Your bones are chilled to your core.
Blood seeps out of open wounds, glistening in the light like stars in a deep sky. You're so cold, so shakey, so afraid. Your captor kneels beside you, hands roaming over your skin to sink into the cuts and bruises he's made into your flesh. You can't help the whimpers and yelps that crawl up your throat. You just wish you had enough strength left to push him or yourself away.
Pearl eyes stare at the ground while he discovers what's happening to you with his hands. Blood, he feels. Flesh, he feels. Trembling, bone, vessels, nerves, hair standing up on end. Soaked shirt. Tears. Warm face. Warm breath.
He drifts his hands to find the knife again. In a moment of panic, you try to shove yourself off the ground. You get up to your elbows before he snatches your hair, dragging you down so your head meets his lap. He looks down at you, but his eyes see nothing.
"Don't go," he says gently. His hand relaxes in your hair to pet, to soothe. The knife comes to your throat, positioned over your carotid artery. Is he going to kill you?
"Please," you sob, tears dripping hot and fat behind your ear. "I'll be good, I promise, just-- p- please."
Marvin tilts his head. He drapes his hand around your neck to feel the thump, thump, thump, in the vessels. Your heart beats like a rabbit staring at a snake in their burrow. Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide, only death wrapping itself tight around your body. Only your captor wrapping fingers gentle around your throat.
"I'll be good," he mimics you, whispering. "I'll be good."
He keeps one hand on your pulse, while the other explores the seams of your clothes with the blade.

