Remember when Cummings is testifying that he drove from one end of the country to the other when he and his family had symptoms of Covid, and that he and his family took a day out to Barnard Castle while the rest of us were in lockdown.
He might be trying to make himself out to be the only honest man in a government of fools and liars, but don't be fooled or mislead -- at the time he was ass bad as the rest of them, and this is just an attempt to rehabilitate himself.

Boris Johnson admits the government’s mistakes during Covid
Former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has apologised for the mistakes his government made in dealing with the coronavirus pandemic, The National News reports.
At the UK Covid-19 Inquiry in west London on Wednesday, Mr Johnson said he was “deeply sorry for the pain, loss and suffering” of those who lost loved ones.
However, his speech was interrupted by four people who were removed from the hearing room after holding up signs that read:
“The dead can’t hear your apologies.”
Mr Johnson said in his opening remarks:
“I do hope this inquiry will get the answers to the difficult questions.”

Why the COVID-19 Inquiry May Be a Waste of Time.
Introduction:
The COVID-19 pandemic has been a global crisis of unprecedented proportions, impacting countless lives and economies worldwide. In the wake of such a catastrophe, it is only natural that people seek answers and accountability. This has led to the establishment of various inquiries and investigations aimed at understanding what went wrong and preventing similar crises in the future. While the desire for transparency and accountability is essential, it's worth considering whether the ongoing COVID-19 inquiry might be a potential waste of time.
Hindsight Bias:
Hindsight bias is a cognitive phenomenon where people believe, after the fact, that the outcomes of a particular event were entirely predictable. With the benefit of hindsight, it is easy to criticize the decisions and actions of individuals and governments during the pandemic. However, at the time, decision-makers faced unprecedented challenges, incomplete information, and rapidly evolving circumstances. The COVID-19 inquiry may unfairly judge these decisions with the advantage of hindsight.
Distracting from Current Issues:
The ongoing COVID-19 inquiry can divert valuable resources, time, and attention away from addressing the immediate challenges and needs of the pandemic. The world is still grappling with the virus, with new variants emerging, vaccination campaigns underway, and healthcare systems stretched. Focusing on past actions instead of the present could hinder ongoing efforts to mitigate the virus's impact.
The Blame Game:
Inquiries often become platforms for finger-pointing and blame-shifting. While accountability is essential, the COVID-19 inquiry runs the risk of turning into a political battleground where different parties or nations attempt to deflect blame onto one another. This can hinder international cooperation, which is vital for effectively combating a global health crisis.
Complex and Multifaceted Causes:
The COVID-19 pandemic is the result of a complex interplay of factors, including scientific, political, economic, and cultural elements. It is challenging to distill these complex causes into a single, linear narrative. An inquiry may oversimplify these factors or struggle to uncover the full truth, leading to incomplete or biased conclusions.
Resource Allocation:
Conducting an inquiry is a resource-intensive process, requiring significant time, manpower, and financial resources. These resources could be better used for immediate pandemic response efforts, healthcare infrastructure improvements, or further scientific research into the virus and its variants.
Potential for Political Manipulation:
Inquiries are not immune to political influence. They can be used as tools by governments and political parties to further their agendas, whether by targeting opposition figures or diverting public attention from other issues. This can undermine the integrity of the investigation and its outcomes.
Conclusion:
While accountability and transparency are crucial aspects of governance, it's important to consider whether the ongoing COVID-19 inquiry might be a potentially fruitless endeavor. Rather than dwelling on the past, efforts may be better directed towards addressing the current challenges, fortifying healthcare systems, and promoting international cooperation in the ongoing fight against COVID-19. Ultimately, whether the inquiry proves to be a valuable exercise or a waste of time will depend on its execution and the practical outcomes it generates.

