Not cosplay (::tucks pipe away::), just fishing around in my wardrobe to make a little outfit for a thing in a few weeks. Trying some modern vests with new vintage shirt, tie, & suit.
Vest style makes a big difference here. I normally like vests with collars, but it's too much for the heavy collar of the jacket (which needs pressing), and hides the spearpoint collar of the shirt, which is an important vintage detail.
The lighter vest opens things up a bit. This is a reversible garment, hence why the buttons are on the "wrong" side. Still working on a tie collection.
Btw, if you like wearing vests, I highly recommend high-waisted trousers, because then you'll never again get that annoying triangle of dress shirt or tie poking through right above your fly.
Bonus photo for fans of admiring things in the background of my bathrooms.

rachel lindt cosplay!!! WIP images and more info under cut
i used blender to model a rough dog head shape. it's super low poly because i used the export paper model addon (comes with blender, u may need to enable it in settings) the addon makes a PDF that can be printed and taped together. i found it works best with lowpoly and all triangle objects.
i printed several mockups on printer paper to get the size and fit right, then printed it on cardstock. forgot to take a photo before i started paper mache-ing it sadly. i can share the .blend and .pdf files for the mask if anyone wants them, although they aren't very polished.
i used paper mache (newspaper and elmer's art paste) to add definition to the cheeks, lips, nose and eyebrows of the mask, and to make it more durable. i'm especially pleased with the shape of the nose, and the wrinkles on the nose and around the mouth. rolling newspaper into a tube and holding it down with a single layer of gluey newspaper worked well for finer details. i wish i made the eyeholes a little larger since this mask isn't too easy to see out of. but the mouth hole incidentally makes it easier to breathe and talk wearing the mask.
i painted the mask with acrylic paint and added teeth, made of newspaper rolled into cones, wrapped with masking tape, covered in paper mache and painted. i formed the horns in a similar way. painting the mask wasn't too hard, it's all solid colors except for the muzzle and horns.
this is supposed to be the mask that taylor made for rachel. (it turned out slightly lumpy which i think kinda works to my advantage since it's a homemade mask in-universe :P) i misremembered and thought it was a hybrid between a normal dog and a transformed dog, not a normal dog and a human. i like my idea better tbh. (also why would taylor make it from chicken wire that sounds so poky and unpleasant to work with)
the outfit is clothing i already owned or bought from goodwill. i added a fur collar to a jacket i had. i traced the collar onto newspaper to make a pattern, cut it out of fake fur, and jankily hemmed it and sewed it in by hand. i don't enjoy working with fake fur, cutting it is so hard. i have a lot of respect for fursuit makers.

Hard to Find was a teen dream come true for me though not in the usual way.
Though I very much enjoyed this I'm not sure if I can wholeheartedly recommend it. It's not going to be for some people. But for the ones who get it it will be perfect. For me this was the cdrama of my teen goth dreams (if I'd known what cdramas were way back then). And it did everything I needed it to do in that regard. But objectively I had issues with big chunks of the story, with great setups that were never used, and pieces that never quite came together in the end.
Right upfront I'll say story-wise and casting-wise this was really uneven. I don't think the female lead was quite on par with the male lead. He really carries most of this on the strength of his impeccable jawline. And I've seen him do scorching love scenes in other shows, but the female lead here can't quite meet the heat he brings. And initially I was a little concerned about every other cast member looking like they were 14 years old. But the core cast ended up doing a good job with what they were given and some of the characters turned out to be truly quite excellent.
The villain could have been stronger in the beginning (though his over the top scenery chewing really worked in the end). The romance was really quite sweet and decently done. There was a run of misunderstandings as the basis for plot conflict which isn't my fave but ultimately I think it was handled well here. And a love triangle that I actually truly enjoyed how it ended up being handled.
I generally prefer cohesive plots and well developed characters with true arcs in my stories. I'm not much for just vibes being enough, but in this case, the vibes alone are worth it. I was a goth teen way back in youth and if this had existed then I would have been insufferable about it. People would have shunned me because I wouldn't have talked about anything else. I'd have gone to dance clubs in Helian Xi cosplay, swanning around in goth robes and playing at brooding in the snow. The first part of this really has the vibes of The Crow (1994). Zhao Yiqin is absolutely perfect as the gloomy goth prince, Helian Xi. He broods like a champ and his jawline is sharp enough to cut through any plot issues. The first part of this really has the vibes of The Crow mostly because Helian Xi really being his best ancient Chinese Eric Draven. A lot of gloomy fairy prince vibes here too. And the choices for the sets make this atmospheric in a very fairy tale way.
As I said, this is not without flaws and not as good as other stuff I've seen from this team. But it's so beautifully shot, it's worth watching for the visuals alone. It is decently acted despite all the teens. The sound track is excellent. The costumes are just gorgeous. Though I do not love the hairstyling on the female lead. It's truly distracting in an otherwise dazzling show. And the eps are all like 18 minutes long, so it's nearly impossible not to just race through it, entranced by how beautiful it is. It goes so fast you might not even notice the shaky story issues. Alas the ending does go in for choosing to further the plot at the expense of being true to the characters they developed, which is too bad, but it does not ruin the overall dreamy brooding goth mood of the show. So yeah, I recommend it only if you want the full on melodramatic teen goth feeling of overwhelming love in a fantasy kingdom of brooding princes and can look past the plot hitches. Really it's so visually stunning I would watch it again just for that.