Curiosity Killed the Cat: Chapter 12
The Grand Finale Chapter 11 | Masterpost|
Jameson and Anti arrive in Chase’s recording room in a burst of glitches. Jameson is quick to run over to his brothers, Chase quickly meeting him halfway and hugging him tight. Jameson smiles and pats his arms, trying to assure him that he’s okay.
Anti buzzes to stand next to Henrik and Jackie, eyeing down the computer. “...any clue what Kit kat is planning?”
Jackie sighs, “No… but… Phantom did warn us he would be trying to get a large crowd… I just hope his magic can’t affect people over technology…”
“Whatever this is though,” Henrik adds shakily, “I do not think it’s good…”
“Yeah…” Anti agrees, solemnly looking at the screen.
Marvin’s charming face is smiling at the screen as he begins the stream. He looks… normal. His bright blue eyes are shining with that innocent look he had before all this mess started. His hair is… long though- and brown. But, he wears his signature white cat mask on his face, a big cloak over his shoulders- and that suit he’s been wearing still on and looking fresh. Fresher than it did at the hospital that’s for sure…
“Top of the morning, everyone! That’s what Jack says, right?” He laughs and tries to smile at the camera, “Sorry if I got it wrong! It’s been a while since I had a video, hasn’t it?”
Jackie grips the back of the chair he’s leaning on, hearing cracks under his palms. Marvin sounds fine… but he knows he’s not. He knows that isn’t fully his brother right now… and his heart is beating in his throat as he hangs onto every word he says.
Marvin laughs again and his eyes flicker to something darker- green and purple appearing briefly in his irises as he adds quietly.
“...did you miss me?”
That line sends a shiver down all the egos’ back- except Anti who scowls and bares his teeth, his form glitching angrily.
“Or- I guess you were expecting that line from someone else, weren’t you?” Marvin spits at the camera, his voice getting lower. He glares at the camera now.
“Actually… that’s why I’m here. I would like to have a chat with all of you…” Marvin talks like a teacher disappointed at his students, sighing dramatically. “We need to talk about the glitch… and all of yours’s... Unhealthy obsession with him.”
He slams his hands down on the table and leans in closer to the camera, the feed glitching slightly with green and purple as his anger resurfaces. Flickers of his darker mask and veins of black magic show up on his skin, if only for a brief second. He glares with hatred burning in his eyes.
“Why do you want to hurt me and my brothers?!” He snarls at the screen.
“Oh the theorists are gonna have a field day with all of this,” Anti mutters, crossing his arms.
“Why do you cheer and seek out our torturer? Is our pain funny to you? Is it fun to see us controlled and puppet-ed and hurt over and over and over again?!” Marvin bites at the screen, feeling the eyes of the community on him. His anger makes his form flicker more and more. But finally, he laughs bitterly and shakes his head, sitting back down in the chair and lounging back. But he still looks furiously at the camera.
“...You all have no concept of the pain you cause. All for your entertainment… you all sicken me.”
“...harsh-” Chase whispers under his breath with a wince. Though… he can’t help feeling exactly what Marvin is feeling. And he’s sure his brothers are all hiding that part of them that feels the same.
Marvin laughs darkly as he tilts his head at the camera and grins, showing sharp canines. His form fully melts away into it’s corrupted form- mask black and purple and branches of purple magic running up his neck and crawling up rapidly to his face. His sclera has turned black and his eyes flare even more purple.
Cries of confusion can be seen in the chat. Some wonder how Jack is doing all this- others assuming this is all for shit and giggles.
“Well today! I say no more!” Marvin chuckles darkly but his emotions quickly shift to anger again as purple magic zips around him dangerously. “I’m sick of being a pawn controlled by the whims of people who don’t even know me! Just like fucking Jack… I will no longer be a puppet- controlled by the likes of you!”
For a second- it feels like Marvin’s eyes meet Anti’s through the screen. And… Anti hates the surge of fear that goes through him.
Marvin then looks away and laughs, getting up and holds out a hand that glows purple. The camera seems to be lifted up in his magic as he grins, “And to prove that to you all… let me show you something~!”
In a poof of purple smoke- the camera turns off for just a second and then reappears with Marvin- and he’s now standing over the comatose Jack.
“Jack!” Henrik shouts in worry, closing in on the screen as if he can reach them.
The comments are going crazy- some worried- some wondering if any of this was real.
“Now this must be a shock for you all! After all…our beloved Chase has been doing such a good job of filling in for our precious Jack, hasn’t he?”
Chase shivers and staggers back, feeling panic gripping at his chest. No! What was Marvin doing?? He’s unraveling everything they’ve been trying to hide! He’s gonna send the whole community into a frenzy!
“He’s insane-” Anti growls, “Just what is he trying to do? Make 20 million people have a panic attack?? Alert the news? He’s gonna expose all of us!”
“He must be doing this for a reason…” Jackie mutters, but he looks nervous too. This was gonna be a lot to clean up….
“Now now- don’t worry everyone! I can assure you he is safe… and I will wake him up after all of this is done!”
“̸̬̾L̷͓̐i̴̧͂k̴͓̚e̸̙͝ ̵̣̆h̶̗̔e̸̟͆l̸͙͘l̸̥̉ ̴̦͝ḣ̷͈e̶̝̎ ̶͇̌w̴͙͂i̵̳͆l̷̮͠l̶͖̚!” Anti suddenly shouts, glitching wildly and he tries to dive towards the computer. He barely enters the screen for a second before he’s thrown out, spasming as purple energy crackles along his body. He grits his teeth and curls up on the floor to keep from crying out in pain.
Marvin seems to stare knowingly at the screen as he smirks and chuckles. “You see… this is the work of the glitch you all love so much… you gave him enough power to take Jack… and put him to sleep.
But, not to worry! I took control of him from the glitch… I’ve been keeping him safe and sound.” He assures the screen charismatically.
“Lying Bastard!” Henrik curses, gripping the table tight. Jameson puts a hand on his shoulder to try to calm him down.
Marvin then sighs and poofs and him and the camera appear back by the desk in the normal recording spot. He stares at the screen intensely.
“... there is something that must be done before I can wake up Jack and make all of this right, however. And for that… I need all of your help.”
“...uh oh-” Jackie whispers.
“You see,” Marvin begins- and as he does, the background behind him starts to shift and change, warbling in and out of focus, flowing like it’s made of watercolor. Then, it slowly starts to spiral.
“I can’t allow all of you to fuel the glitch any longer… so you’re all going to help me get rid of him.”
All of the egos feel shivers go down their spine as they start to panic.
“Jamie quickly! Marvin is at Jack’s see if you can-!” Henrik whispers desperately.
Jamie is already trying to produce some magic to try to teleport- but his magic sparks and fizzles with purple.
Anti groans from the ground, trying to get up, “H-He’s blocked it- He’s created some kind of magic wall- we can’t get to him…!” He growls in anger.
Marvin laughs maniacally and thrusts a hand out at the camera. It starts to glow purple and spirals of lavender magic start to overlay the screen- the background also swirling with purple magic.
Jackie recognizes this instantly and he shoves anyone close to the screen that’s trying to watch. “D-Don’t look! H-He’s trying to-!”
Chase and Henrik are shoved to the floor, Jameson trips and lands on his ass, magic cracking as he falls.
But, In his effort to push everyone else away- Jackie has ended up standing right in front of the screen. The magic very quickly grabs a hold of him, his eyes echoing the spiral of the magic as his jaw falls open, mind going blank.
“N-No! Jackie!” Chase cries out, trying to push himself up. Henrik grabs him though and keeps him down, fear clear in his eyes. “J-Jackie said not to look!”
Marvin’s laughter is haunting as he captures all of the viewers one by one. The chat falls silent as everyone who is watching is caught in the magic- falling under Marvin’s spell.
He giggles as more magic starts to eat up his skin on his face, veins opening up wider and fizzling with more dark purple magic.
“Yes…! All of you… all of you give me your memories of the glitch…! I’ll erase them… bit by bit.” He pauses to laugh, feeling a surge of emotions from his captives.
“No, don’t worry everyone! I won’t kill him~! No… I’ll leave enough of him around… Just enough so he can’t fade. But he won’t reform either… ha ha… doesn’t that sound familiar, A̴̭͝n̵̹̈́t̶̹̓ì̵̢?̷̝̓” Marvin laughs insanely, increasing his magic as he starts to dig into everyone’s collective memories- and starts to tear them to shreds. Any hint or glitch of the demon known as Antisepticeye, he rips apart into tiny pieces.
Anti starts to scream bloody murder, his entire form starting to be broken apart by purple veins of magic. He glitches and spasms, clawing at the ground like that can save him. His eyes are pits of toxic purple magic as he screams and screams and screams-!
“H-Help me…! H̴̺̾-̷̨̉Ĥ̴͇Ê̴̼L̸͓̅P̶̺ ̴͙̆M̶͈͂E̴̲͛!̷̘̍!̷̛̟”̴̫̀ ̵͓̈ Anti sobs out desperately, his entire form being broken apart.
Henrik rushes to Anti’s side and Jameson joins him, the gentleman tries to stabilize him with a bit of magic. But- it’s not working, nothing is working!
Chase staggers and goes to grab onto Jackie’s shoulder, shaking him. “J-Jackie! C’mon dude, snap out it! Y-You’re helping Marvin, h-he’s gonna kill us!”
Jackie doesn’t respond- or more like he can’t respond. The magic is strong in his eyes, his mind being invaded and memories being picked apart and shredded. Purple veins crawl from his eyes and tears leak out of them as he trembles- stuck in the magic’s grasp.
But, even though he doesn’t respond to Chase- he seems to be mumbling something. Even though it seems to pain him.
“M-Marvin… d-don’t do this… please..! Stop!” The hero whispers tearfully.
Chase dares to briefly look at the screen- at Marvin.
The magician- for just a second… seems to flinch, blue very faintly flickering in his eyes.
Chase’s eyes widen. Did- did he hear Jackie…? Did they have more of a pull since they’re all connected to Jack and Anti?
Chase narrows his eyes in determination. He looks at the others. “G-Guys… this may sound crazy… but I have an idea…! I think… if we get pulled under- maybe we can reach Marvin through his magic!”
“T̴-̷T̶h̴a̶t̵'̷s̴ ̷t̵h̷e̶ ̶s̶t̴u̷p̶i̵d̶e̵s̷t̶ ̸t̶h̷i̵n̸g̴ ̵I̵'̴v̸e̴ ̵e̴v̴e̷r̷ ̶h̶e̶a̴r̴d̶!̸” Anti snaps out at Chase.
Henrik and Jameson exchange glances. But slowly, Jameson nods, eyes glowing with determination. Henrik sighs and seems hesitant, gripping his hands into fists. But, he soon nods too. “I-It’s worth a try… what else can we do?”
Chase smiles at his brothers and then helps them up to join him next to Jackie. He hesitates, then grabs Jackie’s hand. A surge of power flows up his arm, orange light shimmering in his veins. He looks at it with confusion. “Uh… okay- that’s… totally normal…”
Jameson notices this and goes to take Jackie’s other hand. He catches red pulsing up through Jackie’s veins under his jacket sleeve as his own glows teal. He offers his hand to Henrik’s who takes it quickly. His veins glow with white and he laughs a bit in disbelief, shaking his head.
“... I will never understand all this magic shit… but… let’s save our brother…”
