Wait can I ask for a second??? Bc I NEED some Sirius/Fudge angst/darkfic.
Can you?? Yes! Absolutely! Should you have?? Uh...
Here we go...
Cornelius trudges into his office, leaden with exhaustion. He shrugs off his outer cloak and rolls his aching neck. Something shifts in his peripherals. He's seized with a familiar panic, the sort that seems to linger just beneath his skin these days. But this time, it's warranted.
Because sprawled across his chair, legs dangling artfully off the side, is his haunted memories and recurring nightmares made flesh.
"Hello Niels." Sirius Black surveys him mercilessly, stormy grey eyes hardened to cold steel. "My, my, someone's aged poorly. Difficult twelve years, darling?"
He gapes helplessly. He'd already beheld Sirius's gaunt, wasted form in Azkaban, but now, against the backdrop of his office, the golden light contrasting his bluish skin...
"Go on then." Sirius stands, inked and skeletal, an eerie echo of elegance and beauty. "Tell me how I look. Your beautiful boy who you left to rot."
Sirius grabs his jaw and forces him to look at him, his former lover, his pretty, dirty little secret, the one thing standing in his way of his political ambitions. Cornelius whimpers, "What do you want?"

Imagine this... you're coming back from work all sweaty and you head to the kitchen to warm up a corndog, le sigh! But, you hear a noise coming from your bedroom. "Oh Croaker! Me and Joker have a surprise for you!" you hear the iconic nasally voice of Kermit say, then you can hear Joker's iconic manically sharp laughter that's beloved by many, you stand up and sprint to your bedroom door, you see rose petals on the ground and through the closed door you can tell the candle light emerging, placing your hand on the door handle and twisting, you see none other but Kermit and Joker in lingerie, Kermit in a calming olive green floral lingerie, while Joker in a bold dark purple that was see through and a mini skirt with fishnets. Both laying on your bed sensually and signaling to you to come to the bed with the sweet warm vanilla sugar candles from bath and body works lit up and roses scattered on the white sheets of the bed, immediately when you try to step to them, you see your old roommate Athena breaking through the window and grabbing the candle and lighter fluid she brought along and poured it on both Kermit and Joker and fucking threw the candle at them and you watch Kermit and the Joker light up in flames and melting, Athena then stares at you and points saying, "You have removed Gerald Way from me! This is what you deserve!" and then jumps out a window (not the one she jumped through from but another one to simply just inconvenience you and make you have to pay for two broken windows.) and you stand there watching your two lovers burn alive calling for your help, yet you can't help but stare and freeze, you can' save them anymore and you know that but they're screaming bloody murder. Sad!
I'm going to give birth to you with my slimed up Muppet Hole and then raise you with the distinct feeling that you are unloved and unworthy so that you forever struggle to form meaningful conections you baka homosexual

The light from the early, Saturday morning sun filtered into your bedroom through half-opened blinds, illuminating tiny specks of dust in the air. It was warm with Aegon pressed against your back; his soft breaths fanning over your shoulder. You stirred softly, turning so that you were facing him, doing your absolute best to not disturb him so that he could continue to sleep in.
It broke your heart to look at him now, knowing that your relationship was hanging by a thread. Wondering how you got here, how you arrived at the platform of whatever these feelings were that you felt for him. Caught between the memories of what you had once before, and feeling as if you were in this bed alone, despite the fact that he was laying right next to you.
You moved, swinging your feet over the side of the bed as you stood up with a sigh. Aegon groaned, his arms reaching for you before turning back over on his stomach and going right back to sleep. His wavy, golden hair splayed out on the pillows as he shifted deeper into them. The duvet pulled down, exposing his freckled shoulders. It took everything in you not to reach out and touch him.
Even your fingers balled into a fist, nails digging into your palm to keep yourself from it. Why? You'd wind up disappointed, feeling unwanted, and he'd be annoyed that you woke him.
The thought made you want to cry.
It was around noon when he finally emerged from the bedroom. You had lost track of how long you'd been sitting at the kitchen table; a bagel untouched on the plate in front of you. You jumped slightly at the feeling of his hand on the back of your neck, just briefly touching you as he made his way to the coffee maker. It was a fleeting moment, his fingertips leaving you just as quickly as they came.
He was in a white t-shirt and a pair of boxers. Despite his disheveled appearance, he looked close to angelic- even with the dark circles under his clouded, blue eyes. You could hear him inhale and exhale heavily with his first sip of coffee; shoulders rising and falling with his breath.
When did it become this way? This silence?
You used to look forward to Saturday mornings; knowing that you had two full days with him to yourself. You'd spend every weekend tangled on the couch or in the bed, not getting up unless you absolutely needed to. Weekends in the summer were always fun, too. He'd always find something for the two of you to do; getting high at the beach, spending your days at Coney eating corndogs and funnel cake until you wanted to throw up or throw yourselves right off the end of the pier. You missed his ice cream cone kisses and the way he would lay his head in your lap as you would read whatever novel you had brought with you that day.
