Bottom Binghe Week '24 prompts are here!

Bottom Binghe Week is an 18+ multiship prompt event celebrating any and all bottom and/or sub Luo Binghe content. This year, #bottombingheweek24 will take place from December 1-8. Any and all content is welcome, whether or not it follows these prompts; you may also use prompts from last year or from our bingo mini-event! We only ask that you tag your work appropriately and follow the rules of the site where it's posted (we don't want to be the reason anyone's account gets nuked!).

Hello everyone!

We will be hosting the first ever Littles Are Known Starker Bingo event to indulge all our Littles or CGs in our close knit fandom! We are extremely excited for this event and we hope to see creators expand their horizons and explore the wonders of Little Space.

We have two (2) pre-made 5x5 bingos. All with cute and soft prompts. We highly encourage you to be as creative as you can when filling a prompt!

FAQ:

What must be included in the content of a filled prompt? Stephen Strange (any version of him: film, TV, or comics) must be either the main or co-main character. Otherwise, anything goes!

What must be included in the tags of Tumblr and Twitter posts? Please use the hashtag #strangehalloween2023 and the # of the prompt you're filling (i.e. #no6 and/or #witch). On Tumblr, please include additional tags for NSFW and common triggers (see AO3 for examples).

When can I post my prompt fill? In the spirit of the theme, these should be posted in October! We'd prefer if you post prompts the day of or after the day has passed. For example, prompt 10 fills can be posted on or after Oct 10, and preferably not before.

What medium can I use? Anything! Written prose, poetry, gifsets, mood boards, artwork, all is acceptable as a prompt fill. It's all about Stephen Strange in any form he comes in.

Can I combine Strange Tales of Halloween prompts into one submission (i.e. #1 "What was that? Is somebody there?" and #6 witch)? Sure! If you post it on social media, you can use both prompt tags to help us identify it as such.

There are two prompts per day. Do I have to do both? You can use the sentence prompts, the words prompt, or do a mix of them!

Can I use this prompt list with other prompt lists/bingo cards? Absolutely! Combine it with any other event you'd like to use it with.

Are there any limits to how many prompts I can use/have to use? Nope! Participate with one piece or 31 pieces! Do as much as you'd like--we'll love to see it!

The Merlin Library’s Merlin Finale 10 Year Anniversary Prompt Challenge

October 6 - December 25, 2022 The Merlin Library Discord

The Merlin Library is celebrating the decade anniversary after the Merlin Season 5 finale left behind one of the most memorable television endings and emotionally devastated all of its viewers as it aired on the night before Christmas…ahem. The Merlin Finale 10 Year Anniversary Prompt Challenge is a ‘prompt’ challenge designed to capture elements of each episode as the 5th season celebrates its 10th anniversary since airing. Each week is dedicated to a specific episode until the week of the finale, where the two episodes aired within days of each other.

This fest runs for 12 weeks, starting on October 6th with the original airing date of Arthur’s Bane: Part 1, and ending with Diamond of the Day: Part 2 on December 24th. 

All creators are welcome to participate. Content is open to fic, art, edits, gifs, manips, meta, poetry, podfic, and whatever else you can creatively come up with during these 12 weeks.

You do not need to do something for each week, but there will be a special prize for those who do. Participate as much or as little as you want. 

You may tag #TML10ANNIVERSARY and your content will be reblogged to our main Tumblr, themerlinlibrary.tumblr.com.  If you are submitting to AO3, feel free to add your creations to the TML_10yrfest collection.

HOW DO PROMPTS WORK?

The themes of each week are dedicated to the episode that aired. You can write fix-it fics for each episode, or fanart related to that episode, or use the word prompts or color prompts for whatever you make. The content you make doesn’t have to be specific to that episode or an ‘episode tag’ art/fic necessarily. 

The prompts are meant to inspire you, not box your creative muse in. You can interpret the prompts as literally or loosely as you want. 

The only prompt requirement is that whatever you create is set in or around the canon era Merlin universe. The fest aims to celebrate the show Merlin and it’s original setting. As great as fusions, fandom crossovers, and modern setting AU content are, this is not the fest for that. 

RULES

You may combine this fest with other ongoing challenges (ie: Merlin Bingo, Kinkalot, etc).