Jamie nods with a hopeful smile. Then- they all look towards the screen, letting the magic fully take them in.
“F̷-̴F̵u̴c̴k̸i̷n̸g̷ ̴s̶u̶i̵c̸i̶d̷a̸l̶ ̷i̶d̵i̵o̸t̸s̷-̶ ̵” Anti grumbles before he gets another wave of pain that sends him screaming and glitching into the carpet.
As the magic washes over them, suddenly the brothers hear a cacophony of screaming that sends all their minds reeling. It’s a tidal wave of confusion and fear and agony that sends them spiraling underneath. But they quickly try to resurface- determination pushing them forward.
They hear a loud voice above the others, echoing in the wide expanse. “MARVIN!!” Jackie’s voice cries desperately. “You have to stop this! This is gonna kill you! Please wake up!”
Henrik and Schneep start to join him, shouting out for their brother, trying to get him to snap out of this.
Then- another voice joins them- almost as loud as Jackie’s.
“MARVINNN!!” Jameson’s inner voice yells. The others are momentarily confused. They’ve never heard his voice before. But… with the tone and the British accent- it sure does sound like him.
Jamie continues to shout towards Marvin, pushing his magic into projecting towards the magician. “Marvin we’re here!! You don’t have to do this, this isn’t you! Please stop this!! Don’t let the darkness win! Fight back!!”
The others are fueled by their little brother’s passion and start to join him in his cries, increasing their voices above the panicked screaming of the fandom.
Marvin’s magic falters, his fingers trembling as he tries to keep the spell steady. But there’s a very loud scream behind him that’s threatening to break his concentration.
Jack is also screaming in agony as Marvin’s magic destroys what he’s created.
“Shut up! You’re fine!” Marvin growls to the Youtuber, “This is for your own good! For all of our good!”
Then, Marvin is hit with a wave of screaming voices- hearing the fandom’s panic all at once and it leaves him breathless. His eyes flicker more with blue at the sound and he tries to drown it out, closing his eyes and increasing the spell.
“No no no! C’mon I-I’m so close…!” He grunts to himself through gritted teeth.
Then, he hears them- the sounds of his brother’s voices. And- Jamie… Jameson is the loudest.
Orange, red, teal and white light dances in his eyes, trying to fight back against the purple corruption. He winces and holds a hand against his head, the voices becoming too much. It feels like his head is gonna explode!
“Marvin please!!” Henrik pleads.
“C’mon Marv! You’re better than this!” Chase urges.
“You’re not alone anymore Marvin! We’ll never let Anti hurt you again!” Jackie promises.
“Marvin, please! Fight back! WAKE UP!” Jameson encourages.
Something inside him snaps. And… it feels like Marvin is waking up from the deepest dream he’s ever been in.
He gasps and instantly ends the spell, waving his hand away to get rid of the spirals.
The boys all crumble to the floor as they’re released.
Anti is practically passed out and dead weight on the ground, his entire body covered in purple magic veins that spark with glitches and pixels. Henrik rushes to check his pulse or- whatever you’d check to make sure the glitch wasn’t dead.
Jackie staggers to his feet and goes to help up Chase and Jameson. He smiles warmly at Jamie and claps a hand on his shoulder.
“Nice shouting in there, buddy! You were incredible! A true septic voice, just like the rest of us!” He pulls Jamie in and gives him a slightly noogie. “Always knew you had it in ya, baby bro!”
Jameson blushes bashfully and hides slightly behind his hands.
Then, They all turn back to the screen, and see Marvin hyperventilating.
He looks desperately at the camera, tears in his bright blue eyes as he whimpers out, “I’m sorry- I-I’m so sorry everyone! I… I… d-don’t understand what… I.. I never wanted this to happen…!”
He suddenly falls forward towards the desk, gripping at his sides as he yells out in pain. The veins of magic are still stark on his skin and they start to glow brighter, the skin around them starting to darken and look like it’s covered in ash.
Jackie recognizes the sight of this and he panics, pressing up against the screen. “N-No!”
He looks desperately to Jamie, “J! W-We gotta get to Marvin! I think the magic is killing him!”
Jameson’s eyes widen and he nods, trying to concentrate on a spell to get them to Marvin. It seems like his magic isn’t blocked anymore… but he is a bit drained from the projection he used. Still he focuses as hard as he can, sweat blooming on his brow.
Marvin looks at his corrupting hands and skin with fear, stumbling out of the chair and shaking his head. “No…n-no no no no! W-What’s happening? I-I-!” He shouts out in pain again and this time, grips at the area around one of his eyes, falling to his knees. When he lets go and looks at his shaking hand, blood and black gunk are there- the substances now leaking from his eye. He coughs, black sludge falling from his mouth and he nearly falls over. He heaves and tries to drag himself back to the desk-
His brothers were watching right? They had to be… otherwise they wouldn’t have reached him like they did!
He claws his way back up the desk and looks back at the camera one last time. He looks panicked and scared as he reaches out towards the screen- as if he can reach his brothers through it.
“H-Help me!!” Marvin sobs, dark smoke leaking out of both corners of his mouth, his entire face cover in pulsing magic.
And then, there’s a flicker of purple power- and the camera gets destroyed, shutting off the livestream.
“No!” Chase shouts, trying to see if he can get the stream back up again. But it’s gone- it’s offline.
“J! C’mon how’s that spell coming??” Jackie cries. Jameson’s knees are shaking as he tries to finish the spell.
Then, something grabs his leg, startling him. Anti is grabbing him, gritting his teeth as he supplies the gentleman with some of his own power.
“Grab onto the oldtimer, now!” He calls out, “Let’s go save Kit Kat before he kills all of us!”
The others rush to grab onto Jamie as Anti glitches them away to Jack’s studio.
Marvin has collapsed to the ground, holding himself up on his elbows as he coughs and shakes, the corruption still trying to eat him alive.
He sobs, gripping his fingers into the floor, “I-I didn’t want this…! I-I’m a monster- i-i hurt so many people…!” He closes his eyes and breaks down, “I’m no better than he is…!”
A dark voice giggles in his ear though. It doesn’t sound like the glitch though… it sounds like him- just wrong.
“𝔹𝕦𝕥 𝕝𝕠𝕠𝕜 𝕙𝕠𝕨 𝕡𝕠𝕨𝕖𝕣𝕗𝕦𝕝 𝕪𝕠𝕦’𝕧𝕖 𝕓𝕖𝕔𝕠𝕞𝕖…! ℍ𝕠𝕨 𝕡𝕠𝕨𝕖𝕣𝕗𝕦𝕝 𝕨𝕖’𝕧𝕖 𝕓𝕖𝕔𝕠𝕞𝕖… 𝔼𝕧𝕖𝕟 𝔸𝕟𝕥𝕚 𝕔𝕠𝕦𝕝𝕕𝕟’𝕥 𝕔𝕠𝕟𝕥𝕣𝕠𝕝 𝕒𝕝𝕝 𝕥𝕙𝕖 𝕡𝕖𝕠𝕡𝕝𝕖 𝕪𝕠𝕦 𝕕𝕚𝕕! 𝕐𝕠𝕦 𝕕𝕠𝕟’𝕥 𝕟𝕖𝕖𝕕 𝕥𝕙𝕖𝕞… 𝕒𝕟𝕪 𝕠𝕗 𝕥𝕙𝕖𝕞. 𝕐𝕠𝕦𝕣 𝕓𝕣𝕠𝕥𝕙𝕖𝕣𝕤, 𝕥𝕙𝕖 𝕘𝕝𝕚𝕥𝕔𝕙- 𝕪𝕠𝕦𝕣 𝕔𝕣𝕖𝕒𝕥𝕠𝕣. 𝕐𝕠𝕦 𝕔𝕒𝕟 𝕗𝕒𝕣 𝕤𝕦𝕣𝕡𝕒𝕤𝕤 𝕥𝕙𝕖𝕞 𝕒𝕝𝕝!”
Marvin shudders, trying to shake off the voice. But, it’s echoing all around him, fogging up his thoughts in black smoke.
“N-No! No I… I don’t-”
The voice shushes him, it’s voice charismatic and smooth. Easy to listen to.
“𝔻𝕠𝕟’𝕥 𝕨𝕠𝕣𝕣𝕪 𝕒𝕓𝕠𝕦𝕥 𝕒 𝕥𝕙𝕟𝕘, 𝕄𝕒𝕣𝕧𝕪… 𝕛𝕦𝕤𝕥 𝕝𝕖𝕥 𝕘𝕠. 𝕁𝕦𝕤𝕥 𝕘𝕚𝕧𝕖 𝕚𝕟… 𝕒𝕟𝕕 𝕀’𝕝𝕝 𝕥𝕒𝕜𝕖 𝕔𝕒𝕣𝕖 𝕠𝕗 𝕥𝕙𝕖 𝕣𝕖𝕤𝕥~!”
Marvin feels his heart drop- and then his body starts to feel numb and disconnected from his core. Just like- just like when Anti tried to steal his body. Back in Phantom’s warehouse.
The reality of all of this falls on him like a ton of bricks. All this power… it never was his, was it? It was using him the whole time… just like Anti did. Just like Phantom did.
He was never taking control of his story… he just let himself become a toy once again. Something to be played with and then tossed aside.
Hopeless tears fall down his face as he hangs his head.
“...i-i’m so sorry… Jackie… j-Jamie… hen.. C-chase… i… I never wanted to hurt you…” He whispers heartbrokenly. “I… I just wanted to keep us safe…”
Energy cracks in the air around him as the force of magic inside him takes over more of his body. This… was how he was gonna die? Losing his body to a dark force of magic he helped create…
If he fought harder against Anti… if he never opened that stupid book all those years ago…Maybe- Maybe none of this would have happened…
Marvin can’t feel his legs now and he starts to panic. He looks around the room for something- anything!
His eyes land on Jack’s bed.
The magician quickly tries to drag himself closer to his creator, even if his legs drag behind him- the floor turning black and charred beneath him. He reaches out desperately.
“J-Jack please…!” Marvin sobs, “J-Just this once… h-help me…!” More of his body gets numb as he tries to pull forward and then he crashes onto the floor, wailing. “I-I just wanted to protect my family…! I wanted to make everything right…!” He looks up at Jack’s sleeping face and feels the numbness spread into his heart as it all crashes down on him. Everything he did…
“I… I shouldn’t have been made…!” He whispers, voice choked with tears.
The voice chuckles in his head and whispers like a siren song, “𝕆𝕙 𝕔’𝕞𝕠𝕟 𝕄𝕒𝕣𝕧𝕪… 𝕕𝕠𝕟’𝕥 𝕤𝕒𝕪 𝕥𝕙𝕒𝕥! 𝕀, 𝕗𝕠𝕣 𝕠𝕟𝕖, 𝕒𝕞 𝕤𝕠𝕠𝕠 𝕘𝕝𝕒𝕕 𝕨𝕖 𝕨𝕖𝕣𝕖 𝕞𝕒𝕕𝕖! 𝔹𝕦𝕥… 𝕚𝕥 𝕨𝕚𝕝𝕝 𝕓𝕖 𝕓𝕖𝕥𝕥𝕖𝕣 𝕥𝕙𝕒𝕟 𝕪𝕠𝕦 𝕔𝕠𝕦𝕝𝕕 𝕖𝕧𝕖𝕣 𝕓𝕖~”
Marvin closes his eyes and sobs, curling up on himself.
If he was gonna die… why couldn’t it just be over with already…? …maybe this is what he deserved.
He feels his body start to twitch as the magic takes over- he feels his cheeks start to move without his permission, his mouth grinning without his say so- a mad haunting laughter escaping his lips that’s not his.
But- his hand- it seems to be curling around something in his pocket. Using the last of his strength and a lot of effort fighting through the numbness, he brings it towards his face.
It’s… its the jack doll.
Something then occurs to Marvin.
He lashes out to grab the doll with his other hand- and he starts to push all of his magic into it. No… not just his magic- his life force too.
The voice in his head stops laughing- and now sounds panicked. “𝕎𝕒𝕚𝕥 𝕟𝕠- 𝕨-𝕨𝕙𝕒𝕥 𝕒𝕣𝕖 𝕪𝕠𝕦 𝕕𝕠𝕚𝕟𝕘?!”
“I-I can’t let you take over my body and u-use my magic…!” Marvin grunts out, trying to push his energy out faster. “B-But I can’t die… I can’t let us reform so you can do this again so-!”
His eyes flare blue green as he yells and puts more magic in- his body really starting to lose color- even the veins fading to gray. “I-I’ll give my life b-back to Jack…! He can start over… h-he can make someone new…! Someone better…! And I c-can make sure you won’t hurt anyone ever AGAIN!”
“𝕐-𝕐𝕠𝕦 𝕚𝕕𝕚𝕠𝕥!” The voice cries, “𝕐𝕠𝕦 𝕕𝕠𝕟’𝕥 𝕜𝕟𝕠𝕨 𝕚𝕗 𝕥𝕙𝕒𝕥 𝕨𝕚𝕝𝕝 𝕨𝕠𝕣𝕜! 𝕐𝕠𝕦 𝕞𝕚𝕘𝕙𝕥 𝕛𝕦𝕤𝕥 𝕜𝕚𝕝𝕝 𝕪𝕠𝕦𝕣𝕤𝕖𝕝𝕗 𝕒𝕟𝕪𝕨𝕒𝕪𝕤!”
Marvin laughs bitterly and shakes his head, “m-maybe you’re right… but o-on the off chance this will stop you… s-stop us… then… i-it’s a risk i’m willing to take…!”
He yells as he pushes the last of his life force and magic into the doll- hoping the connection to Jack is enough… maybe it’ll wake him up too. He… he doesn’t know.
But the voice is gone- one last weak scream echoing in his ears before falling silent.
He pants, his whole body trembling as it loses all its color, his eyes starting to turn milky white and glassy. He laughs quietly, bowing his head.
“...make someone good for me… won’t you, Jack?” He whispers, closing his eyes and holding the doll close to his forehead.
Then- the door bursts open.
Jackie, Schneep, Chase and Jameson all pile through the door, looking at Marvin desperately.
“M-Marvin!” Jackie cries out, tears in his eyes.
Marvin stares at disbelief and tries to smile at them, black smoke leaking out of his mouth again- the floor around him looking like a crater hit it.
But then- the light in his eyes fades. And he crashes to the floor with a hollow thud.
The jack doll tumbles out of his hands and stills, blue green magic pulsing in its core.