"Colleen Hoover," you whispered to yourself as you absentmindedly stirred your lukewarm coffee; the last book you remember reading on a beach towel under the hot, July sun.
"What was that?" Aegon asked, turning to face you.
You were broken out of your trance and looked up at him. "What?"
"I think you went somewhere," a goofy smile replaced his signature pout. When you didn't say anything, his smile faltered. "Did you sleep okay?"
"Mm," you hummed and took a sip of your coffee before making a face. It was definitely lukewarm- cold, even. "So, awards ceremony tonight, huh?"
Aegon rolled his eyes, "If I could just not, I would not."
You stood up and dumped your cold coffee down the drain and sat your cup in the sink. "But babe," you sighed softly and reached for him, wrapping your arms around his shoulders. "Look at everything you've accomplished, what you've become! You've worked so hard!"
His eyes were glued to the floor. "You're right," his lips turned up into a smile as he looked up at you through fair lashes. His hands caressed the skin on the back of your arms. "I've worked really hard, and soon it will all pay off and we'll buy a house and get a dog." His forehead pressed against yours as he sighed. His eyes fluttered shut. "A golden retriever, we'll name him Sunny."
"Sunny sounds like he's a really good boy," you whispered and moved to place a kiss on his lips.
"The best," his body became less tense.
You smiled as you stood like that for a moment, just swaying back and forth as he held you so close that you could feel his heartbeat. He was so warm in your arms that you felt like you were holding onto a piece of the sun. You turned your head to place a kiss on the side of his neck, lips brushing the soft skin under his ear, wanting nothing but to tell him that you loved him, that you missed him, that you wanted things to go back to the way they were. But your eyes fluttered open as you heard his phone vibrate on the counter, the moment instantly shattering to bring you back to the reality of your mediocre life. Aegon tensed, his head falling to your shoulder as he groaned in annoyance.
"And so it begins," he mumbled. He let the phone ring, knowing that Otto would call back immediately after it went to voicemail.
Before he could leave the kitchen, you stopped him.
"Hey, would you mind if I invited Aemond to go bowling with us tonight?" You asked, gnawing on the inside of your cheek.
"Not at all," he shrugged. "It'd probably be good for him to get out. Let me see what this fucker wants and then I'll text you his number."
Aegon left shortly after, having been summoned to some "pre-ceremony conference" just to finalize the details of the evening. He had sent over Aemond's contact information before he left, promising that he would see you later tonight. Suddenly you found yourself alone, the silence sitting with you like a friend that you'd run out of things to talk about with.
You stared at your phone for what felt like hours, thumbs hovering over the keyboard; not sure why 'hey, did you really want to go bowling' was such a hard thing to say, but you typed it and deleted it about one hundred times. The final time you typed the words, you quickly pressed the tiny, blue arrow, sending the message into the void before setting your phone face down on the table and standing up.
Before you had even turned to walk out of the kitchen and towards your bedroom, you heard a ding! The butterflies in your stomach, which shouldn't have been there, fluttered mercilessly almost making you nauseous. You inhaled at the sight of the words on the screen, your eyes scanning them over and over again: "Of course, I'll see you there." What was most likely an unambiguous winking emoji at the end of that sentence- because in your experience, men didn't know what emojis even were- was staring back at you with a strange tension that caused a knot to form in your throat.
It was wrong.
It was all so, so wrong.
You placed your phone back down on the kitchen table and shook your head; fighting an internal battle with the guilt and the excitement that you felt. Neither one was winning, but both were slowly tearing you in half.
The thought of cancelling crossed your mind as you showered, but only because you found yourself fantasizing about every possible scenario that would lead to this night ending with you on your back in Aemond's bed. You pictured a navy blue duvet and cold, cotton sheets; a wooden headboard tapping against dark colored walls. Your legs clenched together at the thought of his weight pressing down on you.
As you continued to get ready, the images were becoming ingrained on the back of your eyelids. Every time you closed your eyes small details would change; positions, locations, where his mouth was on your body, the lighting of the room, the scent of his cologne, if his hair was up or down. You had tried to reason with yourself, that this was a completely normal feeling, that you just hadn't been laid in a while.
It didn't make a difference.
You half-hoped that he wouldn't follow through with his plans to meet you at the bowling alley. However, when you turned the corner on to 9th Avenue, you noticed his lithe figure leaning against the outside of the building. You stopped for a few seconds, watching him as he stood there; his warm breath swirling in the frigid, January air as he checked his phone.
Seconds later you felt a vibration in your pocket: "I'm here."
"I have to ask, what is your haircare routine because I've yet to see you have a bad hair day." You texted back.
He looked up and around until his gaze caught you, a small smile tugged at his lips as he pushed himself off of the side of the building. You joined him at his side, your neck craned to see his face.
