Galactic Gazetteer: Coridan
Tumblr media
AKA: Coridan Prime, Coridan III, Desotriana
Class: M
Quadrant: Beta
Inhabitants: Coridans (Coridanites)
Affiliation: People's Republic of Coridan; United Federation of Planets
Appearance: ENT "Shadows of P'Jem" (2002)
First mentioned: TOS "Journey to Babel" (1967)
Tumblr media
Fun fact: extremely rich in dilithium, making it a strategically valuable ally for surrounding powers.
Another fun fact: in the 22nd century Coridan was in the midst of a long civil war, with the Vulcan High Command backing the government and the Andorian Empire aiding the rebels.
Fun fact 3: in 2268, Coridan had applied for Federation membership, but this was contested by the Tellarites and almost sabotaged by the Orions who had interests in the dilithium deposits.
Fun fact 4: the Coridans' physiognomy varies wildly between appearances.

I really enjoyed the second episode of Discovery Season 3.
I like that we got a whole episode where the rest of the crew gets to shine. Especially Saru, who is now finally getting the big chair and hopefully gets to keep it this time. And it’s really good to have Culber and Stamets being such a cute couple.  Detmer’s having issues and I really hope they get a counselor to help her out.
Also the bad guy mentions the Orions, presumably meaning the Orion Syndicate,  which have been around since TOS. If I recall correctly their first story also involved the Coridanites. I’m sure we’ll be seeing more of them in the future.

This is going to be fun to explain to your parents
Spock x reader (3)
requested by @sovereignoblivious
Warnings: violence. mind melding? awkwardness. injury. death reference. reference to prostitution. probably cursing knowing me
AN: Ok it should just be one more part but you never know.
(“What do you mean she’s gone?” Jim demanded, staring at Hendorff in the doorway of the bridge. “She was just there! Scotty had her locked in!” “One of the Coridanites grabbed her,” he answered, panting from the run up. “I tried but I couldn’t get hold of her.”  “Well, shit,” Bones cursed, loudly.)
“My sentiments exactly, Dr McCoy,” your voice piped up, a half-whisper in the comms. “(Y/N)!” Jim exclaimed, immediately pulling the dark visuals from your unit on screen. “Where are you?” “Somewhere near a brothel in the shantytown,” you answered, quietly, peering through a gap in the ridged scrap metal. “East of the central gate to the capital. Unfortunately, I am, uh, dangling from a very unstable ceiling.”  “You’re what?” Bones repeated. (A loud crash echoed in the bridge. Spock’s desk had collapsed, his knuckles returning from gripping the console until they were taut and white.) “What was that?” you questioned, attempting to stop yourself from swinging and get your bearings. “Uh...Spock just broke his console?” Jim sounded so unsure that you weren’t sure if he was lying or just very confused. “...right,” you brushed it off, frowning, “Well, anyway, I think if I swing hard enough the roof will collapse and I can escape in the kerfuffle, so excuse me while I make myself very dizzy.” “That doesn’t sound like the–” Your comm cut off, leaving them with only visuals. “Ok well that went well.” Jim turned to Spock. (“What was that?” he asked, gesturing vaguely to the console, now dangling by its wires, as Scotty scrabbled underneath to try and patch it back into place. “I am unsure, Captain,” Spock responded, quietly. “I would like to go–” “Absolutely not,” Jim cut him off in an instant, “The rebels have already attacked StarFleet officials. A Vulcan would likely be killed or at least maimed on sight. You will stay here. Chekov, transporter bay. See if you can lock onto a swinging maniac Ambassador.” “Yes Keptin,” he agreed, bolting off the bridge. “Hendorff, go and get yourself checked out,” Jim instructed, gently, “We may need your assistance again.” The burly security officer nodded, following Chekov into the turbo lift. “Captain, I need to–” Spock began, standing, and moving out of Scotty’s way. “Spock, you need to stay here,” Jim insisted, also rising, and crossing the bridge to clasp the Vulcan by the shoulders. “I know she’s precious to you, but she can take care of herself. There is no use endangering yourself. You may stay here with the comms, or Bones can accompany you to the transporter bay to assist Chekov. You are not to leave this ship.” Spock’s expression remained unchanged, but Jim could see the fear fighting with logic in his eyes. “...yes, Captain,” he agreed, eventually, taking up his position behind the Captain’s chair, just as a loud crash sounded again.)
