37 Crochet Wedding Project Ideas
Inspired by wedding ceremonies, projects can be easily manipulated to change things up to match themes and the loving couple that’s about to tie the knot.
My collection of free patterns are inspired by the actual ceremony or maybe even a customized gift for the happy couple to be.

Yesterday's progress (left) versus today's progress (right).
Just finished row 51, and joined to the second skein. It looks like it's going to start fading back to dark blue within the next row.
Current width is 31" or about 78cm.
I might take a day or two off.
Edit: I also wanted to say, I really appreciate everyone who leaves nice comments on my update posts. I read them all and they make me really happy. I end up not reblogging to reply to everyone because I don't want to spam it, but if you have left me nice notes, thank you 💙

In celebration of finishing five of my six shawls for my wedding I have released the pattern for my "on the fly" bridesmaid shawl.
It's made of Bamboo pop on a US 6 needle. Because I hate knitting the same thing twice I did attempt to make this pattern customizable. The lace is both charted and writen out for convenience.

I apologize if the charting is off, I don't read charts for lace often and have never practiced before hand.

ring bearer damien! i know im a little late to the whole wedding thing but crocheting takes a while. i really like ur twitter au and i wanted to make some fanart but i cant draw if my life depended on it, but i do know how to crochet. crocheting dolls isnt my strong suit but i hope you like it. (expect more fan-crochet stuff cuz i really like ur content)
i gave him a red bow for robin (also because i found that red yarn on my floor). the rings are ones i already own. the “pillow” is a mix of starfire and nightwing colors. and i imagine alfred tried to gel damiens hair down but one piece kept sticking up.
I just want you to know that you have me deadass crying it tf up at 4:45am
I literally love this SO much I can't even begin to explain. I love YOU so much I can't even explain. Can I PRETTY PLEASE use this in my AU 🥺 you can say no if you want, I'd totally understand!! Either way I still adore you so fucking hard.
Just know that like in the realm of artistry where threads intertwine and colors sing, your crochet masterpiece has emerged as a light in my life. Every time I look away only to look back at this, I can see your extraordinary talent and the beauty that springs forth from your hands.
Your creation has touched my heart in ways that words just can't capture. I thank the gods for bestowing upon me the gift of sight so that I was given the opportunity to grow and one day lay my eyes upon your creation.
You've graced my eyes with your creation and generosity. May the muses guide and ensure your artistic mind never fails you.

Crochet Wedding Day Memory Makers
Crochet Wedding Patterns
Say ‘yes’ to the crochet patterns designed specifically for weddings. To some people, weddings are the highlight of moving a chapter in life.
I’ve been working on the Ring Bearer’s Crochet Pillow in tutorial format. I’ve been to three weddings in my life. Two of the three have been low-key weddings where the bride and groom were focused on what they could do themselves…

Here's Compost! She's my Trubbish bag that I made cuz I love Trubbish. They aren't in the pic but she also has little feet!
Also wanted to show off the pins on the strap. I've got a ton more, but these are the ones I like to go out with. Also, I made the Gear Station icon, bug type icon, and bolt badge pins!

Prior progress (left) vs updated progress (right)
I just finished the second skein. Each row is now taking around 2-4 hours, but we’re in a complex section.
Only 39 rows to go.
I enjoy how much the color shifts depending on lighting. Imo the true color is an average of these two photos.

The lessons in gift knitting
Over the last few months I have been busy knitting away on six shawls for my bridesmaids to wear at my wedding. I had spent a few weeks flip flopping on if I wanted to attempt it but in the end I’m glad I did.
While it is still about three months before I give them each their shawl, I’ve been thinking a lot about this project and how I have felt the last four months. I enjoyed this project. I liked the creative freedom it gave me and the ability to stretch my design muscles.

Behold the Beaded Bride!
I consider this my Magnum Opus as I’m not doing this again anytime soon! I did this back in 07-08 (I think) for my mom for Christmas. She was made using the 1901 French Bridal Gown from the Paradise Collection crochet series.
This is the materials and the beginning of the skirt pattern. Yup, you read that right-1000 sequins! (So it’s more sequined than beaded but whatever),Luckily Sis would string stuff for me whenever she got frustrated with homework/her video games.
It’s made in two sections; the bodice:
and the skirt. Both are rather simple; it’s the appliques that make it really fancy. The medallions were crocheted first and the lines of sequins or beads done up separately. Then using the template in the pattern you glued the pieces onto a thin piece of fabric to create the appliques. These you would cut out and glue onto the gown (which is why it hangs funny in places)
The circle medallions are spaced all around the bottom and the edges of the skirt are heavily beaded as well. You can also see the sleeve appliques here.
Here you can see the beaded choker and headdress. I had to redo some of the hanging beads as mice had chewed it! (but thankfully it was easy to fix)
Her veil is HUGE. It’s crochet beaded all along the edge and features another applique at the bottom.
Close up. I love the butterfly here matches the one on her bodice.
Her bouquet! The outer edge has a row of beads ans sequins. The mice ate the ribbon roses so I had to replace them; I like these better anyway. She also had a beaded purse but the mice destroyed it and I’m not inclined to make another one (I’m just thankful it wasn’t anything else!)
It’s been about 15 years and I’m STILL impressed I managed to make this! I hope you enjoyed seeing it:)
