A BUSY JUNE SO FAR

I think of all the Pokemon, Cryogonal feels like the least "Pokemon" in terms of design. Which is actually really in line with it being a snowflake, which are also commonly thought of as "one of a kind". Very clever in retrospect!

I think ive got a good idea for my next warm knit--wool legwarmers that go up to the thigh. I'd only be wearing them in my wheelchair so I'm hoping them staying up wont be an issue. I was initially thinking long underwear but I think I could eliminate most of the need for washing by just ... not doing a crotch ? Also idk how to knit a crotch anyway, and it's my legs that get horribly cold. I have quite a lot of pink laceweight millspun wool that I think should be enough. Very excited to get started on it... basically will just be a long tube with increases so it should be easy enough.

My boyfriend’s family does an ornament exchange every Christmas. The last two years I made crochet snowflakes but I’ve been so busy that I didn’t make one this year. Well, I was immediately asked by two different relatives before the party really started if I had made a snowflake because they wanted to try and get it during the exchange. So, I found a chart online really quick, drove to get supplies, and made a snowflake out of this tinsel yarn to add to the exchange. I finished it within like 30 minutes as the party was starting. We exchange them white elephant style so they can be stolen if someone picks it. Mine was stolen twice very quickly and ended up with one of the ladies who had asked about it last year and this year. It’s so nice that it was appreciated, and to be included in this tradition.

Tried out an *adorable pattern for making these little Christmas wreaths recently, and I rather like how it turned out!

*That didn't require me to buy additional bits and bobs in order to complete it.

I think you can tell which of these was my first. Ended up modifying the pattern a slight bit to make the middle less wide, and I like how it turned out as a result a lot more. I like the Green/White combo better, too. (Still might make a few Green/Red.) Will likely make a few more to give away as part of the plates of baked-goodies we typically gift to people during the holidays. 🎁🍪🍫