“Hah! I did it!” Your voice crackled through the comms, and light flooded the dark image as a ramshackle house collapsed around you. You spat out a mouthful of blueish mud, grimacing.  “Are you alright?” Spock queried, his voice deceptively calm.  “Yes, yes, quite fine,” you panted back, picking up the half-rotted wooden beam that your rope had been attached to and sprinting towards the city. “Are you carrying part of the house?” Jim questioned, furrowing his brow. “Well, you see, Jim,” you replied, ducking behind a house as a shot rang out behind you, “I’m rather attached to it.” Your eyes flicked down, and the camera revealed your red-raw ankle, beneath the rope trailing all the way to the wood in your hands. (Spock abandoned the bridge for the turbolift to the transporter bay.) You began running again, spinning to deflect a shot at the sound of a new bullet clicking into a chamber. You ducked away from the odd, rectangular projectile, instinctively thrusting the wood forwards. It splintered with the shock, and you felt the spikes embed themselves in your hands, but you kept running, as the city guards came running out to investigate the fuss. Recognising your StarFleet uniform, they backed up with you, firing at the rebels behind you, before ushering you through the gate. You collapsed on the other side, sighing in relief. “I think I can safely say this is the worst negotiation of my career so far,” you quipped, tiredly dropping your head onto the blue stone path. “Thanks for the help.” You climbed to your feet, shaking hands with each of the guards. “I will be in touch with the Chancellor again, but please offer my sincere apologies for the breakdown of today’s meeting. We will do our best to restore a peace here as soon as possible.” “You’d come back, after all that?” one of them questioned, raising an eyebrow. “Well, you live here after all that,” you answered, with a smile. “Thanks again.” The transporter beam wrapped around you, and you stumbled into the transporter bay, straight into Spock.
“Spock!” you exclaimed, not even trying to straighten up as exhaustion washed over you. “How do we end up in these situations?” You leant your head forward against his shoulder, taking a deep breath to try and calm your heart rate. “I believe that our Captain attracts bad luck,” he responded, running a tentative but soothing hand over your ruffled hair. “I don’t think I help that,” you answered, leaning back to look up at him. The dizziness caught up with you as you did so, and you stumbled forward. Spock caught you, gently, but you hissed as the splinters in your hands stung at the sudden contact. Your head suddenly buzzed with concern and confusion and...love? Spock carefully rearranged his hold on you, lifting you from your feet. “I can walk,” you protested, quietly, head still swimming. “You have run far enough today, (Y/N),” he told you, gently.

Who has the weird taste in music? [Drabble]
Who Masterlist
Fandom: Star Trek Pairing/characters: Jim Kirk x reader (but not really), Coridanite officers, Commander Kyle Words: 608 Warnings: Klingon opera
Tumblr media
It was a busy day in engineering. We had some Coridanite representatives onboard, transporting them from their planet to a space station where they were going to hold a conference on advanced warp theory, seeing as Coridanites were slightly more advanced than most Federation members, Earth in particular. Even so, they were very interested in how the Enterprise worked. Jim had been sceptical at first – he didn't want to reveal secrets about his ship, but Admiral Ainsworth insisted.
So, Jim had been wandering around the ship with them for a couple of days, playing the gracious host. They'd been down in engineering a few times and they asked all sorts of questions and – in my opinion – really disrupted the workday.
I knew they'd be down again today, and I was going to open up one of our sensor probes and see if I couldn't increase the range of it for the mission we were going on after we dropped off the Coridanites. I needed to concentrate and knew it would be hard with them walking around. So that morning, I dug out a pair of old headphones from deep in my closet, loaded them with one of my favourite Klingon operas and went off to work.
