MASKED
(18+)
Pairing: Matthew Gray Gubler x Female!Reader
Word Count: ~ 5K
Warnings: smut; mask.k!nk (kinda), creampie
Summary: When tasked with directing a new episode focused on y/c/n, Matthew and Y/N unexpectedly uncover a shared affinity for masks
A/N: Hey my loves! I know I promised an MGG director smut, but after giving it some thought, I realized the story I have in mind needs more development so it´s going to be a multi-part fic. Stay tuned for that! In the meantime, here's a little taste of a MGG smut.
Please let me know if you guys enjoyed the visuals. I love to see them in works so I wanted to try it out.
English is not my first language. I hope you all enjoy it, and any and all comments are appreciated 🍒
Friday 11pm - Quixote Studios Trailer Park - West Hollywood.
Being an actress on the set of Criminal Minds meant that a time would eventually come when she'd receive a script with her character´s name in the title.
"Y/C/N – Directed by Matthew Gray Gubler" She read it out loud as she stared at the cover page of the script.
Y/N knew, she didn't even need to flip through the pages to know that Y/C/N was clearly about to go through some traumatic event in her story development as the youngst and newest member of the BAU.
She was thankful; yes, don't get it wrong, she´d been waiting for an opportunity to take her own storyline even further since she joined the show almost a two years ago, but she didn't expect a 'Y/C/N" episode, especially not one directed by Matthew.
With his knack for blending spine-chilling suspense with heart-wrenching drama, it was bound to be a wild ride - equal parts terrifying and captivating.
With a laugh, she muttered to herself, "Well, this calls for a glass of wine,". She made her way to the small refrigerator tucked into the corner, it was late, everyone was already wrapped for the week, and a sip wouldn't hurt.
After pouring herself a generous portion of red, she returned to her seat on the couch.
The script lay before her, gently resting on her legs, feeling its weight against her skin. With a delicate touch, she let her fingers skim the cover, tracing the intricate patterns and feeling the slight texture beneath her fingertips.
As she opened the script, her eyes were immediately drawn to a sketch that covered the opening page. Unmistakably one of Gubler’s stills. Matthew had a very particular way of bringing his visions to life—through meticulously drawn storyboards.
And there, in stark contrast to the white of the page, was the figure that would probably haunt her dreams for nights to come.
No expression adorned its featureless face; the black mask it wore was void of emotion and intent. It seemed to leer at her from the page, its presence ominous and foreboding. Her eyes then drifted to the bottom right corner of the picture, where the word "Phlegethon" was written in bold letters.
Intrigued, she skimmed through the pages, scanning the lines of dialogue in search of any clues that might offer insight into the enigmatic masked figure and the direction of the episode.
And then, she found it—a classic Spencer Reid rambling session. A familiar warmth spread through her as she encountered the distinctive style of the beloved character. "Perfect," she thought, a soft smile gracing her lips as she sipped on her wine before delving deeper into the script.
(BAU CONFERENCE ROOM - LATE NIGHT) The team is gathered around the meeting table, discussing the details of the new case. David Rossi: "I've just never seen this type of burning technique before, how the victims are left with only their heads burnt to a crisp, leaving behind blackened, charred skin." (Pauses) "Guess the unsub has a flair for the dramatic." Spencer Reid: "I know how he's killing them." (Rises from his seat) "It's right there, he's giving us a clue." (Approaches the board and rearranges the crime scene pictures - depicting black letters on walls behind the victims) "P" "H" "L" "E" (Looks back at the table again) "He's spelling his name." (Pauses again) "Phlegethon." JJ: "Reid, English, please."
Spencer Reid: "Phlegethon... In Greek mythology, Phlegethon is one of the five rivers of the Underworld, known for its fiery nature and its association with punishment and destruction. It's often described as a river of fire, a torrent of burning flames that consumes everything in its path." (Motions at the pictures again) "He's achieving this burning technique by painting the victims' faces with Greek fire. Greek fire, also known as 'sea fire' or 'liquid fire,' was a devastating incendiary weapon used by the Byzantine Empire during naval battles. It's said to have been composed of a mixture of various substances, including petroleum, sulfur, and quicklime, which probably explains the smell the firefighters reported." (Sits back down) "By painting the victims' faces with Greek fire, the unsub is ensuring that the fire burns with intense heat in those specific areas, consuming the skin with a ferocity unmatched by conventional flames, leaving behind only blackened, charred remnants." Emily Prentiss: (Confused) "But that doesn't explain the sheer brutality of the wounds found in the victims' bodies." Y/C/N: "Or the masks he reportedly wears, as mentioned by Marianne Smith, the almost third victim who managed to escape." Spencer Reid: "It's possible that the masks serve a dual purpose. Firstly, they could serve as a grim reminder of his handiwork, a twisted reflection of the charred, disfigured faces left behind by his method of killing." (Pounders for a second) "Secondly, the masks could also provide a layer of anonymity, allowing him to operate without fear of being identified. By concealing his face, he's able to move freely without leaving behind any recognizable features, making it harder for law enforcement to track him down." Luke Alvez: "The beatings could serve as a means of subduing or torturing his victims. The physical violence may not only serve to incapacitate them but also to instill fear and control, further amplifying their suffering."
Y/N lifted her eyes from the paper, bringing the glass to her lips. The smooth taste of the wine coated her tongue as she pondered the words she had just read. Eventually, she came to realize that kidnapping was what connected Y/C/N to that creppy man. As the BAU delved deeper into their investigation to catch Phlegethon, Y/C/N's would fall victim to his clutches.
Reading through the script, she couldn't help but flinch at the vivid descriptions of the torture scenes her character would endure. Well … there it was - the trauma.
Each page turned brought forth mounting tension, yet, amidst the fear and apprehension, there was also a strange sense of excitement. As an actress, she relished the opportunity to delve into the depths of her character's psyche, and portray the resilience and strength needed to survive such harrowing circumstances.
The quiet of her trailer is suddenly shattered by the creak of the door, causing her to jump in her seat. Before she could react, the door swung open, revealing a person standing in the doorway, their face obscured by a dark, featureless mask.
She let out a piercing scream, panic setting in as she scrambled backwards with her eyes wide with terror.
Then a sound cuts through the air: laughter, the unknown person in the mask reaches up, removing it and revealing a familiar face.
"GUBLER! You son of a bitch, you scared the shit out of me!" she exclaimed as she stood up to smack him in the arm.
“Sorry, I couldn't resist," he said between laughs. "But you have to admit, it was pretty good."
Shaking her head in disapproval, she sat back down, "Yeah, yeah, good one."
With a soft click of the door behind him, Matthew fully entered the room and threw the mask into Y/N’s lap. She glanced down at it, then back up at at her co-star as he took a seat beside her on the sofa.
"Soooo…. What did you think?" He asked as he picked up the script.
"Well… It's intense, to say the least." She let out a shaky laugh. "I mean, the storyline is gripping, but those torture scenes... They're pretty chilling."
"Yeah, it's definitely going to push some boundaries," he commented, glancing down at the mask. "Speaking of which, what did you think of him? Does the mask capture the essence of Phlegethon?"
"It's... haunting," she murmured softly. "Definitely adds to the creep factor, gives me chills just to look at it."
A playful smirk tugged at the corners of his lips.“Did you see who I cast for the role?"
She looked up at him, curiosity evident in her expression as her eyebrows rose slightly. "Who did you cast?"
“You didn't even look at the casting?" he teased, shaking his head in disbelief.
"I was too caught up in the story," she admitted with a sheepish grin as she took the script out of his hands and flipped to the last pages.
STARRING: David Rossi - Joe Mantegna Emily Prentiss - Paget Brewster Dr. Spencer Reid - Matthew Gray Gubler Phlegethon - Matthew Gray Gubler Y/C/N Y/C/LN - Y/N Y/L/N Jennifer Jareau - A.J. She stared in disbelief, her eyes widening with surprise. "What? No way”
"Oh, way, my sweet Y/N," he murmurs as he swiftly snatched the mask from her right leg. His fingers accidentally touching her exposed skin. Goosebumps immediately rose on her legs involuntarily.
With a wide smile he places the mask on "I'm gonna be haunting your dreams tonight," he whispered in a spooky voice.
As Matthew waved his hands in a ghostly manner in front of her face, she stood still, analyzing his barely noticeable features under the mask. In the dimly lit trailer, only accompanied by the small hum of her mini-fridge, she found it weird how into it she was getting by seeing Matthew with a mask on.
It wasn't that he needed to cover his face to look good, I mean, have you seen the man? He looks good all the damn time. But there was something strangely appealing about the way he looked in that eerie disguise. Creepy, but good.
Her heart was beating a little faster as she caught herself admiring the contours of his jawline, the way his nose perked up under the mask, and how his slender neck appeared from the gap between the mask and his slightly unbuttoned oversized patterned shirt.
Now silently standing before her, there was something undeniably hot about the mysterious aura he exuded.
Suddenly he reached out, his hand lightly resting on her arm. "I'm sorry, did I actually scare you?"
She cleared her throat nervously. "No, no," she waved her hand dismissively, trying to brush off the effect he was having on her.
"You're sure?" he pressed, adding reassuring pressure to her skin.
Her skin was warm, soft, so couldn’t help but notice how goosebumps formed on her skin under his fingers.
"Yeah, it was just..." She sighed, not wanting to give away the fact that she actually felt turned on by this. "It was weird seeing you like this."
Unconsciously she let her hand meet his cheek, analyzing the way the black fabric hugged his features without giving his identity away. “You look, I don’t know... different."
