Exciting Cosplay making moment:

I just realized that two of my cosplans can share the same wig!!!

Two years ago, I watched a video about wig making that got me interested in making sculptural character wigs, more specifically for Pokémon. I immediately sketched out some ideas for Eeveelution inspired wigs, including this one for Vaporeon:

This is my upcoming Hatsune Miku cosplan. Rock-type miku has a huge head piece instead of hair, but I’m not sure what the sections on the side of her head are meant to be. I’m thinking I could make those as hair, possibly a diamond shaped bubble braid on either side of her head, and style some bangs in front.

So basically, cutting one light blue wig in half could, hypothetically, work for two costumes!!! (knock on wood)

The wig I have is a cheaper wig, so it could be harder for me to style. The only wig I’ve successfully styled so far is an Arda wig, and I’ve also struggled with a lower quality wig before. That could have been a hairline problem, or a lack of time, so I still have a faint hope that I might make it work someday.

This is the wig I have, that I bought for Vaporeon. It’s from 2022 and I haven’t even taken it out of the package yet!!

(I also have leftover blue wefts from my Lagoona Blue wig that are a little more vivid, but can be used in a pinch)

i worked more on the Ches jacket today! it’s now white enough to apply the green!! i’m going to let it dry overnight and then probably do that tomorrow. just 2 days until the con!!

Update on futterpuppet!!!!

He's virtually finished! I just have to clean up some spaces where you can still see the base, but other than that I just have to make the mask and wait for this realllyyy pretty and vintage shirt to arrive and we'll be finished!

Sebastian Michaelis - Public School Arc

Most of y'all already know about this one and it's been getting semi regular posts here on the hellsite, but Sebastian is absolutely getting done in the year of our Lord 2025!! He's hopefully going to be a competition piece for the Connecticon XXII craftsmanship contest, so he's getting a lot of detailed work done to show off my abilities (or. lack thereof). I won't go super into detail about my plans with it (since I am posting pretty regularly about him), so if you want to see the updates on that absolutely go check those posts out.

I think she's just. Neat. And totally not any other reason. I do think I'll probably do this outfit (cause it serves) and I'll maybe do a performance with her? I'm thinking perhaps. Guess by Charli XCX and Billie Eillish... only if I can figure out a way to cut it into a pg-13 audio though, which is not a skill I have yet. I'll figure that part out AFTER I figure out the mess that is the wig - it'll definitely be a PVC pipe ponytail wig, but beyond that. I have no idea. I do think I'll need an airbrush for this wig as well - and I'll need one for the makeup as well. Bodypaint will be the death of me...

I have a secondhand wedding dress that I will be altering and absolutely COATING in fake blood, and my lovely gf (etta_cosplay on instagram) will be shoved into the nearest cheap suit and will also be completely coated in fake blood. I also already have a location set, a church near me (the same one I got my biblically accurate angel photos taken at!) will be perfect for it. Ideally we'll be able to do that shoot sometime this winter - maybe I can get stuff set for Valentine's Day (Hi babe I know you're reading this FEBRUARY PLS I'LL DO YOUR MAKEUP FOR YOU).

Neon Road to Artist Alley, p14

After all my manic making and shouting into the void about whether this elective suffering was even a good idea... I've finally made it through to the other side! My first artist alley was overwhelming and also incredibly gratifying. I go to Otakon year over year but being on this side of things, I missed out on some of my favorite aspects of it. However, the trade off of engaging with a bunch of fellow nerds in the way you get to from the other side of an artist alley table? Priceless. Like, yes, let's talk about our shared hyperfixation. Bestie, if I had time to cosplay, I was cosplanning that character too! Let me touch that prop, dude, did you make it yourself?

Needless to say, my nervous energy prior to the event is what also got me through it because I was running on zero sleep and fumes for the last several weeks but I still got to connect with so many cool people! It was awesome and I'll 100% do it again. Promise not to clog your feeds *so* much with it next time. I'm even splitting a table for another smaller, local con this weekend (and I mostly kept that to myself until now)!

Dropping pictures below and just wanted to thank you all for your support again. It meant a lot when I was spiraling. Promise to get back to my shitposting, meta posts and whatever this is after Risucon! So leave me something to ponder (if you want)!

i have so many that i want to do but the ones i have actively in planning are updates to my dsmp!Tubbo cosplay, a c!Tommy, and finishing my Sally Face one!! i've also got a Crowley WIP but that's a bit on the backburner atm

my favourite past one right now though is probably my Grian, it's still a WIP but i'm the happiest with how it's turned out and how it's going :D

Sign of life update here

I see the tags and mentions here but I can’t do everything during weekdays because my work is very hectic it drains my energy away so I decided to do my stuff during weekends as it’s my days off and time to shed off the professional me and be the weird me again.

I know I don’t have much mutuals here but I care about a few who remembers me on posts and other things we share interests on. Love y’all and keep them all coming 💙

I have pending cosplay requests I know and I am just waiting for some items to come the next days so I can trial it properly so stay tuned 😊

For pending writing request I will do it this weekend along with my mk fanfiction with a friend so here’s to hoping I am not exhausted and ends up sleeping for almost the whole day lol

I still have other cosplans pending so idk really I need to prioritize to finish something haha gosh I’m swamped I even say no to invites for food and going out with friends (I’m losing my social life wth I’m not much bothered tho)

First Post/Wtf I am planning at the moment

So, cosplans huh. Well you're in luck because i like making them, (not necessarily sticking to them), and boy do I have some right now! So here what I've got lined up. I only have four brand new cosplays planned for this year, first up is Nona the Ninth for cosplay skate in march, and then maybe, (and it's a big maybe), Kells coat from a Darker Shade of Magic for a competition in september. Then i want to make Satsuki and Mei from Totoro for me and my sister (this was a convention plan from before covid and I'm really excited to get to finally do it), and then cap off the year with Sakizo's Seraphims Blessing as my other competition piece for this year.

Those are the only new costume plans I have those year, i do want to work on fixing and updating a couple cosplays from last year. I want to finish Dottore, fix up Vi and Collei, and make Gideon for real, since she is currently only a closet cosplay.

I also have a bunch of other ideas that may or may not happen, but those are most likely far off in the future so I don't think it's worth mentioning yet.

Update on current cosplay WIPs, because I keep forgetting about this account:

• Beau: I have a PVC pipe that will eventually become her staff, and a variety of ideas to test for making the ends.

• Jester: I have another PVC pipe that will become the handle of the lollipop, as well as pipe insulation foam to make the head of the lollipop. I’ve done a couple of product tests on the foam to see what I can use on it for glue and paint - hopefully I can do more on that in the summer. I’m also looking into new arm-socks and need to re-do the fangs. I’m planning on taking her to Fantasy Forest in July, but I probably won’t have the lollipop yet.

• What-If!Ashton: I’ve partially customised some trousers, but they still need a little more work, and I’ve bought a pleather jacket for modification and some hardware. Face paint and bodysuit are being looked into, as are techniques to make the hair.

• Molly and Essek: very distant cosplans. I have red and blue Sunset Makeup foundations (originally for Ruby and Jester), and have discovered that mixing them makes a pretty decent colour for the two purple bois. Molly’s been in my “distant future” plans for a while, held back mostly by the coat and tattoos. The coat may well become a longterm embroidery project, but I don’t know the start date yet.