Each prompt week opens from the point at which the episode would have aired. However, there won’t be a deadline for when you post a prompt if it’s from an earlier week, and you have until the 25th of December to post. There will also be an amnesty week after the 25th for anyone who couldn’t post their fills in time. We understand it’s a hectic season for most of us. The event will officially end (and the AO3 collection will close) on January 1st, 2023.

In the interest of fairness, all pairings (or none, if you prefer to create gen/platonic works) are welcome. 

The last rule is to have fun. Please do not stress if you aren’t inspired for every prompt, and have fun creating!

Event Info

WHUMPTOBER is a month-long, prompt-based creation challenge (think: Inktober, but whumpier). There are 31 Official themes this year - one for each day of the month - which can be used, skipped, or combined in any way you’d like. They are meant to serve as inspiration without being taken literally (e.g. you don't have to include the exact wording into your work). Additionally, there are 3 prompts for each theme.  These are optional suggestions and can be used in conjunction with the theme, or as options/alternatives.  We want to give everyone as much creative freedom as possible, as well as increase event accessibility for folks with triggers and squicks.

Creators can PRODUCE work in any media they choose, including but not limited to: writing, visual artwork, and photo/video/audio edits. Creators can PARTICIPATE as much or as little as they want (i.e. you don’t have to do ALL the prompts if you don’t want to) and prompts can be used in any order. They are also free to use even after the event ends.

Q. What kind of content can I make? Can it be NSFW?

This is a MIXED MEDIA event! You can write fic, post meta, doodle or paint, create a gif set or photo edit, link a song, or get crafty with video - anything goes. As for NSFW, make what you like, we just hope that you’ll tag your work accordingly so that others participating in the event can stay safe :)

Q. Do I have to do all 31 Days? Can I post early/late?

Participate as much or little as you like, and post whenever! Just be sure to tag your posts properly (ex. #no.11, #psych101). Combining prompts into one piece of work is okay, and posting late is as well so as long as it’s in October.

Q. What if I don’t understand a theme?

Send us an ask! We’re happy to help clarify. That said, the themes are entirely up for interpretation :)

Q. Can I combine Whumptober with other creation challenges?

Absolutely! That’s like shooting two whumpees with one bullet :)

Q. Can I upload/repost my whumptober content to other social media platforms?

Of course! We’ve created an AO3 Collection to archive any fics posted there. The archive can be accessed here. The blog is the official archive, so please respect the boundaries of any closeted whumpers in your social circle :)

Q. Can I use prompts to write a new chapter for an existing fic?

Yes

Q. An existing fic I am currently writing contains many of the Whumptober prompts, can I use it?

If you are actively writing this fic at the moment with the whumptober prompts in mind, yes. If it just conveniently checks the boxes, then please don’t. You can, however, add new chapters answering one or more of the prompts.

Q. What kind of characters can I write for?

Fandom characters, OC characters, human, furry, alien, cyborg, whoever you like.

Q. Can I use a prompt multiple times?

Yes,  but it only counts once

Q. If I’m not comfortable with one day's prompts can I use a prompt of a different day as a substitute and still be a completionist?

Yes, but please do not use a specific prompt twice. We have also created an alternate prompts list that you can draw from [here].

Q. Where can I post my work?

Post where and how you want. You don’t even have to (cross)post it to Tumblr. Just keep in mind if it’s not on Tumblr we will not be able to add it to the blog archive.

Q. Can I start posting early?

You can, but this is an October event and wouldn’t it be more fun with everyone doing it at the same time? That being said, you can post early, but we won’t be reblogging any work predating October 1st.

Q. Do I have to finish a fic I started/can I post WIP’s.?

Yes you can post WIPs. And you’re not obligated to finish it in October for it to count towards being a completionist.  

Q. Is co-writing allowed?

Yes, absolutely, and it would count towards being a completionist for both/all of you :)

Q. Do I have to create 31 standalone pieces to be considered a completionist or can I write one continuous story?

One continuous story is fine.  The challenge is to write something for 31 prompts. If that’s spread over 31 fics or just one, you are still considered a completionist. (The same goes for every other media you choose.)

Q. Is there a min/max limit on word count?

There is no limit

Q. Can I combine prompts? Is there a limit on how many?

No limit and combine as many as you’d like.

Q. Is a hc/angst focus ok?

Q. My interpretation of the prompt isn't whumpy at all, does that count?

No, sorry, but keep in mind that whump [see definition] is something very nuanced and different for everyone and emotional whump/angst is just as much part of it, as is physical whump and torture. So before you dismiss your idea, think about this.