Maomao's skirt
Since I have decided to torture myself and do a cosplay in just over a month, I figured I would start with the easier part - the skirt.
In my intro post, I mentioned that her skirt isn't Ming accurate being vaguely mamian-like but not really. For this I played with two main ideas, using one of my other skirt patterns that has pleats and would be mamian-like or go for the circle skirt.
The fabric I selected was around 2 1/3 yards - less than I'd like but it was the entire remaining bolt and the color was perfect - don't trust my indoor lighting here. With the limited amount of fabric I had to do a little tetris to decide what pattern pieces to use. I washed and dried the fabric before ironing it.
My first and preferred pattern was this one:
Simplicity #2710 - 1949
I have already made this skirt, it has thick pleats and falls nicely. I figured it might be a good selection and I'd get that extra Ming style with lazy pleating.
Circle skirt
Less complicated since all I had to do was determine my waist, put it as the circumference and make a 1/4 circle pattern with my pre-marked cutting board. The bolt was 46" from selvage to selvage meaning if I kept one strip I had more than enough for a waistband. I am currently assuming a 4" wide waistband and went with 42" for the skirt length.
Unfortunately for my original plan, the vintage Simplicity pattern was too wide with the pleating. I'd need 3 1/2 yards of fabric and my current pattern pieces were set for a length of around 36" as well to the hem.
Circle it is!
Made my pattern pieces, two so that I could see how to fit them. The fabric has a decent thickness and I didn't want to fold it over and cut, opting to instead chalk out each piece individually on the fabric.
And yes, that is wrapping paper as usual with the square grids on the backside. I love this type of wrapping paper so handy! I cut out my fabric and took it to the sewing machine.
Next, I went ahead and did a zigzag stitch along all the edges except for the selvage. This fabric was showing how it would fray immediately. I washed it in the machine and this is what the edges looked like after drying.
Somehow, I messed up on the waist portion of the skirt panels and I had to take them down by 2". Not sure how I messed that up since I had the radius calculated. I tested this by holding them up to my body and realizing it was off.
Recall, that I have a very limited amount of this fabric, fearing something odd, I went ahead and sewed the front pieces together selvage to selvage and then the back ones. When I held them up to my waist they were still slightly off. I put in the right side seam and made sure all my seams were pressed. Something about my top of the panel pattern is off by a smidge and I need to put in about 3" of a spacer. I decided to put it down for the day and I'll figure out how to put that piece in, since the hips are okay?
It will also allow for me to decide if I want to be lazy and put in a side zipper. I'll go back and put a pocket in the right seam for sure. The next day - I went ahead and made a triangle to wedge into the gap area before putting in the zipper. I held the skirt up to my waist and measured it with my measuring tape. I zigzag stitched it and put it in the spot.
I also pressed the seam well. Then I decided to put in an invisible zipper in the spot for a side zip. I had to unpick the seam a bit to fit the zipper in further and get it up around my hips. Whoops.
Due to adding in the wedge the zipper is at a bit of an angle as shown here. I estimated the zipper coming up higher on the waistband so, I but in a hook and eye on the top to pull it together.
It turned out fine, I'm so limited by the fabric I have to work with. I still have enough to put in pockets on the right side. However, with the skirt cranked out in less than 24 hours, I have it now hanging to even out the hem. It hangs the right way so I'll take it.
Always remember to let your garment hang before hemming. I'm likely going to put some bias tape on the bottom, since this fabric is very prone to fray and then fold that up as opposed to a double folded hem. It is in place and will hang out in the closet for a day or two!
That's all for now! I'll start working on the aoqun this week as a modified pattern from my previous ones.

Foam headwing ear cuff tutorial
i made a couple pairs of headwings for mcyt cosplays and thought I should share a tutorial on how to make then since it's really easy
You can wear these with glasses!!
I'm making Watcher wings for this one but you can use this to pretty easily make wings with just one per ear
What you need:
A couple of sheets of thin craft store foam in the colors you want
Jewelers wire or floral wire (I used floral wire)
Scissors
wire tools(optional)
A few sheets of thin white paper
Hot glue
Pencil
I think I cropped out all of the scisors/wire cutters but a tw for those still
Edit: also a tw for possible trypophobia, the last image has googly eyes and that might be uncomfortable
start out by doodling the design you want and getting the wing shape right
Since my design was pretty complicated I loaded it into procreate(coloring in like i did is optional) on my tablet so I could trade onto a bigger paper
Trace onto a sheet of paper. This is when you can start sizing it up correctly to fit your head. (I'm watching SPN btw)
Cut them out and reshape as needed
Now, very important, draw on the down feathers area. This is what's going to have the wire under it. You can also do three layers like I did with the Grian (red, yellow and blue) wings. I did two for this one because it needed to be lighter due to the three wings.