"It is surprisingly simple, but if I told you then I'd have to kill you," he said so smoothly he could have rehearsed it. "And I like you," he added as he opened the door into the bowling alley and gestured for you to go inside. "So, I'd rather not say."
You smirked at his words, eyes rolling slightly. "If you ever change your mind, here's my business card-" of course you had one with you. "My readers would love to know."
He chuckled at that, "I absolutely will," and tucked the card in his coat pocket. "So who's birthday is it?"
"My coworker, Jace," you replied as you scoured the lanes for Baela and Jace. "He's probably a few years younger than you, writes really thoughtful obituaries." You spotted Baela and waved. "Baela is here, too. You met her last night."
You weren't sure why you felt nervous. Aemond certainly didn't seem to be. He was so calm and collected, and cool, as if it was effortless to him; as if he didn't command every eye to look at him the moment he entered a room. The look on Baela's face couldn't have been further from calm, collected, and cool. Her white curls fell over furrowed brows and her lips were pushed to the side.
Jace just looked happy to be there.
"Hey guys," you greeted as you stepped down to the table they were sitting at. "Happy birthday, Jace!" You moved to give him a quick hug. "Jace this is Aegon's brother, Aemond. Aemond, this is Jace. Aegon couldn't make it, some work thing."
"Lucky me," Aemond smirked as he shook Jace's hand. "It's nice to meet you." He then turned his attention to Baela. "Lovely to see you again, Baela."
Despite her rigid expression earlier, you did see her cheeks turn just a shade darker as he kissed her knuckles. You smiled to yourself.
"You guys should go get shoes," Jace mentioned. "Unless you're afraid to lose."
Aemond's eye squinted as he looked at Jace and laughed, "In a hurry to get shown up on your birthday?"
"Go get the shoes!" You groaned at him, pushing him towards the rental counter. "I'm a size __." Your eyes followed Aemond as he disappeared through the crowd before you turned your attention back to Baela. "What?"
Her arms were crossed over her chest. "I'm just concerned," she says softly. "You've been here all of five minutes and I haven't seen you this happy in two years? I just don't want you to do something that you'll regret."
Your shoulders slump and you rolled your eyes dramatically. "Baela, I'm just-" you stopped when you saw Aemond making his way back over to the table. "Being nice! Two people can be just friends."
She gave you a look but dropped the subject as Aemond dropped your bowling shoes in front of your feet. Someone ordered a round of shots, and then a second round, and a third. It was starting to get warm, the music was loud, and you felt good. Aemond was surprisingly extroverted, despite the enigmatic aura he typically projected. He seemed so nonchalant, like he belonged there, like he was good at it.
The game was obviously competitive, with Jace and Aemond doing their best to one-up each other with every strike. They carried most of the score, while you and Baela joked around, not really caring. You stepped up to the line, getting ready to throw the swirly purple and teal ball down the lane.
"Wait, wait, wait!" You heard behind you. A flurry of pale blonde hair bounced towards your side. "I've watched you throw three straight gutter balls, please, allow me?"
"What?" You gasped. "I know we're behind, but I'm not going to cheat and let you take my shot for me!"
Aemond held a hand to his chest, "The fact that you would even insinuate that I'd allow you to cheat!" He scoffed. "Please, just-"
He turned you back to face the pins, the contact of his hands on your shoulders made you disoriented. You tried to breathe, but it was so warm in there. There was a slight rosy hue to his otherwise pale cheeks as he towered over you. His hands lingered still on your shoulders. You tried not to pay attention to the way his fingers pressed into your skin as your blouse shifted beneath his grip.
"Put your feet here," he instructed and pointed to where you should stand with his toe. One hand dropped to the small of your back, you swallowed thick. "Now," his lips were dangerously close to your ear. "Line your ball up with that pin and when you step up to throw, bring this leg back."
You felt the inside of your body clenching as his hands dropped to your waist. Your cheeks flushed as the hair on the back of your neck stood straight.
Following his instruction, you took a few steps up to the pine and released your ball. Within seconds it curved to the left, falling straight into the gutter once more. You turned to look at him with a disappointed frown. His lips couldn't help but begin to turn upwards at your failure.
“I thought you said you were good at this?” You say to Aemond, giving him a playful shove. "We're going to lose!"
"And you'd blame me?" He asked with a smile.
"You instructed me right into a gutter ball!" You threw your hands up.
"My instruction was flawless, as always," you could hear the double entendre in his voice. "Not my fault you couldn't focus."
"I beg to differ," you quipped under your breath, knowing that he was close enough to hear you.
On his next turn, Jace bowled a strike to win the game. The scores weren't even close, but it didn't matter. You'd had more fun tonight than you'd had in- well, since you could remember. For a moment, you'd wished Aegon had been here, but you shut the door on that thought as you checked your phone to see that he hadn't texted you- not even to check in- since he left the apartment earlier.
Your eyes connected with Aemond as you slipped your phone back into your pocket and you smiled softly. You hardly knew him, but you could tell he knew; Aegon was his brother, after all.
"Another game?" Jace asked.