Q. Can I start working on the prompts before October?

Absolutely! That’s why we posted the prompts a month in advance. We recognise how difficult it can be creating for 31 days in “real time”.

Yes, if you want your work archived on the blog. If not, feel free to use whatever tags you want.  

Q. Does combining prompts count towards completion?

There are no rules, just be sure to properly tag your trigger warnings. And keep in mind Tumblr’s policies if you are posting it here (or the policies of whatever site you use).

Yes, but as with everything else, tags are your best friend.

Q. Can I cross post on other blogs?

Yes, multiple platforms and blogs are perfectly acceptable. You can also post different works to different accounts under different names, without posting them everywhere at once.

Mustache Cody Prompt Bingo!

Hello all! Sorry for the incoming wall of text, but here you can find all the important info pertaining to this prompt bingo event. We ask you to please have a read-through of this post before you submit a request for your Bingo card! It may be helpful if you have any general questions too. :)

What is a Prompt Bingo? 

A prompt bingo is where themed prompts are handed out in the form of a bingo card. In the case of our bingo, each card consists of 24 random prompts from our list, +1 free space in the middle, and you can fill them out at your own leisure/pace with the loose goal of completing one full column/row, aka a Bingo, or all the cards on your square, which would be a blackout!

What is Mustache Cody?

We are glad you asked. 

Mustache Cody is the silly name we have come to refer to this modern Codywan AU we have created. The joke stemmed from this post here, and spiralled out of control. In this au, Cody has a mustache, and Obi-Wan does not. And they both sometimes have mullets. Cody is a shorts and socks and sandals-wearing math teacher, Obi-Wan is a very well-dressed gym teacher, and they both teach at the same high school. Other vague ideas we had is Cody and Obi both enjoy rollerblading, Quinlan is a substitute physics teacher, Yoda likes to steal people's tea in the teacher's lounge, etc…. This AU is very much Codywan, and can be quite chaotic.

Because we thought it would be fun! 😏

Posting

The window to post your works for this event opens on October 31st! We ask you to wait until then to start posting any of your completed fills. And of course, even after October 31st, you can request a card! There are no time limits to request a card or complete your fills, but likely in late December we will be closing the form and, if all goes well, resuming with a somewhat new list of prompts at some point in the new year! 

And be sure to tag us in your completed fills, which we will be reblogging! And also hashtag it #mustachecodybingo. We also have an AO3 collection where you can submit them as well. As well, be sure to include a picture of your Bingo card with the appropriate square crossed off with every completed fill(easy to do in your phone's image editor or in any drawing software!).

Rules

For each of your fills, Cody has to have a mustache. Or if not, the fact that he is mustache-less must be relevant somehow in how you interpret your prompt. Ie...Cody has shaved, and Obi-Wan is horrified. But we encourage you to ‘stache your Cody!

You do NOT have to stick to all of our ideas for this au exactly. Interpret the prompts however you like, no restrictions or limitations on creativity. You can bend things here and there if you have a good idea, and it suits your story. We aren't strict or picky. We just want you to have fun! We do just ask you to stick to the rough themes/guidelines of our modern high school teachers codywan au.

You have the option of swapping out any prompt with any other prompt on your sheet one time per card, and you can interpret the free space with anything you think of(however, as the first day of the Bingo is October 31st, we gently encourage you to consider Halloween as your free space prompt if you so desire!). 

You can choose whether you'd like your card to have the possibility of including some NSFW prompts(though we only have a few to include in the randomized pool). But, this does not mean you cannot interpret any of the other prompts as NSFW!

One fic or piece of artwork can fill multiple prompts at once! 

After achieving a bingo, or even a blackout, you can request a second bingo card if you like. We do encourage you to try to complete a bingo on your card before requesting a second one, but will make exceptions!! (And if you are requesting a second bingo card, let us know in the google form. We will make sure you get an entirely new set of prompts.) However, no pressure to even get a bingo, have fun filling out any of the prompts on your card!

Writing fills have no length limits, and artist fills can be as simple as a rough sketch. We don’t want to limit people from participating and want this to be a very lax and leisurely fun event, so don’t so much worry about the quality of your fills so much as that you have fun with it!

Gobblepot Halloween 2022

It’s here! The spookiest month of the year, the time for monsters, spirits, and treats! And that means the traditional Gobblepot Halloween event~

This event marks an anniversary for the Gazette as well, since Halloween was the first event organized. Can you believe this would be the 7th Halloween we celebrate here? This year the event will run between 24-31 October.