It was much easier to work like this, being surrounded by the grand symphonies and the dramatic singing, not hearing anything of what was going on around me. I did get some weird looks from a few of the other officers, but I ignored it. They're just jealous, I thought to myself.
I was losing myself in my work, the insides of the sensor probe laid out around me on the floor and the desk, a few tools within reach. I was connecting my PADD to the sensor's computer to run some simulations when there was a tap on my shoulder. I started and nearly dropped the PADD, probably made a noise too, but I couldn't be sure, as the Klingon singer in my ears was reaching the height of the song.
Spinning around, I saw Jim standing there with an amused look on his face, the Coridanites behind him looking puzzled. I promptly removed the headphones and stood up. "Captain Kirk. Officers." I nodded in greeting. "Is there something I can do for you?"
"At ease, Lieutenant. Our visitors were just curious about the noise coming from this corner." He nodded towards the headphones on the desk.
"Oh, my apologies." I looked towards the Coridanites and spoke to them. "I'm working on something that requires my complete focus, and listening to my favourite music helps."
"It's Klingon opera," Jim explained with a slight shake of his head.
"Yes, I recognized the screaming," one of the Coridanite officers said. "How can you work in that noise?"
"Is it very audible to the rest of the room?" I was suddenly afraid I had bothered my fellow officers all day.
"We don't mind," Commander Kyle shot in as he walked past, balancing what looked like ten PADDs in his arms. I smiled at him in thanks.
"We should move on. Commander Scott promised to show us the warp core," Jim said, pointing towards Scotty, waiting by the door. As the Coridanites headed towards the Chief Engineer, Jim lingered. "I know they have some questions about the warp drive that I think you will be able to answer better than most, would you join us for lunch later?"
"Sure." I reached for my headphones, ready to get back to work.
"Also," he leaned in closer to whisper in my ear, "You’re insane, but I love it." He kissed my cheek quickly, winked and was off.

A Second Chance Pt. 3
A Second Chance Pt. 3
Kane Thalek walked into the bar flanked by his friends Etiva Xankath and Calvin Bastian. The place was dimly lit and full of miners. The three cadets looked fairly out of place since their training had made them easy to pick out as military from their bearing. They were also the youngest in the place. On top of all of that Bastian and Xankath were the only non-Coridanites in the place and a human…

Star Trek: Discovery Season 3 Episode 10 Easter Eggs & References
https://ift.tt/3gYLntQ
This Star Trek: Discovery article contains spoilers for Season 3, Episode 10.
With only three episodes to go in Season 3, Star Trek: Discovery delivered an episode that is moving the series forward, but also, changing Georgoiu’s role at the same time. “Terra Firma, Part 2” was also nostalgic as hell, and felt right at home among some of the rough-and-tumble TOS episodes, including, of course, “Mirror, Mirror.” But the deep-cuts in “Terra Firma, Part 2” weren’t just limited to a Terran dagger of Georgiou’s sword. From aliens from all corners of Trek canon, to a very slick reference to Scotty, “Terra Firma, Part 2” had it all.
Here’s every Easter egg, callback and reference we caught in “Terra Firma, Part 2.” Your Emperor warns you, spoilers are ahead!
Agonizer references Kirk and Chekov
Georgiou’s leniency on Mirror Burnham echoes exactly how Kirk treated Mirror Chekov in “Mirror, Mirror.” In that episode, Mirror Spock was blown-away when Kirk didn’t order “full duration” in the Agony Booth, even though Chekov’s crime warranted death. Basically, Georgiou is behaving a lot like Kirk did in “Mirror, Mirror,” the irony being, she’s from this universe, and Kirk wasn’t.
Georgiou predicts problems for the Empire
When Georgiou tells Mirror Burnham that the subjects of the Empire are in constant rebellion, she suggests that the current model of the Terran Empire is doomed to fail. This assessment aligns with what Mirror Spock said in “Mirror, Mirror,” when he outright acknowledged that at some point in the future “the Empire will be overthrown, of course.”
