Since I keep seeing people talking about American Horror Story and Kim Kardashian, I'd like to stop and remind everyone that Kim Kardashian is a SCAB and so is everyone who worked on AHS after the Strike was called. Show Runner Ryan Murphy is a SCAB. Everyone who filmed even a minute after the Strike was called is a SCAB.

So.... why'd Peri get assigned Dev as his first godchild?

Jorgen’s usually not the one in charge of assigning godchildren. There’s an entire department that weighs and classifies potentail Godkids to the right Fairy. Although it’s on strike at the moment.

So Jorgen has to do it by hand, until the union negotiations are resolved. Turns out trying to use paperclips is very hard. Itty bitty paperclips. Big muscular biceps. Not a good combo.

Regarding the canada post strike:

PEOPLE NEED TO STAND WITH CUPW

Read their demands, its far from outrageous or impossible like canada post and so many others are making them out to be. Like asking that weekends be staffed with full time staff and not part timers! Like asking to have lunch provided for rural workers!

Also, to anyone buying into the bs about canada post not being able to pay postal workers more: look up how much the exects make and use any and all critical thinking you got.

thank you so much! it pisses me off to see how it's been portrayed, too. i'm not canadian, but my best friend is and i'm pissed that people don't care more. postal workers keep everything running, from every last government establishment to the smallest of businesses... respect their demands for better treatment in the workplace. these people go through absolutely brutal working conditions in order to get people their mail.

Perhaps this is too cynical but whenever someone gets obsessive over whether the fiction and games they enjoy precisely match their politics I begin to doubt that they live out those same values in the real world to the best of their reasonable ability.

In case you haven't heard, the NYT Tech Guild is on strike and trying to get a fair contract.

They are asking us to support their picket line by NOT using the NYT Games or Cooking Apps.

individualism is so toxic there are really people upset the WGA strike will kill or stop their favorite show over hoping writers get fair pay compensation

this might seem dumb but is a genuine question i have… is writing fanfic of mainstream content (Star Wars, Marvel, DC, LOTR) a form of scabbing? because everywhere i look the answer is different and it seems kinda… not really important to email SAG-AFTRA or the WGA to say “sorry misters but can i still write my silly little fanfic or would that be consider some sort of promotion for struck companies?”

Because they said cosplaying is sort of doing that and to please refrain from doing it, but fanfic? To my understanding fanfic is taking canon and saying “uhm actually, what if…” so we should be in the clear, right?

But then again we haven’t been in a position like this since the 1980s and back then social media wasn’t that… big of a deal (I know the writers strike of 2007/2008 happened but I wasn’t writing fanfic back then)

Maybe i’ll never get my answer, maybe is not wrong because i’m not promoting anything by writing X character kiss and fuck Y character and by putting them in situations beyond canon.

Maybe I’m just over reacting and I’m fine.

But if anyone has an answer, i’d like to know for sure, please.