We have a bingo card to spark some creativity:

It also holds a secret art underneath all these prompt blocks. Each entry would reveal one block, so if you want to see the full picture, please submit works for the event by using the tag #GobblepotHalloween2022 (you can also @ the Gobblepot Gazette, because Tumblr, you know?)

We have created an AO3 collection for your works, so feel free to use it as well.  As always, you can write, draw, make playlists, gifs, videos, or whatever else you feel like doing! We’re looking forward to seeing what the spooky month will inspire in you!

bingo rules and faq

how does this work?

gaalee bingo is a low-key, no-obligation event to create gaalee content! this blog will gather prompts throughout the month of september, and cards will be filled during the month of october. bingo cards will be created in 3x3, 4x4, and 5x5 formats. each card will have a unique set of prompts. individual cards will not be issued; rather, cards will be posted publicly here on tumblr (2 cards of each size--a green card and a red card--because, well, it’s gaalee). you can choose to work from a single card or multiple cards. prompt fills can be art, fic, moodboards, playlists, icon sets, panel edits, memes, cosplay, photos of your dog dressed as gaara, etc. as long as it’s gaalee and fits a prompt, it counts!

when is this happening?

prompt submissions will be open from september 1st - september 30th, 2020. all bingo cards will be published on october 1st. you can post your prompt fills at any time between october 1st - october 31st (halloween!) 

how do i submit a prompt?

go to the submissions page to submit prompts. prompts will not be published individually or associated with your username, so feel free to submit as many as you want. i will simply be using the submissions queue to gather prompts to develop the bingo cards. submitting prompts is not an obligation to participate in filling a bingo card. 

what kind of prompts are needed?

prompts can be any topic you’d like! a prompt can be as simple as a color, as straightforward as an AU, or as broad as an emotion. please ensure prompts are no more than 1-3 words; this is so they fit onto the bingo square while still being legible. prompts should be safe-for-work so that anyone can fill them. i reserve the right to edit or decline to use a prompt. not all prompts may make it onto a card, especially if there are a lot of them. examples of possible prompts might be things like: ‘high school AU’, ‘mutual pining’, ‘sunflowers’, ‘bliss’. 

how do i sign up to fill a bingo card?

there are no formal sign-ups for this event. cards will be posted publicly and tagged ‘cards’. there will be a total of 6 cards in 3 sizes (3x3, 4x4, and 5x5). you can announce that you’re choosing to fill a certain card, or you can pick from among many cards. just go with what sparks your interest! this is supposed to be a fun, laid-back event in this very stressful year. 

i don’t think i can create (3, 5, 25) things in a month. do i need to aim for a bingo or black out?

nope! if you want to fill 1 square, that’s fine. if you want to pick and choose only the prompts on a card that speak to you, that’s also fine. if you want to black-out all 6 cards, i will shit my pants in awe, but that’s absolutely fine. 

what are the minimum requirements for a prompt fill?

i’m going to leave this open to the individual participants. if you feel like what you’ve created meets the prompt, it counts. i’m not here to judge your creative interpretations. a single creation (fic, art, icon set, playlist) can only count towards one bingo square at a time. however, if you make something that is long-form, such as a multichapter fic or a comic (or a rock opera), individual chapters or comic pages (or songs) can be counted as separate prompt fills. 

can my prompt fill be nsfw?

sure, if that’s where the inspiration takes you! any nsfw content posted on tumblr should be appropriately tagged and behind a ‘read more’. any nsfw content hosted off-site should likewise be clearly labeled. if you are creating nsfw art, be mindful of tumblr’s content guidelines. you may want to consider posting a cropped or censored image on tumblr and linking to another site (twitter, privatter, pixiv, imgur) for the full image. i ask that individuals under 18 not create nsfw material for the bingo. 

i have something i’m already working on that meets a prompt, can that count?

yes, with caveats. the creation must be new (posted on or after october 1st) to count towards a bingo square. if you already have a project in the works and something new you’re adding to the project meets a prompt, that can count. for example, if you’re in the middle of publishing a 500k sci-fi epic, and you post chapter 13 of that during the bingo period, you can count that towards a square with the prompt ‘sci-fi’. if you say you created something with the bingo/prompt in mind, i’m gonna take your word for it. the only other restriction is that if you’re creating your art/fic/etc. for another event (e.g. a ship week, theme week, exchange), you should check the rules of that event to ensure they don’t have any restrictions on counting a project towards multiple events.