“An Alliance to Destroy Us”
Mirror Burnham mentions a vast alliance trying to take down the Empire. This vaguely references a similar alliance that Prime Burnham discovered in “The Wolf Inside.” In that episode, Georgoiu destroyed those rebels from orbit, but this timeline is slightly different.
Coalition Members
Burnham rattles off a lot of alien races that are part of the coalition against the Empire. And, those selections all seem very pointed, and interesting. Here’s why.
Romulans– This implies the Romulans and the Vulcans split in the Mirror Universe, much as they did in the Prime Universe. Plus, it also implies the Terran Starfleet might be more aware of Romulans in the 2250s than their Prime Universe counterparts.
Andorians- Founding members of the Federation of the Prime Universe, sworn enemies of the Empire in the Mirror Universe.
Tellierates- This checks with what we saw in “The Wolf Inside,” in Season 1 of Discovery.
Klingons- Again, in “The Wolf Inside,” we learned that Mirror Voq was the benevolent leader of the rebellion against the Empire.
Denobulans- This is a callback to Enterprise. Dr. Phlox was a Denobulan, and in the Enterprise two-parter “In a Mirror, Darkly,” Mirror Phlox worked for the Terran Empire. So, if Denobulans were revolting, then yes, the Empire was in real trouble.
Rigelians- Although mentioned in TOS and DS9, we first saw Rigelians in Enterprise. Most recently, we saw a Regelian in the Lower Decks episode “Much Ado About Boimler.”
Coridanites- We most recently saw members of the Coridanite species in the Discovery episode “Far From Home.” But, the first time they appeared was in the Enterprise episode “Shadows of P’Jem.”
“You could kill her with the press of a button”
Does Georgiou have a Tantalus Field? Captain Killy suggests that she has the ability to kill Mirror Burnham with “the press of a button.” In “Mirror, Mirror,” Kirk discovered a device called the Tantalus Field, that was able to remotely vaporize people. In an unused concept for Enterprise, at one point, it was going to be suggested that the Tantalus Field sent people to alternate dimensions. That said, in this scene, it seems like we’re meant to get a similar feeling from “Mirror, Mirror,” and not necessarily assume Georgiou has the Tantalus Field.
Mirror Image Credits
The credits for “Terra Firma Part 2” are inverted, to acknowledge the idea that the episode begins in the Mirror Universe. The only other time a Trek show has had “Mirror Universe” credits was in the two-part Enterprise episode, “In a Mirror, Darky. Parts 1 and 2.”
No one has heard from Lorca
It seems possible that during the 3-months that Georgiou stays in the Mirror Universe, Captain Lorca does cross over into the Prime Universe. This would explain why “no one has heard” from him at all.
Landry and the other co-conspirators
Rekha Sharma returns again, as Mirror Ellen Landry. She’s the first of the co-conspirators to be tracked-down by Mirror Detmer and Mirror Bunrham. In the “original” Mirror timeline, Landry had been put in an agonizer booth for like a year or something. But, she was very much a part of Lorca’s rebellion.
You are not Terran!
When Mirror Saru hears about all the great things Kelpiens have been able to do, he mentions that Georgiou must have “traveled far beyond the Empire.” Later, he accuses Georgiou of not being a Terran, essentially, because she’s acting way too nice. All of this implies that the Kelpiens in the Mirror Universe are aware of another universe, and another reality. Mirror Saru even says “Return to where you are from!”
Also, bummer news, but in the Mirror Universe, Saru’s sister, Siranna, is apparently dead.
Mirror Airiam Is Not a Cyborg!