Lay our your template(s) onto a sheet of foam. I found that taking a mechanical pencil and dragging it across the foam. It creates a really nice groove for you to cut along.
Cut out the top area. I used a slightly darker shade of purple.
This is where you want to cut the feather shapes into the upper area if you want to. Just little angled triangles.
Bend a wire along the top area. Take the bent wire and put it on the lower foam peice. Hot glue at the base of the wing where the wire sticks out. BEFORE IT DRIES STICK THE TOP PART ON TOP. You then go through and hot glue the rest of the wire and top section down after adjusting wire as needed.
If you're doing multiple wings like me then glue them together here and make sure you like the angles. You can also bend your wings using the wire for further adjustment.
Cut the wire that's sticking out
Hot glue another peice of wire on, only attaching it on a small section. Put this behind your ear and bend it around. The sections coming around your ear should almost touch after cutting off excess.
Put a bead of hot glue on the end of the wire. WAIT AT LEAST 30 SECONDS and then lightly squish it in to form a ball. This is just so the wire doesn't stab you. You should do this on both ends.
Here are all of the ones I've made so far
I also gave into my intrusive thoughts and added googly eyes to the Watcher ones a few days later
And yes those are Torchy earrings
WE'RE ALL DONE!!! Send me asks or reply to this if you have any questions and I can also send more pictures if needed. I hope this gets spread around a bit since this is exactly the sort of tutorial I looked for when trying to make these and I think others will find this useful. This can be used for any fandom, cosplay or costume. You don't need to credit me but feel free to share that I was the inspiration
Ty for following along! <3

I also don't want Celeborn (I hate love triangles and ship wars) in the show, or until the very last season at least. Although if they decide to introduce Celebrian into the show (who hasn't been born yet), then they will have to introduce Galadriel's husband, just for that. Unless they decide to make someone else the father of Celebrian, if you know what I mean lmao. I actually find it funny that Annatar is a cosplay for Сeleborn in the movies.
I KNOW RIGHT? THIS IS SO FUNNY TO ME LMAOOOOOOO. Like what was the the need? 😂😂😂😂😂
As for Celebrian's possible father... man, honestly? I wish lol 😂 and i mean, if they were bold enough to make Elrond kiss Galadriel, who knows what they might do next 😂 (i don't think it will happen tho, it's more like wishful thinking)
But it would be SO EPIC
And i wouldn't be surprised if it comes out there was a SPECIFIC reason of why Sauron chose THAT specific form of Annatar 😂

fucked up my hand in the middle of sewing so i won't be able to make progress in a while :') but while i'm here i might as well show what i got done so far. made everything but the tie :3
long ramblings about the process so far below
started working on all this for a bit over month. been alternating between maya and jun's outfits but ultimately switched focus to maya because her stuff was more complex.
this post is mostly about maya but here's the only interesting part of jun's stuff rn
i don't like the stitching on the roman numeral either but who will look. my eyes are Up Here. might paint over the thread so it doesn't stick out as much but who knows. also kind of off topic, it threw me off so bad that jun is a third year but in official art he's always shown with the two on his collar?? had to do some digging to make sure i wasn't crazy for thinking he was a senior.
the rest of his jacket is currently like a very basic looking cardigan with raw edges everywhere, nothing worth showing off rn. i think i'll continue working on it now that i can only work one-handed for the time being since the machine does most of the heavy lifting. as for the pants, i thrifted a pair several months ago. it's actually the reason i wanted to cosplay him lol, the pants were just the perfect color.
side note, my machine is Mischievous and simply refuses to sew down several layers at a time, or even just my beige fabric for some reason. so everything beige is sewn entirely by hand. maybe that's why i got carpal tunnel lol
here's what the sleeves look like on both sides and also on the inside
tbh i never realized it until i looked at her design more closely but she has like these little squares on half of her sleeves, so i tried to recreate that. it's basically just two rectangles sewn together but one of the rectangles is made up of other, smaller rectangles. nothing crazy. however, sewing the trim and elastic to it suckedddd. generally to sew elastic or stretchy fabric, you have to use a zigzag stitch (which looks exactly as you'd imagine). the easiest way to do that is by machine, except i couldn't because of the problems i just described and also the opening is too small for me to properly put it under the machine anyway. i never want to do a zigzag stitch by hand ever again. especially not with having to push through like six layers of fabric like no ty </3
now the corset
side by side of how a half of it looks on the outside vs the inside. both cups on the inside are labeled left and right respectively, in case i forget which boob goes where. currently the trim is just pinned on until i recover and can properly sew it down. i'll also have to figure out how to get the two zippers and the little rectangle that goes at the bottom on it too. the zippers for sure i'll have to cut down bc they're too long (they were the smallest ones the store had :/)
i found a pattern for it and it was easy enough to follow, just took longer than i wanted it to because i had to do it by hand. i also modified the pattern a bit to have it zip up at the front bc by default it closes at the back. had to adjust it twice so it would stop slipping off from being loose (size chart was weird). that little triangle was the result of me trying to ease the transition from the cups to the back of the corset after making the adjustments. it's not very noticeable when i have it on bc that's where my arms rest lol.