what do i get for completing my card?

badges will be awarded for the following: 1st prompt fill, “scattershot” fills (filling 3 or more prompts that don’t result in a bingo), four corners, any bingo line, and blackout (whole card completed). i’ll post your badge when i reblog your post. badges are just little icons that you can keep for your own satisfaction. they don’t convey any special privileges other than my undying admiration. 

how do i post a prompt fill?

post your fill here on tumblr (or a link to your fill if it’s hosted offsite), and tag @gaalee-bingo in your post! be sure to actually ping the blog directly; if you just post it to the tags, your prompt fill may be lost. be sure to note which prompt and which card you’re completing and if you hit any of the badge levels. any longform fic should be behind a ‘read more’ or hosted offsite, so as not to clog people’s dashes. please be considerate when tagging and warning for your fills; use your best judgment to warn for common triggers. if it’s been more than 24 hours since you posted your prompt fill and i have yet to reblog it and/or issue your badge, please send an ask here or to @ghoste-catte. if you’re posting a fill to Ao3, you can add it to the gaalee_bingo collection by typing ‘GaaLee_Bingo’ (without quotation marks) in the ‘collections’ box when you post you work. 

what if i fill a prompt after october 31st?

we always love more gaalee material! tag the blog, and i’ll still do my best to reblog it! i just can’t commit to a 24-hour timeframe or to creating badges after the conclusion of the event. i’ll do my best, though.

WIP Update - 26 Oct 2022

A decently productive writing week -  I touched 6 fics (1 WIPs & 5 new works) for a total of 2578 words.  

I’m catching up on getting stuff posted -   Over on Ao3,  @psychiccatpanda posted the epilogue to our Stucky --> Stuckony non-traditional A/B/O fic, and I posted a Rhodey POV scene retelling from IM3 as well as  a post-Endgame canon divergent fic where Bucky reconciles with Tony,  and a  WinterIron Old Dark House fluffy ficlet. On Tumblr I posted a  Stony domestic fic with bonus IronBros for last week’s @flashfictionfridayofficial prompt and a  Thor & Natasha mission/friendship fic to fill an @avengersbingo square as well as two October writing challenges. 

I’m still at 12 active WIPs  (with a couple of maybe TBCs)  with my current   deadlines being three October creative challenges:  @fictober-event,  @flufftober & @whumptober.  The @reforgedzine  deadline is also looming large.  :: bites nails::

Whumptober, Flufftober & Fictober [ Running thru 31 Oct]

I’m going to attempt to fill prompts from these three creative challenges - at least one per week of the month - preferably combining one prompt from each into a single fic.  

I’ve filled prompts for Day 1 (Fic, Whump & Fluff),  Day 7 (Fic and semi-Whump), Day 12 (Fic, Whump & Fluff), Day 18  (Fic and Fluff) and Day 25 (Fic and Fluff)  with Day 29 in progress.  I  may circle back and fill a few more belated prompts  at some point. 

Reforged - A WinterIron Zine [Deadline 12 Nov]

I got accepted to submit a  1k-3.5k fic for this project, and have submitted a basic idea &  belatedly completed the final checkin.    I am stressed and struggling, already up to 3404 words and still need to get the main plot wrapped up - I basically need to finish the damn thing and then ruthlessly edit to get down to the max word count…  

Avengers Bingo [AvB] (Runs thru 24 Dec)

Ten fills posted (7 to Ao3)  and 0 WIPs - I decided to further challenge myself on this 16-square card by pairing up each square with a unique combo of 2 original MCU Avengers, with the final square being PolyVengers. With the help of the STB Enthusiasts Discord folks - I’ve got all 16 squares  planned out, at least in terms of who to write about, and half of them have some sort of idea or crossover square to go along with them. Feel free to toss other plot  bunnies my way…  

* B3 - Road Trip  -  Bruce & Thor  - Post Grandmaster, pre-Thanos  space shenanigans

* B4 - Age Gap   - Thor/Tony - possible crossover with TSB One Night Stand  (obvious title: Thunderstruck)

* C1 - Opposites Attract - Clint/Thor  - there was a fun Tumblr  headcanon going around about a Bumbling Foreigner whose ignorance of  local customs  results in him flirting with/proposing to the prince -  this seems like a perfect matchup! 