"I don't think I have another game in me," you chuckled. "My shoulder is killing me after the three games we just played."
"The three games you lost, you mean?" Jace countered.
"Hey, I know it's your birthday, but I will still kick your ass!" You laughed as you slipped out of your bowling shoes.
"We'll have a rematch, soon." Aemond interjected, holding his hand out to Jace. "Good match."
"Girls versus guys next time, maybe?" Jace laughed and shook Aemond's hand.
"That wouldn't be fair," Aemond mentioned with a cocky smirk.
"I wouldn't underestimate us," Baela added as she slung her arm over your shoulder and began walking with you towards the counter to drop off your shoes.
The midnight air was numbing as you stepped out of the comforting warmth of the bowling alley. You were almost instantly sobered, feeling tiny flecks of snow fall to your face. The sidewalks were still buzzing and the traffic on 9th Avenue was still busy as car horns sounded in the distance; a reminder that you lived in a 24 hour city.
"Anyone want to go grab a slice of pizza?" You asked. One, because you needed something to soak up the alcohol in your stomach. And two, because you knew that once Jace and Baela left, you'd be alone with Aemond.
Baela hugged you tightly before holding you at arms length, she mentioned something about going to church with her parents tomorrow morning and promised to see you bright-and-early Monday morning. Jace was already flushed from having a few, too many drinks, and Baela urged that he needed to get home.
You weren't necessarily disappointed, just anxious.
"Thanks for coming," Jace smiled warmly as he wrapped his arm around your shoulder in a side hug. He extended his fist out to Aemond, "it was good to meet you, man."
"Likewise, have a good night." His voice was soft through a tight-lipped smile.
You watched as Baela and Jace turned the corner, before turning your attention to Aemond. The headlights of passing by taxi cars shined in his crystalline eye, making him look as if he were unreal; a marble statue dressed in all back with his hands shoved into his pockets. You weren't sure what to say to him, if you should stay or go.
"Can I walk you to the train?" He asked and you exhaled with a smile.
"I'd like that," you replied.
The closest subway platform was two blocks down on 42nd. You did your best to keep up with his long strides, but it proved to be difficult. He had to stop a few times, turning to you with a smile while he waited for you to catch up. You mostly talked about work to keep the conversation going. The one thing you had noticed about Aemond was that he was a good listener, whether he actually cared about anything you were saying or not, he at least seemed to be interested.
He talked about himself, too, which you enjoyed. He talked about all of the places he had travelled to last year and how happy he was to be back home. He gushed about being able to see his family again, specifically his mother and his sister.
You'd never once heard Aegon speak about his family in such a way.
"Can I ask you something?" You said after the conversation had faded out. Your train was running late, but Aemond had been willing to wait with you so that you weren't alone.
"I can't guarantee I'll have an answer, but go for it."
"Why didn't you tell Aegon that we had met in the grocery store?"
He looked at you, his eye narrowed. "Honestly, it's just easier not to say anything sometimes." He spoke, a pensive expression across his pointed features. "Why didn't you?"
You dropped you gaze to the concrete floor. "Because it's just easier not to say anything, sometimes." You repeated his own words, knowing exactly what he meant.
"Hm," he hummed as he leaned up against a brick column. "You know," he said after a few moments of silence. You looked back up at him. "This can't happen." He motioned to the space between the two of you.
"What? Never!" You replied quickly. "I'm appalled that you're even assuming."
"I'm just making sure we're on the same page," he held his hands up defensively.
"We are," you agreed.
"We are?" He asked, cocking an eyebrow.
"Yes, we're friends," you replied sternly. "That's all it can be."
"Good," he stuck his hand out for you to shake on it.
You shook his hand with a firm grip, but he turned your hand over in his, placing a gentle kiss to your knuckles. It made your heart flutter every time. The announcement that your train was arriving played on the overhead speakers.
"Thank you, Y/N. For tonight." His blue eye was piercing through you. "That was the most fun I've had in a while."
They way he said your name and the feeling of your hand in his made you wish he'd just take you home with him; to that navy blue duvet you were picturing earlier. But that was just a fantasy that lived in your mind only, and would never- could never come to fruition. He was right, Baela was right, this couldn't happen.
"You're welcome, I'm glad that you had a good time." You said softly, doing your best to hide your disappointment that the night was ending. "Thank you for coming with me."
As the train pulled up to the platform, you wished that he would pull you into him. The crisp air was thick with tension, and even though you had just agreed to the terms of this- you weren't even sure if you could call it a relationship- friendship, a look lingered in Aemond's eye that told you he didn't mean any of it.
"Friends," you repeated, reminding yourself and him of the deal that you had just made.
He nodded, "Friends."
"I hope you have a good night, Aemond." You pulled your hand from his slowly until it dropped to your side. The doors to the train opened and you found yourself a spot next to the window, forcing yourself not to look back.