Now it was his turn to get goosebumps. He could feel his face getting hotter as her hand caressed the shape of his jawline. The fluster creeping up his neck was probably visible to her as she studied his masked face attentively.
He locked his eyes on hers and he couldn't shake the feeling that he was witnessing something beyond the ordinary. Was he seeing things, or was that a glimmer of lust? Desire? Her cheeks flushed with a warmth that mirrored his own, her delicate touch tracing the contours of the mask with an intimacy that set his pulse racing. Her breathing unstable, coming out in small quickened breaths.
It couldn't be... could it? Was the mask somehow affecting her, stirring something she wouldn’t dare to acknowledge?
The mere thought made his heart pound faster in his chest and he swallowed hard when he noticed the unmistakable tightness in his pants.
"Different how?" His voice was low as their proximity increased, so close now that if either dared the only thing separating them was the black fabric.
She took a deep breath,"You look... mysterious,".
He chuckled slightly “Is that a good thing?”
“Humm… yeah” her tongue darted out to wet her lips before she caused her bottom lip in between her teeth. “a very good thing.”
He was definitely not seeing things, if he ever did need a confirmation that was it. As she flashed them a smile with her bottom lip caught up in between her teeth his mind was racing at 1000 mph. She looks so innocent before him, so soft and fragile, but the look on her eyes was that of darkness and desire and he couldn’t ignore it even if he tried.
"Do you like that?" His voice was a low, teasing murmur, and although concealed by the mask, she could sense the mischievous lift of his eyebrows. “Do you like how mysterious I look”
She swallowed hard as her pulse quickening at the playful challenge in his voice. "I do," she confessed.
"You know… I’ve got to be very honest Y/N" the pressure he applied on her arm raised as he carefully knead the skin under his finger tips. "I could get used to you looking at me like that."
A small, innocent smile adorned her lips “And how exactly am I looking at you?"
He chuckled softly, his smirk growing wider "You really want me to describe what I see in your eyes?"
She simply nodded in confirmation.
He gently took her chin in his hand, tilting her head up "Okay," he murmured, his thumb traced the contour of her jawline. "Let's see... I’m sensing …a mixture of desire and curiosity. It's like you've just discovered something new about yourself… something exciting and a little dangerous.”
She felt her cheeks flush gently looked away.
“No, eyes on me!” He commanded holding her face in place “You’re scared but also excited…. I would even dare to say, turned on…”
Her eyes widened in surprised as she came to realize she wasn’t being a subtle as she planned. “I.. I… don’t … what?”
He chuckled as she struggled to find the right words. “It’s okay I feel the same… I’m actually pretty worked up to”
Her expression lit up “You are?”
He nodded his head in confirmation “You have no idea how much you’re driving me crazy right now”
She looked unsure, confused even like she could never believe the undeniable and pretty noticeable effect she was having on him.
“Do you want me to show you Sweetheart?” His left hand met hers.
Without being able to form a proper answer, she uttered a simple, “Please.”
Matthew took her hand and placed it on the visible bulge that imprinted his pants. Her eyes momentarily left his covered face to glance down, trying her best to not start moaning at how good his cock felt under her touch.
She began to caress him, feeling the heat and firmness through the fabric. Her fingers traced the outline of his erection, eliciting a throaty groan from him as he threw his head back.
Her strokes grew more deliberate, fingers gliding over the hard ridge and pressing lightly, teasing him and feeling the way his cock throbbed under her hand. As she continued to caress him, she felt the tension in his body build, his hips subtly rocking forward, seeking more of the pleasure she was giving.
Unable to resist any longer he moved up his mask just enough before he reached forward, tangling his fingers in her hair and pulling her close. He pressed his lips to her neck, kissing a trail along her sensitive skin, earning a sweet moan.
His other hand slid down to her chest, gently caressing her breast through the fabric of her dress.
His other hand slid down to her chest, gently caressing her breast through the fabric of her dress. “Is this okay?” Matthew whispered
Y/N’s breath caught in her throat as she arched into his touch, a soft moan escaping her lips. “Yes,” she breathed, her voice tinged with longing, reveling in the sensation of his hands on her body.
He kissed right below her ear before he spoke “Tell me what are you thinking right now?”
Her eyes fluttering closed. “You’re making it hard to think,” she admitted.
“Good,” he murmured, “Then I’m doing something right”
He leaned down to meet her lips, his tongue lightly sweeping over her bottom lip. She surrendered to the kiss, her body shuddering as his tongue danced with hers. Her fingers found their way to the back of his neck, gently tangling in the curls that peeked out from under the mask.
With a soft moan, she deepened the kiss, tugging on the collar of his shirt to bring him closer. He followed her lead, pressing against her as she laid back.
His fingers trailed along her exposed thigh, the fabric of her dress riding up as she wrapped herself around him.
He melted into her, his breath mingling with hers as a quiet, involuntary moan escaped his lips, intensifying the throb of his cock against the fabric of his pants.
His teeth grazed the delicate skin of her neck, and with a sigh, she tilted her head to the side, granting him access as he began to suckle gently on her skin, leaving a trail of warm kisses in his wake.
"Fuck," she moaned as she pressed herself closer to him, his breath hitched as he rocked his hips against her, the friction growing intense between them. Their bodies moved together, and it was becoming almost unbearable as they both craved more.
Her hands tugged at his shirt, desperate for more contact, and he let out a low groan, his fingers gripping her hips tighter, holding her close and increasing the pressure against her core.
“Matthew” She panted, her voice filled with urgency, "we shouldn't be doing this here."
"Do you want me to stop?" he asked, his breath hot against her skin.
"Please no!” she sounded desperate, her body betraying her protests as she grownd her hips against his croch. "It´s just.. we're at work," she pleaded, torn between desire and reason.
He chuckled softly, his lips still trailing kisses along her neck. "You're right," he murmured, his hand gently moving the strap of her dress down, exposing more of her soft skin. "We really shouldn't be doing this."
His hand skimmed over her breast, his touch gentle yet possessive as he caressed her through her bra. She shuddered, her skin breaking out in goosebumps at his touch. "But I don't think I can stop now," he whispered, his voice husky with desire, as he pulled the straps down, exposing her breasts to his hungry gaze.
"Some… Someone…” she stumbled her words, her voice tinged with urgency. "Someone could walk in any minute."
But her protests were met with the delicious sensation of his lips circling around her left nipple, lightly grazing it with his teeth. A whine escaped her lips as his hand kneaded her right breast, alternating between a gentle caresses and rougher grabs.
"Then tell me to stop, Y/N" he challenged, his hands moving to the hem of her dress, slowly raising it up as he positioned himself between her legs. His touch was firm as his lips brushed against the skin of her hip, teasing her with their proximity.
She moaned, her voice a desperate plea as she pushed his head down, craving more of his touch. He responded eagerly, leaving an open-mouthed kiss on the skin of her stomach.
"What if someone hears?" Her eyes searched for some type of reassurance as he settled his head between her thighs.
"What if?" he asked as he placed a kiss inside her thigh "Just let them hear how good I'm making you feel."
She let out a moan, her breath hitching with desire before she quipped "Wait!"
"Yes, sweetheart?" He raised his head to look at her, his hands rested on her thighs where his fingers traced small circles, teasing and tempting her further.
With a swift movement, she reached up and pulled the mask off his face. "This was fun but I want to see your face when you eat me out,".
That earned a wholeheartedly laugh, his eyes sparkling in the dim light now that the mask was gone. "You've got it," he replied.
His fingers gently moved her panties to the side, and as soon as she was bare before him, he couldn't help but let out a groan at the sight of her, so wet and inviting, begging for his touch.
"I've been dying to taste you," he murmured, his eyes locked on hers as he lowered himself between her legs. Then, without breaking eye contact, his tongue made contact with her slit, eliciting a gasp of pleasure from her lips.
Her back arched in response, and her hand flew to his hair as he explored her with his tongue. The room was filled with the sounds of wetness, and hums of pleasure.
His tongue drew circles on her clit before taking a long stripe from bottom to top, catching her bud between his lips once again. "You taste better than I've ever imagined,".
His fingers traced a path from her hip to her lips, and she eagerly welcomed them into her mouth, coating them with her saliva. A moan escaped him, sending vibrations against her clit and intensifying the pleasure coursing through her body.
As she threw her head back in ecstasy, he took his fingers and lightly breached her entrance, initiating a slow, pumping motion. Her grip on his hair tightened, seeking steadiness. He continued to explore her with his fingers, feeling her walls clench around him in response to his movements. With each thrust, she felt herself edging closer, unable to contain the building tension within her body.
"You look so pretty," he whispered.
"Matthew," she moaned, her voice barely above a whisper, "don't stop."
"Can you please cum on my tongue," he pleaded. "You taste so good, baby."
Her legs trembled as her cunt dripped and he hungrily lapped up every essence, savoring the taste of her pleasure.
Her legs trembled as she ran her hands through her hair, trying to steady her breathing.
He sat up in front of her, a satisfied smile playing on his moist lips. "You're incredible," he murmured, his voice filled with admiration "I could do that all day."
"Me too," she chuckled as she sat up, meeting his lips in a desperate kiss. She undid the buttons on his shirt, each one revealing more of his chest.
"Arms up," he instructed as he rose in his feet, with ease he swiftly removed her dress and bra, revealing her soft skin, adorned only in her panties.
His hand met her cheek, his touch gentle yet possessive, as he stood before her.
