Wriothesley x fem!reader fic
request domestic angst+comfort
Roommate
Pt.1
“Wonderful. Our kettle is broken”, Wriothesley spread out his hands in a mild disappointment. “This is all your doing, you constantly crushed it into the base. As if you don’t know how fragile it is.”
You find yourself incredibly angered by his bold statements. You and your roommate had quite the opposite personalities and would often end up in a heated bicker. You two also had incredibly different schedules which would lead to obviously clashing routines. He woul always do his paperwork at night when you’d try to get a sleep. However Wriothesley was not the worst choice among the other candidates so sometimes you would turn a blind eye on the misunderstandings between you two. But not today.
“What do you mean this is my doing? You left the kettle on.”
“Yeah? I simply did not unplug it. I’m not some paranoid type of idiot.”
“You left the kettle on and it’s broken now. I told you to always unplug it! I requested this of you every single time!”
The arrogance in Wriothesley’s tone is almost palpable, and he simply turned around facing away from you. The movements of his body were artlessly languid, and you could swear you sensed coffee from his hair as he faced away from you. Perhaps the scent was coming from the nape of his head—you thought. Otherwise, it was still intoxicating to you, and even being as irritated and maddened as you are now, you could not deny that you found his scent tolerable if not likeable. Any other candidate to being your roommate could have been a nasty and bad-mannered student or some sort of criminal, but this man definitely stood proud before them all.
“Listen—I really have no time for this. I have more important things to do.”
“More important things to do!”
“Yeah? I’m engrossed in my work, I’m making money, okay?” He was speaking to you as if you were a complete idiot. “See you can’t even come up with a response because you know I’m right.”
“Fine. Whatever. I have enough money to buy a new teapot. Don’t even bother giving me money.”
Wriothesley raised his hand and waved to you not even looking back a second.
“I take it you’re going to only drink takeaway tea from now on”, you said but he could be hardly bothered to listen to you.
When the two of you were at a respectable distance, his shoulders dropped and he let out an exhausted sigh. He occupied his desk and started working on his usual papers as the duke of Meropide’s ‘homework’.
It’s not that he was not rich, but he preferred saving money thus he rented this house with you. The house itself consisted of two floors (ground floor and first floor). It was not big, but very pleasant to be in. It was not exactly a countryside but not a city centre either. The area was quite tranquil and calm there, and your neighbours did little to disturb you, which was good both for your studies and Wriothesley’s work. But the kettle usage was sincerely a sensitive topic. You only had one in the whole house since Wriothesley did not see any sense in buying his own: you mostly drink water, gallons of it actually, using the boiled water only for noddles, while Wrio would always abuse the poor kettle with his 10 tea mugs a day. But that all did not matter now since the kettle was stupidly broken. It was a cheap one, and something in between its micro wires was faulty which would cause the kettle to turn itself on without the button being pressed on by someone. It was unfortunate, really, because Wriothesley did not bother to unplug the kettle and thought the action completely paranoid. You thought him as a person who doesn't give a single damn about others—well now it seems he doesn't give a damn even if this house ends up in flames.
“Thankfully it just got broken without any flames around”, you sighed exhaustedly, too.
Why wouldn't he listen to your little requests?
That day seemed to be designed for failures, as later in the evening the power of the whole street went down. That day the power was cut off and your room had grown exceedingly cold.
“This is getting ridiculous. How am I supposed to work like this?”
But unlike Wriothesley who had a fur coat, you were only wrapped into your fuzzy blanket which did, frankly speaking, a bare minimum to save you from the cold.
“How frustrating, I cannot work like this”, he massaged the bridge of his nose.
Meanwhile you were freezing until your patience finally exploded and you got up from the bed to get a robe for your nightwear. It might have been that Wriothesley heard you rummaging through the closet as he inquired with no visible interest:
“Cold, are you?”
“Yes.”
“You’re a little too sensitive to cold, don't you think? Sometimes I wonder if you were a feline in your previous life.”