* C2 - Soft under Hard Exterior Trope -  posted Opening Up, Step by Step,  to Tumblr yesterday - it’s a Natasha & Thor kinda-sorta mission fic that also fills the @fictober-event prompt “You know I’d do anything.” and @flufftober First Dance prompts. 

* C3 - Reincarnation AU  -  filled this with  A Unexpected Reunion as a crossover with  last week’s @flashfictionfridayofficial prompt [#FFF172 A Ghost from the Past]  It will get posted to Ao3  before the bingo closes.

* D1 - Friends w/ Benefits  - Clint/Steve - crossover with MWAPB Hawkeye/Clint Barton and possibly SRB - Never Have I Ever

* D2 - Romeo & Juliet AU  -  basic idea:  Steve (jock) & Tony  (geek) trying out for title roles in R&J - despite their respective  FWB groups thinking it’s a terrible idea.  Title:  Two Polycules, Alike in Dignity

*  D3 - Bed Sharing  -  Bruce/Natasha - AoU compliant.

Man With a Plan (Steve Rogers) Bingo [MWAPB] (Runs thru 31 Dec)

Twelve fills, 1 WIPs and several Vague Ideas/potential cross fills with other bingos.  Prompts cheerfully accepted!  

* B3 - Farmer’s Market  -  crossover with TSB Doing Groceries. Moodboard + ficlet?

* I1 - Steve is here for TFAtWS  - this might go well with my BBB  “Oh, hell no"  square - Steve trolling  Bucky & Sam by sending the old man in with his shield?  (moodboard & ficlet?) 

* N1 - School AU/Teacher AU  - if I decide to continue on with Technicalities   - I could fill this square  :: ponders::

* N3 - Online shopping - this might be fun as a crossover with BBB Thighs  Sam buys a revealing swimsuit for Bucky as a gag that gets Steve in a tizzy.

* N4 - Soulmates -  got inspired by a dream to start a Stucky fantasy AU (magician!Steve/ensorcelled!Bucky) that @bill-longbow  is collaborating on with me.  This will also fill my Stucky Bingo AU: Supernatural square.  We’re currently sitting at 1640 words  (984-ish of which are mine). Current Last Line:  "My men will accompany you back to Brookline in the morning.”

* G4 - Canon Divergence post CA:TWS - possible  crossover with BBB  Kill List – Bucky wreaking havoc on Hydra bases and  Steve & Sam catch up with him

* G5 - Friends to Lovers -  might use this for Chapter 3 of Mutual Pinning

*  O2 - Sex Pollen  -  Teenage Groot pollen =  aphrodisiac  hi-jinks. Quill & Gamora  warn the  couple (stucky)/throuple (Stuckony)  ahead of time, so no  dub-con.

StarkBucks Bingo - Round 3  (SBB_R3) - Ends 31 Dec

Eight fills (six posted to Ao3), 1 WIPs and several Vague Ideas - soliciting plot bunnies or other kick-starters.

* B1 - “I wouldn’t mind wasting my time on you.“  - Possible crossover with  BBB - KINK: Seduction Mission?  

* B3 - AU: Canon Divergence -  posted  Clearing the Air  on Monday as a crossover with  TSB Canon Divergent: Nobody Dies.  It’s a Bucky POV of a post-Endgame canon-divergent return to Wakanda where he has a chance to make amends with Tony.  It’s based on some discarded bits from “Ain’t No Party Like a ‘Saved the Universe’ Party” and came in at in at  790 words.

* I2 - Mistaken Identity - crossover with TSB K5 - Protectiveness -  “The Mechanic, The Soldier & The Artist” - mob/assassin AU with a Mr. & Mrs. Smith twist?  

* I4 - Canon: Avengers Academy  - will probably do Stuffed Marvels sketches of Tony and Winter, as I know very little about the game/canon.  

* I5 - Matchmaker Bots - possible crossover with TSB Occupational Hazard

* N2 - Blanket - Thanks to the July BBB Discord party , I have an idea for combining this with my TSB   AU: College square and BBB Funeral square.

* N5 - “Wanna make a bet?”  Used this in combination with the Day 18  Fictober (“I don’t think this is your problem.”)  and Flufftober  (Soulmate AU) prompts for  Marked-Up Soulmarks  - a soulmate AU where Tony discovers he and Steve have something (and someone) in common. I may expand on this before posting it to Ao3 and/or claiming it as an official fill.