A soft sigh escaped his lips as she leaned forward, letting her fingers trace the outline of his bulge. With delicate movements, she unbuttoned his pants, and they fell to the floor with a soft thud. Carefully, she wrapped her fingers around him, lightly pumping his cock before taking his pink tip into her mouth. His head flew back, a guttural moan escaping his lips as she took him deeper, her tongue swirling around him with precision.
"You're going to have to stop," he gasped, his fingers entangled in her hair as she looked up at him, her mouth still working wonders on him.
“Please," he pleaded, his voice thick with desire, "I need to be inside of you."
She released him with a soft pop, and he felt like he could have cum right then and there, especially with that smile she just flashed him. God, she looked so pretty kneeling before him like that.
He reached forward, wrapping his fingers around her neck gently, and she followed his lead, sinking back onto the sofa. He lowered himself on top of her, his weight pressing into her as he settled between her legs.
With a hungry look in his eyes, he reached between them to grab his thick and throbbing cock. Slowly, he guided it to her entrance, teasing her with the tip as he felt her wetness coating him. With a slow motion against her slick folds he finally sank into her.
She was a moaning mess against his lips as he fully bottomed out, her walls stretching deliciously around him, welcoming him deeper.
He began to move, savoring the feeling of her warmth enveloping him. His movements increased in speed and intensity as her moans grew louder, filling the room with the sound of their bodies coming together.
He glanced down, watching as her wet cunt hungrily swallowed his cock, now glistening with her juices. The sight of himself disappearing inside her, inch by inch, was almost too much to bear.
"Fuck, you look so good taking all of me," he growled, his voice thick with lust. His hips moved with primal intensity, driving into her with a fierce, unrelenting rhythm.
Her moans grew louder and more desperate as he filled her completely. "Don't stop. Please, don't stop."
"I won't," he promised, his breath hot against her ear. "Not until you cum on my cock."
He reached down, his thumb finding her clit, circling it with just the right amount of pressure. She cried out, her body arching into him as the added stimulation pushed her closer to the edge.
“Oh my God," she panted, her breaths coming in short, ragged gasps.
"I can feel you squeezing me." He groaned, his thrusts becoming progressively urgent and demanding. "You're going to cum for me, sweethart?"
"Yes," she whimpered, her nails digging into his back as she clung to him. "Yes, I'm so close."
A final, powerful thrust was all it took for her walls to clench around him as she reached her peak, her body trembling with the force of her release. He groaned in satisfaction, feeling her shudder beneath him.
The sensation of her pulsing around him was his undoing, he had to cum. He was about to pull out, but she circled her legs around him, holding him in place.
"Keep going," she gasped, her voice barely coarse.
"Oh, please don't," he whispered, his voice trembling. "I'm not going to last."
"Please, come inside of me."
"Are you sure?" he asked, his eyes searching hers.
"Yes, please," she pleaded. "Fill me up."
With a guttural moan, he couldn't hold back any longer. His body trembled fast against hers as he released inside, filling her with his warmth. "Fuck," he muttered, his climax hitting him hard.
He collapsed on top of her, both of them breathing heavily as they layed intertwined.
She smiled up at him, a satisfied look in her eyes. "That was amazing," she whispered, running her fingers through his hair.
He kissed her forehead gently and brushed a strand of hair from her face. "You're incredible," he whispered, pressing a soft kiss to her swollen lips.
Matthew reached for the tissue box on the counter, gently cleaning her up. He got up, and she adjusted her panties back into place.
Extending his hand, he helped her to her feet. He found her bra first and handed it to her with a soft smile.
“Here you go,” he said, his voice warm. She slipped her arms through the straps, and he stepped closer, clasping it at the back with ease. His fingers brushed lightly against her skin, and he placed a kiss on her shoulder. Next, he picked up her dress and held it out for her. As she got dressed, he turned to find his pants, pulling them on.
"Let me help you with that," she said, stepping closer to him as he got his shirt on. Her fingers deftly worked on the buttons fastening them with care.
After they were both dressed, they stood in silence for a moment, the air felt heavy with the remnants of their intimacy.
Matthew's gaze wandered to the floor, where the black mask lay discarded. Bending down, he picked it up, the smooth surface cool against his fingertips. A small grin tugged at the corners of his lips.
"So, we accidentally discovered we're into masks, huh?" he chuckled, holding up the mask between them.
Y/N burst into laughter. "Seriously, how the hell are we supposed to film the episode after this?" she exclaimed between giggles.
Matthew laughed along “Yeah, it's going to be really difficult to not get hard in front of the whole production team"
"I'll never look at masks the same way again," she admitted "Thankfully, I do not l come across a lot of them."
"Well, I have to admit, I do have quite the collection of masks back home," he continued, raising his eyebrows "I don't know if you know this, but Halloween is kind of my thing."
"Oh, really? I had no idea" Y/N said in an ironic way, a playful grin spreading across her lips. "Is this your way of inviting me back to your place?"
"Maybe," Matthew's lips curved into a smirk, “But.. humm… actually" he began, his voice sincere. "I want to know if you would you like to go out to dinner with me? Like, a proper date?"
Y/N's eyebrows shot up in surprise "Matthew, we just had sex. Shouldn't we be doing things the other way around?"
"I know it might seem backward, but... I really like you, Y/N and I want to do things the right way. So, what do you say?"
"I'd love to go on a proper date with you," she replied with a smile.

Finding Your True Archetype Part 1: Spring
This is the first post in a series where I copy and paste information from the stylist David Zyla's book Color Your Style. His archetype system covers way more different types of woman than the quizzes you find online that have 5-10 results and he gives you advice on styling yourself for your archetype. I never 100% related to any of those online quiz results but I instantly felt very seen when I read about a certain Archetype in Zyla's book.
Zyla categorises his different archetypes into four categories: Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter. This post will only discuss the Spring archetypes, but I hope to make posts for the other archetypes soon. If you don't find your archetype in this post, you likely will in a future post.
Terminology Zyla uses throughout the book to help you understand this post better:
First Base: The color found in the ring around your iris; your most formal and powerful neutral; your version of black .
Second Base: The color taken from the darkest shade of your hair; a warmer and less formal neutral; your version of brown.
Third Base: The color seen in the lightest version of your hair; a playful and informal neutral; your version of khaki.
Essence Color: The color that harmonizes your skin tones and reveals your most genuine, open, and essential self; your version of white; wear it when you are having an intimate conversation, when you are meditating, or when you want to be completely open and honest.
Romantic Color: The color reflected by your flushed skin, which reveals your passion, your sexual energy, and your romantic self; your version of red; wear it on a hot date, a romantic evening, or any time you want your passion to show.
Dramatic Color: The color taken from the shade of your veins, which shows your power, your charisma, and your sense of authority; your version of blue; wear it on a job interview, for a formal presentation, or any time you want to make a strong impression.
Vital Spring: The Prom Queen
Celebrities: Kristin Davis, Eva Longoria, Susan Lucci, Rachael Ray.
Motto: “That sounds like fun!”
Secret Superpower: Charm, charm, and more charm. The world’s hostess! Invite a Vital Spring to your dinner party and you guarantee a great evening for all: She will keep the crowd entertained while you are slaving in the kitchen.
Kryptonite: When it’s no longer fun, she often doesn’t want to play anymore.
Nature Image: Zinnias, French parrot tulips, Gerbera daisies, pompoms.
Artists: Mondrian and Matisse for the high-contrast primary colors.
Charming Contrasts: High-contrast outfits and accessories will always make the Prom Queen look terrific—a red scarf to set off a black coat, or white polka dots on a blueberry-colored umbrella. Her look is even better in “surprise” contrast that leads you to expect the unexpected. She might consider a vivid dramatic-colored coat lining, or a First Base outfit and shoes punctuated with a romantic-colored handbag, or an energy-colored enamel charm on her bracelet.
Fabulous Fabrics: The fabrics are crisp and include cotton piqué, cotton sateen, faille, bouclé, patent leather, and satin.
Signature Scent: Citrus: It’s brisk, bold, and does not linger.
Must-Haves: The Prom Queen favors a Chanel-inspired bouclé jacket (she may even splurge for a real one!), nautically styled gabardine pants, a slim pegged skirt, a button-front blouse with pearl buttons, and a crisp cotton belted shift dress. Her silhouette is clean in line and efficient with a dash of costume elements thrown into the mix. Though her look is crisp and refined, all of her favorite pieces are reminiscent of vintage styles and possess an air of “I get things done.” When it comes to styles, she’s most at home in a 1950s look: crisp, clean, with a little bit of movement. Think swing coats and swirly skirts, perhaps contrasted with a structured purse. Frequently sought-after in social situations, Vital Springs also do well wearing conversation pieces: a charm bracelet, for example, or a dark vintage-inspired coat with a bright high-contrast lining.
Must-Avoids: The Vital Spring should avoid burnished colors or ensembles made up of muted, blended colors and fabrics. She’s always best in high contrast with a touch of novelty. And she should pass on the cowboy boots and anything oversized. Cowboy boots have too many varied lines in them and actually are more of a design suitable for Autumns. The woman who wears them has a kind of I-roll-up-my-sleeves-and-shoot-pool-with-the-boys quality. This does not describe the Prom Queen, though she will be game for pool—but sporting a pair of capris, a crisp blouse, and a small neck scarf. She always keeps her playful femininity, no matter what she’s doing. As for oversized items, the crisp pert lines that favor this type illustrate her efficient I-get-things-done manner, whereas oversized connotes an I’ll-get-to-it-but-right-now-I’m-just-hangin’ mentality.