“Ha-ha”, you utter with a sleepy and grumpy face before pulling the robe and slipping back to the bed. A while after the cold becomes unbearable for you and unacceptable for someone else.
Wriothesley comes from behind, noticing that you never stop shivering. He approached from behind, standing staight a few steps from your bed and cleared his throat to grab your attention.
“You don’t look very comfortable, you know? Looks like you’re still shivering.”
“Yeah?” You parody his manner of speech. “What do you suggest?”
You secretly knew what this was leading to but did not want to suspect it just yet.
“I can think of a few ways. But sharing the body’s heat would top them all.”
You were speechless for the first few seconds before you spat out a response both with horrified expression and loud voice:
“Are you serious?”
For Wriothesley it didn't seem to be a nasty idea at all. He shrugged, though his gaze ran around the room, trying to suppress the sudden embarrassment he did not once consider appearing. A grown man.
“It’s not like we didn't share the bed before, so I don't see why not-”
“Hello? We are in an argument”, you cut him off. “So there is a reason to avoid close contact now.”
He groaned, because you would put your emotions higher than the rational thought at the moment when you both damn needed the latter.
“What?! Don't be so stubborn. I’m cold too, you know.”
“Oh, are you? I thought you’re invincible.”
“Listen… I can go to my bed but this isn't gonna work, I’m sure you understand. You’re shivering—I am shivering, too. Now, please, move.”
You made a ‘tsk’ with your tongue upon hearing Wriothesley’s convincing proposal. Making a space for him, you share your fuzzy blanket witht he man who smells like tobacco and coffee, though at this time there is a thin layer of sweat added to it, as a natural result of the day coming to an end and his… well, hard work.
“I thought you weren’t going to sleep tonight. You were engaged with your extra hours.”
“Yeah, overtime duties, but at home. Annoying shit”, for the next moment his voice takes a softer tone, indicating his tiredness. “Changed my mind.”
Wriothesley subtly pulls the blanket so that it covers the both of your bodies, and you can feel a slight shift in his body as if he were trying to press flush to you. The beating of his heart was noticed, and to the rhythm of it you found yourself falling asleep with unexpected ease. Wriothesley’s arrogant exterior melted away too as he wrapped his arms around your waist but never going bolder and lower.
Maybe the next morning you two could discuss the kettle issue again and come to a diplomatic decision without unnecessary hostility?

ch. 7 - three mugs for one m.list
"it is dishwasher safe, however, for the best results, handwashing is the way to go," you wrap up two bowls, similar designs that compliment each other.
you made them in the hopes of giving it to two loved ones. normally, you wouldn't use your creativity for such a thing, liking the abnormality of new designs. however, something's been inspiring you lately. you've found yourself seeing love in everything, or everyone, around you. your friends have all started to fall in love, some quicker than others, and it sends a flurry in your chest.
the couple in front of you takes them in a tote bag, arms wrapped around each other as they leave the shop. you lean against your counter, resting your chin in your hand. your gaze travels to a set you finished recently. it's a set of two, one with an onigiri on it, the other harboring a design of tempura. staring at it, you imagine what your lunch will be like.
that he'll bring the most delicious dish, your hands will wrap around his, guiding him through the motions. and you'll be in love, unapologetically in love. smiling to yourself, you look at the cash register, feeling a little more secure. more and more people have been coming to the store, like a switch has been flipped.
you suppose the onigiri miya shop finally getting to a steady ground could be the reason. parking has let up and people have been stopping in, couples young and old coming for dates. you've even considered couples classes, especially after you invited osamu over for his own private session.
letting your mind wander about all things beautiful and special, you bite your lip. your wandering doesn't last long as the door opens once more, your mouth moving quicker than your eyes, "hello! welcome to the earthen kiln, can i help you sign up for a class or purchase some pottery?"
you look up to the front door and see someone standing there, his face familiar, but his hair is a yellowish blonde. the way he stands even resembles that of his brother, the same miya appearance. "well, i would definitely like to 'purchase some pottery', and to apologize," he walks up to the counter, holding out his hand.
shaking his, you purse your lips, "so you must be osamu's brother? the one that conveniently bought every spot, with osamu's money, and then had to back out?"
