Here’s a sneak peek at some upcoming items for my shop! These cute and classy coasters in winter colors are a variation of the “fan and v” stitch, which gives them a nice varied texture.
These will be sold in sets of four, and i’m still figuring out a good price point. If any of y’all have tips on that, please give me a shout.

If somebody in your life offers to knit or crochet or, really, create anything for you, please be an active participant in the creation of the piece they are making. I adore making and gifting things, but nothing bums me out quicker than a person who passively just goes "okay," to my ideas about what I'm making them - it can send the message that they won't like it, or that they don't care, even if they're happy about my offering. The back-and-forth feedback is a great way to make sure that you are being gifted something that was truly worth the time, effort, expertise, and money that will inevitably go into the gift!
I know it's really hard to be an active participant, believe me, I'm an anxious ball of horror, but it will only do good for both parties to interact in this situation. It is a big deal to be offered a hand-crafted gift, but it's also something we want you to love and use, and that can only happen if you tell us what would make you fall in love with what we create.

Pull them out to impress your guests or simply enjoy the relaxing blues with your morning cup of coffee. These coasters are perfect for any occasion, and also make a wonderful housewarming gift! I've uploaded the entire booklet for anyone who wants it. No charge, just have fun! Sorry about the terrifying corn man. There's nothing I can do about him.
Enterprise became Lily's Sugar and Cream, so any of their dishcloth yarns will work perfectly.
Quick Tip: The booklet says to use a 2mm hook unless specified. This is absolutely stupid. Your hands will fall off. Use a 3.5mm. You'll get the tight gauge, and the items will only be about an inch larger. By my estimation, it adds about 20-30 yards for any main color, which is a fair swap for being able to use your hands when you're done.

being a knitter/crocheter with a grudge against family members (it's justified. they are snobby, classist, have absolutely zero filter in a very negative way and will sidestep apologizing if you call them on it) is like. okay yep. you're getting a cardigan, you're getting a piece of wall art and some scrunchies. you're getting scrunchies and slippers, you're getting a very intricately designed hat or a pair of colorwork socks, and you? you are getting dishcloths in colors I choose. no heirloom blanket, pillow covers, ornaments or sweaters for you fuckers.