you might also be looking at the weird looking foam like why's it look like that. and you're right!
this is leftover from when foam was installed in the ceiling by the landlord to reduce noise from upstairs neighbors! like ten years ago! and she just left it here!! there's a lot more of it not pictured, that's just the amount i used. so kind. had to cut the triangles off and trim some of the thickness off, but thanks to her, i'm gonna have the quietest boobs at the con :)
and the hearts
they're right here :3 i still haven't attached them yet.
the trim is just black fabric cut into 5cm by 1.5m strips attached to other strips to make a super long strip i fold into 2cm pleats and cut as i go to fit the things i need to put it on. the stitching looks messy bc i have to in several times on the machine and only sometimes does my machine want to sew down more than two layers. i bought a yard of the black but i might unfortunately need more? i will cross that bridge when i get there.
the brown zip up undershirt thing i just modified an existing pattern i found online so that the sleeves were longer, it zips instead of buttoning up, and making it cropped. the collar is just that comically large so i suggest adjusting that if you also plan on using this pattern and don't like the collar size.
the skirt is a simple a-line skirt made a few inches wider so after sewing it and it's properly shaped like a skirt, i can go over and fold two sides together for that pleat in the middle of the skirt. i went in by hand to sew the inside of the folds to the fabric behind them so that the pleat stays in place. then i cut a strip of elastic to a few inches less than my waist measurement, sewed the ends down to form a circle, folded the top of the skirt over it twice, and then sewed it down and boom waistband. looks kinda weird all bunched up when it's not being worn, but i didn't really care about making it too pretty. you only really see the bottom part of it lol
i also made legwarmers to wear with the outfit because i refuse to spend money on shoes i will never wear outside of cosplay. they're literally just tubes made of a singular rectangle each with elastic on one of the ends, easiest thing ever. i think those boots fit well enough with the overall vibe so i'll wear them with the outfit.
the beige skirt thing she has i cut out already but really didn't do anything with yet so i have nothing to show for it rn lol
oh also. the brown, black, pink, and teal fabrics are broadcloth, the beige is peachskin, and the white fabric and little things on the front of jun's collar are gabardine (leftover from lisa and elly's uniforms).
if anyone has any questions i'd be down to answer them :3

HEY SKY COSPLAYERS!! Some help? :}
So, for a con next year (hopefully!) I'm planning to cosplay one of my Sky OCs.
So far I have everything I need ready to order, the only thing I'm missing is the mask they use.
I'm not really one to show my actual face while cosplaying, and I don't feel it right to wear a regular facemask with this specific OC.
I was wondering if there was any tips or possibly a list of things I may need to create my own mask? I may have a 3d model of the mask somewhere laying around on my computer, but whether or not it's usable at all is another question.
Some tiny notes:
I have a vendetta against realistic looking masks (ones that show the face structure like nose and lips), so if those can be avoided that'd be nice. I don't really have a budget for this? Anything works! I'd like to breathe, which I'm assuming can be done through the eyes? I'm not sure, this is my first time attempting to wear a full mask in cosplay. The con I attend doesn't seem to have strict guidelines for masks, though the surrounding stores may do, so I'd like it to be easily removable in case I do get asked to take it off. I live in the UK, so websites from there or listings in GBP (£) would be appreciated!
The deadline for this is early May next year, so plenty of time to work on it I'd say!
Thanks for any help I get!
(mask is black/dark grey with orange triangles under the eyes, which are white.)
I can't find any good refs of the mask since I personally don't own it in-game.
Tiny optional details:
Some extra things that I was interested in adding, would be LEDs to make the mask eyes glow, but this is fully optional and is dependant on how the mask itself will be structured.

So what do we have?
Louise: A woman who stalked a man to get with him, who "stole" him from another woman, that she mocks to this day. A cheater herself. A racist and lover of rape jokes and perverts (hello gainsbourg). A famewhore. A copycat who cosplays Alex's exes to the small details. A crazy person in general ( the knife video and her pretending that she's with Alex, while he's in another country!)
Amanda: racist as fuck, stalker to the extent that there's a restraining order. Shaded Breana many times. The owner of the infamous phrase "did you have tumor for breakfast?"
And as a cherry on top there's Matthew: the man who cheated on his wife and dumped her right after she buried her parents. He abandoned his daughter to the point when she wondered if he died. Breana was a single mother for three years!!!
What can I say? A dumb triangle reunited again. They keep exposing their lack of brain by posting all this shit.

Closing out the Summer 2024 anime season I've come away with a few romances, a few unexpected stories, and a bit of cosplay
Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian was an entertaining school romcom with our far too clever protagonist Masachika and the alluring, awkward, kind of tsundere love interest Alisa, aka Alya. Right from the start we're clued into the special scenario here, that Alya has underlying feelings for Masachika she won't be forward about, she says them under her breath in Russian, and it so happens that Masachika actually understands the language - not that anyone knows that except his sister. Right, and the sister, if you watch this you'll meet her and she's certainly got a few different faces and is sometimes there purely for the audience. As the series goes, we learn why Alya has her underlying feelings, positive and negative, about Masachika, and a bit of background on our hidden prodigy boy here.