"when you put it that way, it sounds bad, but truly i did not know our friend was going to call me to the countryside. apparently some incident happened with some animals," he shrugs, walking over to your shelves of pottery, shoving his hands into his pockets, just like osamu does, "and if he didn't say, the name is atsumu, and i’m very sorry.”
you nod, rolling your eyes while he isn't looking, clocking him as a really odd person. clenching your jaw, you walk over towards him, crossing your arms in front of your chest. he looks at all the dishes, noticing the sets that you've left out, the specialty pieces. especially viewing the onigiri one that sits in the sunlight.
"you're very skilled, no wonder he talks about you with such high regard," he turns to look at you, raising his eyebrows before grabbing the mug, feeling the slight texture that it carries.
you smile to yourself, trying to figure out if he's messing with you. of course you can see how caring osamu is, you can remember him almost kissing you over dinner. but the way atsumu acts sends a ring of suspicion swirling through your brain, your fingers tapping against your biceps. "thank you, is there anything catching your eye?" you move one of the mugs that he tilted, facing it forward once more.
he bites his lip, setting down the onigiri mug and grabbing one that has a netting design, "this one, reminds me of our volleyball court.."
"well, let me ring it up, unless of course, you'd like another one," you take the mug from his hand, walking it over to the counter to wrap it up for him.
atsumu stands there for a moment as he looks at the plates, bowls, cups. you watch as his eyes graze over the mugs once more, heart beating quickly. a part of you wants to just keep it, for yourself. because something you made with such love is going to a person you don't know. you don't know what he'll do with it, but you know you'll cherish it.
grabbing them, he brings the two mugs over to the counter, setting them down onto the wood. you take in a deep sigh and run your tongue along your teeth. looking back at him, you grab the two from the counter, taking some thick paper to wrap them up in. "so, just those three then?" you ask, setting them into a paper bag with 'earthen kiln' stamped into the front.
"yeah, i think all three will be fine. hopefully 'samu can make something equally nice at your private lesson," he jokes, fishing out his wallet to give you the amount needed for all three.
you figure out the cost of all three, waiting for him to hand over a credit card or some yen, "with how talented osamu seems to be, i think he'll do just fine. plus we're going to be doing a bowl which won't be too hard for anyone starting out."
atsumu nods, handing off his credit card to you, a smile on his face, "right... well, don't break his heart, will ya? he is my brother after all, and i would hate for his cooking to turn sour if he's mopin'."
handing it back to him, you look into his eyes, noticing the same compassion that his brother has. his is slightly veiled behind a layer of humor, but in there, you can tell they're one in the same. "trust me, i don't think i could ever break his heart, and i certainly wouldn't dream of it," you shake your head, smiling.

Professor Aesop Sharp x reader
Description: Y/n is the designated Hosgmeade delivery girl. Desperate to stay in the area after graduating from Hogwarts, she traveled the countryside to make things easier for the shop owners. She has harbored a crush on Aesop Sharp for years, but has never been able to tell him. Not on purpose anyway.
Notes: This will be the last part. Part 1
Part 2
(h/c) = hair color
“He is all I can think about, Sirona,” Y/n says, sighing into her butterbeer.
Sirona couldn’t help but let out a little giggle. She has never seen her best friend so lovesick. “Is it worse than when you had that crush on Diggory?”
Y/n frowned at her friend. “That was in second year!”
“Maybe so, but you were convinced you would marry him someday.” Sirona smiled, having a good time poking fun at her friend.
“This is serious, Sirona.” Y/n groaned.
“Okay, so tell him. You guys had a good time when you were in here before. He seemed to enjoy your company. I caught him staring a few times.” She said with a wink.
Y/n felt her face warm up. “Did she really?” She wondered, unsure whether her friend was saying things to make her feel better. “What would mum and dad think?”
