yk what for season 4 being the covid season of 911 I feel like it doesn’t impact the storyline like other shows had with their covid seasons like yes covid is mentioned throughout the season and we see all the characters with their face masks while on calls or even when getting home and even when it comes to maddie giving birth and how maddie and chimney had to talk about their birth plan and how that might change with adjusting it accordingly to the guidelines of the hospital, but the season flows and still manages to be compelling all the way through and we still get those impactful episodes like the shooting arc and the buck begins episode and we get silly episodes like jinx, so I think 911 is one of the only shows I think that managed to not fall apart during their covid season and still keep the heart of what the show is about at the end

we’re gonna ignore the fact that i’m late because i had freshman orientation so here is my newest fic haven’t forgotten my way home, a bucktommy doctor/covid grief au

Buck doesn’t remember how it happened. He thinks that’s the worst part. He doesn’t remember before, he doesn’t remember during, and he knows looking back on this in the future he wouldn’t remember this in the after either.

There’s this terrible little funny moment when it comes to death. Everything is in the before, he’s in the before, untouched by death, untouched by the rotten sticky fingers of the grim reaper spreading grief everywhere he goes, and in seconds, it’s the after. He’s standing in the after and he has no idea how he got here.

Tommy is helping him change his scrubs, and Buck knows he’s too close, he’s way too close, and he feels like he can’t breathe. He can’t breathe because he can’t lose Tommy too. He can’t lose Tommy after his dad.

“Ev baby breathe,” Tommy murmurs, pressing tight against his chest, and Buck obediently sucks in a deep breath. The ache in his lungs doesn’t dissipate.

“Covid,” he manages to gasp out, but Tommy ignores him. Buck can’t take this anymore and he pushes Tommy away.

“It’s okay, Evan,” Tommy whispers, reaching out for him. Buck cowers away from him with a whimper. Tommy can’t get sick. He can’t. He can’t lose him too. “Look, I can still smell your body wash, and I can still taste that shitty coffee you got me an hour ago, we’re okay. I’m okay. Let me help you. Let me hold you, please, baby.”

So, I used my 9-1-1 timeline to make a timeline of Buck's life so far!

Please know that I may be a month or two out in some situations - I had to make some assumptions here and there and the 9-1-1 timeline is also just.. interesting at times (lmao). If you have any questions feel free to ask!

I just binged 911 in like 2 weeks and I’m on such a high I’m addicted I need my next fix with season 8 right now pretty pretty please

the truth is, nobody fucking knows if buddie is gonna happen or not. nobody is holding this big secret from us. nobody knows.

it’s a long running tv show. this season has been doing amazing and i have no doubts that as soon as season 8 starts we’ll get confirmation of s9. i’m not even worried about that and the writers are showrunners probably aren’t either.

when oliver and ryan say that if the storyline naturally goes that way they’d totally be up for it, they mean it. there’s no hint in that sentence or anything. when tim said they’re lying the tracks in front of the train or whatever the allegory was he wasn’t lying either. they’re just kinda making it up as they go. (did it make stuff a bit messy this season? for sure but still, in tim we trust)

i think most of you know this by now, so this is just a gently nudge and reminder.

please keep overanalysing scenes, make fan arts and edits for oliver and ryan to watch and most importantly keep writing fanfics for tim to take inspo from

just for the love of god, cut them some slack.

Just imagining Ryan finding out that Buck was getting a Bi storyline and being like "Oh finally, that's so awesome. So how are we getting rid of Marisol then?" only for Tim and Oliver to have to break it to him that Buck's Bi awakening/first kiss with a man isn't Eddie.