Recommended? On the whole, as a romcom, yes. Roshidere mixes in enough unique elements, from the Russian language, to the love but also not between these two, to the family dynamics between Masachika and his sister, and the occasional bit of frivolous fan service, to make this an interesting little series with more coming.
Love is Indivisible by Twins was a so-so romantic comedy where twins Rumi and Naori are in love with their shared childhood friend Jun and how their advances create for a difficult love triangle. The set up sounds intriguing, but it all feels a bit soulless. Yes, Rumi and Naori have love for Jun, but ... the reasons feel a bit basic. Collide this with Rumi's indecisive nature, Naori's too aggressive moments, and a boy at the center who's indecisive, all making it not that much fun.
Recommended? Not really. The premise sounded like it could be provocative in some way, but it felt like the romance didn't get time to blossom and as a result the relationships felt a bit flat.
Days with My Stepsister was an intriguing romantic drama where we follow the day to day life of Yuta, the only son of a single father, and Saki, the only daughter of a single woman, and how they adapt to becoming step siblings after their parents married. The important bit to know is that each of their parents went through troubled divorces prior to the story, and the scars of that experience make them both want to keep a distance from one another. It makes for interesting dynamics, their initial coldness turning into something, though whether that's admiration, familial love, or something more isn't clear.
Recommended? For the right audience, yes. This delves into quite a bit of introspection, exploring one's pain and doubts, trust issues, & how to begin to grow into something more. It's slow, thoughtful, in spots difficult, but on the whole good if that all sounds interesting.
Senpai is an Otokonoko was a romantic comedy centered around our crossdressing boy Makoto and the love triangle that forms with his best friend Ryuuji and this girl Saki. Now, sounds simple enough, right? Wrong. This show delves into so much, from the difficulties Makoto has and continues to face as an otokonoko, to how those difficulties caused Ryuuji to have his own rebellious streak to be beside him, to Saki's difficulties within herself and with her family, plus how Ryuuji's hid his own feelings for Makoto, it's a lot to take in.
Recommended? Absolutely. The complexity of the situations here, from all angles, gets navigated with a lot of respect while not shying away from difficult moments. There's also this hilarious tactic the show does throwing in the silliest comedic moments all over the place. It's a great show with a movie coming sometime in 2025.
Twilight Out of Focus was a boys' love romance that gives you the stories of three distinct couples, each beginning with some type of initial interaction that builds into something more. Whether they're roommates, competitive wannabe directors, or two people that get tied together by happenstance, they find something to bond over.
Recommended? Indifferent. It's an entertaining BL, certainly, but encapsulating three different couples, in their own episode sets, in only twelve episodes leaves little time to really dwell on any single pair alone. There's also the appearance of some typical tropes mixed in, which felt uninspiring. A nice watch, but not worth seeking out.
Shoshimin: How to Become Ordinary was a mystery slice-of-life that follows Jogoro & Yuki as they attempt to live a quiet and ordinary life. Thing is, they keep getting wrapped up in mysteries and disasters, which feeds the part in each of them to be anything but ordinary. As the episodes go on, they deal with even the most mundane of things in such an inquisitive and explorative way that it intrigues the mind.
Recommended? If you're open to the type of show that attempts to take a different path, to tell elaborate stories with long dialogs, and won't be disappointed with a simple payoff at the end, then yes. It's delightful in just how much energy is put into the mundane, such as a cup of hot cocoa, but also how more serious events get the same level of complexity. A watch if you're willing to go out on a limb.
2.5 Dimensional Seduction is a romantic comedy that begins as we find Okumura, president of the school's manga club, proclaiming that he has no interest in real girls. As the new school year starts, a girl, Lilysa, wants to join the club. While he's initially resistant, it turns out she loves the same character, Lilliel, as him, and also has a passion for cosplaying. She convinces him to become her photographer, and that's where our story begins as they eventually venture out to a cosplaying event and begin to bring more friends into their orbit.
Recommended? Depends. Fair warning, the start is a real turn-off, Okumura's rigid otaku tendencies coming off cruel. Once cosplaying with Lilysa takes focus the story develops into something driven by helping her achieve her goals, and that's actually fascinating to watch unfold. If that sounds interesting, it could be worth watching, and it's continuing through the fall season. Don't let me get your hopes up too high though, this doesn't have the in-depth moments of a My Dress Up Darling, but it's plenty entertaining in its own way, especially as more girls get into the mix.
And that was my watched series for Summer 2024. Onward to another season of anime, wonder what to watch in Fall 2024 besides continuing with 2.5 Dimensional Seduction.

Just finished re reading ycyd once again. a wonderful read,
the last time I read it, was in Turkey and I got ghosted by a really hot punk guy and I was so violently depressed. BUT The idea of getting fucked by Toby unimaginably soothed my aching soul, I felt like a newborn fawn standing for the first time, perceiving an unseen world, and it’s vast beauty. More importantly, I may currently be frantically drawing all of the sex scenes with Toby for my own personal perverted enjoyment , so hypothetically do you know where that reference photo of the loft is?? for science of course.