Actress Hannah Cheesman appears in both “Terra Firma Part 1” and “Terra Firma Part 2,” but it’s only here, in dialogue in Part 2, that it’s outright established that yes, this is Mirror Airiam. Obviously, in the Mirror Universe, Airiam never was involved in the shuttle accident that led her to become an augmented human. Interestingly, Hannah Cheesman was not the original Airiam, that would be actress Sara Mitich, who played Airiam in Season 1 of Discovery. Since Season 2, Mitich (sans-makeup) has played Commander Nilsson. In “Terra Firma Part 2,” Mitich plays Mirror Nilsson, opposite Cheesman as Mirror Airiam. This is the first time since the beginning of Season 2 that both Airiam actresses have been on the bridge at the same time. You could call this Mirror,Mirror Airiams, but that would be going to far, right?
Risa
You know this one! Risa is the pleasure planet, made famous by the TNG episode “Captain’s Holiday.” Is Risa a pleasure planet in the Mirror Universe? Seemingly not? Maybe?
Klingon-Romulan Alliance
The idea that the Klingons and Romulans form an alliance in the Mirror Universe in the 2250s is oddly similar to what happens in the Prime Universe in the 2260s. In the TOS episode “The Enterprise Incident,” we learn that the Klingons and the Romulans started sharing technology, partially because they wanted to take-down the Federation.
Scotty Easter egg!
Carl’s newspaper contains all sorts of interesting headlines, including one headline that reads “Starship USS Jenolan Reported to Be Missing.” This references the USS Jenolan from the TNG episode “Relics.”In that episode, Scotty was brought into the 24th Century after having stored himself in a transporter for like 70 years. Relevantly, Scotty was present in “The City on the Edge of Forever” when Kirk and Spock returned through the Guardian of Forever, and said, “You only left a moment ago.”
Tkon Empire
Another of Carl’s headlines reads: “Supernova Threatens Tkon Empire.” This references the TNG episode “The Last Outpost.” In that episode, the Tkon Empire had been destroyed for 600,000 years. They also had the ability to move planets and stars.
Guardian of Forever
Obviously, the biggest reveal here is that Carl is really the Guardian of Forever, first seen in the TOS episode “The City on the Edge of Forever.” The Discovery writers choose this name in honor of Carl Sagan. When the Guardian speaks his name, we hear an audio sample from Bart LaRue, who played the original voice of the Guardian in 1976. When the Guardian says: “Back in the day it used to be sure, come on through, just don’t screw up history or you’ll have to fix it,” he’s clearly referencing Kirk and Spock. And probably, Spock again in “Yesteryear.”
For more on how the Guardian of Forever has changed Trek canon again, check out this deep-dive.
He was called “San”
Georgiou’s flashbacks earlier in Season 3 are now connected to a character named San. We still don’t know exactly who he was, but he is mentioned in the tie-in novel Die Standing. Clearly, we’ll hear more of this story in Michelle Yeoh’s next Star Trek show.

Star Trek: Discovery Season 3 Episode 9 Easter Eggs & References
By Ryan Britt
“He’s not the only one suited for the Captain’s Chair”
Mirror Georgiou brings the relationship between Burnham and Prime Georgiou full circle when she tells her that she’s also got what it takes to be the Captain of a starship. This references the opening moments of the very first episode of Discovery ever, “The Vulcan Hello.” In that episode Captain Georgiou straight-up told Bunrham it was time for her to get her own ship. Okay, so that’s two Georgious who have said it now. Does that mean it’s going to happen?
Live long and prosper
Not really an Easter egg, but it’s straight-up adorable that Michael’s default goodbye is still the Vulcan salute. Someone stepping into the Guardian of Forever, while having someone else give them the Vulcan salute? That’s Star Trek, baby. But like, a double-shot of Star Trek with no chaser.
Romulan Ale toast for Georgiou
Speaking of booze, it seems that everyone in the DISCO crew is drinking Romulan Ale during the toast for Georgiou at the end of the episode. This could be a vague reference to Star Trek III: The Search For Spock, when Kirk and gang all have Romulan Ale, and Kirk says “To absent friends.” Chris Pine Kirk says something similar in Star Trek Beyond, and there’s a similar vibe in this scene, as to those two scenes. In each case, we never really saw if there were any lasting effects of that Romulan booze, but we did know that those respective crews were now ready to get down to business.