Aegon isn't home when you step into your apartment. It's almost too dark and cold, and quiet, and you feel like you shouldn't even be there. You don't even care to hang up your bag and coat, you simply toss them over the arm of the couch. You've got a slight headache and you're starving, and all that you can think about is something you shouldn't be thinking about.
Your phone vibrated as you headed into the kitchen.
Aemond.
"Thanks again, I hope you made it home safe."
You found your thumbs typing a reply before you could even think if it was a good idea or not, "Anytime! I just walked through the door. We should have definitely gotten pizza, but I guess leftover lasagna will work."
Not even bothering to heat up your leftovers, you make your way back into the living room with a Tupperware of lasagna from last night and a fork. You click on the television, catching up on the news before flipping it over to one of your favorite shows.
"You've beaten me, I've got cereal."
You laughed and typed, "That kind of suits you."
Over the next two hours you had squeezed in three new episodes of your show and discussed everything from food, to movies, to philosophy with Aemond. He'd leave you the occasional voice note when he didn't feel like typing a reply, and you'd try not to think about how good his voice sounded at this ungodly hour. You'd try not to think of him sitting back, half-lidded on the couch, in a very comfortable sweater and a pair of joggers with a smile on his face because he was texting you.
It was almost 3:00 AM when you finally got a text from Aegon.
"Don't feel like you need to wait up for me. I love you."

How to Set Up Your Actors (Without Really Trying) (Barduil Month Week 1)
Actor AU: In which Thranduil and Bard are costars for a film and Bilbo is, as usual, rather confused on what's happening and very annoyed by everything.
It's Barduil Month! So I thought I'd participate and write some stories for a ship I love! This one was inspired by this Barduil comic drawn by the amazing @corndog-patrol ! Thanks so much for letting me write a story based on the comic! And thank you @bi-widower-dads for setting up this whole event! Hope you guys enjoy!
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
When Bilbo’s phone vibrated the moment he sat down at his desk, it should have been a tip off of how the next hour would go. But since Bilbo was a very busy man (Valinor Talent Agency didn’t run itself, after all), who already had quite a lot to do, he elected at first to ignore it. Instead, he focused on opening his calendar and checking to make sure That Meeting was indeed today and he was ready for it. Sure enough, it was there, today at eleven o’clock, so in about twenty minutes.
He sighed and pulled out the drawer containing his emergency stash of headache medicine. He looked at it for a moment, contemplating whether he should be—
His phone vibrated again. He turned it over.
—whether he should be proactive and prepare for a potential headache. Anything was possible, especially when Bilbo didn’t feel awake and caffeinated enough for anything. Which usually ended up being all the time. Maybe he ought to see someone about that.
His phone vibrated yet again. Bilbo huffed and turned to pick up his phone and see what so desperately wanted his attention. What he found was a series of angry text messages from dear cousin Lobelia screaming in a flurry of poor grammar and an excessive use of capital letters. Nope. He was not dealing with that.
There was a series of smart, rapid knocks on the door. “Come on in,” he called as he set his phone down.
The door opened and Thranduil Oropherion swept into his office. Yes, that Thranduil Oropherion—professional stage and film actor, known for his cool professionalism, sharp wit, insightful intelligence, and fashionable dress. And also for his long blond hair that he refused to cut. Thranduil Oropherion also happened have one Bilbo Baggins as his talent agent.
Any lesser man may have been intimidated at the prospect of being the agent of such a high profile and equally high maintenance actor. But Bilbo Baggins was no ordinary man—even if he did often wonder why Thranduil refused to cut his hair when he was usually pretty reasonable about other things.
“Good morning, Bilbo,” Thranduil greeted as he sat down in the chair opposite the desk.
“Morning, Thranduil,” Bilbo returned. “Early as usual, I see.”
“I had to be,” Thranduil sniffed. “Have you seen the traffic this time of day?” He raised a hand to inspect his immaculately done nails. “Couldn’t this meeting have been scheduled at a different time?”
Bilbo sighed. Maybe he should’ve taken the headache medicine after all. “Well, it was the best time for everyone to meet,” he said. “Now, once your costar gets here, we’re going to take an hour or so for you both to get to know each other, then we’re going to the conference room for the Zoom call with the screenwriters to talk about the script—”
“And the director? Where is he in all of this?” Thranduil frowned. “I had hoped he would be here as well. I would like to discuss certain things about the script with him.”
Bilbo turned his phone facedown as it buzzed again. “The director had to call off. He’s meeting with the production company.”
Thranduil’s frown deepened fractionally. “Very well.”
He was sure he would regret asking, but Bilbo still ventured anyway, “What’s wrong with the script?”
“Well first of all, there is a clear lack of vision for the characters. Are my costar and I to be playing one-dimensional stereotypes? There is no buildup or suspense for what is supposed to be a horror plot line, and the horror relies solely on cheap jumpscares rather than any actual fear or dread.”