”slap my face or hold me til winter” always gets to me when listening to unlikely lovers!!!
marvin wants to regress to the past where whizzers health wasnt declining, thus going back to the toxic aspects of their relationship; marvin would rather be hurt by him than to see him hurt.
“hold me ‘til winter” gets me in the feelings especially, since marvin knows whizzer isn’t going to make it, but it’s like he’s trying to convince them both that it won’t end in the way they expect it to. it can also be read as them both being put to rest peacefully, in each others’ arms.
(sorry y’all the old man yaoi is corrupting me 💀)

PJ MASKS AU
Today I finally come to explain my Pj masks AU :D
DARK CRYSTAL AU
The AU can be summed up as:
-Catboy finds out what Owlette did to the ninjalino as Romeo tells him in a mocking manner.
Catboy gets mad at Owlette as she never told him. This causes their relationship to break down. Gekko/Greg tries to help them reconcile, in turn making TOO MANY promises.
-This affects the PJ crystal as the mental health of the three heroes worsens too much. (Due to the fights)
-Connor also had a lot of problems with his mom (he always has) so he turns to SH :(
-As time passes, Amaya and Connor reconcile and it seems that everything is back to normal. But no.
-Romeo had been investigating and used Oskar to be able to have additional information about the crystals (Romeo put a device in Oskar's wound so that he would obey him)
-Romeo discovers that the crystals are stimulated for good and evil according to the maturity and thoughts of their mental health, in addition to being able to be corrupted by some outside force.
-Romeo tries to seek help from the other villains but they just ignore him. Although Night Ninja realizes that Romeo's information is very similar to what his ninjalinos know, so he threatens him not to get close to them.
-Catboy realizes that despite making peace with Owlette, he is still too aggressive, like the time he scratched a ninjalino's cheek just because that ninjalino wanted to escape.
-Octobella, it seems, is slowly dying due to old age, so she intends to leave a "mark" on the heroes so that her name will be recognized.
-Octobella helps Romeo in his plan through a deal. Octobella helps find the outside force to corrupt the crystal PJ and Romeo simply has to use one of Octobella's crystals.
Romeo accepts, blinded by the power.
-The device that Romeo uses for his plan is the "opposite ray" which has a crystal implemented so that the effect is even more negative.
-Romeo starts the plan by making a trap to immobilize Catboy in the museum, and shoots him with the "opposite ray". The effects take a while to appear so Romeo leaves Catboy alone.
-Here everything starts to go wrong. Owlette is forced to be colder and more mature to be able to cope with her sadness. Gecko just wants everything to go back to normal. Night Ninja finds out what Romeo did to his ninjalino and joins the PJ masks to defeat Catboy (Now called Dark Cat, stupid name, I know) Luna also joins the Pj Masks.
-Romeo kept trying to take control of Dark Cat, giving him orders and threatening him. But one night Dark Cat just turns sadistic and takes out Romeo's right eye. Robette finds him dying in the lab.
-From that moment Romeo was forced to join the Pj Masks (even though everyone hates them)
-From there everyone tries to beat Dark Cat. And in the final fight, everyone joins together.
Anyu couldn't fight much since Dark Cat broke her staff and took her to the city.
The ninjalinos were only there to give medical help.
Romeo and Pj Robot stayed at HQ to be able to watch the whole area.
And the others fought
Almost at the end Night Ninja dies💀 (Marvin suffered too much since it was partly his fault)
Luna loses an arm :"(
Owlette loses one of her wings and almost dies when Dark Cat scratched her chest deeply.
Gecko tries to do his best and is the one who knocks Dark Cat unconscious with one of his blows.
Romeo is ordered (by Night Ninja) to break the PJ crystal on the cat side. Romeo (albeit scared) does so and this makes Dark Cat finally return to normal. But he is left with almost no powers, since the cat's power is released and leaves Connor's body.
Romeo (for being near the broken crystal) was hit with all the power and apparently was "chosen" as the new bearer. But Romeo could not bear the transfer and was left in a vegetative state (he is not even conscious, but he is not dead) Pj Robot tries to help him, but to no avail.
That's where the whole problem with this AU ends. Catboy, or rather, Connor is left with only his super speed and can transform with only his feline features. So he's not considered a 100% hero anymore.
The other villains (survivors) decide to retire and start a human life. But the ninjalinos, after losing their boss, take a horrible hatred towards the PJ Masks, mostly Owlette (since according to them, Night Ninja had nothing to do with the problem) so you could say that they become more important villains(? They just do their pranks to force the heroes to be doing their heroic role, without letting them rest.
I forgot to mention that Octobella died when Dark Cat started her rampage, as she had taken his plan for granted.
Owlette's accident
I don't think I explained my AU that well, if you have any questions, please write them in the ask section!

Since I saw many people complaining about Ace Attorney name change or something and that I have way too much time on my hand I present you:
Me showing you the name change in the french version and then re-translating them back to english so you can see the difference in word-play, edition 1 on the first game.
(All characters that are not mentionned are the one who don't have a name change or those that I don't care enough to remember their existence and even less their names, so don't ask me about them)
Now let's get started:
Main:
Miles Edgeworth: Benjamin Hunter, no wordplay here they just changed his name so he wouldn't be too hard to pronounce and remember for french kids. I hate it and love it at the same time.
Dick Gumshoe: Dick Tektiv, wordplay on "détective" which is kind of work but also not since in french this word is almost exclusively use for private detective, not cops.
First Turnabout:
Larry Butz: Paul Defès, wordplay with "poil de fesse" litterally "butt's hair", appropriate and that guy doesn't deserve a better name.
Winston Payne: Victor Boulay, play on "boulet" which is use to describe someone that is so bad and who screw up so much that they're a burden. Kind of like it better than the english one tbh
Frank Sahwit: Frank Khavu, play on "qu'à vu" litterally "saw it".
Second Turnabout:
Marvin Grossberg: Samuel Rosenberg, apparently no word play or joke here. But some people think that giving a name of jewish origin specifically to the corrupt lawyer may be based on anti-semitic stereotype.
April May: Marsha Vrill, play on "Mars-Avril" litterally "March-April".
Third Turnabout:
Wendy Oldbag: Flavie Eïchouette, play on "vieille chouette" a pejorative way to call an older woman which litterally mean "old owl".
Will Powers: Gustavo Lonté, play on "volonté" which is just "will", boring.
Cody Hackins: Kevin Miron, the joke is the name Kevin that's it. But to be more precise at the time the first game was released in France "Kevin" was internet slang who was kind of an insult toward kids spending way too much time online or others immature people lurking in the internet.
Fourth Turnabout:
Lotta Hart: Eva Cozésouci, play on "elle va causer des soucis" meaning "she is going to be trouble", which I find kind of more appropriate. Also not name related but they changed her "southern country accents" by a "Marseille accent" a southern french city whose accent is often mocked. Find it funny that If they're is one thing 'Murican and French share is their love of making fun of southern accents.
Fifth Turnabout:
Mike Meekins: Bill Ballaud, play on "ballot" which mean someone dumb and quite clumsy
Damon Gaunt, Jake Marshall and Angel Starr: useless name change that annoy me, in order: Damien, Alex and Angélique.
Also bonus the blue badger become "le lutin bleu" which in english is something along the line of "blue elf".
I let you decide if this is better or worse...
and if I do that for the rest of the games.

Okay I know I’m late to the party with Falsettos, I have liked it for a while but that’s not the point. Get ready for a wild rant because Pinterest comments sent me off. I have come onto this hellhole to express my opinion on how people view act 1 of the revival, especially the separation of Marvin and Whizzer in views. People view Whizzer as being innocent and just full on abused by Marvin and it really rubs me up the wrong way because Whizzer is a bad person too. That’s the whole point of it, Whizzer admits that he likes to make Marvin annoyed and angry and he likes to fight Marvin which encourages Marvin’s bad behaviour, says that he doesn’t love Marvin and it’s just lust and is a serial cheater throughout their whole relationship and sings about it/implies it a few times. There’s flaws in all of the characters in act 1 and they’re all bad people in different ways, Mendel is a corrupt psychiatrist that directly got involved in his patients life and made it ten times worse, Jason is a problem child who is acting out constantly, Trina is erratic and struggling to keep it together. The whole point of the character development in act 2 is to show that they’ve grown and changed for each other. Everyone acts like act 1 Marvin and act 2 Marvin are completely separate characters and that act 1 Marvin is purely evil and the worst out of them all, I’m not defending any of their actions, they’re all insane in my opinion, but Marvin IS the same character with the same morals and the same personality but he’s just grown as a person and became more likeable and sociable and willing to share his concerns and feelings. But there is no separation of character because of the fact that Whizzer and Trina and Jason and Mendel’s problems aren’t stated outright and spoke up about unlike Marvin’s, who is constantly being (quite hypocritically if you ask me) called out on it while the other characters still stay completely shielded by the consequences of their actions. This is obviously because Marvin is the main character and the protagonist of the musical like he is right down to the first instalment, In Trousers, and his problems are more shown than others. But it isn’t hard to find that the other characters are bad too, it’s kind of just shown without outright saying it. Marvin is a bad person but so is everyone else in act 1 and the point is that they grow and learn to love each other and the life they live in before Whizzer’s death and Marvin’s implied death followed in suit.
TLDR; Stop saying that act 1 condescending and disrespectful Marvin is evil because that means everyone else is evil too and that includes serial cheater Whizzer, corrupt psychiatrist Mendel, psychotic and erratic mother Trina and problem child Jason!

