Hi! We're the iolite system!

This is mostly just a randomly blended aesthetic blog where we post whatever we like, usually things that make us say "I look like this!" in the most vague sense possible, with occasional in-depth discussions of alterhuman experiences. We avoid posting trauma to this page, but we also don't consistently use tags for a variety of reasons. Proceed with caution please!

Collectively we're a transmasc rabbit therian, and as of this post our body is 24 years old. We've been involved with the alterhuman community since we were around 17, and the plural community since around 18. Our body and culture is Greek, but we're from the US. We're currently learning 3 languages at beginner level (ASL, Spanish, and Japanese) and we intend to learn 3 more (Greek, Portuguese, and German).

We're a traumagenic, complex system (we strongly support undiagnosed, unknown origin, and non-traumagenic systems too). Our spiritual beliefs are deeply intertwined with our plural experience. There's slightly over 20ish of us.

We use cannabis to make our symptoms easier to deal with. Our goal is to switch and cofront at-will. I expect it'll be awhile until we get there, but we have to start somewhere ����

We don't really want to use a DNI anymore, but we don't like discourse blogs or callouts; we stopped participating in online arguments a few years ago. We'll block you if we don't like you, if you make us or our friends uncomfortable, or if we're concerned that you may be hurting others. We also don't check messages.

I won't introduce everyone individually, but under the cut is some info on who uses this blog the most!

-Sticks (he/it/they)

Subsystem of creatureboys. They love soft pastels, arcade carpet patterns, cute art, kidcore aesthetics, and funny creatures. I hesitate to call them age regressors, moreso they just have a childlike personality. They'll probably reblog a lot of pictures of kittens doing things that kittens don't usually (or shouldn't) do. Might also reblog a lot of CatCrumb's doodles and occasionally some babycore.

-Cole (he/him)

Has been co-host since we were a teenager. Wears red. Down-to-earth dogboy, likes emo music and alternative fashion. Typically reblogs a lot of stuff about humanizing mental health discussions. Has his own blog elsewhere.

-Vic (he/it)

Similarities between both Cole and Stick. Raver dogboy who gets a lot of migraines. Age regressor. Loves neon colours, busy patterns, and loud music. Might reblog some eyestrain.

-Tack (he/they)

Pastel goth slutty dogboy. He's around pretty often, but as of typing this I'm not sure what kinds of things he posts. Might reblog some fashion?

-Link (he/they)

Introject from the Zelda series. Identifies heavily with his source, but he isn't source-compliant. The Zelda series is a special interest for all of us, but especially for him. Reblogs a lot of fanart, as well as information regarding the otherkin and fictionkin community. Attends ASL lessons.

-Suzy (he/him)

Introject of Suzuya Juuzou from Tokyo Ghoul. Not source compliant, but loves his source. Mostly reblogs source fanart to our main, but might reblog some fashion or crafts here once in awhile. Takes care of the body in situations the rest of us can't handle.

-Javi (he/him)

Wants to keep most information about himself private, but loves pastel colours, fairy kei and decora fashion, and sweets. He goes to our Japanese language classes.

-Anthony (he/him/his, fe/fin/fis)

Former host 2017-2020. Age regressor and rabbit therian. Hasn't fronted in years, but used to post a lot of discourse opinions that the rest of us disagree with strongly. If you dig through our blog, please know that any discourse, especially if it's more than a year old, is not currently a valid representation of how we think.

Things I think about a lot more than I admit: That moment when the creature discovers that the DeLaceys are unhappy because they’re poor and instantly stops stealing even what little he does from them. And like. Not only does he stop stealing from them even though that was the easiest means of providing for himself and even though he probably wasn’t even taking enough to do any serious harm, he goes so far as to actually do whatever he can to help them. He could have just kept taking, but instead he went back to a meager diet of whatever he could manage to forage all while expending extra energy just to try to make life a little easier for people that didn’t even know he existed.

And to think - this was long before he even considered actually trying to make himself known to them. It wasn’t like he was only doing it to make himself look better to them or to convince them to like him, he was just doing it because he cared.

Anyways fuck Felix DeLacey and literally every other person that treated the corpse child with such malice. He really deserved so much better.

@creatureboy @infiniteearth88 @usualchatter thanks for the replies guys! So I'm only posting the boring/vacuous coffee posts etc out of being actually bored, they're normally just watered down with other stuff so are less apparent and therefore less tedious ha! Also fun shooting raw/editing on my phone a bit, forever just trying to find lines of colour pushing etc...

Basically, photography wise I'm struggling to put anything new and that actually excites me out, as ALL the things I shoot  (for the last few years now), are under wraps until the new programme i’ve been filming on airs in late 2022. Currently trying to dig deep back into my film (35mm) archives, and find film stuff I’ve shot that isn’t linked to my ‘Job’ work haha. Sat scanning away right now, so hopefully I’ll have some nice fresh stuff too!

And sorry for all the questions, I got SMASHED in the inbox pretty hard, and had a couple of long ass trips doing layovers for 8hrs in airports so got stuck into the backlog, I’ve been slowly working through and deleting the boring trail though

Definitely considering reblogging more other content that I find interesting, but not as a full on thing to insert my stuff into I don’t think. I’m not toooo interested in trying to get the odd 500,000k notes on a post like times of old really, as no-one ever went on to buy prints/find my other socials etc from here, so it’s really just tumblr self-fulfilling. 

Anyhow, I’ve spent the last few weeks tweaking my film scanning and digital dev process so finally getting somewhere towards a workflow and results I’m happy with which is nice.

Bottom line is, I’m keen to get this going again just as a nice thing for me and the two or three people who follow along if nothing else! Hope you all had a great Christmas and New Year,