Also partially blaming you guys for the period where I only went out with guys that looked like Brian and Tim, because y’all injected an uncontrollable lust in me, Alas, not sustainable in the long run; trying to get your man to wear a masky cosplay 24/7.
Anyways, you guys reignited Toby being my muse, and please if you do respond drop all of your art of Toby this is a stick up and I need it
So now I’m gonna go read spill your guts again bye!!!!!
This was my spill your guts Toby I drew last year and some ycyd tob which i’ve drawn eating him out alot artistic reverence, yada yada yada

1. Show me his cock.
2. I've always been very boring and Ill traveled so I've only ever really dated Abby (my beloved I love being boring) How are you pulling this many people? I want to study you under a microscope actually. (I am NAUGHT slut shaming I love sluts)
3. I once knew a Brian doppelganger. He was my sister's shitty boyfriend. Good riddance but I mean the resemblance was uncanny.
4. I love your art and I follow you from my main. If Toby had the means he would be like a freak Strade/Mason hybrid. Already kinda is but you get me.
5. I haven't drawn Toby much in the last year or so but I've got a few things for ya.
This mornings warm up and a shitty drawing of the loft. I always imagined it as kinda shallow with indented shelves.
Stuff from my Insta of Toby. Left is from last year. Right is part of a wider print well be selling with interruptions of the manor fellas but make it ho1c teehee.
That's all Ive got for Toby. I'm sorry beloved mutual. I wish I had the energy to draw him as much and as cute as you do.
However. I've been working on pinup prints you see. Tim and Brian double slutted up you see.
Brian's done but Tim's still in the works and very bald and has triangle nipples.
Toby is genuinely the reason we started SYG in the first place. It was his birthday and I wanted to widdle COVID times away by writing. We all know where that rabbit hole went.
I also have a piece of YCYD's novelization Toby art. Since I can't use the real thing I wanted to keep him close but not too to Toby in looks and personality. So here's that
Erm ☝️🤓 thank you for reading. I really do love your stuff teehee kicking my feet.

U know what time it is? That's right! New cosplay time! Ridill arindite from reflectionttrpg to be specific!
youtube
Photos too :3
I go more into detail in the video about how I built her but here's the run down!
I patterned and sewed the outfit as per the usual, and hand dyed the lining and socks with a gradient as well as adding in fairy lights! The battery pack for the lights is in a bag in back on one of the belts.
I'm really sorry I don't have the usual quality photos, I recently moved and don't have my cosplays with me at the current moment.
All the triangles are cut out with a circuit and are made of iron on vinal!
Finally I 3d modeler and printed the orbs on the staff, the pole is PVC wrapped in car vinal!
Again I'm really sorry I don't have the detailed photos, next cosplay will have them again!
Thank you so much for reading!

Gonna talk more about The Book of Bill in this Ask. As well as ur answer to my 1st Ask:
"1. Preorders start today actually!!!!! It’s a really great zine and I’m excited to have been a part of it."
Nice!
"2. I do plan on finishing at least The Helpful Lie, I think I owe the fic that much and I have so much of it mapped out. That being said…"
I really do hope u will at least finish this fic someday. As well as Illumine and Cosmic Twins. And etc. I love these TAU fics dearly after all. However, I can wait. I have waited years for more of something, and I can take a long to post and stuff myself. And I can do the same with these things.
"3. Spending time in the Psych fandom has been so rewarding. This was the right time for me to transition into something else. I’m gonna put this vaguely for privacy’s sake— I needed a new fandom if I was going to engage healthily again. And honestly, I think in 7 months Psych has given me more support and community than 12 years in Gravity Falls ever did. (But that’s luck, considering I went to Psych con and met the people who live in my phone.) (And probably also demographics.)"
I am sad u feel like the GF community couldn't always give u the stuff that the Psych community did. I have had great times in the GF fandom(s) myself personally. Saying that, I am happy Psych and it's community is is making u happy right now.
"4. Obvi Gravity Falls and TAU are still the loves of my life and rn there’s this beautiful meld of Psych and Gravity Falls coexisting in my brain. Book of Bill was great and it reinvigorated something in me. So yes, I’ll come back eventually and write more but for now, I’m invested in my little queer detectives"
And I hope to see u and I am excited to see u come back more in/to the GF and/or TAU fandom(s) someday (like new chapters and/or fics. Etc.), but like I said, I am happy you are having fun with Psych right now. And/or having fun with a blend of Psych and Gravity Falls in ur mind.
Also, "Book of Bill was great and it reinvigorated something in me",
Cool!
Gonna talk more about this, but I will save that for it's separate Ask.
Thank you for ur Answer to my previous Ask.
:)
1/?.
Oof. Uhhhhhhhh.
I think it’s just the helpful lie I’ll be finishing. (Maybe cosmic twins.) I can’t go back to Illumine. I do not like to contradict canon and though I didn’t know Book of Bill would be a thing a the time, I still don’t like that my story arc was off and the fic is too far gone to change anything. I won’t delete it but I’m not finishing it.