Magicians Don't Need Superheros Pt38
First: Link Prev: Link Next: Link
----------
Marvin’s coughs woke him up, and he was not the biggest fan of how thankful he was that those coughs were dry. After taking a moment to catch his breath, he looked at his hand and saw that there was still a black stain on his palm. Marvin licked his thumb, rubbed the spot, and watched it smudge. Meaning it could be washed off, and it wasn't permanent. His fingertips were also not black anymore, still fairly darker than usual, but were returning to normal.
He groaned as he sat up and looked around, not seeing himself in a bedroom but after putting some pieces together of the bright white room, the constant beeping of machines, and the smell of disinfectant, he realized he was in the Septiceye infirmary. Marvin swallowed the sour taste that still sat on his tongue and found Jackie in one of the other beds. He was still out, not moving, his arm wrapped in a cast, and there was light bruising around his nose.
“Jackie.” Marvin ignored his body’s protest and its pleas for more rest and got out of the bed. He knew the ache in his limbs was nothing compared to what happened to Jackie. His pain would fade soon. When his magic settled, he’d be okay. But Jackie was literally broken. “Jackie?” Marvin crawled into the bed, knowing he couldn’t stand for too long on his own yet. “Jackie…” He just wanted to see Jackie open his eyes, if even for just a second.
“Huh?” Jackie groaned, eyes fluttering. “Marv?”
“Thank God.” Marvin sighed.
“I…I see a light…” Jackie stared off at nothing. Marvin felt his heart jump up into his throat, and that feeling changed when Jackie couldn’t keep a straight face and chuckled.
“Jackie!” Marvin snapped, grabbing one of the pillows on the bed and smacking Jackie with it. “I’m going to break your other arm for that!”
“I’m sorry!” Jackie said between his laughs. “I couldn’t resist!”
“Don’t do that!” Marvin dropped the pillow, hands resting on Jackie’s chest to keep him still.
“Bad joke, I get it.” Jackie chuckled some more.
“Damn it, Jackie,” Marvin grunted, letting himself flop over, face hiding in Jackie’s chest.
“Henrik said I did a pretty good job putting my bone back into place. And that I’ll be fully healed in a few days. Gotta love speed healing.” Jackie noticed Marvin’s hand while he spoke.
“You put your bone back?” Marvin asked, turning his head so he could use Jackie as a pillow. That would explain the second scream and why he passed out.
“Yeah, with how fast I heal, I knew it’d be better to have them lined up as soon as possible so they wouldn’t have to be re-broken to straighten them out,” Jackie explained way too casually, picking up Marvin’s hand to get a better look at his fingers. “You look like Scarlet Witch?”
“What?”
“There’s a point where there’s like Darkhold’s corruption, and her fingers go black from it. Well, she’s not the only one, but she was the first one I thought of.”
“I have no idea what in the world most of that means.” Marvin was happy to hear Jackie talking about comic books or movies or whatever it was…but he was still hurt.
“It’ll make sense eventually. We're about to get to her solo stuff with our Marvel watching.” Jackie let Marvin’s hand go and he tilted his head, seeing Marvin’s face again. “Are you okay?”
“You scared me.” Marvin’s voice came out as a whisper. “You can’t-You can’t do that ever again. You’re not allowed-you’re not allowed getting hurt like that again.” His words came out shaky, trying his best to not sound too upset, but that image of Jackie on the ground kept showing up in his head, and he felt those tears forming once more.
“I’m sorry.” Jackie wrapped his arms around Marvin, resting his braced arm on the top. “I’m sorry.” He repeated as he held Marvin tighter.
“Just…don’t, okay? Don’t get hurt anymore.” Marvin knew it was a stupid request, one that Jackie could never actually follow. Fighting or not, things happen, and getting hurt is just a part of life.
“I’m sorry.” Jackie couldn’t think of anything else to say. He did end up making a promise, but it wasn’t one to keep himself safe; it was to keep Marvin safe. Seeing him so sad caused a burning ache in his chest. The sorrow on his face felt worse than his arm breaking. He’d keep Marvin away from the mess, from the pain. He’ll take care of this. He’ll make sure they can go back to how things were before.
“Stop saying that, or I’m biting you,” Marvin grumbled.
“You’re going to bite my chest?”
“Don’t try me. I will.”
“Alright, alright, I’ll stop saying it.” Jackie chuckled.
He was definitely going to keep Marvin away from Night.
x~x~x
Marvin felt like he wouldn’t be able to sleep tonight with the number of times he’s dozed off. Although, doctor’s orders tend to be rest, so it'd work out. He groaned and stretched, pausing when he found himself alone in the bed again. Marvin could have sworn he and Jackie had fallen asleep in the hug. Did Jackie wake up first? Was Marvin that tired? Shouldn’t Jackie be the one still in bed?
“Jackie?” Marvin called out as he got up. Checking his hands again he saw that his fingers were nearly back to their usual shade. “Jackie?” He called again as he stepped out of the infirmary.
“I told all of you this was going to happen!” Dark’s voice spoke harshly from the living room. “Why do all of you Septiceyes lack patience!?”
“Barging in and yelling at everyone isn’t going to fix anything.” Robbie groaned. Marvin hadn’t checked if Robbie had changed that morning, but him being a grown adult told him all he needed.
“I tried telling him that,” Wilford said with a click of his tongue. Thankfully, the only guests they had were those two, or at least that's who Marvin could see.
“Have you seen Jackie?” Marvin stopped the arguing with his question.
“Marvin? What are you doing up?” Henrik rushed over, asking his own questions. “And what do you mean where is Jackie? He should be resting in the infirmary as well. You two were asleep the last time I checked on you.”
“He’s not in there,” Marvin stated.
“Mother fucker.” Henrik cursed and went to Chase.
“He asked me for Night's tracker.” Anti stood next to Marvin and spoke softly. “Told him no since I just saved you two. I'm not his babysitter, so when he took off, I didn’t stop him.”
“You didn’t stop him?” Marvin hissed through his teeth.
“Because getting into a fight with a man with a cast is great for the soul.” Anti scoffed, and after a quick pause, he sighed. “He won’t listen to me. It would have just been a waste of time, and everyone would get even more pissed and upset and...” He pulled his phone out and placed it in Marvin’s hand. “You shits annoy me, and I don’t feel like dealing with it.” Anti scrunched his nose, tone sounding off like he was forcing the snark. “Go get him.” He stepped away, walking into the center of the group, and then loudly slapped Dark’s rear.
“What in the world!?” Dark snapped while Wilford laughed hard enough that he had to hold his stomach.
“Wanted to check if your head was still in there.” Anti shrugged.
“Really, dude? Is now the time for that?” Chase said, and then voices started overlapping as the arguing got stirred up once more. Marvin looked at the phone, seeing what looked like a GPS and a blinking red light.
The light was labeled as ‘Jackie’.
“You are a very confusing man,” Marvin said toward Anti, knowing he wasnt heard, and he took off while the others were distracted.

Phantom Headcanons
He’s a demon. Well, originally an angel that fell from Heaven, but over thousands of years he’s since become a demon
He finds humans extremely fascinating
Phantom, as a demon, does make deals with humans so they get something they want and in return he gets their soul
Willing to be flirtatious and “comfort” someone if it helps him manipulate them to get their soul (he could care less about them)
Most people will sign their contract immediately, since it’s the only thing keeping them from what they want the most
They don’t even consider the consequences of what selling their soul to a demon will do to them
Phantom usually lets them have a month or two of freedom. Then they have to fulfill their side of the contract
Randomly they’ll get teleported to his office (when they’re awake, not when they’re asleep) and then that’s when he actually takes their soul
It’s a painful process for those that have committed many sins in their life, but for those that made a deal with him to better/save the life/lives of others, it isn’t as painful
Phantom may be cruel but he isn’t a monster
As much as he hates it, he can still feel sympathy to those who didn’t commit many/any sins who make deals with him. As an angel, it sort of pains him to do that to a pure soul, but as a demon, it thrills and excites him, corrupting it and twisting it to his liking
After their soul is taken from them and added to his collection, the soulless person becomes essentially mindless. Not really zombie-like, but not fully thinking. They can pretty much only do what Phantom wants them to do
No thoughts, no feelings, just obedience
Phantom can also make deals with someone for half or at least part of their soul (he only does this if he thinks that having them non-mindless will help him later)
An example of a deal of this type would be Phantom’s deal with Marvin the Magnificent (this is part of my Marvin’s backstory)
Phantom does still have his wings from when he was an angel, but chooses to hide them the majority of the time
They’re dark red with some gold and black feathers
They’re also quite sensitive so he never lets anyone touch them, not unless he trusts whoever it is a lot
Phantom’s power actually doesn’t directly come from the souls in his collection, those just give him more power (and pretty much gives him a high when he gets a new one)
His power comes from being a demon/former angel, and souls just amplify his powers
Some of his powers are teleportation, controlling shadows, controlling fire and doing magic
His cane is purely for aesthetic (although he can use it as a conduit for his powers + trap souls in it as seen in the music video)
When he’s angry his eyes can glow red, but this also happens pretty much any time he experiences a very intense emotion - mainly anger
He likes snakes
Bibles explode/burst into flames if they get within a foot of him

Do you have TMA JSEgos ideas for all the egos?
YES I DO
Chase-
Affiliation with The Eye, in terms that he'd make a good Eye Avatar as well as the fact that he'd be a victim of it as well, everything that was shown in AF:CB was so unbelievably Eye Coded its unreal. I do think there would be some connection that could be made with The Lonely (for obvious reasons) The Buried (the idea of him being confined to a small room for days on end, and how suffocating it must feel to be in his position) and also The Desolation- with his greatest pain at the moment is him still actively grieving the loss of his family and how his life has been destroyed because of it.
JJ-
This mother fucker is so Web coded it's unreal. We have no idea what role JJ plays, whether he's a puppet or puppet master or both, and part of me thinks that JJ likes to keep it that way. I can see JJ being manipulative in the same way Martin is? It's all through surface level kindness, people pleasing and hiding his true feelings on a person, whether or not this is intentional is something I think should be completely left ambiguous.
Marvin -
Similar to Chase, I think Marvin has the potential for being extremely Eye Coded, but he goes about it in a very different way. Arguably he's more Eye Coded than Chase is in some ways- But I do also think that it could be a thing that he's equal parts Desolation and Eye, maybe with elements of The Hunt. He will hunt down the answers he craves that he's almost hungry for- and it will destroy him in the process, but he can't turn away from it.
Jackie -
This may be a teeny bit controversial since I've seen a few people say Jackie would be The Hunt or The Desolation- (which I don't entirely disagree with) but I think Jackie would be The Lonely and The Vast by far. The work of a hero is inherently an isolating one, there's no one Jackie can really go too for advice or who would understand even without the whole "needing to keep a secret identity" thing- and that's not even including that it doesn't really seem Jackie has too many people he can rely on ? Jackie's story also features space and the universe a lot and it's clear that he's very interested in it, he doesn't fear heights or falling, he embraces it even. Honestly, if he weren't poor he'd be prime for being a Fairchild.
Henrik -
I have so many different takes on what Henrik could be it's kinda insane but fuck it we ball. So first thing that comes to mind is The Spiral, due to the whole Mad Scientist trope Henrik seems to be based on and the whole Wonderland episode (iykyk) is very Henrik coded imo. However, there are also elements of The Corruption here? Where Henrik's manifestation of Anti could be a growing sickness - but this seems more like Henrik would be a victim of it than being an Avatar. Also I hear you out when it comes to Henrik being Not!Themed and I love the idea so fucking much like I really do and I can fully see that being a thing.
So my general idea is that Henrik had elements of The Spiral, maybe was affected by it in some way and maybe had a run in or two with The Corruption, before ultimately dying and being replaced by The Not!Them, leaving us as the viewers being the only ones noticing the change but not being able to do anything about it.
Anti -
I have a love-hate relationship when talking about Anti in terms of TMA avatar for him. But my general idea is that he is all of them. He's the manifestation of fear and can shift and change himself to whatever he's targeting to affect them in the worst way possible. I guess naturally he'll have more connection with the Eye to be able to do that but yeah.
I do have more thoughts which I might put in a reblog but I can't lie it's 4.33 AM and I am not thinking cohesively so I hope this works for the time being