Personality and Spirit: There’s a good reason why Vital Springs have that Prom Queen image—they’re the most charming, outgoing, and friendly of the Archetypes. They’re the kind of people who become best friends with everyone in the room five minutes after they walk in, and others often develop crushes on them. That’s no surprise: They radiate the kind of energy and magnetism that draws people in, and no matter what the situation, they tend to lead with a smile. With her independent spirit, the Prom Queen functions best when given a lot of leeway, but don’t worry—she’ll charm her boss and colleagues into an arrangement that works well for everybody.
Early Spring: The Playful Princess
Celebrities: Angela Lansbury, Gwyneth Paltrow, Chloë Sevigny, Naomi Watts.
Motto: “How amusing!”
Secret Superpower: An instinct for what’s most important. Count on the Early Spring to always get to the heart of the matter.
Kryptonite: Not being appreciated—that causes the Early Spring to droop like a wilted flower.
Nature Image: Crocuses poking their tips up through the snow, gladiolus, iris.
Artists: Monet and the other Impressionists, whose cool saturated pastels are perfect for Early Springs.
Charming Contrasts: For the Playful Princess, light and easy low-contrast is best. As this palette is very gentle, I would suggest never wearing more than two groups of her colors together at the same time. For example, a Third Base suit could be paired with a pastel romantic blouse, as well as jewelry, shoes, and a scarf that pick up these tones, perhaps in different values. The Early Spring should use pattern in the way it is seen in Monet’s The Water Lilies: small, delicate brush strokes, each dollop of paint slightly blended into the one beside it, giving the overall impression of a landscape seen through a train window on a rainy day. Confetti patterns also work well for her. No eye-popping high-contrast patterns, please—they just don’t suit her gentle palette.
Fabulous Fabrics: Cashmere, organza, suede, and especially, crisp cottons. No other type looks as good in a crisp winter-white cotton blouse.
Signature Scents: Gentle, flowery, soft, and powdery—but with a slight kick, such as jasmine.
Must-Haves: The Playful Princess favors a simple polished-cotton pastel Agent 99 trench coat, Hollywood waisted pants, a slim waistband-less skirt, a crisp cotton blouse worn with a thin belt over it, and an updated version of the shirtdress with the collar popped up. The demure, playful Early Spring can pull off a beret or even a cloche hat, something sleek and close to the head. She’s the type for whom blouses with bows were invented, and for a little light-handed playfulness, try chinos embroidered with a novelty design—but no belt loops, and with a back zipper, please! Her wardrobe suggests a cool, sleek, playful elegance, someone sweet and flowery—but with a kick. While she can wear clothing derived from masculine dress such as trousers, all her garments need to be curved and adapted to her feminine shape. Adding a slight dose of irony doesn’t hurt, either.
Must-Avoids: Denim. Although the Early Spring looks great in slim trousers with no waistband, she has a terrible time finding the right pair of blue jeans—because they don’t suit her! She needs to avoid anything even remotely masculine. Hence, our Early Spring should pass on the men’s-style trench with epaulets and patch pockets as well as on popping printed patterns. The original version of this trench is too masculine and too literal; and high contrast prints are too harsh for her delicate coloring.
Personality and Spirit: Early Springs are ladylike, yes, and somewhat proper, and perhaps even demure, but they’re also blessed with a lively curiosity and a strong sense of fun. There’s an appealing coolness to the Early Spring, the slight formality that often marks someone with beautiful manners and that air of “to the manner born,” but there’s also a playful, inquisitive nature lurking just below the surface. Count on the Early Spring to show up at that all-important job interview, impeccable in a dove-gray suit and a pearly white blouse—and then to tell a silly joke that surprises the interviewer into delighted laughter. A good girl she may be—but she’s got her share of pluck.
Floral Spring: The Wholesome Flirt
Celebrities: Doris Day, Barbara Walters, Reese Witherspoon, Renée Zellweger.
Motto: “Live for today.”
Secret Superpower: Making the most of every moment.
Kryptonite: Realizing that she is making a mistake in the middle of making it and then becoming self-conscious.
Nature Image: Daffodils, hyacinth, and tulips.
Artist: Fragonard.
Charming Contrasts: Wholesome Flirts do best with crisp contrast. Offering relief from head-to-toe color is good, such as a crisp blouse in her shade of white peering out from under an energy-colored suit accessorized with a pearl necklace. In such an outfit, the white doesn’t punctuate, but rather gives the eye a break from all of that energy color and creates a halo around the wearer’s face, enabling the Floral Spring to win the attention that she loves.
Fabulous Fabrics: Though she is feminine, the Floral Spring’s fabrics need to stay crisp. Camel’s hair, gabardine, eyelet, and organdy are best.
Signature Scents: Sweet and floral. Even when she’s all grown up, she might try a strawberry-scented lip balm.
Must-Haves: The Floral Spring favors a brightly colored peacoat, slim trousers with side slits at the ankle, an A-line skirt, a cute sweater set, and a shift dress covered in pastel paillettes. These are the garments that flatter the Wholesome Flirt, with her ultra-feminine, always flirty nature. She enjoys incorporating costume-y elements into her wardrobe—such as a bow-shaped clutch or sandals decorated with a bumblebee buckle—but all her choices need to be frothy and flirtatious, never influenced by anything practical unless it’s a reinvention of something practical, such as the revamping of a sailor’s peacoat in a vivid color with theatrically sized buttons.
Must-Avoids: Austere or severely styled clothing. This woman must always wear clothing which complements her carefree, flirty, feminine nature. Hence, the Wholesome Flirt should pass on camouflage cargo pants and one-shoulder gowns—the pants are too serious and the one-shoulder gown, too asymmetrical, which makes her look imbalanced and, oddly, staid.
Personality and Spirit: Like the coquettish beauty batting her baby blues at two men in Fragonard’s The Swing, this Archetype embodies the words feminine and flirtatious. The Floral Spring sometimes seems like an enchanted creature who lived in a garden all her life and somehow decided to venture out into the world of more ordinary mortals. Like many of their Spring sisters, the Floral Springs are charming beyond belief, but their charm is always genuine. If you feel good in their presence, it’s because they really do see the best in everything and everyone, including you, and they have a gift for making you believe in the magic that seems all too apparent to them. That may be why they’re the most flirtatious of the Archetypes: If life is a garden, why not sample every flower?
Buoyant Spring: The Life of the Party
Celebrities: Cameron Diaz, Goldie Hawn, Queen Latifah, Amy Poehler.
Motto: “How interesting!”
Secret Superpower: Enthusiasm. Everything fascinates her.
Kryptonite: Sometimes that all-encompassing enthusiasm can become just a little . . . well, scattered.
Nature Image: Sunflowers, buttercups, daisies, button poms, cosmos, tuberoses, foxglove.
Artist: Matisse, for the high-contrast use of color.
Charming Contrasts: The Life of the Party needs a pattern somewhere in her outfit or accessories in order to tie together the entire look. She can unify a romantic-colored shirt and Third Base capris with plaid sandals that feature both of those colors. As an extra plus, those sandals are also a wonderful conversation-starter!
Fabulous Fabrics: Poplin, organza, embroidered cotton, linen, stretch satin.
Signature Scents: Sporty, invigorating, perhaps with a hint of eucalyptus. A splash rather than a cologne works better, as it is lighter and less serious.
Must-Haves: A blazer cut to the high hip with an accentuated waist is the perfect garment for the Life of the Party, as are capris, a turtleneck with short puffed sleeves, and a metallic brocade shift dress adorned with feathers at the hem. Savoring life to the fullest is what she’s all about, and she needs her wardrobe to reflect this.
Must-Avoids: Hyperformality—and not only in clothing. The Buoyant Spring also has the urge to do something zany to break the tension at a party that is too stuffy. The results may be, um, problematic—or they could be delightful. The Buoyant Spring needs to pass on the chiffon caftan and motorcycle-inspired looks. The caftan would make her seem like a dowager, and no matter what her real age, the Buoyant Spring is always young at heart. Also, the caftan feels a bit too grand for her. At heart the Buoyant Spring is the girl who genuinely enjoys kicking off her shoes at the end of the day. Any article of clothing that conveys an aura of queenly grandness feels too serious for this fun-loving type, especially since it limits so severely the number of fashion choices she can make—no belt, no skirt, no scarf, just a pair of sandals and some jewels. As for motorcycle-inspired ensembles, while the Life of the Party is fun and game for most anything, a boots-and-leather look hardens her I-love-being-a-girl silhouette and limits her opportunity for the adornment of her favorite fashion element: herself!
Personality and Spirit: Playful, sporty, and energetic, the Buoyant Spring is brimming over with high spirits and good cheer. Her buoyant energy lends itself more to shorts or capris than to a full-length evening gown, though when she does put on that fancy dress, you may be surprised to realize how pretty she is. The Buoyant Spring is always a marvelous cheerleader. She knows how to draw other people out, encouraging them to express their most cherished ideas—and then she knows how to make those ideas sound brilliant.
Mischievous Spring: The Pixie
Celebrities: Tyra Banks, Bernadette Peters, Rosie Perez, Rihanna, Julia Roberts.
Motto: “Everything I really want eventually comes to me.”
Secret Superpower: Huge confidence in herself.
Kryptonite: Expects everyone to come to her, which means sometimes she can be a bit selfish—perhaps even more than a bit.
Nature Image: Lily pad, buttercup, bluebells.
Artists: Landscape artists who paint the French countryside.