I love the game of canon too much. I like having to work within its confines even if I’m going off the rails with an AU. It challenges me as a writer. So Illumine has lost its appeal, but The Helpful Lie has certainly gained some. I have thoughts about my dumb triangle son…
And ok ok… it’s not that Gravity Falls/ Tau wasn’t a great fandom with tons of love and support. It is! And forgive me if this gets TMI. But I felt like I would never be good enough for this fandom. All of my fic, cosplay the freaking fanzine I started, my whole thesis, every single academic conference I went to specifically to talk about the show, all of the work I put into to Gravity Falls: I was essentially destroying myself for a fandom that wouldn’t love me back with the same passion. I still LOVE Gravity Falls with my whole heart and soul. But that burnout still hurt me.
So this step back has been good.
And Psych is oddly different. I think the fandom is old enough now to be kind of its own thing— but going to Psych con was the eye opener. I was worried about being the new kid on the block in this fandom from 2006. But complete strangers have shown up for me, tried to help push my academic career by promoting my writing and trying to get me celebrity interviews (which didn’t work out but damn— I’ve never had folks do me those favors before just because they want me to succeed), among other things. It changed my perspective a lot to have total strangers hug me and tell me I had done so much.
That was very ranty and emotional because I’m super sleep deprived (Bill my son please hop into my brain and joy ride me around, leaving me to wake up in a Taco Bell and with half a chalupa. This flesh puppet is ripe for the takin’). But things have been good different in this new corner of the internet. And when I’m ready I’m gonna finish the helpful lie so that I can feel good about it and not like I’m jumping through hoops.
Oh and the blending in my brain looks like memes

Post-Fall Falls False Starts- Chapter 6: Wish Upon a Triangle
Previous Chapter | Next Chapter
"Cosplaying him didn't work, or at least it hasn't yet," Sarah mused. "I was gonna go and try to fall asleep by the instructions for summoning him, but it turns out I've only ever seen here and never actually been here and I don't know my way around at all. Embarrassing, right? I just fell asleep in a random cave and hoped that would work."
Rob blinked absently.
"Thing is, I dunno when we are. Like, has he already been summoned? If I did it first, would that lead to some kind of freaky paradox? Would I be on the wrong side of time law? I guess I also want him to come to me because that's more satisfying than just brute-forcing it and making him show up, but is that too selfish of me, or is it just the right level of selfish?"
"Uh-"
"Besides! Imagine I summon him and he asks why, and I say, oh! I dunno. I just wanted to talk! That would make me seem so desperate! Ugh, but maybe desperation can be cool in sort of a yandere type of way? Is that how I want him to see me? As some- some- fangirl? Well, maybe I am, but not for him! This is purely a narrative thing! Ugh! How the heck do I get him to notice me without making it seem like I want him to notice me? Rob, any ideas?"
Rob scrunched his eye closed. He felt like a web browser with 52 tabs open. Minutes earlier, Sarah had led him back to camp, sat him down, and promised to explain everything. She had asked him where to start, he had said, 'wherever you think is best', and she had replied, 'okay, I'll start in the middle'.
"Uh, you want me to tell you how to meet a demon?"
"Not just any demon. We're talking about-"
"I know, you've said Bill like fifteen times! I have no clue who he even is or why you wanna meet him so bad. We're done with the middle and the end- start at the beginning. Can you do that?"
"The beginning. Okay, okay, sure, I can do that. I'm more of an in medias res type of girl, myself, but linear storytelling has its benefits-"
"Get to the point."
"Chill out! I'm getting there! Okay, okay, so! Our story begins in 2012."
"Maybe start a little closer to the present."
"No can do. You want the whole story, right? Besides, 2012 is the present right now, at least probably. The timeline hasn't been confirmed- whatever."
Rob almost scoffed, but found himself nodding and burying his chin in his palm.
"Okay, so, the year is 2012, and the media landscape is a pretty great place for a company called- wait. No, no, let me start from the veeeeery beginning. The year is 1901. Flora and Elias Disney are in Chicago, Illinois, about to bring their fourth child into the world..."
The shadows grew longer, and Sarah's story meandered every which way, and at one point she retrieved a flashlight from who-knows-where and held it under her chin despite the lack of anything spooky in her ramblings. When she finished, the first stars of the night had appeared in the evening sky above the clearing. Rob found himself staring at them instead of paying attention.
"Anyways," said Sarah, taking a breath so deep she momentarily turned inside out (had she not been breathing for the hours it took her to tell the story?) "Gravity Falls. That's where we are."
He sat up, rubbed his eye, and thought for a moment, 'what a waste of time'. And then, as if by a truck, he felt the weight all of the information his subconscious brain had picked up on while he zoned out.
"Wait," he said, holding his hands up. "You're telling me this place where we are exists in the form of a fictional cartoon back home? We are inside a story you've already seen? Right now?"