“I don’t know.” Sirona said as she poured butterbeers for other patrons. “-But you need to do what makes you happy. Trust me on that.” She finished before walking away.
Y/n sighed into her mug again. Staring at the swirling drink before her. “What should I do? What if he rejects me? At least this way, we can be friends.” She grimaced. Considering him a friend sounded wrong. She was in far too deep for that.
After far too many butterbeers Y/n started to wander home, stumbling ever so often. “Were there always so many bumps in the road?” she wondered as she found herself at her front door. She wandered into her house quietly so as not to wake her parents. She found herself at her desk. She wanted to tell him how she felt but didn’t know what to say. So she started to write.
Aesop,
I can’t pretend anymore
I care for you deeply
I know you don’t feel the same
It hurts when I am not with you
Yours,
Y/n L/n
She continued to write and cross out each line. Drunkenly signing it at the end. She sighed heavily as she folded it up so her parents couldn’t read it and left it on the desk to head to bed.
-
“Wake up, Y/n!” Her dad called from downstairs.
She stumbled down the stairs to the smell of fresh pastries. “Do we have any headache tonic?” Y/n groaned.
“Another late night with Sirona?” Her father smiled. “I am glad you have such a good friend.”
“Me too, dad, but seriously do we have a tonic?” She groaned.
“I think that’s one of the things your mum was going to get after stopping at the post office. Apparently you had a letter to mail?” Her dad continued as he fussed with the fruit salad.
“Oh Merlin!” Y/n panicked as she ran to the other room.
“Where on earth are you going?” Her dad called.
“It’s gone!” Y/n nearly yelled.
“What is gone?” Her dad followed her into the study, concerned.
“The letter. It wasn’t ready to be mailed.” She fumbled over her words as she ran out the door in her pajamas and bare feet, chasing her way to the post office. They did not live in Hogsmeade but in one of the small villages about 30 minutes away. That didn’t stop Y/n from running full speed the entire way there, her headache long forgotten.
“Mum!” She yelled as she saw her mother exiting the post office.
“Y/n? What are you doing here looking like that?” Her mum replied, eyes wide.
“Tell me you didn’t send that letter on my desk. Please.” Y/n begged.
“Oh, I am sorry dear. I thought it was ready to go since it was all folded and addressed already.” Her mother responded sympathetic and confused.
Y/n stood in silence, her (h/c) hair falling into her face as the wind blew.
“Surely it’s not that bad?” her mother questioned. “It was only to Professor Sharp after all-”
“It’s bad, mum. Really bad. I have to stop him from reading it.” She said, cutting her mother off. “I have to stop him from reading it.”
“Well, you can’t go to the castle looking like that, Y/n. Let’s go home and take a deep breath.” Her mother said, noticing how her daughter was shaking.
-
After a much-needed outfit change, Y/n hurried back out her door, hoping that Aesop hadn’t had a chance to read his mail yet. Her mother yelled something as she ran down the street, but Y/n was too focused to hear anything. “He will think me insane.” She thought to herself as she broke out in a run again.
By the time she reached Hogwarts, she was out of breath. She could feel the sweat causing her clothes to stick to her skin. “Hello, Miss L/n!” Professor Ronen yelled from across the lawn. Y/n didn’t have much in her other than to give him a lazy wave and smile.
Finally making her way to the potions classroom, she slowed to a stop as she peeked in the door. “He’s in the middle of class. Hopefully that means he didn’t read it yet.” She thought to herself as she slipped in the door.
“Y/n! I am surprised to see you here.” Aesop greeted, pink covering his cheeks.
Y/n looked down from his eyes to see what he was reading. “Oh, Merlin... It’s my letter.” She said, not realizing it was out loud.
“Yes... maybe we should talk about this in my office.” He said, pushing himself up off his desk.
At the realization, Y/n was white as a ghost. “We don’t need to talk about anything. Forget you read it, please.” Y/n rambled on, panicking.
“Please? Just come to my office.” He whispers, trying and failing not to catch the students’ attention.
She followed him reluctantly. Ready to be turned down by the man she has grown to love.