Charming Contrasts: Gentle contrast is best for our Pixie, but she can handle more contrast in a single outfit than most of the other Springs can manage. For the weekend, she might look for a longish belted tweed coat in her energy color over a short skirt and tights in her Third Base color, accented by a metallic and energy-colored purse, metallic earrings, and a few favorite odd mismatched bracelets.
Fabulous Fabrics: Lightly textured knits, brushed cotton, embossed suede, organza, crisp cotton, piqué.
Signature Scents: Narcissus, hyacinth.
Must-Haves: A softly tailored short anorak, short-sleeved knit sweater with self-belt and collar, slim stretch cigarette pants, miniskirt with pleated hem, bouclé knit hooded cardigan, and halter-style printed maxidress create the pixieish look of the Mischievous Spring. Our Pixie always needs the element of surprise incorporated into her mischievous style or else she looks out of place. A well-fitting dress with very simple lines is fine for New Year’s Eve, but she would need a marabou shrug or a feathered headband in order to keep the outfit from seeming too stuffy.
Must-Avoids: Big ruffles at her cuffs, which just look silly waving all over the place. The Mischievous Spring should also avoid wide-legged trousers, full-skirted gowns, and layered dresses, all of which tend to make her look like a little girl playing dress-up or like a delicate pixie drowning in waves of fabric. She should also avoid a too-polished head-to-toe look as well as any garment or accessory that proclaims, “I am serious.”
Personality and Spirit: When I think of the Mischievous Spring, I think of the sound of jingle bells: This pixieish creature evokes everything that is frolicsome and fun, and like all Springs, the Mischievous Spring is charm personified. She often works quite hard, but unless you pay close attention, you may not realize it: She may create the impression that a battery of elves magically completed her assignments overnight. The Mischievous Spring sometimes seems like the ultimate free spirit, but somehow, she always meets her deadlines, shows up on time, and comes through like a trouper. It’s just that her process for getting there might drive more organized types insane. She’s the kind of woman who can show up at a party looking stunning even though she just bought the dress that morning and then couldn’t find the right lipstick and had to borrow a neighbor’s. No matter how she got there, she always looks fantastic—and there she is, ready to share her mischievous sense of fun with everyone else at the party.
Tawny Spring: The Maverick
Celebrities: Amy Adams, Carol Burnett, Ginger Rogers.
Motto: “I am my own trendsetter.”
Secret Superpower: Being just a little bit ahead of the curve and bringing other people along with her.
Kryptonite: Sometimes she just can’t get past that one niggling detail—the fly in the ointment, the one thing that tarnishes the whole. Frustration with something relatively minor can sometimes spoil the whole thing for her.
Nature Image: Poppies, green euphorbia, yarrow, pear blossom, ranunculus.
Artists: Renoir, Rousseau.
Charming Contrasts: As befits a Maverick, the Tawny Spring puts together diverse elements in a way that she couldn’t possibly explain to anyone else. Clearly this type will also put together her contrast levels in precisely the way that she wants to! Her “find” of a vintage 1960s tranquil-colored blouse is made fresh and interesting when worn over a Second Base turtleneck and paired with skinny-fit Second Base trousers. Mavericks take warning: Never wear shades of the same color, as the exchange of energy between the similar shades is not dynamic enough, creating a muddy effect.
Fabulous Fabrics: Pony, light popcorn tweeds, embossed leather, knit fabrics.
Signature Scents: She will probably favor a mixture of citrus and spice. She is eclectic, so she will probably have several small bottles of different scents. None of them will be floral or powdery.
Must-Haves: Our Maverick favors an updated military-styled jacket, boot-cut trousers, a miniskirt worn with tights, a vintage 1960s blouse, and a button-front knit sweater dress with contrasting collar and cuffs worn over a tank. After all, her motto is “I am my own trendsetter,” and what better outfits to choose than those that allow her a fertile field for her creative vision. The Maverick is eclectic in her style and is best in slightly theatrical pieces. She is the type that can easily wear a feathered cloche, fingerless gloves, or a plaid capelet—and even better if they are all worn at the same time! If her outfit looks like a costume from the forest scene in Shakespeare’s As You Like It, the one in which shepherds and shepherdesses frolic, she will love it. She will find it difficult to pass a vintage clothing store without stopping in.
Must-Avoids: Clothing that is uniform or “matched,” such as a matching blazer and skirt. This type should never own a suit; she needs to make a statement by putting together diverse pieces in unexpected ways. She should also pass on the long flowing skirts and any clothing influenced by minimalism. She is too “ready for action” and her energy is too high for the languid I-go-with-the-flow quality of drapey soft chiffon, which in any case suggests genteel beauty, rather than the Tawny Spring’s air of sprightly fun. Finally, no minimalism for the Maverick: When you strip this energetic creature down to monochromatic minimalism, she will feel and act as though she is at a wake.
Personality and Spirit: Quirkiest of all the Spring Archetypes, the Tawny Spring is nearly impossible to pin down. She has a habit of zigzagging from one activity to another. Yet she’s reliable and trustworthy, and there’s a method to her madness. The Tawny Spring views the world not through rose-colored glasses, exactly, but let’s say through teal-colored ones: a unique, distinctive perspective that is all her own, and that to everyone else seems slightly askew. When everyone else sees the forest, she notices that one little branch over in the corner, where a rare tropical species has just built its nest. Then she wonders why no one else can see that little sliver of teal-colored feather that tipped her off—it seems blatantly obvious to her!
That's all for now, doves. Next post will be on Zyla's summer archetypes 😊

Day 13- Fall
The other 3 are on their way. Eventually. I just had zero ideas and was wasting time staring at my computer.
I spelled Kosmo wrong so many times before I finally remembered that it's spelled with in s (k-o-s-m-o, not k-o-z-m-o)
'can you die of sugar overdose?' is now in my search history : )
------------------------------------
Kosmo lets out a giant dog sneeze.
The dog does not do great around this time of year and always sneezes like crazy. But that's not stopping him from going outside with Keith. This time of year is great for taking long runs. Keith took Kosmo off the leash ago, it's not necessary outside the apartment complex. The only reason he owns one is because his annoying neighbors like to threaten to call the police if Kosmo is off-leash. Keith could take any of them in a fight (verbal or physical), but he'd rather not have Shiro bail him out of jail. He'd never hear the end of it.
All around, bright leaves of all colors float lazily down from their trees. The ones that get too close to Keith do flips in the air to avoid him. The crisp air bites into his skin and is a stark contrast with the heat in his flushed cheeks. His hair is pulled back into a ponytail, so the fall breeze tickles the back of his neck.
Kosmo barks brightly at a sunny yellow bird that zips past them.
Usually, they take a giant loop down to the beach and back to their apartment, but today they're headed somewhere different.
Keith stops at a pretty exposed brick building. The trees frame it perfectly, and there are three steps lined by decorative railings on either side that lead up to a bold red door.
He walks Kosmo up the steps, making sure his dog's giant clumsy paws don't slip on the little brick stairs.
There's a small potted plant resting next to the door, a withered plant drooped over the side of its pot, unrecognizable if not for the single sunflower that rises from the center. The doormat reads, 'Your shoelaces are untied' and is so old that the stitching down the sides is starting to fray.
Kosmo tries to eat the flower.
Keith knocks softly on the door, and it flies open with a giant creak. "Keith! You're here!" Lance tumbles out to wrap Keith up in a tight hug. Keith grabs onto him to stop himself from tripping back down the stairs. "It's nice to see you too, Lance."
When they pull apart, Kosmo has already bounded into the house. Lance pulls him inside, and Keith is greeted by their friends. Shiro waves to him before returning to his conversation with Hunk. Pidge nods at him from across the room, and Adam gives him a salute. Allura and Coran call out a greeting.
The door opens into a cozy living room, separated from the kitchen with a countertop between the two.
Keith is handed a cup of hot chocolate. It has whipped cream piled up in a huge overflowing mountain on top, complete with 5 kinds of sprinkles and a handful of giant marshmallows. He's pretty sure there's a gummy worm somewhere in there. Diced strawberries are sprinkled here and there. Of course, it's all in one if those super tall Starbucks mugs. Hunk knows him so well.
Lance laughs and passes Keith the whipped cream bottle, knowing he'll want more. "I swear you're made of sugar at this point. I don't know how you scowl so much with all of that sweetness in you. You're worse than my niblings."
Keith pouts and holds his cup close to his chest. He points the whipped cream at Lance's face. "Shush. Let me be happy or you'll get a face full of sugar."
Lance puffs his chest out. "Well joke's on you because that is actually great for your skin. Or at least that's what google said. So there."
Keith is too busy spraying it into his own mouth to listen. He hears his friends snickering at him, so he puts so under his nose. He turns to them and pretends to twirl the end of it like a moustache.
Pidge snorts so hard that the hot chocolate they were sipping shoots out of their nose. They collapse back onto the couch with a drawn out groan.
Keith has to take some deep breaths to avoid the same fate (the whipped cream is slowly dissolving in his mouth).
He grabs a few more toppings before retreating back to the living room.
Lance chooses the armchair next to a large window. He pulls Keith down onto his lap, and Keith settles sideways so that his legs hang over the arm of the seat. Lance's arm rests on Keith's stomach, and he sips slowly at his sugary drink.
Kosmo runs over to them and settles on top of Lance's feet. The man smiles warmly. "Thanks bud, I didn't want to get up for socks. It's getting colder outside."
Keith knows he smells like sweat, but Lance combs his fingers though the smaller man's hair anyway.
