Delhi: There is a great tragedy in West Indies cricket. Two former cricketers who represented the country died on the same day. On December 8 (Friday), former Windies off-spinner Clyde Butts (66) died in a road accident. Former batsman Joe Solomon (93) passed away due to…
[video description: a brown peahen with purple/blue iridescence on her neck, shown from the shoulders up in a white bathtub, surrounded by crickets she rapidly consumes while beeping happily. Partway through she makes a distorted beep because her face is full of crickets, and the camera person wheezes softly with laughter. There's a part of a flat egg carton nearby, with more crickets on it]
My friend at Uluru Reptiles gifted Bug some crickets at the end of the show today, so she got a nice big buggy dinner, and now she's passed out on my legs awaiting bedtime in peace.
[image description: the peahen from above, sleeping in a loose loaf shape atop bare human legs, on a purple pillow that rests on a backwards chair. The peahen is very pretty and sweet faced in sleep]
I love a lot of things about peafowl but watching them use their own fluffy necks as a pillow is fantastic
look, i don't even like the amporas that much, but the people openly proclaiming that the references to the aquarius symbol are actually nazi symbols makes me really uncomfortable
it's very obviously not intentional. the aquarius symbol has been around longer than the SS symbol has. the scars on cronus's head are references to harry potter, much like large parts of the ampora's characterization. they're lightning bolts because that's what harry potter has. there's two of them because that's the aquarius symbol, and as a reference to dualscar (who has those same scars in a lot of fanon interpretations, albeit further across his face).
you can be racist or even genocidal and not be a nazi. not all white supremacists are nazis, even. the comparison rings as insensitive at best.
less discourse about whether the roman campers are child soldiers more discourse about how reyna/jason/percy/frank consistently tried to topple the democratic process of camp jupiter
@illogicalghost submitted: hi! i have 3 bugs to share ^_^ first is a wasp(?) that looks really cool. i think the one on the left in the second photo might also be a wasp? it flew up to this cricket on the right and landed on top of it, and they walked around together. not sure if it was trying to eat the cricket or what. it was like an inch long and shiny black, very pretty. they were found in southern wisconsin. 🐝🦗
Hello! They are both definitely wasps yes. The first is a yellow-legged mud-dauber and the second is likely a steel-blue cricket-hunter given its prey there! Great black digger wasps will also prey on crickets (and other Orthopterans) but their bodies are not as blue as this one is. Anyhoo she's gonna bring that cricket to her nest for her babies to nibble :)
I love how football teams get potentially knocked out after a single loss meanwhile cricket world cup group matches are like "yes, Pakistan lost the last four matches but they still have a chance of qualifying to the quarter finals if India ties against Australia and Bangladesh defeats New Zealand by a 6.9 run rate and Ireland smashes at least 17 sixers against Sri Lanka but also loses the game against them and also if it rains 420mm in Lords stadium and the King of England trips on a banana peel and dies and the Australian Prime Minister disappears in a swimming pool."
Have you ever heard of Pixel Cats End? If you're into petsite games you might want to check it out, especially since it's just celebrating the end of beta.
I played it! It's ok!
Honestly it's a bit too "soft" for me in terms of its site tone. Accumulating a lot of cats is too easy, and in spite of having some great mechanics related to feeding your village, building infrastructure, and a fantastic relationship system, it feels like there's no consequences to anything. No one gets sick, friendships don't fall apart, there's no way to lose cats without intentionally getting rid of them, etc.
Plus, its breeding system isn't super compelling to me, because it mostly used realistic genetics. It's not like FR or later Lioden where there's a ton of crazy markings, bases, colors, and breeds. When I played PCE, it was pretty standard cats with very normal colors and markings.
Which is a shame because I LOVED how it decoupled the breeding from standard Male/Female pairings. I'd never seen that done before.
THAT SAID I'm absolutely positive that this is all a Me-Thing. I'm sure these same reasons it didn't really land with me is the same reasons why people love it so much. Most people aren't Me who likes Lioden explicitly because the lions die lmao.
actually i do think theres room for a fun(tragic) alternate reading where its not raffles that dies in knees of the gods but bunny- hes fading in and out of consciousness the whole time, losing blood, suffers a specific and severe injury; vs raffles who just (from bunny's pov) Stops Talking. and with both the novel and the last collection having a slightly different tone and being a little more objective and critical about raffles than the first two, maybe its raffles taking up the pen name
Unfinished comic that I’ve bee sitting on for literally over two years. Anyways when you and the bestie have a complex situationship that very quickly spirals into something so agonizingly one sided (unless….? 😳)
wallahi the fujoshi goggles are off (maybe even permanently, i fear), but i think dabi and hawks deserved one final confrontation. the question is, what kind of final interaction could they even have gotten? i have no idea tbh like i never gave it much thought let me think about it *pensive*