Turnabout Sisters (1-2)
The end of an era, the beginning of a new one, and a family torn apart: welcome to Turnabout Sisters.
Turnabout Sisters (1-2) is the second case in Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney and the first case with an investigation segment, as well as the first case written for the series. Phoenix is suddenly plunged into the deep end after Mia is murdered: the defendant is her own little sister, Maya. When Phoenix takes her defense, however, he crosses paths with somebody he never really expected to see again, a battle for the law itself, and a murderer who has their thumb on the pulse of the courtroom. Does Turnabout Sisters start off the new era with a bang, or does it bring it in with a whimper?
THE CORE CAST:
Phoenix Wright: With a single victory under his belt (as well as a single trial), Phoenix is left in a sticky situation after finding Mia's body in their office.
Maya Fey: Mia's younger sister and a spirit medium in training, apparently. While we don't see much of her in this case, she's still a standout!
Mia Fey: Mia has met her untimely end. The one who did it? All signs are pointing to her younger sister, but there may be more than meets the eye... for both Maya and Mia.
Miles Edgeworth: Undefeated, unscrupulous, and undeterred, the Demon Prosecutor is feared throughout the legal world: and for good reason.
Dick Gumshoe: A detective from the local precinct who works with Edgeworth in most of his cases. While he's not the best at his job, he has a real gumption and drive that makes it hard not to love him.
THE MAIN CAST:
April May: A flirty patron of the Gatewater Hotel, April May is one of the key witnesses to Mia's murder and plays at being far more dangerous than she lets on.
Redd White: The CEO of Bluecorp: a corrupt businessman who makes money by blackmailing society's... "finest". Certainly not the kind of guy you'd want to meet alone.
THE SECONDARY CAST:
Marvin Grossberg: A defense attorney of some renown, and lots of money, who seems to be obsessed with lemons. While he doesn't play an important role in this case, there may be more to him than meets the eye...
Bellboy: An unnamed bellboy employed by the Gatewater Hotel. Easy to fluster.
A BRIEF RECAP
Mia is talking with Maya on the phone. In their discussion, Mia asks Maya to hold some evidence for her: a clock in the shape of the Thinker. Sound familiar? She says that it's holding papers inside instead of clockwork, and asks her to swing by the office by 9:00 that evening to pick it up. Their conversation is then recorded.
At 8:57 that evening, however, an unexpected guest comes to Mia's door. He demands the papers that Mia is holding in the clock: Mia realizes that she mistepped, and the man brings down the statue on her head. Mia utters her last words... and closes her eyes.
"Red... White... Blue..."
Investigation, Day One
Phoenix is running late to his appointment with Mia: he's supposed to be meeting with her and her sister, Maya, for dinner. When he gets to the office, however, he immediately tells something off: does he smell... blood? Sure enough, when he walks into the next room, he finds Mia laying on the floor in front of the window: and a girl crying over her. Mia is dead! The girl, who he learns is Mia's sister Maya, faints when Phoenix approaches her, and he sets her down on the couch. Mia's body is still warm, and Phoenix feels her body slowly cool down in his hands.
Just before he calls the police, he hears a scream from the next building over! A woman is watching from the window, with a phone to her ear: she's calling the police and they barge into the office, with Detective Dick Gumshoe arresting Maya!
Phoenix goes to the detention center. He wants to represent Maya, but she won't let him: we do get a nice scene where Mia talks about Phoenix to Maya and calls him a genius, though, which is really sweet and probably my favorite scene in this case. She tells Phoenix four things: that she's a spirit medium in training, explaining the getup; that she talked to Mia on the phone the day of her murder, but Detective Gumshoe took it; that Mia was investigating someone named "White"; and that he should contact a lawyer that her sister used to work for, one Marvin Grossberg.
Going back to the Fey and Co. Law Offices, as Grossberg's not in his office, he meets Detective Gumshoe and gets Mia's autopsy report: she died instantly after being hit in the head with a blunt object. If you keep talking to Detective Gumshoe about Mia he'll actually comment on how she commanded a lot of respect from the police force, which is a really nice detail: it plays into a headcanon of mine that won't come up for another three cases, but I digress. Gumshoe tells Phoenix to essentially bugger off, but leaves him with three important bits of info: the witness's name, April May, that she's still in her room, and that the presiding prosecutor is the undefeated Demon Prosecutor himself, Miles Edgeworth.
There's a joke to be made here, but I don't know what it is yet.
April May immediately comes off as suspicious: Phoenix notices, more than anything, that a drawer is open in her room with a blue screwdriver sticking out of it. April gets all sorts of defensive when Phoenix tries to investigate it, which immediately sets off some alarms in Phoenix's head! During the course of their conversation, Phoenix very visibly kind of dumbs himself down when talking to her after April says she likes a man with a big... vocabulary, which is really funny. Phoenix's questions about the crime are shut down quickly by April, and Phoenix eventually gives up and decides to go back to the Grossberg Law Offices. Maybe he's come back by now?
Sure enough, when Phoenix gets there, he's met with a throat-clearing so powerful it could cause an avalanche. It's Mr. Grossberg! When Phoenix brings up Maya, his disposition immediately changes: he immediately claims that he's busy, contradicting himself earlier, and claims that he can't represent Maya tomorrow: but how did he know the trial was tomorrow? Hmm... something's off about this guy! Phoenix tries to press him, but he refuses to budge. Grossberg explains that nobody would take Maya's case: he can't say why, however, and Grossberg attempts to usher him out of his office. When that fails, however, Grossberg explains that Mia worked for him as an understudy. Phoenix eventually leaves, but not before taking note of Grossberg's painting: worth $3 million! Grossberg insists over and over that he'll never part with it, and I just have to wonder if Phoenix's art student senses were tingling here. I wonder if, in a more casual setting, he'd actually discuss this painting with Grossberg.
Moving back to the Detention Center, Maya ultimately agrees for Phoenix to represent her in court after hearing about Grossberg's refusal. Going back to the Gatewater Hotel, it seems that April has left her room! He meets with a Bellboy, delivering room service to May and telling Phoenix an important bit of information: someone named "Mr. White" from Bluecorp has called her. Hm... where have we heard that name before...?
Yo, Mr. White! We gotta kill people, bitch!
Anyways! Investigating the drawer that April wouldn't let us look into earlier, we find a wiretap! Sneaking it into the Court Record, Phoenix catches onto the whiff of a story: claiming that he'll get to Miss May's bottom! No! Uh... you know what he means! Investigation comes to a close...
Trial, Day One
This case is pretty unique: the first day of trial does not begin in the Defendant's Lobby, instead taking us straight to the trial itself. Court is now in session for the trial of Ms. Maya Fey, and the presiding prosecutor...
Behold, the Demon Prosecutor.
Miles Edgeworth makes his debut in this case, and he immediately steals the show. His design alone is immediately eye-catching, and the player's left pretty excited to see what the Demon Prosecutor is all about. His opening statement pretty clearly names Maya as the murderer, and he calls his first witness: Detective Gumshoe.
Laying out the prosecution's case on a floor map of the office, Gumshoe explains that the cause of death was blood loss due to being struck by a blunt object. The murder weapon was indeed The Thinker, "heavy enough to be a murder weapon even in a girl's hands". Edgeworth asks for Gumshoe to testify about why he arrested Maya Fey, and Gumshoe claims to have hard evidence about her guilt. He claims that a witness saw Maya Fey at the moment of the murder, and Phoenix grills him for more information. Notably, Phoenix points out that Gumshoe said that he had "hard evidence": not just a witness, which even Edgeworth backs him up on. Gumshoe tries to play dumb, but the court backs Phoenix up: he claims that May's testimony alone is hardly "hard evidence" and demands that Gumshoe testify about said evidence.
Gumshoe testifies that Mia wrote down Maya's name on a piece of paper before she died. Phoenix presents the autopsy report: how could Mia have written on a piece of paper if she died instantly?! Phoenix feels pretty confident, even as Edgeworth asks him when he received the autopsy report: Phoenix confirms that it was the day after the murder, and Edgeworth infamously states...
"Did Gumfuck not tell you?"
Oh, this fucking asshole. He claims that the autopsy report Phoenix has in his possession is outdated! Interestingly, another case actually confirms that this is the case: and it's genuinely common practice in real life to perform multiple autopsies, to my knowledge. Well played, Edgeworth. Edgeworth raises the possibility that Mia lived for several minutes after the initial blow: enough time to write down the word "Maya" in blood! The record is accepted by the court. Edgeworth takes time to call his next witness: April May.
April May takes the stand. Edgeworth rather suspiciously keeps her profession out of his questioning: the Judge tells May to refrain from wanton winking. May testifies that she saw Maya chase down Mia at 9:00 PM and hit her with The Thinker after Mia dodged to one side, after which Mia slumped down. Phoenix grills May just like he grilled Gumshoe, and notices that her testimony is strange: or, as he puts it, "stinks". He questions the very basis of April's testimony: did she even see Maya?! He calls out that Maya's clothes and hair standout far more than her "mousey" appearance and "girlish physique". May should've noticed those before her appearance!
"Miss May, I'm willing to bet that you saw nothing. Did you really see the defendant at all?!"
May slips out of his grasp, though: she manages to worm her way out of Phoenix's questioning and testifies again, this time in more detail. She claims that Mia dodged to the right, but was then struck by the clock. Wait.
The clock? How in the world did she know it was a clock? Edgeworth objects, claiming that Phoenix's objection is focusing on a meaningless detail. Phoenix retorts that this is exactly how he caught Sawhit: His Honor allows him to continue with his cross-examination! Phoenix continues to question her: how did she know it was a clock? May says she heard it tell the time: but how could she hear it if she wasn't in the Fey and Co. Law Offices?! Edgeworth objects, claiming that since the Gatewater Hotel is so close to the Fey and Co. Law Offices she could've heard it through an open window. Phoenix points out a vital chink in Edgeworth's armor, however: the clock simply could not have rung, since Mia took out the components! Edgeworth questions when the clock's components were taken out. Phoenix plays last Maya's conversation with Mia: this is something Edgeworth was not prepared for, and the for the first time in the trial he's shocked!
And now he's spiraling...
May's panicking now. She claims that she must've seen the clock in a store before, but that's impossible. After all, these were handmade by none other than Larry Butz! May flips out, screaming that Maya committed the murder and should die for it. Phoenix presses his advantage: May knew that it was a clock because she heard that it was from the wiretap she placed on the office's cellphone! Edgeworth desperately tries to salvage his case, claiming that May's wiretapping is irrelevant to the case at hand. His Honor overrules his objection. Edgeworth concedes that even if May was tapping the victim's phone, there's no proof that the victim said it was a clock on the phone! We get a cool sequence where Edgeworth and Phoenix exchange "I THINK NOT!" "I THINK I CAN!" "WHAAAT!?" before Phoenix presents Maya's phone again. He replays the conversation, and Mia said clear as day...
"It's... a clock. It's made to look like that statue, ''The Thinker.' And it tells you the time!"
Everything leads up to one point. Why did Miss May tap the Fey and Co. Law Offices? May claims that she still didn't murder the victim: she was getting room service at 9:00, after all. That gives Phoenix a novel idea. Let's call the Bellboy to testify! Edgeworth objects, claiming that the wiretapping had nothing to do with the murder. Wiretapping is a crime, but there's no proof it was connected to the murder! Edgeworth gives Phoenix an ultimatum. If May's alibi isn't brought into question by the Bellboy's testimony, then Phoenix must accept a guilty verdict. After a moment's deliberation, Phoenix accepts. The Bellboy is called as a witness, but Phoenix can't find a hole in his testimony. As a last resort, Phoenix decides to ask one last question. With this last question, the Bellboy reveals that April May was staying with another person. Phoenix grasps at this with every fiber of his being. There was another person, specifically a man, staying with April May!
It's times like these where I wish there was a genuine sweating animation for Edgeworth like there is for other prosecutors.
The Bellboy reveals that he was specifically asked not to reveal this information by none other than Edgeworth himself! Phoenix says that it's now impossible to judge Maya now that a third person who may be potentially involved! April may have an alibi for the murder... but the man she was staying with doesn't! Edgeworth tries to stop him, but Phoenix reminds the court that Edgeworth tried to hide this from the court! His Honor ultimately agrees with Phoenix, and court is adjourned for the day.
Maya and Phoenix meet in the defendant's lobby. While Maya isn't cleared to go home, Phoenix is sure that this other man is the murderer: he promises to Maya that he'll catch him, no matter what.
Investigation, Day Two
The second day of investigation is rather interesting given that it starts at the Detention Center, not the office. Phoenix is meeting with May after trial, and she immediately flips out when he comes to visit her. Phoenix tries to talk to May about the wiretap and about the man she was staying with, but she refuses to answer his questions. Phoenix gives up, going back to the Fey and Co. Law Offices: some books seem to be missing from the bookshelf. I wonder what could be up with those? Phoenix goes back to Grossberg's office, noticing two things: the painting is missing and there's a set of photos on Grossberg's desk related to something called the "DL-6 Incident". Huh. One of them is a picture of a woman, and the other is a picture of the man from the intro! Could this be our "Mr. White"...? Did Grossberg leave these on purpose for us to find?
