Yasha falling in love with Beau in Kamordah is beautiful for so many reasons.  For Beau, going back home to her family was her lowest point, it made her feel weak and small, it made her regress, and in the end her father couldn’t even muster up a real apology.  Her abuser just kept trying to gaslight her into believing that they were both at fault.  Her Father, the parent, claimed that Beau the child was equally at fault for their falling out.  Despite everything she had done and been through, despite having people who truly love her by her side, Beau was at her lowest point.  

But for Yasha it wasn’t that Beau had fallen, it was that how dare these people who hurt her so make this larger than life woman who fights monsters with her bare hands and acts as a diplomat to kings and queens feel small.  Yasha has been aware of Beau’s qualities for a long time and has known that her good qualities have outweighed her bad by far.  I imagine that before Kamordah, Yasha imagined that Beau was made of Platinum, strong and unbreakable, but after Kamordah she saw Beau was made of Diamond, just as strong but so incredibly fragile under the right/wrong circumstances.  She saw Beau, flaws and all, and realized that she loved this woman and she would make sure that no one ever made Beau feel that way again

27) What’s your favorite “How do you want to do this?” moment?

i mean “how do you, vox machina, want to do this” is always gonna be up there

jester getting three consecutive hdywtdts in c2e82 was hilarious

god i’m sure there’s so many good moments i’m just blanking on rn

but really anything where it’s been a long and difficult fight, or against an enemy they’ve been chasing for a while, or final bosses, like those are good moments

(also not technically a hdywtdt, but shoutout to "matt forgot his line!”)

28) What’s the most satisfying CR enemy defeat/death?

i feel like it’s almost cheating to say vecna, bc final boss, but that episode sure was something! scanlan’s counterspell and both the victory and tragedy in it, keyleth banishing him, everyone flying over a broken tower, it was amazing

other than that, thordak and raishan were both huge. the entire showdown with avantika is one of my favourite c2 moments. and yeah, sorta like my answer to the last question, any time you feel like they’ve really earned it, either because it’s been a hugely difficult fight or because someone pulled off something really clever

31) What’s your favorite CR platonic/friendly relationship?

for campaign 2, definitely molly and yasha. god they were so good and i wish we’d gotten to see more of them. it still hurts so much reading the explanations on ashley’s yasha playlist and crying over oh my god they were soulmates, platonic edition. love the circus kids.

campaign 1, i’m on the fence as to whether or not the twins count? bc they’re the best but that’s a sibling relationship, it’s more family than friends? so i think i’d have to say percy and keyleth. they’re the two babies of the group, they’re both like 23, they’re super close despite being such opposites, i love all the parallels between them and the conversations they have, the one in episode 56 about legacy is one of my favourite moments

but also just all the ridiculous conversations they have and the way they have fun together and this one exchange in ep 85 for the “i really want coffee cake right now percyyy”, i love them

something that I love about when Beau tells Nott about her crush on Jester is that when Nott asks Beau why, Beau give a bunch of reasons.  But none of them are oh she’s hot, like Beau does think Jester’s gorgeous and beautiful and likes her head where it is, but that’s why she’s attracted to Jester, not why she has a real freaking crush on her.  She says it’s because Jester is fun, that she makes her laugh, her ridiculous plans, that she’s complicated and has layers.  

Beau is attracted to hot women, or strong women, or women in general, but she fell for jester because of who jester is at her core. I'm sure she thinks jesters hot and likes her muscles but it was jester who is silly and energetic and smiling that she fell for and I think that's beautiful

sometimes I remember that before I had any interest in watching campaign 1 (in fact, back when I was insistent that I wasn’t gonna watch it because campaign 2 was enough content for me) my friend who got me into cr showed me a bunch of random clips from different episodes. one of those clips was of scanlan’s fight with vm in ep 85. i don’t remember much (it was honestly hard for me to care much about the video without context) but I do remember that even before I knew who scanlan was or how much I would love him I heard what percy said to him during that fight and was like “damn that dude’s a dick”
