bigger score. Endless runner games are where you may need tactics and luck within the game. These games are mostly immersed on mobile platforms and some examples can be; temple run, subway surfers, sonic runners adventures, piano tiles, super mario run.

TEMPLE RUN

In Temple run, the core game loop is how the player runs for an infinite amount of play time, constantly running, moving or jumping along a path. What made Temple Run so unique was how there is monkeys chasing a treasure hunter and you had to survive as long as possible, gaining points. This became a highly addictive game on mobile and tablet users. What makes it so different from other games is how it became such a popular game and being praised for its depth and upgrade system.

SUBWAY SURFERS

Subway surfers is a 2012 mobile endless runner game where an inspector and his dog will chase your character. The game highlights it's hip-hop and graffiti theme. The core loop of the game is about how your running on train tracks, trying to not get hit by the trains and obstacles whilst running in a never ending chase from the police and his dog. The game. The game was created with the thought of creating a memory for the creator's son, how he died whilst skating across the railway tracks. The game has smooth and satisfying controls, intense action every time you make a mistake, your one step closer to losing all your progress. Keeps you locked in!

CROSSY ROAD

Crossy road is an action mobile game which released in 2014. The concept of the game was from a joke which nearly everyone knows, 'why did the chicken cross the road?'. It is described as an endless runner game due to the fact you are endlessly running across roads/paths, depending on the theme of the map. The core loop of the game is crossing roads endlessly without being hit by obstacles, e.i. cars. You also gain diversity in character skins that you can unlock along the way of your progress through the game.

SONIC DASH

Sonic dash is a mobile endless runner game which contains the iconic sonic universe within the game. The game core loop of this game is for sonic to avoid obstacles whilst collecting rings, avoiding any enemies! You endlessly get through the green hills and loops without being attacked or hurt, and through beginner levels you can get higher levels, achieving more rings, earning yourself more characters to unlock for example, tails!

MINION RUSH

Minion rush is an endless runner game where its core loop is for minions to avoid obstacles, gain unique buffs within the game and earn bananas. What makes the game unique is obviously having the theme of the game from despicable me, having different minions run endlessly for bananas without hitting any obstacles, using the bananas you collect within the game as a type of currency to earn different costumes.

The concept of endless runner games are simple, have the mechanics of being able to manoeuvre left, right and being able to jump, different games have more mechanics however this is usually the basics, running endlessly without hitting any obstacles. The differences of each endless runner game is definitely the theme each one go for but still keeping up with the similarities, for example sonic collects rings and using the rings as currency they are able to unlock more features within the game. The same goes for minion rush they use bananas as currency to unlock variety of costumes, both are similar however the differences are the theme concepts that are used. Another difference could be that one game may have no buffs at all whilst another could, or they could have no such thing as a currency within the game. What makes an endless runner game successful or unsuccessful could be the background/company which makes the game, responsiveness; how slow, fast your character can be and does the character have a smooth response when moving different directions within the game? A game could be successful just from a sound track they use which can be catchy or have a good tune in general.
