Anon, you have the. Best. Timing. Ever. I literally just finished an Arcane artstyle study with Katara of the Undercity as a subject!

My favorite Arcane character is and forever shall be Ekko (best boy). Other faves are Viktor (chronic illness baby) and Jinx (trauma gremlin).

As for the S1 scene... Besides the finale and that breathtaking Guns for Hire sequence? The Ekko/Jinx fight from ep 7. It broke me. (And turned me into a Timebomb shipper. Which was arguably worse.)

she is blue, like the TARDIS - his TARDIS, her second mother. blue like the diary modelled after it.

he is orange, like the life she breathed back into him, lifetimes sealed in a single kiss. (clock that blue light flare on river too-!!)

blue and orange. orange and blue. the colours where they come to life.

even his TARDIS interior is blue and orange: the echo of a timeline that still lingers in soft whispers.

from an artistic perspective, these colours were probably only used together so often because they're complementary, which can add depth and distinction to a shot. but still, it feels meaningful: they're complementary. just like river and the doctor. so different, and yet they look and work perfectly together.

now, if you'll allow me to stretch the point a little further, let's go back to lake silencio, at the junction where sand meets water:

(i'm calling this a stretch because i'm well aware the sand is more yellow than orange, lol. but those colours are analogous so... i figured the idea was worth keeping in)

she emerges from the water, so cold, so blue.

he descends from the sands, golden and warm.

they meet where land meets water, orange yellow meeting blue. he is the sun and she his sky, and at 5:02pm, the universe folds itself around them, curling in on the point where these colours converge.

Hi everyone!!!

This is just something small, but I am REALLY paranoid about this and I just realized that what I feared was the case IS ACTUALLY TRUE😅😫

THIS IS A SIDEBLOG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am NOT good with technology and the last time I used tumblr before this April was 2017 (it changed a lot😳). I genuinely thought I was making a NEW blog, but unfortunately all likes and follows come from my old blog @oerflink 😭😭😭😭😭 that blog is only for like reblogging fashion history plus whatever I want…tbh if I could find a way to switch main/sideblog I would!! Myokk is just to post my little sketches and yap about Eloise and Hogwarts legacy💓💓

But the part that genuinely makes me sad is that all of you show up as MUTUALS on my side of things and I JUST realized that it only shows up like that for me😭😭😭 I’m pretty shy so at first I only started commenting once we’re mutuals…but now I realize that was one sided bahahahahahahahahahahahahahah. I try to comment a lot bc a) I LOVE talking to all of you about your characters etc & b) so you would know. But I genuinely thought it showed up as we are mutuals bc that’s how it is for me🥹💓🙏

I cannot express how much I LOVE small fandoms because we're all actually like a small village of two and half people where everyone knows everyone and I mean in in the BEST WAY POSSIBLE because this bring the funniest stories ever.

Probably one of my most precious fandom experience I've ever had in a HUGE time of my internet existence happened because I was following one really cool modern AU hmc book fanfiction. And when I really like something I engage with it as much as it's possible to do so, and so I was leaving a pretty big comments (1k+ words each) under every chapter just ranting about the plot, my emotions, predictions and also fitting in some of my favourite hcs. Me and the author had a little chat in the comments for a while, and that's not the main point of the story, but we had pretty similar visions and headcanons for the characters and were both laughing about it.

The funniest thing happened when in one of the chapters they randomly mentioned one of my favourite, random fandom rare pairs, never mentioned anywhere in the fanfiction fandom page before (yes, Justiman. It WAS Justiman) as a canon in the fix instead of canonical pair-up the characters had.

Needless to say I was the happiest person in the world, immediately writing a huge paragraph about how I was absolutely sure that I was the only person shopping them and how good it fit into all the other small details in the fic. Then, between the lines, I asked them where did they get the idea of a ship, because god how happy I was. They said they got the idea from Tumblr and immediately jumped aboard. I asked If they can tell me the name of the account. They did.

I found the NikPrice fandom pretty late in the year but it has kept me going through tough months and has led me into an insane creative streak like I never had before. Everyone has been so kind and I truly couldn't ask for better comrades in shipping.
