The handwringing over the water usage in AI art is quite funny to me, as an obvious example of 'choosing your thesis then looking around for anything that will vaguely support it.' Because nobody has ever indicated concern over the literal litres of clean water I'm wasting per mediocre watercolour painting. It's a water-based medium. Not to mention the water lost during the manufacture of the paper and paints.