Star Trek: Discovery 3.02 Far From Home review
Spoilers
Far From Home
The second episode of the third season. The Discovery arrives in the 32nd Century and crash lands on a planet. The crash landing sequence was done rather well. Almost as good as the ones in Generations and Beyond, and a lot better than the one in Timeless. The rest of the episode is about the crew dealing with the situation they have found themselves in. Saru and Tilly making First Contact. The rest of the crew making repairs to the ship. Something is up with Detmer! Other things happen.
Saru and Tilly go out on the planet, and find themselves in over their head, discovering that the colony is being exploited by a 'courier' as a result of the lack of dilithium. The Western beats were strong with this one. Zarah was as much a Western antagonist as Calvera, or Buford Tannen. He and his gang certainly had the Coridanite miners under his thumb. He's also an effective fighter, but he was ill-equipped to deal with someone like Georgiou. Him being left alive at the end was a surprise, but it was well done.
Back on Discovery, the crew races to repair their ship. The various characters shine here. What of Detmer? It isn't an injury, or damage to her implant. (it's certainly leading to something.) Culbur, Staments and Reno are all good. Reno is much the same as the previous season, while Staments put himself on the line to make that final repair. That's certainly believable.Reno encouraging Staments to do the repair (so she woundn't have to), and Culbur calling out his partner for being reckless were both good.
Both these storylines are good. Although, having Burnham rescue Discovery from the ice, rather than having them escape under their own power seems anticlimatic. It would have been better for the former occurrence to happen. But that didn't make their efforts useless. Overall, a very good episode. 8.5/10.

This is going to be fun to explain to your parents
Spock x reader (2)
requested by @sovereignoblivious
Warnings: violence. probably cursing knowing me
“The rebel leaders are not here,” you murmured, to both your comms and your three-man team beside you. “Be alert for any movement. Hendorff, Smith, check the exterior. And stay safe. I don’t want any casualties today.” “Chancellor.” You and Uhura greeted the figure at one of the imperious thrones in the centre of the grove. “A pleasure to make your acquaintance,” you smiled, warmly, “I am Ambassador (L/N), this is Lieutenant Uhura of the StarShip Enterprise. I look forward to conducting a fruitful meeting today. Has there been any news from our intended companions?” “The dissidents have made no contact,” the Chancellor responded, coldly. “I would suggest you prepare for their usual brutal tactics.” She gestured to her security guards, and you followed her gesture to the many other burly, armed Coridanites lining the grove. “Bringing an armed entourage does not encourage pleasantries,” Uhura commented, under her breath. “I will have to ask you to have the guards stand down before the meeting commences, Chancellor,” you requested, calmly, “Weaponry is generally not conducive to warm connections. You may, of course, keep your personal guards.” She glowered, but nodded, reluctantly. “I shall dismiss them when I am certain there is no threat,” she assured you, “But not before. It would not do for me to lose any of my people, or any StarFleet personnel today.” Conceding, you stepped back from her chair, and moved towards the other officials beside her, greeting each of them in turn. A loud bang, distinctive of scrapyard weaponry curled out of the forest. You moved immediately towards the sound, as each of the guards turned to it. “Return to the Chancellor,” you commanded, “Uhura, ensure she is safe.” One of the guards followed you, and you broke the barrier of trees as Hendorff ran in, hauling a drooping Smith. “We need to go,” he suggested, hurriedly. “Scotty, two to beam up – Hendorff and Smith,” you hissed into your communicator, watching them be engulfed in light. “Uhura, stay with the Chancellor.” You edged further into the forest, careful to shield yourself behind trees. “Ambassador, I believe you should return to the ship before attempting to initiate contact with the rebels,” Spock’s voice was firm in your comms. “This may be our only chance, Spock. They will not remain in contact after attacking StarFleet personnel,” you answered, still moving slowly forward. Once you were shielded on all sides by the trees, and could see the glimmer of movements in front of you, you crouched down again, readying your phaser.
