i know in retellings draco always befriends hermione because he's a nerd or whatever but this morning i was thinking of a retelling where draco befriends ron because he literally just bribes him. like he sees that harry won't bother with him and lbr no one wanted to be friends with first year hermione but ron seems like he'd be easily bought and draco's dad told him those are the easiest people to get on your side. and also wouldn't it be fun to steal away harry potter's anointed best friend?

so he's like "i'm willing to forget you laughed at my name on the train" and literally just buys ron things until he stops being indignant. he buys him a new wardrobe. endless sweets and toys. he writes to his mother like "hello i'm working on something here can u help" and narcissa is immediately on board.

and ron totally is easily bought. he really is. he pretends to still hate draco but also his mother taught him some manners so it's only polite to accept the little git's gifts. his siblings are sick with jealousy, it's great.

and slowly ron's like "maybe he's not so bad" and progresses to "yes he's weird but i've gotten him to stop with the slurs so" to actual friendship that harry and hermione eventually come around to, too.

as true as the jokes about “everyone wants to rewrite ninjago” are i feel like smthn people forget when complaining about the inconsistencies of the show is that…. it wasn’t planned? it’s not like most other animated shows lately - it didn’t start with a deeply fleshed out world or a meticulously designed pitch bible with grandiose plans for a long-term story or character arcs. the ninja don’t originally get their powers from heredity because they weren’t hereditary powers yet. the magic system doesn’t make sense bc they literally just made it up as they went! they go back and forth on stuff like whether non-elementals can learn spinjitzu bc it’s a collaborative piece of media made by people with vastly different levels of control over the story, the animation, the sets, etc. that varied over the course of the series. it’s totally understandable and exciting to see so many people reworking the early stuff with the lore and logic later seasons introduced but i personally feel that… if you’re doing that. you need to understand why the show is like that instead of writing it off as being bad and shitty. it was working with what it had. it’s only what it is now because of that awkward troubleshooting phase, not in spite of it

So my buddy’s got a tuff Ford Mustang, and yet we always end up taking MY CAR.

I’m just glad it’s a 90s Mustang, so I can just be a normal amount of jealous. If it was a 60s Mustang I’d be foaming at the mouth I think

nah I’m kidding he’s absolutely not. (Ironically, he kinda reminds me ofJohnny Cade personality-wise tbh) He’s also thinking of replacing the Mustang w/ a boring normal car because, as he says, “It’s sort of irresponsible for me, a high schooler, to own a Mustang, y’know?”

I do not know. If I had a MUSTANG I would absolutely NOT replace it with a STATION WAGON. But I’m the impulsive one in our dynamic i guess- we’re a whole lot like Cameron and Ferris Bueller lol

(also do you know how hard it is to impress girls when your car is covered in scratches, has mismatched side mirrors, and is extremely boring looking?? So hard. I mentioned this to him once and it went like:

Watched a vtuber video once and youtube started spamming me with other vtubers videos (which are mostly 3D anime girl boobs).

The facial expressions of some are extremely well done and It's giving me strong urges to make 3D models of my OCs and make them vtuber models so I can see my characters moving.