"6 out of 10 people who died from Covid between March and July 2020 were disabled"
As part of the UK covid inquiry, evidence has now been brought to light which shows that "Do Not Attempt Resuscitation" notices, were put on the files of patients with Down's Syndrome, Autism & other learning disabilities.
These people were healthy, before contracting Covid19.
The NHS watchdog we know as NICE, (the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence), issued guidance for trusts and hospitals advising them to apply a “clinical frailty scale” to decide whether patients should be admitted to intensive care.
Older and more frail patients were viewed as being less likely to survive even with critical care treatment.
The original NICE guidance also suggested that those who could not do everyday tasks like cooking, managing money and personal care independently, would be considered frail & not receive intensive care treatment.
This original guidance has since been removed....
Which leads us to the Do not attempt Resuscitation notices...
The DNAR notices were often placed on the files of the patients without their consent, or with limited understanding of its meaning.
Patients with learning disabilities were classed as 'clinically frail'
NHS England have of course denied this, yet the evidence shows they let them die, as to not overwhelm the NHS in the early days of a pandemic.
Yet many specialist nurses have come forward to say that they were constantly put in place for people with learning disabilities and often "inappropriately."
_____
I feel utterly sick. I remember at the start of the pandemic, talking about how disabled people will become a target, that we will be killed off, and people looked at me like I was purple.
4 years later we're here. In case you need to read it again, 6 in 10 people with covid that died during March to June 2020, were disabled. 6 in 10. I can't stop repeating that number.

New SGPRC Executive Director Jesse Weller Reports to the Board
youtube
New SGPRC Executive Director Jesse Weller's first director's report to the Board of Directors highlighted the governor's notice the Covid19 state of emergency that has been in place since 2020 will end February 28, and the need to be aware of potential procedural changes as a result of the transition out of pandemic mode.
Governor Newsom vetoed Senate Bill 870, preventing the age of onset disability diagnoses to increase from 18 to 22. As of right now, eligibility ends after age 18, and individuals will not qualify for DDS services if they are diagnosed at 19 or older. Weller said the issue may be revisited in the future.
Weller said the Hoover commission will be doing a lot of work on service access and disparities in the regional center. Assembly Bill 1663, legislation signed into law in September giving courts abilities to review conservatorships, as well as giving more disabled individuals more say over their support systems, is being utilized to review the state program and individual conservatorships.
"Super important," Weller said. "Lots of work about looking into alternatives for conservatorships and supported decision making. Lots of work there around oversight and review of anyone conserved in California, particularly in our system."
Carl Argila requested a meeting with Weller during the earlier public comments portion to discuss concerns regarding his son's conservatorship. BOD President Gisele Ragusa credited Weller for presenting figures on the number of individuals served and new referrals, a practice she said ceased in recent times.
A considerable portion of the meeting focused on the 2021 full implementation of the Self-Determination Program (SDP) which was introduced as law in 2013. Opportunity for pilot program enrollment was based on the number of lottery tickets awarded each regional center.
DDS originally awarded 102 of 2500 statewide spots to the SGPRC, but "a second round was done due to low initial enrollment. It got expanded beyond the 2500," said Rosa Chavez, associate director of family and transition services.
The regional center provides up to $2,500 for a Person Centered Plan associated with the SDP process. Chavez said a lot of training occurred behind the scenes to prepare prior to the program's official start in July, which included continuation of training during the pandemic.
"We've come a long ways," Chavez said. "We went from 39 enrolled families at the start of the year, to now going on going 93. We've more than doubled in less than a year. Which goes to show that centralization of the SDP program has really helped our regional center transition those facilities successfully."
Weller reported SGPRC received more than $93,000 for SDP in the 2022/2023 fiscal year. The program is now available to all those eligible under the Lanterman Act. Each regional center is required to have a Local Advisory Committee to oversee SDPs and report recommendations in public meetings.
"The SGPRC is [known] for being proactive in communicating and facilitating accessibility to new programs," said Yaned Busch, specialized services manager for special projects. "We began by mailing out letters to all individuals eligible under the Lanterman Act to let them know about the Self Determination Program and open enrollment."
Busch said more than 400 families have inquired about the SDP, and that as of right now there is one service coordinator for the 93 SDP cases. The regional center originally planned for a 40 to one ratio.
"We have to do some innovative thinking," Busch said about fixing the ratio.
In response to inquiry from Ragusa, Busch said the biggest challenge for SDP is families learning how to become SDP employers.
The meeting closed with the annual review of the whistleblower policy and procedure. The main purpose of the policy is to protect whistleblowers from retaliation, Ragusa said. No specific policy updates were pointed out, but Ragusa said recent revisions were made with assistance from the Enright and Associates law firm.