* G3 - “This might as well happen.”   Posted  In Hindsight - a Stucky –> Stuckony meet-awkward fic inspired by a series of posts with @needyoucap over on the STB Enthusiasts Discord server. This  alternating POV  ficlet (which also fills my TSB square  Hindsight)  came in at 1660 words.

* O1 - Royalty - crossover with TSB - IronWidow  &  BBB   AU: Arranged Marriage -  pick Lady Natasha’s Consort and Lord Steve’s Companion  back up?

* O6 - AU: Biker  - Grease 2  fusion  anyone?  😁  I watched the movie a couple of weeks ago and took notes -  It’s not gonna be a faithful adaptation, but hopefully fun - tho am having a tough time deciding who is Michael (probably Bucky, tho a case could be made for Tony)

What must be included in the content of a filled prompt?

Stephen Strange (any version of him: film, TV, or comics) must be either the main or co-main character. Otherwise, anything goes!

What must be included in the tags of Tumblr and Twitter posts?

Please use the hashtag #strangehalloween2022 and the # of the prompt you're filling (i.e. #no4 and/or #pumpkin). On Tumblr, please include additional tags for NSFW and common triggers (see AO3 for examples). 

When can I post my prompt fill?

In the spirit of the theme, these should be posted in October! We'd prefer if you post prompts the day of or after the day has passed. For example, prompt 10 fills can be posted on or after Oct 10, and preferably not before.

What medium can I use?

Anything! Written prose, poetry, gifsets, mood boards, artwork, all is acceptable as a prompt fill. It's all about Stephen Strange in any form he comes in.

Can I combine Strange Tales of Halloween prompts into one submission (i.e. #1 bonfire and #4 pumpkin)?

Sure! If you post it on social media, you can use both prompt tags to help us identify it as such.

Event Info

WHUMPTOBER is a month-long, prompt-based creation challenge (think: Inktober, but whumpier). There are 31 Official themes this year - one for each day of the month - which can be used, skipped, or combined in any way you’d like. They are meant to serve as inspiration without being taken literally (e.g. you don't have to include the exact wording into your work). Additionally, there are 3 prompts for each theme.  These are optional suggestions and can be used in conjunction with the theme, or as options/alternatives.  We want to give everyone as much creative freedom as possible, as well as increase event accessibility for folks with triggers and squicks.

Creators can PRODUCE work in any media they choose, including but not limited to: writing, visual artwork, and photo/video/audio edits. Creators can PARTICIPATE as much or as little as they want (i.e. you don’t have to do ALL the prompts if you don’t want to) and prompts can be used in any order. They are also free to use even after the event ends.

When uploading Whumptober content to your blog, be sure to tag the with:

#no.1, #no.2, #no.3, …..(theme number)

#bruised, #stabbed,  …..(the theme or specific prompt you chose)

PLEASE BE DILIGENT WITH YOUR TAGGING. Only properly tagged posts are considered for archiving on the official @whumptober2020 blog. They must be tagged in the order above.

Unfortunately, due to the sheer number of participants in recent years, we cannot guarantee your work will be archived. A random selection of properly tagged posts from all genres will be reblogged each day.

Whumpers who produce content for 31 total theme days are considered event completionists and will be tagged in a masterpost at the end of the month.

Q. What kind of content can I make? Can it be NSFW?

This is a MIXED MEDIA event! You can write fic, post meta, doodle or paint, create a gif set or photo edit, link a song, or get crafty with video - anything goes. As for NSFW, make what you like, we just hope that you’ll tag your work accordingly so that others participating in the event can stay safe :)

Q. Do I have to do all 31 Days? Can I post early/late?

Participate as much or little as you like, and post whenever! Just be sure to tag your posts properly (ex. #no.11, #psych101). Combining prompts into one piece of work is okay, and posting late is as well so as long as it’s in October.

Q. What if I don’t understand a theme?

Send us an ask! We’re happy to help clarify. That said, the themes are entirely up for interpretation :)

Q. Can I combine Whumptober with other creation challenges?

Absolutely! That’s like shooting two whumpees with one bullet :)

Q. Can I upload/repost my whumptober content to other social media platforms?

Of course! We’ve created an AO3 Collection to archive any fics posted there. The archive can be accessed here. The blog is the official archive, so please respect the boundaries of any closeted whumpers in your social circle :)