Keith makes grabby hands for the book sitting on the table beside them, and Lance passes it to him.
Lance reaches into Keith's hoodie pocket to pull out the pair of black glasses that usually rest in there and slides them onto Keith's face.
He tips his head back and closes his eyes while Keith reads and drinks his hot chocolate. Shiro opens the window behind them and drapes a blanket over them both.
All Keith can think about is the words in his book and Lance's warm arms around him.
--------------------------------------
Warm fuzzies.
This is the mug I was talking about. I really want one of these:

Out of Time: Chapter 4
Lost in Translation
Word Count: 1221
Andrew x Reader
The morning air was cool and crisp as the group stepped out of (Y/N)’s apartment and into the bustling city streets. The sound of cars honking and people talking filled the air, a stark contrast to the quiet mornings they had once known by the Sea of Galilee. (Y/N) led the way, pointing out landmarks and answering questions as the disciples tried to make sense of the chaotic modern world around them.
Andrew walked close behind her, his eyes scanning the streets with curiosity. He still felt out of place, but the initial shock of their new surroundings was slowly wearing off. He found himself adapting, relying more and more on (Y/N) to guide him through the strange maze of modern life. She had become a steady presence in the whirlwind of confusion, and for that, Andrew was grateful.
Peter, on the other hand, was still tense. His eyes darted around, taking in the sights, but he remained wary. Thomas asked endless questions about everything from the skyscrapers to the strange contraptions they called "cars," while John lagged behind, his new camera in hand, capturing images of the city as they walked. James, too, had his own quiet focus, already thinking of how he could help those in need in this new time.
As they walked, (Y/N) pointed to a large screen on the side of a building. Bright images flashed across it, accompanied by bold text. Andrew squinted, trying to make sense of it all.
“This,” (Y/N) explained with a grin, “is social media.”
Andrew blinked, confused. “Social what?”
(Y/N) chuckled, pulling out her phone. “Here, I’ll show you. Social media is... well, it’s a way people communicate and share things with others. Photos, stories, ideas... it all happens online.”
Andrew stared at the phone in her hand, still not fully grasping the concept. He had heard about the internet from Matthew, who had already dived into the technical details, but it all seemed so foreign.
(Y/N) opened an app and scrolled through a series of photos and short videos. “See? People post pictures of their lives, their thoughts, or anything they want to share. It’s a way to stay connected with the world.”
Andrew watched the screen, trying to process what she was saying. “But... why would people do this? Why share everything with everyone?”
(Y/N) shrugged, a playful smile tugging at the corner of her lips. “It’s just the way things are now. People like to feel connected, even if it’s just through a screen.”
Andrew shook his head, amused. “In my time, we didn’t need screens to feel connected. We had the sea, the stars, and each other.”
She laughed softly, and the sound of it made Andrew’s heart skip. He glanced over at her, noticing the way her eyes crinkled at the corners when she smiled.
“You’ve got a point,” she said, her voice teasing. “But I think you’d be surprised how much people depend on this now.”
Andrew raised an eyebrow. “Do you?”
(Y/N) paused, her fingers stilling on the screen as she considered the question. “Sometimes. But I try not to. I like real connections better.”
Andrew’s smile grew, feeling a warmth spread through him at her words. There was something about her that felt so genuine, so real in a world that seemed so artificial. He had always appreciated simplicity, and (Y/N) had a way of grounding him, even when everything else felt too fast and too overwhelming.
The day wore on as (Y/N) led the group through various parts of the city. Each disciple experienced the modern world differently. Peter stayed on edge, constantly scanning for potential threats. Matthew found himself fascinated by the sheer complexity of the technology around him, while Simon Z questioned how people could live in such a godless place. Even though the city was filled with people, it felt lonely in a way that their small villages had never been.
James, however, was drawn to something else entirely. As they passed by a large building with people lined up outside, he stopped, staring intently.
“What is this place?” he asked.
(Y/N) glanced at the building and recognized the sign above the door. “It’s a shelter for the homeless.”
James’s brow furrowed. “Homeless?”
(Y/N) nodded. “Yeah. People who don’t have homes or money. They come here for food and a place to stay, at least for a little while.”
James stood in silence for a moment, watching as volunteers handed out food to the people in line. He saw the worn clothes, the tired faces, and something inside him stirred. It reminded him of the poor and the beggars in their own time—the ones Jesus had always told them to care for.
“I want to help,” James said quietly, turning to (Y/N). “Can I?”
(Y/N)’s eyes softened. “Of course. They’re always looking for volunteers.”
James gave a determined nod, his mind already set. “This is something I can do. I’ve seen people like this before. It doesn’t matter the time or place—there are always those in need.”
(Y/N) smiled warmly. “I think you’ll be a great help here.”
As the sun began to set, casting long shadows over the city, the group made their way back to (Y/N)’s apartment. Andrew walked beside her, his mind still spinning from everything he had seen and learned that day. But despite the overwhelming nature of it all, there was a sense of peace in knowing he wasn’t facing it alone.
As they reached her building, (Y/N) turned to Andrew with a playful grin. “So, what did you think of your first full day in the 21st century?”
Andrew chuckled, rubbing the back of his neck. “It’s... a lot to take in. I’m still trying to understand half of it.”
(Y/N) laughed, her eyes sparkling. “You did pretty well, all things considered. I mean, you’re learning about social media and vending machines. That’s progress!”
He smiled at her, feeling more at ease than he had since they arrived in this strange new world. “It’s easier with you helping us.”
There was a brief moment of silence, and Andrew realized how true those words were. He hadn’t fully understood how much he had come to rely on her presence, her guidance. Being around her felt natural in a way he couldn’t quite explain.
(Y/N) glanced away for a moment, her cheeks flushing slightly. “Well, I’m happy to help. You guys are... different, but I like that.”
Andrew’s heart raced a little faster at her words, but he quickly pushed the feeling down, reminding himself of the mission, of the life he had once lived. There wasn’t room for anything else. But that didn’t stop him from smiling a little more around her.
“Thanks,” he said softly, his voice filled with gratitude.
As they made their way inside, Andrew couldn’t help but glance at (Y/N) one last time. She had become more than just a guide through this strange world—she was someone he felt drawn to, someone who understood him in ways he hadn’t expected.
And despite the weight of time and the uncertainty of the future, Andrew found himself holding onto the hope that, somehow, they were meant to find each other in this vast, unfamiliar place.

Camille Bombois (1883 – 1970) was a French naïve painter especially noted for paintings of circus scenes.
Bombois was born in Venarey-les-Laumes in the Côte-d'Or, in humble circumstances. His childhood was spent living on a barge and attending a local school until the age of twelve, when he became a farm worker. During his free time he drew and competed in wrestling competitions at local fairs. He became a champion local wrestler before joining a traveling circus as a strongman and wrestler.
In 1907, Bombois fulfilled his dream of moving to Paris, where he married and worked as a railway laborer, eventually finding a night job at a newspaper printing plant handling heavy newsprint rolls. Despite the exhausting nature of his job he painted from dawn to dusk, sleeping little. He showed his paintings in sidewalk exhibitions, but his earliest paintings, revealing the influence of the old masters in their subdued use of color, attracted few buyers.
1914 marked the beginning of four-and-a-half years of military service in World War I. Bombois spent much of it on the front line, earning three decorations for bravery. Upon his return home, encouraged that his wife had succeeded in selling a number of his paintings in his absence, he resumed his routine of night labor and daytime painting. In 1922, his sidewalk displays in Montmartre began attracting the attention of collectors. The art dealer Wilhelm Uhde "discovered" him in 1924, and exhibited Bombois' work in the Galeries des Quatre Chemins in 1927.[1] In 1937, his works were shown in the exhibition "Maîtres populaires de la réalité" in Paris. His first solo show was in 1944 at the Galerie Pétridès. Critics compared Bombois' work to that of Henri Rousseau, which it resembled in its naïve drawing, crisp delineation of form, and attention to detail, although Bombois was less of a fantasist than Rousseau.
The paintings of his maturity are bold in color, featuring strong contrasts of black, bright reds, blues and electric pinks. Drawing from his own experiences, he often painted circus performers and landscapes with fishermen. His paintings of women are emphatic in their carnality, and his landscapes are notable in their careful attention to space, and to the effects of reflected light on water. Bombois' works are on view in many public collections, notably the Musée Maillol in Paris.
In 2023, Bavarian town of Passau in Germany restituted a painting by Bombois that had been looted from Jewish collector Marcel Joseph Monteux, who was murdered in Auschwitz-Birkenau on August 15, 1944.

𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐎𝐃𝐃𝐋𝐘 𝐒𝐏𝐄𝐂𝐈𝐅𝐈𝐂 𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐃𝐂𝐀𝐍𝐎𝐍𝐒 ;;
what does your muse smell like? Midori smells of the soft shampoo he uses with hints of earthiness ! Fresh dirt and vegetables scent lingers on him―the latter do have a smell to them albeit a subtle one ! The scent of lettuce and cabbage, for example, tend to be most recognisable, be it from him or his bag !
what do your muse’s hands feel like? Midori's hands match his body: one can notice they are not overly so, but still large with an especially strong grip contrasting his gentle character. Used to farmwork, they are slightly rugged to match his muscle strength, but are always well manicured and hydrated as he knows how important taking care of them is in his line of work.
what does your muse usually eat in a day? Lots of veggies, of course! Midori tends to have very average Japanese young man food taste, enjoying softer taste than spicy ones to highlight fresh ingredients. His meals are high in vegetables and legumes, where he can notice how good the products are. He tends to prefer hot, homemade and fresh meals, which make him a fan of Niki Shiina's cooking especially. His favorite meal, pizza, must have fresh dough cooked at the highest heat to remain fluffy and have the vegetables still have a gentle crisp to them !
does your muse have a good singing voice? Midori's singing is soft and gentle. One which brings a feeling of peace and calm, like a warm blanket, a lullaby to make you have sweet dreams. It does not reach high notes, but makes up for it with his natural charm.
does your muse have any bad habits or nervous ticks? Midori's cynicism borderlining nihilism makes him a lot to be around. Sprinkling to it his casual expressions and even actions of ending his life, he can be quite pathetic and annoying to be around. If one has the tendency to dislike this sort of behavior, he is one who would not help his case at all. On the other side, when Midori loves something (cough Yuzuru's drawings cough), he can be overwhelming with his hyperfixation on how comforting mascots are for him, lashing out all his might onto his obsession which is the only thing that seems to soothe instinctively his depression.
what does your muse usually look like / wear? Midori wears modern, classic Japanese clothings. They are usually the comfortable type for ease of movement during farm and shop work, being akin to what, well, a modern farm boy would wear such as plaid and jackets. What makes Midori's style still fashionable are the trendy fits to his clothes, but he still rather have a timeless, simple attire even for his exclusive stage outfits. He may not be bold or flashy visually, but he is comfortable being himself.
is your muse affectionate? how much? how so? Not at all. He even despises it. Midori does not like showing that he cares ... because it would be him admitting it to himself, and this opens him up to feeling vulnerable and eventually hurt. This backfire into him acting quite mean and rude to others when he senses that his heart has feelings for them as he acts up. For those willing to give him a chance, Midori showing those emotions, any strong emotions, means he cares, and one needs to be patient with him.
what position does your muse sleep in? As shown by the best merch ever created*, Midori usually sleeps on his side, holding something soft close to him to make him feel safe, and is a deep, peaceful sleeper. Most likely he will wake up in the same position he fell asleep in.
could you hear your muse in the hallway from another room? No. Atop of being very softspoken, Midori is timid and does not enjoy speaking up. He rather remain unnoticed. One needs to lean in a bit to fully hear everything he says, and even in Live where multiple characters are featured, it can be difficult to make up dialogue he says (such as his Merry Christmas SPP in Sweet Sweet White Song).

Gradient Nail Art Ideas You’ll Wish to Try
Gradient nails, also known as ombré nails, are a stunning way to incorporate multiple colors into a single nail design.
The smooth transition from one color to another creates a sophisticated and eye-catching look that works for any occasion, from casual outings to formal events. If you’re looking for new and exciting ways to experiment with gradient nails, here are some ideas you'll definitely want to try!
1. Classic Pink to White Ombre
The pink-to-white gradient is a timeless and elegant design that never goes out of style. Start with a soft pastel pink near the base of your nails and gradually blend into a crisp white at the tips. This look is perfect for brides, springtime, or anyone who loves a feminine and delicate aesthetic.
Tip: To make it even more chic, add a layer of shimmer on top for a sparkly finish!
2. Bold Neon Gradient
If you’re feeling adventurous, a neon gradient is the way to go. Choose a mix of vibrant colors like electric blue, hot pink, and lime green. The intensity of the neon hues creates a striking effect that’s perfect for a summer festival or night out. For added drama, you can create the gradient effect with a sponge for a flawless blend.
Tip: Neon colors work best on a white or neutral base, as they pop more vibrantly against lighter shades.
3. Sunset Gradient
Capture the beauty of a sunset with a warm gradient that transitions from fiery oranges to pinks and purples. This design is perfect for fall or for anyone who loves warm tones. The key to making a sunset gradient pop is blending the colors seamlessly so that they transition smoothly from one to the next.
Tip: Use a fine brush to create a sunburst effect at the cuticle for added dimension.
4. Metallic Ombre
For a futuristic and chic twist, go for a metallic gradient. Choose shimmering gold, silver, or rose gold to create a look that feels luxe and glamorous. The shiny metallics catch the light in different ways, giving your nails a reflective, multi-dimensional look.
Tip: Pair metallic gradient nails with a matte top coat for an edgy contrast between the shine and softness.
5. Pastel Rainbow Ombre
If you can’t decide on just one pastel color, why not use them all? A pastel rainbow gradient features soft hues like baby blue, mint green, lavender, and peach that gradually transition from one to another. This playful design is perfect for spring or for adding a fun pop of color to any outfit.
Tip: Make sure to blend the colors lightly so they flow together beautifully, avoiding any harsh lines.
6. French Gradient
A modern twist on the classic French manicure, the French gradient features a soft color fade from the base of the nail to the tip. You can opt for a traditional white gradient or experiment with shades like lavender, light pink, or even metallics for a sophisticated yet edgy take on the look.
Tip: This design is perfect for work or formal events, as it’s subtle yet stylish.
7. Black and White Ombre
If you're into minimalist designs, a black and white gradient is sleek and bold. The transition from pure black at the cuticle to white at the tip creates a sharp, striking contrast that works well with any outfit. This look is perfect for anyone who loves modern, monochromatic styles.
Tip: To enhance the gradient, use a sponge to gently blend the colors at the nail tip.
8. Glitter Ombre
Add some sparkle to your gradient nails by incorporating glitter into the mix. Start with your desired base color, then apply glitter from the middle to the tips of the nails, creating a soft transition from matte to sparkly. This design is perfect for a night out, a holiday party, or any occasion where you want to shine!
Tip: Try using holographic or iridescent glitter for a multi-dimensional effect that catches the light beautifully.
9. Floral Gradient
For a romantic twist, combine your gradient design with delicate floral nail art. You can start with a soft gradient base, and then add hand-painted flowers or decals for a feminine touch. The flowers can be simple and small, or you can go all out with a larger, more intricate design.
Tip: Use a fine brush to paint small flowers along the gradient to keep the look soft and graceful.
10. Neon with Black Tips
Combine bold neon shades with black tips for a striking gradient design that has a punk-inspired flair. Start with your neon shades at the base of your nails and blend them into a darker color, like black, at the tips. This combination is bold, edgy, and perfect for anyone who wants a unique, daring look.
Tip: Use a fine brush to carefully apply the black at the tips for precision.
11. Frosted Gradient
For a winter-inspired gradient, try a frosted gradient with cool tones like icy blues, whites, and silvers. This design mimics the beauty of winter frost and snowflakes, and the gradient gives it an ethereal, frosty look. It’s perfect for the colder months or a chic winter celebration.
Tip: Add a touch of shimmer or glitter for a frosty sparkle effect.
How to Achieve the Perfect Gradient
Achieving a flawless gradient can be tricky, but with the right tools and technique, you can master this art! Here’s how:
Prepare Your Nails: Start by cleaning and trimming your nails, and apply a base coat to protect them from staining.
Choose Your Colors: Select two or more colors that complement each other. Ensure that they blend well together for a seamless gradient effect.
Apply the Base Color: Apply the lightest color to your nails as the base and let it dry completely.
Create the Gradient: Use a makeup sponge or a nail art sponge to apply the darker color at the tips of your nails. Dab the sponge on your nails, gradually working your way towards the cuticle for a smooth transition.
Blend the Colors: Gently dab the sponge on your nails to blend the colors together for a seamless effect. You can repeat the process to intensify the gradient.
Seal the Look: Finish with a clear topcoat to lock in the design and add shine.
Conclusion
Gradient nails are an easy and stylish way to express your creativity. Whether you prefer soft pastels, bold neons, or metallic hues, there’s a gradient nail design for everyone. With these gradient nail art ideas, you’re sure to find a style that fits your personality and occasion, and they’re guaranteed to make your nails the center of attention!

When temperatures start to dip, staying warm while looking stylish becomes the goal. A shearling leather vest is a versatile, stylish layer that adds both warmth and texture to any outfit, making it a go-to piece for fall and winter fashion. Whether you’re aiming for a polished, professional look or a cozy, casual vibe, a shearling vest can elevate your wardrobe with ease.
In this guide, we’ll explore different ways to layer a shearling leather vest for fall and winter, covering outfit ideas that balance functionality and flair.
Why Choose a Shearling Leather Vest for Layering?
A shearling leather vest is the perfect mix of rugged durability and luxurious comfort. Here’s why it’s an ideal layering piece for cold weather:
Insulation: The shearling lining provides warmth without the bulk of a full jacket, making it ideal for layering.
Versatile Style: Leather’s classic appeal combined with the plush shearling makes it adaptable to various looks, from casual to semi-formal.
Durability: High-quality leather vests are long-lasting, making them a worthwhile investment for your fall and winter wardrobe.
Key Outfit Ideas for Layering with a Shearling Leather Vest
1. Casual Comfort: Flannel Shirt + Shearling Leather Vest
Layering a shearling vest over a cozy flannel shirt is a timeless look that’s perfect for weekends or casual outings.
Outfit Details: Start with a thick flannel or plaid shirt and add a shearling leather vest on top. For bottoms, choose dark jeans or cargo pants to keep the look grounded.
Footwear: Combat boots or leather ankle boots enhance the rugged vibe.
Accessories: Add a beanie or scarf for extra warmth and style.
2. Sleek and Sophisticated: Turtleneck + Shearling Leather Vest
For a chic, polished look, layer your vest over a fitted turtleneck.