Now, listen, Bilbo wanted to be more annoyed at these critiques. He was sure any decent screenwriter or director would be. But personally, he just thought to himself that this was why Thranduil was such a professional and well-respected actor—he was knowledgeable not just on how to act but also on all other aspects of a production.
However, he did still think Thranduil was being a bit unfair. “I thought the script was good. Maybe it’s just a bit jarring to you since you haven’t played a protagonist like this one before.” From how Thranduil frowned but didn’t respond, he knew Thranduil knew he had a point. “Which is another reason why it’ll be good to meet with your costar and the screenwriters, since then you can get a better sense of what they want from the part you’re playing. And your costar has done more roles like yours, so he can give you some insight too.”
At the mention of his mysterious costar, Thranduil thankfully dropped the subject of the script. “Where is this costar, anyway?”
“On his way here, most likely.” Maybe that was why his phone kept vibrating, because the costar was calling him. But no, that was his personal phone that was buzzing…
“What is his name… Bard Bowman?”
“Yeah, that’s him.”
“What has he been in recently?”
“His last film was—hang on, you didn’t look into him at all?”
Thranduil sniffed. “Of course not. I’m a professional.”
From how long they’d known each other, Bilbo knew that meant Thranduil thought that would feel too weird and he didn’t want to seem strange for stalking his costar’s filmography. He went on. “Well, his last film was a part in some fantasy film—”
“You mean you don’t remember?” Thranduil quipped.
Bilbo just gave him a snarky smirk. “Of course not. I’m a professional.” He continued. “And then for the last year and a half he’s been on a break. Wanted to spend more time with his kids, his agent said.”
To his dismay, Thranduil’s frown appeared again. “His agent is from Dale Talent, isn’t he? Didn’t they come out of the complete cesspool of corruption that was Laketown Talent?”
Bilbo couldn’t help wincing at the name, and his phone buzzed again as if in agreement. That whole scandal had not been pretty. “They did. But Dale’s model is ethical, they pay their taxes on time, and none of their staff have evasion, public disturbance, or harassment charges. Plus their tea was pretty good.” He glanced at the clock. Five more minutes until eleven. “Right, he’ll probably be here soon. Be nice, alright?”
Thranduil gave him an indignant look. “I am always nice, Bilbo.”
“Not backhanded, passive-aggressive nice. Really nice. And that goes for when you’re meeting with the screenwriters, too.”
Honestly, sometimes he wondered if that scowl was just permanently attached to Thranduil’s face. “That will depend on what they have to say about their barely-passable-quality script.”
Bilbo could feel a headache coming on. Today was not the day to put up with all of this. “Thranduil, as your agent—” He decided to appeal to the actor’s more reasonable side. “—as your friend—I am really begging you to behave.”
Thankfully, it worked; Thranduil’s scowl softened marginally even as he scoffed and crossed his legs. “Please, Bilbo. I am an absolute joy to work with.”
Bilbo leveled him with a withering look. He amended himself. “Yes, I will be polite.”
Bilbo’s phone vibrated again as he sighed and nodded gratefully. “Good.” His phone buzzed again (what was going on?) but he ignored it and checked his agenda. “Now, he’ll be here any minute. So make sure to introduce yourself and find something you both can talk about. You’ll both be needing good chemistry anyway—”
“Why would we need good chemistry?”
Oops. He shouldn’t have said that. Bilbo maintained his cool as his phone buzzed again. “There’s going to be some romance—”
Thranduil’s eyes flashed. “The script did not call for a romance, Bilbo,” he said tensely, the sort of tense calm one would find in a very, very small eye of a hurricane.
Bilbo, however, was not intimidated. “Some things were reworked. You two are going to have a romance plot line. Did you not get the revised script?”
“No!” Thranduil leapt to his feet and paced angrily. “Unbelievable!” he ranted. “What is that hack director thinking, doing such a last minute change? Are we film students in graduate school? Is that what this is?” Bilbo’s phone vibrated again. “And where is that constant buzzing coming from?!”
“It’s my phone,” Bilbo grumbled, rubbing the bridge of his nose. “Look, I’m not the one who made the changes—”
“Obviously not, because you know better!” Thranduil whirled around on him in a mess of fury and blond hair. “A last minute change like this is unacceptable! Call that director! We need to discuss—”
Bilbo was seconds away from faceplanting on his desk, when there was a knock on his office door. “‘Scuse me?” someone called from outside.
Bilbo checked his wall clock. Eleven o’clock. He shot Thranduil a glare clearly meaning “Behave,” before saying aloud, “Yes? Come in.”
The door opened, and Bilbo’s headache throbbed a bit more when Bard Bowman politely entered the room. Just great. “Good morning,” Bard said politely. “Are you Mr. Baggins?”
Bilbo tried to arrange his face into a look that didn’t suggest he was one more inconvenience away from throwing something and nodded. “I am, yes.”
Bard’s face split into a grin. “Great!” He came over with an extended hand. “I’m Bard. Glad to finally meet you.”