Phoenix goes back to the Detention Center to confront April May. Although the man from the photo is definitely the man she was staying with, she refuses to admit it. Going back to the Bellboy, he confirms that he was the man who was staying with April: signing an affidavit to confirm the fact! Going back to April, Phoenix pushes April, threatening to take this photo and this affidavit to the press! She eventually admits that man is her boss: Redd White. A-ha! This is our Mr. White! She tells him that he's the CEO of Bluecorp, an "information gathering" company. Sort of like a detective agency. April tells Phoenix that she's scared to talk: she doesn't want to end up like Mia. He's more than just a witness: he's the murderer! April ultimately decides to betray White, telling Phoenix where Bluecorp is located. It's finally time to get justice for Mia! He goes to Bluecorp to talk to Mr. White, and...
WHATCHA NEEEEEEEEEEEME
Meet Mr. Redd White of Bluecorp: our "Red, White, Blue"! Eccentric is understating this guy! With a loud voice and a louder fashion style whom Phoenix hilariously describes as a "fruitcake", he immediately takes over the conversation. He picks up that Phoenix is a rookie lawyer: it's easy to miss, but this is a hint that he was indeed listening to the wiretap! Remember what Mia said on the phone? She brought up Phoenix!
Redd White immediately tries to throw April under the bus, but Phoenix isn't buying it. He pressures Phoenix to call him to the witness stand, but ominously declares that it would be impossible for him to come to the stand. As Phoenix continues to question White, he finds a weak link: the painting. That's the painting that was in Grossberg's office, wasn't it? Redd White immediately gets Phoenix out of his way, insulting him to his face before punching Phoenix in the face: thrice! Knock it off, you flashy son of a bitch! With all those rings on his hands, it's kind of a miracle he didn't slash Phoenix's face open. White ominously exposits that the police and courts all do his bidding. Interestingly, after White says there's nothing more to discuss, if you examine anything in his office he won't respond.
Whatever. Back to Grossberg's, then. Phoenix hilariously clears his throat to get Grossberg's attention: I kind of wish this was something he did at least once in the later games, but I digress. Grossberg is obviously distressed: he came to the trial, ostensibly to see Maya. He's honest of his pride in Phoenix as Mia's understudy, which is a nice touch. When Phoenix questions him about his refusal to defend Maya, however, Grossberg refuses to talk about it. Phoenix brings up White, however. He proposes that White was blackmailing Grossberg. That's why his painting is missing; that's why Grossberg didn't take Maya's case; that's why Grossberg had a picture of Redd White! Grossberg admits that this is the truth. But what would Grossberg be blackmailed about? Could it be connected to this "DL-6 Incident"?
This is the case. Grossberg spills the beans about the DL-6 Incident. About 15 years ago, a man was murdered in a strange murder case. Out of leads and out of options, the police relied on a spirit medium to solve this case: this medium's name was Misty Fey, and she was Mia and Maya's mother. Misty ultimately couldn't name the murderer: although she could connect with the man's spirit, the person he named as the murderer walked free. DL-6 remains a cold case to this day. Marvin Grossberg was approached by Redd White with an offer. "Exposit to me about this medium the police force contacted," White presumably said, "and I shall deposit upon you as much money as you desire." Grossberg, falling to avarice, ultimately accepted. He defended Misty to the best of his ability and cleared her of suspicion, but she decided to impose exile upon herself. Grossberg tells Phoenix to look into Mia's office: he finds a record on Misty detailing her self-exile (where she calls White a "parasite", yeowch!), a list of suicides that Mia tied back to White, and notices that the entire "W" section of her files is missing. That list of suicides is exactly what he's looking for!
Going back to Bluecorp, he confronts White. White threatens Phoenix, saying that an unfortunate "accident" may be in his future, but Phoenix doesn't back down. White then contacts the Chief Prosecutor himself! He makes a bodacious claim: that Phoenix is the one who murdered Mia! Maya goes to see Phoenix after he's arrested, and she agrees to stand by his side in court. Investigation ends, and we enter the final day of this case!
Interestingly, in the initial release Phoenix says "It's the beginning of a new century..." instead of "Times may change..." in his outro monologue.
Trial, Day Two
Going into the next day, Phoenix is ready to defend himself. Edgeworth meets Phoenix and Maya in the defendant's lobby, where Phoenix oddly claims that Edgeworth has "changed". Did he know him in the past?
In any case, court opens for session. Phoenix takes the defense's bench and the defendant's seat, and Edgeworth calls White to the stand. It's the final battle! In my personal favorite running bit of the trilogy, Edgeworth can't quite get Redd White to tell the court his name. Introducing himself as Redd White, or as his friends call him Blanco Nino (White Boy), and tells Phoenix to make his peace with God.
White testifies that he saw Phoenix murder Mia at 9:00. He was reading when he looked out the window after a commotion: he saw Phoenix chase Mia to the left and hit her. Phoenix immediately notices that Mia wouldn't have been running to the left. May said that she was running the right! White counters by claiming that Phoenix simply misheard her. That's impossible. After all, the door to the offices was to her right! White is sure that he saw Mia run to the left, though. Phoenix deduces that both White and May are telling the truth. How? Mia indeed ran to White's left: because he was standing in front of her when he attacked her!
Exactly, Edgeworth!
Mr. White gives another testimony, saying that Mia was attacked twice: she ran to the left at first, then she ran to the right. Phoenix points out that she was hit only once! Edgeworth tries to stop White from talking, requesting a 10 minute recess. The court's audience, however, doesn't want the recess! They're fully on Phoenix's side: they want White to face justice! White testifies again, claiming that Mia dodged to the left. He claims to have seen a glass light stand lying on the floor, claiming that he heard it fall: but he couldn't have seen the light stand, since it wasn't visible from the window! Mr. White freaks out and slams his head into the witness stand. At long last, it seems to finally be over.
Until Edgeworth objects! He tells White to confess his crime: that he was the one who placed the wiretap, not April! He "admits" that he broke into the Fey and Co. Law Offices, and that is when he saw the glass light stand. He can't pierce through this argument. Phoenix admits defeat, until...
Guess who's back, guess who's back, guess who's back, na-na-na...
Phoenix blacks out and a recess is called. It turns out that the shock of seeing Phoenix accept defeat activated Maya's spiritual powers! She's channeling Mia's spirit, and Mia tells Phoenix to flip over the receipt that Maya's name was written on. White couldn't have seen the light stand at the beginning of September like he claimed. After all, Mia only bought the light stand on the day before the murder! As court reconvenes, Phoenix tears apart White's new testimony with this fact. Edgeworth claims that Phoenix's evidence may not be factual: he requests another day of investigation! Mia demands that the witness stays, however, and gives Phoenix a list. It is a list of all the people that White has blackmailed. People in finance. Celebrities. Politicians. Policemen.
Redd White interrupts him! Mia tells Redd White to admit the truth or the list will be given to the press. Finally defeated, Redd White admits that he killed Mia.
After the trial of Phoenix Wright ends, he and Maya meet at the Fey and Co. Law Offices. With Mia's spiritual blessing, he and Maya officially become business partners. Maya takes to calling Phoenix "Nick", and they agree to go out for burgers. The Wright and Co. Law Offices are born, ending Turnabout Sisters!
What Really Happened?
Just under fifteen years ago, circa 2002, a man was murdered in the so-called "DL-6 Incident". Although he named his killer, the defendant was found innocent. Marvin Grossberg, who was the boss of the lawyer who represented this man, fed information to Redd White about the police force needing to use a spirit medium after being paid a hefty sum: this medium's name was Misty Fey, and she was Mia and Maya's mother. Redd White leaked this information to the press, causing the medium to exile herself in disgrace and the Fey family name to be tarnished. The police began to search for the leaker. Out of fear of exposure, Redd White blackmailed Grossberg to keep quiet: if he told the police that White had leaked the information, White would tell everybody that Grossberg gave it to him! A few years later, seeking revenge for her mother's disgrace and also to find out the truth of the incident that cost her mother's reputation, Mia Fey decided to become a lawyer. She ended up working for Grossberg: it's left ambiguous whether she knew he was the one who had ruined her mother's life or not.
In any case, she began to build up evidence against the man who leaked this information to the press: Redd White, the CEO of an "intelligence gathering" company called Bluecorp and a serial blackmailer. Redd White eventually learned of Fey's investigation and ordered April May to tap the office's phone, learning that she was storing evidence against him in a clock made to look like The Thinker. He broke into the Fey and Co. Law Offices and murdered Mia, stealing the evidence and making it so that her sister Maya would be arrested for the crime: writing Maya's name on a piece of paper, making April May "witness" Maya killing her, and when that failed in court accusing Phoenix of being Mia's murderer. Mia's list of White's blackmail victims ultimately proved to be his undoing, however, and White tearfully confesses on the stand after hours of cross-examination that he killed Mia with The Thinker.
THOUGHTS
1-2 is popular in the fandom, and this shall (probably) be my first hot take of the blog: I don't think it's particularly good. I don't think it's downright bad, but good? Eh, I think that's a little much. 1-2 suffers from pacing issues, especially in the second day of trial (which I believe is the weakest of the game), and definitely requires some suspension of disbelief, especially in the second act: "why didn't Phoenix flip over the receipt earlier?" being the big one. I can't be the only one that turns over every piece of paper I find, right? I also think that the mystery is made a little too obvious but the game artificially ups the difficulty: keeping in mind, of course, that the mystery isn't "who killed Mia" but instead "how do we catch White". I also think that Redd White's potential is wasted. He could've been set up as this really intimidating and really powerful villain, but outside of a few throwaway lines insinuating he has control over the judicial system and the Chief Prosecutor answering to him (as well as taking his claims at face value) there's... little else, at least for me. White isn't very intimidating, nor is his role in one of the trilogy's most critical pieces of lore (that being DL-6) ever really brought up again. He's kind of a pushover, honestly: in Investigation Day 2 he's good, but once he shows up for trial he's not much to scoff at.
Turnabout Sisters does have one thing going for it that I think it has over other cases though: the little details. It's a really good example of Ace Attorney's minor bits of writing at their finest. Stuff like being able to go with different paths of conversation when talking to people, extra details being added when you choose conversation topics after exhausting the initial conversation, Phoenix talking under his breath (he calls Grossberg a "creep", which got a good chuckle out of me), that sort of thing. It does suffer from being a bit below average in comparison to the rest of the game's writing like 1-1, with one of 1-2's biggest flaws being Phoenix openly monologuing to the player on multiple occasions and characters like Edgeworth wearing their motivations on their sleeves, but 1-2 is an early case so I'm perfectly fine with brushing the less egregious parts off. It sets up some important parts of Phoenix and Maya's characterizations, such as Phoenix's unshaking belief in his clients and Maya's love for her sister and trust in Phoenix, which is where it shines! Maya is immediately enjoyable and seeing Phoenix out of his element is always a blast, and 1-2 does it very well at times. As a history buff and someone who planned to major in history, I also like the historical nods as well: the Gatewater Hotel is very obviously based off of the Watergate incident, a political scandal in 1972 that ultimately led to the resignation of President Richard Nixon in 1974 and the inauguration of Vice President Gerald Ford after the 1972 Republican election campaign's fundraising organization, the Committee to Re-Elect the President, was found wiretapping the Democratic National Convention and sabotaging the 1972 Democratic presidential campaign of George McGovern.
As the series' first foray into investigation days, it's got a lot going for it. Its visual clues are very obvious, but that makes sense for an investigation tutorial: and it's honestly something I rather appreciate! Ace Attorney at its core is a mystery series, after all, and clues are the lynchpins of a good mystery: if you don't have good clues, you don't have a good mystery, and good clues need to be easy to find but not too obvious. While I think Turnabout Sisters leans more towards the clues being a bit too obvious, it does manage to find a balance that I think is perfectly serviceable: especially for the series' first investigation. Maya and Phoenix's relationship takes the cake for this case's strengths, and the second day of trial brings it down more than anything. Again: I really would've liked to see White fleshed out more. Once trial comes he feels more like a pushover than a serious threat.
Overall, I do like Turnabout Sisters. It's not a particularly good case, but it has a special place in my heart and I really like the little details it takes care to set up. Quality-wise, though, I can't say it's anything extraordinary: it's a perfectly average mystery which is carried by its emotional beats and some parts of its writing more than anything. In my opinion, this is the defining middle-of-the-road Ace Attorney case. It's not bad, but it's not good. Next time, we'll be covering Turnabout Samurai: a murder at a film studio, Maya outing herself as a total weeb, and an actor's life on the line! See you then!
Final Rating: 5/10