Outfit Details: A black or neutral-colored turtleneck works well as a base layer. Pair with high-waisted trousers or skinny jeans to keep the outfit sleek.
Footwear: Choose heeled ankle boots or loafers to elevate the ensemble.
Accessories: Opt for minimalist jewelry, like a single chain necklace or small hoop earrings, to keep the focus on the vest.
3. Weekend Ready: Hoodie + Shearling Leather Vest
For an on-trend, laid-back look, try layering your vest over a hoodie.
Outfit Details: A fitted hoodie in a neutral or contrasting color pairs well with the structure of a shearling vest. Go for joggers or relaxed jeans for a casual, comfortable vibe.
Footwear: Sneakers or casual boots complete the outfit.
Accessories: A crossbody bag and beanie will round off this cozy, stylish look.
4. Office Chic: Button-Up Shirt + Shearling Leather Vest
Give your workwear a cozy twist by pairing a shearling vest with a classic button-up shirt.
Outfit Details: Wear a crisp, collared shirt as your base, with a neutral-colored shearling vest over it. Pair with tailored pants or a pencil skirt for a refined look.
Footwear: Heeled ankle boots or classic loafers add sophistication.
Accessories: Layer with a simple watch, stud earrings, and a structured handbag for a professional touch.
5. Layered Luxe: Sweater Dress + Shearling Leather Vest
Layering a shearling vest over a sweater dress combines elegance with comfort, making it ideal for winter outings.
Outfit Details: Choose a thick knit sweater dress in a neutral or rich color. Add the shearling vest for warmth and contrast. Cinch at the waist with a belt for added structure.
Footwear: Knee-high boots or ankle boots complete this luxe look.
Accessories: Opt for statement earrings and a tote bag for a sophisticated finish.
6. Edgy Elegance: Leather Jacket + Shearling Leather Vest
For a bold, layered look, try wearing your shearling leather vest over a leather jacket.
Outfit Details: Layer the vest over a fitted leather jacket for added warmth and a unique, edgy look. Black jeans or leather pants complete the outfit.
Footwear: Choose chunky boots or lace-up combat boots to enhance the edgy feel.
Accessories: Finish with dark sunglasses and bold rings for a rock-inspired vibe.
Tips for Layering Shearling Leather Vests Like a Pro
Balance Your Layers: Since the vest adds volume, balance it by choosing fitted or streamlined layers underneath.
Mix Textures: Pairing leather with different fabrics, like cotton or wool, adds depth and interest to your outfit.
Mind the Colors: Neutral or earthy colors work well with shearling, but don’t be afraid to add pops of color through accessories.
Choose the Right Length: Longer shearling vests pair well with shorter inner layers, while cropped vests can add shape over long tunics or dresses.

1. Journaling
Unity = The same concept and repeat of the same thing
Example: the red spheres in front of Target
variety = opposite of unity and has a lot of different elements put together
Example: The bag of gummy worms that I bought comes in a variety of colors and flavor
Balance = equilibrium that of state of the art usually can be put into two category symmetry or asymmetry
Example: the mcdonalds is a place that i visit oftenly and their logo is perfectly symmetrical
Emphasis = drawing attention to a point or area of the art work
Example= photo of going down the tunnel in new york all the attention focuses to one point
subordination= less focused area of the art work
Example= When you're driving your pov is center to the middle and the surrounding would be the subordination since you don't really focus your attention to it as much.
Directional forces = a guide or direction that the art work is making you look toward
Example= A painting of a animated finger that I saw that lead to you the entrance
Repetition = doing the same thing again and again in a work of art
Example: the picture of the parking lot full of cybertruck on the tesla instagram account
Rhythm = repetition of the same idea but with a small change to it
Example= The new york Oculus Transportation hub which has a weird rhythm when you see it.
Scale = size comparison between to things
Example= a toy car model of a car versus the actual car
proportion= controlling the size difference between to entity to make it more of a 1 to 1 scale
Example = mcdonalds window ads the proportions of the image are sized into the window
2. Connecting art to your world
The use of color in my day to day life would be the way I dress. An example would be color contrasting where if I wanted to wear some navy green cargo pants I would usually pair it with a black shirt with random print that does have a darker hue. When it comes to the shoes you can't wear any bold color statements such as neon colors or bright colors which relates to the intensity of the color. So you would end up picking some neutral color shoes.

Protrait: Landscape: Still life:
Protrait:
It is a picture of Marilyn Monroe catching a updraft from the New York subway grails. The photos tell us about the earlier days of black and white photography and the era of change in sexualization of females.
Landscape:
The landscape is the coastal line of Anne Marie Island. This is a place where many people call home and also where many people go idea of a beach get alway. When you envision a warm beach day with crisp water this is the image that most will invoke.
Still life:
The still life is a combination of a sphere, cube and hexagonal pyramid. I personally think that the artist created this instead of a bowl of fruits because shapes have a hard edge or it is perfectly shaped in a sphere where you can find these things in nature.

Weddings are a time for celebration, and for men, it’s the perfect occasion to dress your best. Whether you're the groom, groomsman, or a guest, picking the right outfit is key to looking sharp and feeling confident. Here are 10 amazing clothing options for men to consider for a wedding, ranging from traditional to contemporary styles.
1. Classic Three-Piece Suit
A three-piece suit is a timeless and sophisticated option for a wedding. It consists of a jacket, trousers, and a vest (waistcoat), adding an extra layer of formality to your outfit. Stick to darker shades like navy, charcoal, or black for an evening wedding, and you can experiment with lighter hues like beige or light grey for a daytime event.
Pro Tip:
Pair with a crisp white shirt, a classic tie, and polished leather shoes to complete the look.

4. Sherwani

7. Jodhpuri Suit
The Jodhpuri suit, also known as a bandhgala suit with a western twist, is another great option for weddings. This structured, fitted suit combines a classic western blazer style with Indian elements, often featuring embroidery or rich fabric.
Pro Tip:
Wear with a pocket square or brooch to elevate the look, and pair with formal shoes for a polished finish.
8. Indo-Western Fusion Outfit
For men who want a blend of traditional and modern, an Indo-Western outfit is the way to go. This can be a fusion of a traditional sherwani with western-style trousers or a jacket-style kurta. It’s perfect for men who want a unique yet stylish wedding look.
Pro Tip:
Choose an outfit with clean lines and minimal embellishments for a modern aesthetic, and pair it with loafers or brogues.
9. Embroidered Kurta with Dhoti
For a more traditional Indian look, an embroidered kurta with dhoti is a great option. The intricate detailing on the kurta adds a festive touch, while the dhoti brings an element of cultural richness. This outfit is ideal for weddings with a traditional or cultural theme.
Pro Tip:
Pair this ensemble with embroidered juttis or mojari shoes for a complete traditional look.
10. Designer Blazer with Trousers
For a contemporary look, a designer blazer paired with trousers is an excellent option for a semi-formal wedding. Blazers with bold patterns, intricate details, or unique cuts can add a stylish edge to your outfit without going over the top.
Pro Tip:
Opt for printed or embroidered blazers if you want to make a statement, and pair them with solid-colored trousers for balance.
Conclusion:
When it comes to wedding attire for men, there are endless options, whether you prefer classic western suits or traditional Indian wear. The key is to choose an outfit that not only fits the occasion but also makes you feel confident and comfortable. From three-piece suits and tuxedos to sherwanis and bandhgalas, you can make a lasting impression with any of these styles.

The Swoosh, always a prominent feature of any Air Force 1, takes on a new life here. Drenched in vibrant red, it slices through the design, evoking the swift precision of Chiefs players on the field. Complementing this, the side panels of the sneaker are adorned with a combination of textures, including a collage of football laces and tribal-inspired patterns, echoing the grit and resilience the team shows game after game.
The Iconic Chiefs Logo: Symbol of Legacy
One of the most captivating elements of the Kansas City Chiefs Go Chiefs Nike Air Force 1 is the placement of the Chiefs logo. The unmistakable arrowhead logo is prominently featured on the shoe, serving as a testament to the team’s storied history and incredible achievements, including multiple Super Bowl championships. The logo’s placement on the side and heel reinforces its significance, making it clear that these sneakers aren’t just about style — they’re about heritage.
The Kansas City Chiefs logo adds a timeless appeal to the sneaker, making it an instant classic. It’s more than just branding — it’s a reminder of the grit, determination, and hard work that have defined the Chiefs throughout the years. The sneaker becomes not just a fashion statement, but a symbol of team pride, tradition, and excellence.
Artistry and Detail: The Sneaker as Canvas
Nike’s Air Force 1 is famous for its versatility, and the Kansas City Chiefs edition takes full advantage of this. The sneaker’s design draws inspiration from both football elements and street art, combining them in a way that feels both innovative and rooted in tradition. The football stitch detailing along the panels gives the sneaker a rugged, tactile feel, while the intricate red and yellow geometric patterns speak to the vibrancy and dynamism of the Chiefs’ gameplay.
The patterns also lend a sense of movement to the design, mirroring the fast-paced action of a Chiefs game. The contrasting red and yellow lines are not just decorative — they visually mimic the routes, plays, and movements of football, bringing the sport into the design in an abstract yet powerful way.
On the heel tab, the Nike Air logo remains, but with a twist — the bold red against the white backdrop adds an extra layer of pop, elevating the shoe’s overall aesthetic. It’s this attention to small details that sets the Kansas City Chiefs Air Force 1 apart from other collaborations and gives it a unique identity that’s unmistakably tied to the Chiefs.