In spite of the day, Bilbo returned the smile as he shook Bard’s hand. At least Bard’s friendly reputation was true. “And you. You’re right on time.” He turned to Thranduil, hoping at the very least that Thranduil still didn’t look like he’d nearly thrown a diva tantrum a second ago. “Thranduil, your co-star, Bard Bowman.”
To his surprise, Thranduil looked far from angry—he was staring at Bard with an almost… awestruck look on his face. The look reminded Bilbo of the look his nephew Frodo would get when he was staring at the anime characters he thought were especially hot.
Bard, on the other hand, didn’t seem to realize that was Thranduil’s look. He just smiled even wider and happily went to offer a handshake to Thranduil. “I can’t tell you how great it is to be working with you,” he said eagerly. “Your work is just amazing. Really, it’s an honor.”
And then Thranduil did the most unexpected thing: he smiled. And not just any smile, but the charming one he saved for interviews and red carpet reporters. “Please,” he replied, taking Bard’s hand, “the pleasure is mine.”
Really, if Bilbo didn’t have such a headache, he probably would have been flabbergasted by Thranduil’s rapid change of attitude. But as it was, the most he could give was a raised eyebrow. “So, Thranduil, do you still want to talk to—”
“No.”
“Alright then.” One less thing to do, at least. Although he probably would be having a word with the director about letting people know about last minute changes. But he could worry about that later, when he had gotten some coffee and ibuprofen tablets. “Well, how about we get started with—”
His phone vibrated yet again, and this time, it didn’t stop. Bilbo sighed in frustration. “Hold on.” He picked up his phone and looked to see who was calling. It wasn’t a number he remembered saving in his phone… But when he looked at the area code, he suddenly remembered when Drogo told him he’d put Bilbo down as one of Frodo’s emergency contacts at his middle school just in case.
He held up a finger to Bard and Thranduil and left his office to answer the phone. “Hello?”
“Hi, Uncle Bilbo.”
What the— “Frodo?” Why was his eleven-year-old nephew calling from his school's phone?
“Can you pick me up from school? Mum and Dad are both at work.”
Was that what all the texting had been about? “Why do you need to be picked up? What happened?”
“I, uh… got into a fight with Lotho…”
“YOU WHAT—” Bilbo glanced at his office door and lowered his voice. “You what?!”
“It wasn’t my fault! He was bullying Tom Cotton and—”
Bilbo’s headache throbbed and he rubbed the bridge of his nose. “Actually, Frodo, don’t. Explain it when I get there.” He checked his watch and calculated how long it would take to pick up Frodo and come back. Yes, he could manage it. “I’ll be there in ten minutes. Do not do anything until I get there.”
“Thanks, Uncle Bilbo!”
“You’re welcome. Be there soon.”
Bilbo hung up and rubbed his forehead, then went back into his office. Bard and Thranduil had sat down on Bilbo’s couch, talking about something, with Thranduil sitting far closer than Bilbo had expected. “Excuse me,” he said.
The two actors looked up at him. “Everything all right?” Bard asked.
God, he wished. “Sorry about this, but my nephew called and I need to pick him up from school. His parents are both at work.”
Thranduil smirked, and Bilbo had no doubt he was wondering what Frodo, who was usually such a well-behaved child, had done to be sent home from school. He could not let Frodo tell him; Thranduil would probably buy him ice cream. Bard on the other hand nodded in understanding. “I understand. I can reschedule, if you like. My kids are in school too, so I’m pretty open most days.”
“Actually, it won’t take long, about twenty minutes, maybe, so why don’t you both get something to eat?”
Thranduil smoothly interjected. “I think that’s a fantastic idea,” he said, giving that charming smile to Bard again (and did Bard shift and smile a little back, or was that Bilbo’s headache muddling things?). “Have you been to the cafe downstairs? They serve excellent coffee.”
Bard smiled at him. “No, can’t say I have.”
“Well, that just will not do. We can eat and,” he smiled coyly, “get acquainted while Bilbo fetches his nephew.”
“Well, that sounds perfect.”
Bilbo wondered if he was supposed to feel like a third wheel right now. “Right, well,” he awkwardly went over to his desk to grab his keys. “Good. You two, get to know each other, and I’ll be back soon.”
As he left the two to… whatever was starting to happen between them… he looked at his phone again to see what all the vibrating earlier had been about. It turned to have been several more very angry text messages from dear cousin Lobelia, ranting and raving at him about how Drogo and Primula were raising a violent, wild child and he needed to stage an intervention so that Frodo wouldn’t attack her dear, sweet Lotho ever again. Ah, so that was what all that was. Frodo must have won that fight against Lotho.
Bilbo sighed and rubbed his forehead. He wasn’t sure what just happened or what he had just done for Thranduil and Bard back there in his office, but either way, he still had a feeling Thranduil would get Frodo ice cream for something today.