“Y/n.” Aesop said as he shut the door quietly. “I need you to know -”
“Please forget you read it. I had too many butterbeers, and it was not supposed to be sent. I am so sorry you found out this way.” She begged, cutting him off.
“Are you really so oblivious?” He whispered, raising his hand to her face.
“Wha- What?” Y/n stuttered out, eyes wide.
“I feel the same way, Y/n.” He said as he brushed her cheek with her thumb.
She was crying, “When did I start crying?” She wondered as she stared into his eyes, looking for any signs he was lying. There was none.
In a sudden burst of bravery, Y/n bridged the gap between them, gripping his jacket as she kissed him passionately.
Little did they know that right outside the office door, students were listening in hoping this would make their professor a little less strict.

It is imperative to me that the breed’s correct gait be represented completely, and that the dog is drawn to match its breed standard. Don’t see your breed yet? Keep an eye out for the future additions to my AKC All-Breed Series! About the Breed The origins of this ancient breed have been the subject of conjecture for centuries. Even the breed name is a shrouded in mystery. Some experts say it derives from the Gaelic word beag (“little”), while others point to the French term for the sound hounds make while hunting: be’geule. There are reports of small pack-hounds employed to hunt rabbit and hare in England long before the Roman legions arrived in 55 B.C. An English authority called the Beagle the “foothound of our country, indigenous to the soil.” By the 1500s, most English gentlemen had packs of large hounds that tracked deer, and smaller hounds that tracked hares. The smaller, more compact hounds were ancestors of our modern Beagle. The phrase “foot hound” is vital to understanding the Beagle’s broad appeal for hunters in England, the Continent, and North America. Unlike larger pack hunters like foxhounds or Harriers, the Beagle could be hunted on foot—no horse was necessary. Those who couldn’t afford to feed and stable a mount, and ladies and gentlemen too old spend a hard day thundering across the countryside on horseback, could easily keep up with a pack of Beagles on foot. Beagles imports began arriving in America in the years after the Civil War, and their popularity among U.S. rabbit hunters was immediate. The AKC registered its first Beagle, named Blunder, in 1885. To this day, “beaglers” in woodsy areas of North America still swear by their breed’s great nose, musical voice, and enthusiastic approach to rabbit hunting. Breed standard: Size: Beagles come in two sizes: the 13-inch Beagle (no taller than 13 inches at the withers) and the 15-inch Beagle (between 13 and 15 inches at the withers). Head: A Beagle's skull should be fairly long, with a slight dome at the back part of the head. The skull should be relatively broad and full. There should be a distinct separation between the top and bottom of the face when seen from a profile. The ears should reach almost to the end of the nose if drawn out straight, and they should be rounded at the tips. The eyes (hazel or brown) should be large, set far apart, and have a gentle, pleading expression. The muzzle should have a square shape. Body: There should be no wrinkles in the skin around the neck and throat. The shoulders should slope downward into a relatively short back. The dog's chest should be deep and broad but proportionate to the rest of the body. Legs: The Beagle's front legs should be straight, not crooked. The hips and thighs should be strong and muscular. Tail: The tail needs to be fairly high on the rump and carried in a jaunty fashion, but it should not curve over the back. Coat: The coat should be of a medium-length and lie close to the body. The coat should feel hard to the touch. No silky fur here. Color: The standard is vague here, saying only that any recognized hound color is OK. The most common color is the tri-color (black, white, and tan), but it can also be red and white, chocolate tri-color (solid chocolate brown instead of black), and shaded tri-color (varied shades of brown instead of black). So, too, is ticking.Contact Email: IvyFoxIllustration@ gmail(dot)com ———— Tags and other miscellaneous info: ———— Ivy Fox Illustration Ivy Fox dog art Museum of the Dog American Kennel Club Showsight - Where Champions Are Celebrated American Dog Fancier InfoDog Best In Show The Canine Chronicle AKC Gazette best pet portrait artist watercolor fine art unique art Akc meet the breeds Westminster kennel club dog show national dog show crufts grooming intergroom superzoo petquest groom expo dog sports well bred dogs purebred preservation breeders ethical breeders breeder of merit akc grand champion Ch – Champion of Record – earned by gaining 15 points in conformation wins. What are some suggestions for restaurant interior for cafes and coffee shops?