“I am Ambassador (Y/N) (L/N) of the Star Ship Enterprise.” Your voice echoed into the forest. “We are here for a peaceful negotiation. There is still time to fix this if you meet us as equals. StarFleet will not operate on demands given at gunpoint, but we can find a fair solution for your people if you allow us to.” “They’ve already shot at them,” Bones pointed out, somewhere in the background of the bridge, “They’re pretty obviously hostile.” “I am Raegar of the Coridanites,” a voice echoed back. “We represent the people’s revolution. No freedom can be found for us in bureaucracy. What fairness will you give us when you associate with the same race that enslaves us through our government?” “StarFleet takes no sides in this,” you answered, keeping your voice carefully calm, even as you could hear them moving closer. “We are guided by all of our contributors, including Vulcans and Andorians, who helped found our Federation.” “And yet, there is no Andorian aboard your ship,” Raegar answered, and you pushed away a hand as it snatched at your neck. “But there is a Vulcan.” He took in a deep sniff, pressing close to you as you shoved him away. “Mm, and you’re close with it too. Is the Vulcan precious to you, Ambassador?” “You really should leave now, Y/N,” Spock urged, hurriedly. “I’m just a bit stuck at the moment,” you murmured back, kicking Raegar away and sprinting back towards the grove. “Beam Uhura back. I’ll return the Chancellor to the city and join you.” “Y/N...” Jim groaned, through the comms. “It is my responsibility as co-ordinator of the summit, Captain,” you responded, through harsh breaths, “No matter how little pleasure I take in it.” You re-entered the glade, just as Uhura was snatched up in the golden transporter beam. “Chancellor! We need to return to the city,” you reported, quickly, as the guards surrounded her. “Promptly.” “I knew this would happen,” she murmured, sadly, as you brought up the rear of the group. “The Andorians have them convinced we are hiding riches. But the truth is, there is just too little to go around. Especially with the Andorians stealing dilithium from under our very noses.” A grinding noise accompanied a familiar rumbling of the earth, and you groaned, silently. “Chancellor, do the rebels happen to have... tanks?” you queried, as trees began to thunder to the ground around the clearing you had just vacated. “Unfortunately, they were able to enter our scrapyard and steal some of the outdated models,” she answered, as the group picked up their pace, the city appearing in front of them. Or...the outskirts. The shantytown. Where the rebels were born and bred. “I’m not liking the look of what’s ahead,” you warned, and the guards slowed to a stop around the Chancellor. The shantytown was surrounded by a barrier of scrap metal, armed by a mixed group of ragged Coridanites and well-armoured Andorians. “Protect the Chancellor. I will consult the Andorians.” You flicked your comm to life. “Jim, I need you to contact the Andorian ambassador. There are Andorians supporting the rebels here. The imperial guard.” “That violates the Tau Ceti Accords,” Spock stated, shock clearly echoing in his ever-calm tone. “And not even subtly,” you responded, sighing. “I’m going to initiate contact with the head of the royal guard. I would ask for reinforcement, but I fear they will escalate the situation.” You moved towards the distinctive purple uniform.
“General Shran,” you greeted him, calmly. He shifted uncomfortably. “Ambassador (L/N), what a surprise!” he exclaimed, falsely. “I am sure you’re aware that due to your violation of the Tau Ceti Accords you and your companions will need to accompany me to the Star Ship Enterprise in order to raise this issue with your Chancellor.” “I am sure you realise, Ambassador, that you are outnumbered and on rather a back foot,” he responded, the fake smile falling from his lips. “And I am sure you remember, General, what I am capable of alone. Not to mention what the Enterprise and her crew are capable of,” you answered, easily. “This exchange is being recorded, so no matter what occurs, there will be consequences for this violation. It could be considered an act of war, and one would not like to rift the Federation between Vulcans and Andorians?” He swung at you, in an attempt to smash the neat comms device from the side of your head, but you ducked, launching your smaller body into him full-force, landing with him in a headlock on the ground. “Order your troops to stand down, General,” you commanded, coldly. He laughed, then tipped himself forward, flipping you over his head.
