Happy one year anniversary ISAT! To celebrate I wanted to share the lil strips I made for my friends when they reached the end of the game! They're all meant to be snippets of life post game and a glimpse into the world I'm making for Loop.

Nothing will dispell the "the curtains were just blue" myth faster than writing something yourself, because the amount of pretentious symbolism i am putting in my silly little fanfics is ridiculous. I mean SO much with these words, literally every single one of them. This fic has twenty five typos and zero correct uses of punctuation but if there's curtains you bet your ass I put thought into what colour they were.

I think one of the best things I've learned since getting into fiber arts is that something can be absolutely not my taste and I can still be impressed and delighted for the person who made it and people who love it. Almost every time I look through patterns or projects, I have a thought like, "I hate that and it's magnificent" or, "I wouldn't wear that, but HOLY CRAP it's amazing that you made it."

We need more of that.

Due to an error, it was at one point briefly possible to earn free money with a Yoshi game.

On January 8, 2020, an error in the pricing system at Target caused download codes for Yoshi's Crafted World to be offered at a price of one dollar. In addition to getting the game, players were also able to claim 300 Gold Points, which could be redeemed for a 3-dollar discount on other purchases, essentially gaining 2 dollars worth of free money as a result of the transaction.

While thousands of users were able to get the game at this price, the error was noticed a few hours later and corrected, with any further codes being unable to be redeemed.

Dwarves of Erebor in a new world.

We are starting a new adventure with the game Craft the World, which is a combination of Terraria and Minecraft with the addition of a storyline, play some time ago on the computer quite liked, probably by the sentiment of the game Terraria, which I often played on different difficulty levels and modded versions. What more to tell, I invite you to the first episode of Craft the World version for android.

Now for something nice.

Christmas of 2023 my mother gave me a green fleece. 1kg of not very fine carded wool with very short staple length. But free fibre is free fibre, and I spent a good portion of 2024 spinning it.

And spinning it.

I plied the singles with ones spun from a combed top (also a robust blend from Germany that I dyed myself) for stability. Then I put it all in a basket and let it sit for a few months.

But now I think I know what I want to make from it and dug out the loom (it's too much to knit with and not fine enough for knitting anyway). But first, maths!

Turns out I have a meterage of about 300m/100g, 1.5kg in total, which is A Lot! And should hopefully be enough for a little garment. I'm gonna do a 3m warp this time and I should have enough to make 2 batches of fabric. I'm gonna do a twill again, but I'm using the 40/10 heddles, which are the second smallest. I don't want the fabric to be super dense.

The warp is warped!

And the threads are being threaded!

Next time, I will hopefully have some weaving to show off.