as a person diagnosed with pica, here are some things i eat, either based on textures and or taste.
specifically, colored art charcoal i love it because, the taste and the sandy grainy texture it gives when you scrub your teeth together,
makeup brush handles, i enjoy breaking them and chewing them, if they are more sharp peices or they broke in larger peice's i do not swallow, seriosly it is embarasing having the emergancy room and explaining
cardboard, yummy swallow, the taste is delectable.
laundry starch, no explanation needed.
styafoam, when i was in the psych-ward, they had a little water machine for everyone or they handed out juice, i usually also ate the cup afterward.
craft paper, i have to be supervised in art class now, so they make sure i do not digest any (they cant stop me at home)
popsicle sticks, when ever i finished icecream or corndogs on a stick.

🦘 for Ruby??
MY NEWEST DAUGHTER, THANK YOU SM ANNA!
1. Their happiest moment: I think Ruby’s happiest moment is when Santana FINALLY admits that she’s in love with her and she’s tired of hiding how she feels behind her walls. The look of pure joy and the brightest smile Santana has ever seen appeared over Ruby’s face, making her fall in love with her all over again
2. Their favorite meme quote: Emergency corndog that heats up when you crack it like a glow stick (Ruby is a BIG corndog lover)
3. A nervous habit of theirs: Like Thea, Ruby also has a bad habit of biting her nails. It’s the reason why her nails are always so short, and she never wears nail polish as well
4. A turn-off of theirs: People never putting in the effort to grow as a human being. The fact that you are WILLING to be a douchenozzle and don’t want to stop being one immediately turns Ruby off from wanting to get to know you better
5. Their favorite ‘90’s song: Just A Girl by No Doubt
6. Their aesthetic: Skater Chick with a splash of Punk
7. Their favorite childhood book: Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan
8. Their favorite movie: Whip It
9. If they fall in love quickly or take their time: Ruby DEFINITELY falls in love quickly; I mean, come on, she fell in love with Santana in 5 minutes flat
10. Their favorite nonsensical social media drama: Sam Pepper putting on pranks where he grabs women’s asses and pretends to kill someone in front of their friend

So mum bought me a korean corndog and a cake 🥰 we went to the cannoli place and we both saw cakes we liked so we got it
I shall be having mine with some hot milk tonight Insha’Allah while watching… something, probably Labyrinth ^_^ it’s breezy and autumn-y enough outside for Labyrinth now
And Whisper of the Heart, but I’m saving that one for Friday I think
Also :D I USED MY FIRST EVER STUDENT DISCOUNT TO PAY FOR MY VARIOUS PYJAMAS
And also THIS SEASON OF M&S WAS BASICALLY ALL THE STARRY VIBES SO
I got 15% off on such comfy and cute pyjamas I am SO excited to wear them
And because I planned this trip and budgeted and all even though I spent like, a fair amount, I don’t feel too bad because 1. Necessities and 2. Yes things I LIKE and that fit my style are a necessity because I will wear and use it more and self care is a bit of a necessity sometimes. Also 3. I avoided spending extra money on any treats or food out, the only time I do is an emergency cheesecake so Insha’Allah my efforts in saving will add up
Plus I’ve been dying for properly comfy pyjamas that fit me not just old clothes and things from when I was 15 (literally, that’s the last time I bought pyjamas properly)
Tumblr media
Not to be obnoxious but a littol haul pic because I JUST LOVE THESE PYJAMAS SO MUCH (and this ain’t overconsumption, read; has not bought pjs in 8 years 💀💀💀)
Yeah :D I’m very on brand here :D
Oh that blue starry one in the bag isn’t just like. Another pyjama set
It’s a big floof jumper, I still have my cosy snowflake one but it’s old and… it doesn’t have stars on it :D that one wasn’t MUCH of a necessary purchase but come on I think I deserve a new pyjama jumper 🥺
The bedsheet shopping didn’t go so well… Next isn’t open at the mall anymore so I had to go to M&S and 🥹 it’s so expensive for a duvet set they basically only stocked big designer stuff, £60 a set
Tumblr media
So I managed to find a reasonably priced set and some mattress covers, I couldn’t use the discount again it was a one off but I’m glad I used it for the pyjamas that was probably a better usage
I do still want more bedcovers but it’s not as urgent now, I just needed a couple of new ones + mattress covers since the old ones are falling apart and the mattress doesn’t fit with my old covers
So I can defer buying it to another month Insha’Allah perhaps even when there’s a sale on so I can get a really nice print but without the painful prices
Look at me trying my best to be a responsible adult
Yes my mum will still be paying for my boots Insha’Allah
I did actually go try on some Dr Martens but they were really stiff and tight and like not bad I’m sure I’d adjust but if I’m gonna ask mum to pay £180 for boots I should love them right? And I love the flower ones I found online much more and they’re £110 so it seems only sensible to get the cheaper ones that I already love than get the £180 and paint on them (which is what I was planning on doing :D leather paint + starry aesthetic)
I like the Victorian vibes, so I’m gonna order them now and Insha’Allah they’ll come soon so I can try em out