He knew this place was also a work of fiction to the real world, but he had never once considered that it might be fiction to his world as well. What did that mean? Surely that had really huge implications hovering just outside of his cognitive reach! Hindsight was 20/20! And now, for better or worse, he was no longer the capable one. Upstaged. By a fangirl, no less. Typical. Hold on, he wondered, what if this went both ways? What if somebody recognized him as a fictional character? That would be bad for his whole monster shtick that he had been fantasizing about on the down-low since his encounter with that human guy. He'd need to know for sure! Sarah was nodding.
"Do you know if there's an internet in this universe?" Rob asked. His phone had been dead since long before he left Elmore, what with the lack of a usable power grid.
"Sure there is! After all, in season 2, episode 2-" Sarah paused, noticing Rob's dead, empty gaze, and got to the point quickly. "Yes, the internet exists here. Why? Oh, don't tell me..."
Sarah was blushing and squishing her cheeks now and Rob felt it was best for his peace of mind to not think about why. He had in his grasp a chance at thriving in this new world, armed with someone knowledgable about it, and he could not jeopardize that by giving the poor girl an existential crisis over her own nonexistence. He had come to think of himself as the solemn guardian of forbidden knowledge- a man (or, when it counted, kid) burdened with the truth and the responsibility associated with that truth. That had been the ethos behind his convoluted rescue plan for the people of Elmore Junior High. Well, that and it seemed like the kind of plan a professional supervillain ought to make, and, provided there were a lack of supervillains in the real world, he wanted his rather spotted career to go out with a real bang.
"Sarah, I just wanted to ask- no hard feelings, right?"
"Hard feelings? About you not listening to me? Oh, trust me, I get that all the time."
"No! I meant about the whole Superintendent Evil thing!"
"That? That was a long time ago."
"It was two weeks ago."
"Two weeks is a long time in the apocalypse. Look, don't worry about it, okay? Human AUs are totally classic! I was just thinking, hmmm- if this Evil guy is actually evil, Gumball and Darwin will take care of him in about 11 minutes."
That comment might as well have been an arrow through Rob's nonexistent heart.
"Would it cheer you up if you got to say, 'I told you so'?"
He had wanted to say that before, but now there was very little fight left in him.
"I told you so," Rob replied in a weak little voice...
...That grew stronger as something bubbled up inside of him.
"I told you so! I TOLD YOU SO!" He got to his feet, gesturing wildly, as his pent-up rage came to the surface. "Nobody listened, and we could be in the real world, but instead I'm stuck here with a crazy weirdo girl who's trying to summon a demon! On purpose! And we have no food, no internet, no way home, heck, no home to return to. It's your fault. It's all of your faults! The one time I try and do something good, fate comes along and slaps me in the face for it! UUUGH!"
He smacked his head on a nearby tree and fell backwards into the dirt, clutching it in pain and glitching out for a second. Why was it that every time he tried to lash out in anger he ended up hurting himself? ...Well, in this specific instance, he wasn't sure what he thought would happen.
"What did you think would happen?" Sarah asked, peering over him.
"Shut up," he mumbled, rolling over to lay face-down in the dirt.
"Do you need ice?"
"I know that if I say yes, you're gonna-"
She flopped down next to him on her back so that they were cheek-to-cheek, her iciness soothing his headache a little. He reluctantly let it happen. He hadn't meant to fall asleep, but something about the whole situation lulled him away from the waking world and into an uneasy dream.
It was the forest, yes, just as it had been before he fell asleep, only Sarah was absent and so were the stars above. He noticed moments later that the floor underfoot was the familiar- if heavily cracked- tile floor of Elmore Junior High, covered in the dirt that lined the forest floor in the waking world, with a familiar hole several feet from him leading down into the void. It wasn't growing. A moment from his memory forever frozen in time. Something drew him towards the hole and he discovered first that its surface rippled like water and second that he could see his reflection in it.
The reflection shifted and changed with the surface of the liquid static. It melted into his cute (he liked to think so) look from long before he had been chewed up and spit out, and then into how he'd looked right before hitching a ride out of the void the first time, and then into Superintendent Evil's visage, and then into an odd human form he didn't recognize- and then into a yellow, strangely-shaped form he definitely didn't recognize.
It blinked.
Five seconds later, Rob processed what exactly was wrong with that, and six seconds later, one of the reflection's black hands reached past the static surface and latched onto the edge of the hole, pulling its entire triangular body out and into the air right in front of Rob's face. The thing put its hands on what passed for its hips, ascended further into the sky, and turned a gaze with an undercurrent of frustration to Rob, who blinked and suddenly righted himself in confusion. Something stirred in the back of his mind, something that would have helped clarify the situation had he been more lucid.
"Hey, kid! Want a once-in-ten-billion-lifetimes opportunity?" came a shrill voice from everywhere, though Rob gathered the thing was the one speaking by how its body flashed. "You're about to hear me say something I have never said before! Listen up- I'll only say it once- this is the kind of thing you're gonna remember for the rest of your life, whether you want to or not!"
Happiness, maybe? Annoyance? Anger? It was hard to tell. Either way, Rob found his words at the exact same time that the yellow thing did, and as it turned out, they were the exact same words.
"Who the heck are you?"