Kenny being connected to Jesus is an interesting theory because in Bigger Longer And Uncut he was one of the only people to make it imto heaven. And in Best Friends Forever he was chosen by God himself to lead an army of angels against hell. And in Starvin Marvin Stuart claims while praying that God hates him and his family. And in christianity there is frequently talk about how Jesus was born into humble origins and spent his time on earth with oridinary people and openly hated tax collectors and claimed that rich people would not make it into heaven.
Now I kinda wish it was canon. But then again Kenny being of eldritch origin proves that he can be anything. He can be an angel who risked eternal damnation to save the world, or he can be a creature from anlther dimension and have connections to a deity whose face is made out of tentacles. And the fact that Karen calls him Guardian Angel while he's donning his 'edgy' persona? That's just beautiful
Ha yes. Along with a few others a friend of mine in the fandom for awhile had Kenny being related or connected to Jesus in someway. Esp with the dying and resurrecting bit and you're right there was an actual canon event/episode where God himself apparently asked for Kenny's help against the Legions of Hell via his PSP. And let's not forget him being able to negotiate with Satan about not taking over the world. So he very well could have had a holy supernatural connection. Ha since the whole Mysterion Trilogy though the same friend and I had both agreed it's a more interesting concept to have Kenny being connected more with a deity associated with darkness. I feel it gives him an inner Eldritch demon side to possibly have to confront and control over. Something he'd have to possibly fear of becoming if he's not too careful. Ha something for other people to also possibly fear or try to push away if they ever realized what he ws, It's something I don't see him ever being able to get rid of or completely ignore it. So he'll have to learn to deal with it...so yes ha he's sort of like a being of darkness with a soul of light or something? Ha…like someone expected to be demonic and evil but his heart is always set to doing the right thing….yet he could very easily get corrupted yet someone I can see having the strength and will to fight it as well and possibly win in the end. So he can come with angel/devil wings or he can come with tentacles(maybe both? that'd be a pretty cool concept...maybe with crow/raven wings..? I digress XD) but we and Karen will always see him as a Guardian Angel.
#South Park#Kenny McCormick#SP Fan Theories/Concepts#ha have this very deep Kenny lore essay XDD#he can be your Cthulhian Eldritch Demon or your Golden Guardian Angel boi come to rescue you....maybe most possibly a strange hybrid of bot#man something I wish canon would explore more so badly guess fanon will have to do it ourselves. XD

Bad Day at Black Rock is a 1955 neo-Western film directed by John Sturges with screenplay by Millard Kaufman (the creator of Mr. Magoo).

It stars Spencer Tracy and Robert Ryan with support from Anne Francis, Dean Jagger, Walter Brennan, John Ericson, Ernest Borgnine and Lee Marvin.

In the plot, a one-armed stranger comes to a small desert town in 1945, and uncovers a secret that has corrupted the entire community.

The film was a key reference for the design of the 2023 Wes Anderson film Asteroid City.

"Generally, we were looking at ‘Black Rock’ for overall how the town’s [located] in the landscape," confirmed designer Adam Stockhausen. "But also we’d go in and look at tiny details, too. How the tar paper was nailed to the roof of the gas station, and we ended up using it for the way we wrapped the tar paper around the motel cabins. Or the cafe when we took several little detailed pieces for the back counter of the luncheonette straight from there".