Title: Elevating Your Café or Coffee Shop: A Guide to Restaurant Interior Design
Introduction
In the world of cafés and coffee shops, it's not just about the quality of your brew or the taste of your pastries anymore. Today, the interior design of your establishment plays a pivotal role in attracting and retaining customers. A well-thought-out restaurant interior can create a welcoming atmosphere, enhance the customer experience, and ultimately boost your business. In this blog, we'll explore the key aspects of restaurant interior design for cafes and coffee shops, helping you create a space that leaves a lasting impression on your patrons.
Define Your Concept and Theme
Every successful restaurant interior starts with a clear concept and theme. What story do you want your café or coffee shop to tell? Is it a cozy corner for book lovers, a trendy urban hangout, or a rustic countryside retreat? Your theme should align with your brand identity and the preferences of your target audience. Once you've defined your concept, make sure all design elements, from furniture to color schemes, revolve around it.
Choose the Right Colors
Colors have a profound impact on mood and perception. In the world of cafés and coffee shops, warm and earthy tones like browns, oranges, and muted reds are popular choices, as they create a cozy and inviting ambiance. However, you can also experiment with color combinations that resonate with your theme. Don't forget to consider the psychological effects of colors, ensuring they evoke the desired emotions in your customers.
Lighting Matters
The lighting in your café or coffee shop can make or break the overall ambiance. Natural light is highly sought after, as it makes spaces feel airy and inviting. If your location allows it, maximize windows and consider skylights. For evening hours, invest in layered lighting – a combination of ambient, task, and accent lighting. Pendant lights, chandeliers, and table lamps can add a touch of charm and personality to your space.
Comfortable Seating
The comfort of your seating is a critical factor in ensuring customers spend more time in your café. Choose chairs and sofas that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also ergonomically sound. Mix and match different seating arrangements to cater to various customer preferences. Cozy nooks for solitude, communal tables for group gatherings, and window seats for people-watching can all enhance the customer experience.
Thoughtful Layout
Efficient space utilization is essential in restaurant interior design. Plan your layout in a way that ensures smooth traffic flow, minimizes clutter, and maximizes usable space. Create zones for different activities, such as ordering, dining, and socializing. Adequate spacing between tables and an open kitchen concept can further elevate the dining experience.
Art and Decor
Art and decor are your canvas for expressing your café's personality. Consider local artwork, photography, or even a gallery wall to add character and local flavor. Additionally, carefully chosen decor items like plants, vintage signs, or quirky knick-knacks can create an Instagram-worthy atmosphere that encourages customers to share their experiences on social media.
Pay Attention to Details
The devil is in the details, as they say. Pay attention to the small things that can make a big difference. Quality tableware, stylish cutlery, and branded merchandise like mugs and tote bags can reinforce your café's identity. Moreover, think about music playlists, the aroma in the air, and even the texture of your menu—all of these sensory elements contribute to the overall ambiance.
Flexibility and Adaptability
Finally, keep in mind that trends change, and customer preferences evolve. Your restaurant interior should have an element of flexibility and adaptability. Consider easily interchangeable decor elements and furniture that can be rearranged or replaced as needed to keep your space fresh and appealing.
Conclusion
Creating an inviting and memorable restaurant interior for your café or coffee shop is a journey that can significantly impact your business's success. By defining your concept, choosing the right colors, paying attention to lighting, seating, layout, and details, and staying flexible, you can create a space that not only attracts customers but keeps them coming back for more. Remember, the interior of your restaurant is more than just aesthetics; it's a reflection of your brand, values, and commitment to providing an exceptional customer experience. One can achieve this by getting in touch with renowned design and build firms such as Flipspaces, which can help you with the same.
