Work from Office (I know we still have to wear masks indoors but I'm imagining a scenario, hopefully in the near future, where we don't have to wear masks anymore) With covid restrictions significantly loosened in Singapore since last Tuesday, we're all trying to get used to crowds again. I spent some time at the mall this weekend and was absolutely overwhelmed by the huge crowd of shoppers that thronged the shops and lined up outside restaurants. One sushi restaurant put out a sign that read "waiting time - 120 minutes"! I don't work in an office but for those who are returning to work at the office, I wonder what it's like after working from home for two years. Are you enjoying it or dreading it? #workfromhome #workfromoffice #backtotheoffice #thenewnorm #covid19 #singapore #covidrestrictions #officelife #worklife #business #workmeeting #zoomcall #zoommeeting #unmuteyourself #cartoons #comics #mondayblues (at The Office) https://www.instagram.com/p/Cb6ynAkLhip/?utm_medium=tumblr

Posted @withregram • @globeandmail OPINION: The only thing more anxiety-making than learning to wear a mask in public is learning when to take one off. In 2019, in the West at least, masks still held their dodgy place in the culture, as symbols of deceit and criminal intent. Then, for the past two years, masks assumed a completely new role: They made you a good guy, not a villain. Someone who thought about the welfare of others, especially people who were more vulnerable. Someone who was willing to do the right thing, even if it meant you were a bit inconvenienced and had to stumble around grocery stores with foggy glasses. Now, countless masks later – disposable ones found crumpled in pockets, fabric ones wadded up in the bottom of the dryer – we’re at another turning point, a pivot in our collective behavior. This is going to be another time of uncertainty, and we know that humans are about as fond of uncertainty as cats are of taking baths. With politicians lifting mask mandates and public-health officials basically throwing up their hands, we’ll have to take charge of our decision-making around masks. Two years of COVID has aged me ten years, but I'm moving on
Two years of COVID has aged me ten years, but I’m moving on
When I launched BoomerBroadcast in 2013, I posted three times a week—Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. My life in the beginning and for the first few years was eventful and I had plenty of observations and opinions on a wide range of topics to share with readers. For the past two years, however, since the start of the pandemic, I’ve stopped eating out in restaurants, stopped going to movie theatres,…
