If I can’t suggest enough if you live in Oregon and are going across Willamette Hwy visit Salt Creek Falls.

For some reason my family never visited it even though we drove past its innocuous sign ever year. Huge mistake!

The main lookout is so easy to access and with a little more work you can hike all the way down to the bowl.

Really a wonder probably in any season.

I want to organize local hikes where people from different specialties (geologists, botanists, entomologists, etc.) point out all the cool things they see and teach the others about it.
