idk if you have any ocs but. free space if you do tell us about them go
Okay so I have a lot of OCs mainly because one of my prime hobbies is making D&D character sheets for characters I'm never gonna play + I used to (sometimes still do but not as often) imagine stories in my head to get myself to sleep. But I'm gonna stay on the most recent characters and universes so I can stay coherent. Anyway :
First D&D characters :
Hawthorn - Half-elf, Light Cleric 11/Revenge Paladin 3, he's a vampire hunter who's been cursed by a vampire who bit his tongue when he was young, which made it black and sickly. For this reason, a nickname he got is 'Black Tongue'. He's absolutely, brutally angry towards any vampire he crosses, and will try to kill them at any cost. Terrifyingly powerful, he can do like, 130 damage per turn in optimal conditions (without using spell slots every turn).
His personal arc would be to go against a Dark Lord vampire, Strahd-style, only to be revealed that the lord is a Scourge, a lich type from Pointy Hat that resurrects into the body of their most hated enemy whenever they die. After killing it once, it'd come back to life by using their mentor/friend/etc., and would have to try to kill the vampire once and for all, knowing he's the next on the list if he fails.
Phull - Half-orc/Hexblood, Archfey Warlock 3. He's an orc who was kidnapped by a hag in his early childhood, and raised to become a hag, but he escaped eventually and found his way to the Court of Summer, where a kind fey found him and kept him under their wing, and where he lived for most of his teenage years. He then entered a contract with Titania, archfey of the Court of Summer, in exchange for service (and also top surgery). He then went on to travel the world. He's not really accepted by either orcs or hags, because he's visibly too much hag or not enough, and people don't like either of those too much in general, so even if he tries to be nice and agreeable, he often gets the blame if something goes badly. He tries to stay optimistic, though. (Huge trans vibes, yeah)
Raphael d'Argazzo - Human, Swashbuckler Rogue 3. Your stereotypical prettyboy mercenary/duelist, he comes from a relatively minor noble family, so he's a baronet, but that's one of those titles you can just buy if you're well-off, like his grandparents were. He's one of many siblings and cousins, and while things are going well with his family, it's clear he's not the one they brag about or stuff, just... a good kid, who spreads their name sometimes when does cool stuff, but nothing more.
His arc would involve him in the underworld to find a too-soon dead lover of his (and he had many, so that's saying something). To gain access and stay in the underworld, however, he'd need to pay a price, a price made of his memories. He'd be given a deck of cards, and each card would be a part of his memories (friends, lovers, family, glories, losses, etc.). A twist would be that he already had given up the memory of his love's death, but that also removed all his memories of her. The whole theme would be "you have to remember your mistakes. It will hurt, it won't be worth it, it will feel horrible, for the rest of your life, but that's the only way you'll be able to go forward".
Next is Kasneon the Great (Kas for short), statistically Brass Dragonborn, Draconic sorcerer 5, but in reality, he's a very young (120) Brass dragon (he kinda looks like tiny Rak from Tower of God, if you got the ref). He's very full of himself, as most dragons are, but it's very funny cause his physique does not match that heightened view at all. He also curses a lot (except when his mom's listening), so when someone finds him cute, he answers "I'm 120, motherfucker!"
Achleïs, human, Shadow Sorcerer 3. One of, if not the most wet cat sad backstory characters I've made. He comes from a bloodline cursed by an evil goddess who has to give up their firstborn to her, and it happened to be him :D Since he was like 7, he was forced out of his home and left to fend for himself, under the ever watchful eye of the goddess. He's extremely frail and weak, with dark eyebags, because of constant malnourishment and sleeping in the cold (literally 8 in both Strength and Constitution). He's a very good spellcaster, however, and can scare the shit out of most normal people (a good example would be using shadow sorcerer Darkness (which he can see through), Deafness then Inflict Wounds from a distance with Distant spell).
I also have something that is more a persistent idea than finished OCs, but I have a cast of characters that are all black activist figures :
It would consist of a Bard of Eloquence (for the obvious MLK parallel), an Oath of Justice (custom subclass) paladin (for the people in frontlines in protest and direct action), an Celestial Warlock grandma, who uses her faith to conjure miracles (because I fucking love gospel music and a singing grandma conjuring an angel is fucking dope), and finally, the only one that has a name and an arc is Aaron, a Rogue-or-Fighter/Sorcerer, with fire magic, who beats up cops and brings his friends out of jail, and over the course of the story learns to be more 'heroic' (he helps out, protect people he doesn't know, and learn that beating up cops is cool but also community building and communal action is necessary).
That's all my recent D&D characters, the next characters are from a comic I wanna make called Harpy Story, a fantasy coming-of-age story at the edge between a magical forest and a village. I want the supernatural elements in there to be a bit about queerness but mainly about disability-
Evne, the protagonist, is a half-harpy, cast off from his people at a young age and left to die in the forest. He's rescued and adopted by a hag (the hag mother), and he lives under her wing all of his childhood. He has big wings (like, they go down to his feet) that he uses to fly- He's very nimble, energetic and gets attached quickly, but also prone to be judgemental or hold grudges.
Isaac, a human in the village nearby, is his love interest, and is the son of a priest that deals with the forest's supernatural inhabitants. Most people think that means chasing or banishing, but he simply talks with them and makes deals to keep his village safe. When Isaac gets older however, something happens (that I don't wanna get into detail because maybe some time I'll pull myself together and draw this).
I also have a custom D&D setting and a realistic world that I'm worldbuilding currently, but they're still pretty new and disparate, so I won't post them in there (maybe in another post, who knows).

Today has been such a good Saturday!! I woke up, had some green tea, did my morning stretches, went for a run (in 75-degree weather with 75% humidity, which was a slog), and walked Westin. I had a cool shower to cool off, and continued my Curse of Strahd D&D campaign with Derek. We only have around 4 sessions left, which is :(
We went out for dinner, and then walked and watched Reign afterward. I got to write with Westin by my side, too. ❤️
Being more intentional about how I spend my time over these past few weeks has been paying off. I've been able to have more time for writing, and I love and appreciate that. Writing by hand in my notebook is still going really well.
I used to be a morning runner in spring of 2020, when I first got into running. I am trying to transition back into running in the morning rather than the evening, whenever I don't have meetings in the morning to contend with. I do like having the evenings free when I run in the morning. Two morning runs down, and hopefully more to come.
A couple of Derek's cousins are coming over to play board games tomorrow, but I hope there will be some down time in the day as well. :)

Alisya, mechanical pencil and photoshop, 2017
After Mihos died in Curse of Strahd, I decided to roll up a Vistani character. The portrayal of the Vistani in CoS aren’t great, unfortunately leaning more towards being a Romani stereotype than anything else, but both my DM and I went out of our way to make sure that they had more depth to them. Alisya was a Hexblade with an attitude, and I played her through the first half of 2017 until we finished the campaign. She was Arabelle’s 16 year old punk cousin, who smoked a pipe because she thought it made her look cool and had aspirations of becoming a magical tattoo artist. The magic tattoos were part of a homebrew, and the one on her forehead would grant truesight for short periods of time. Her flail was possessed by the ghost of Nicolette von Zarovich, who didn’t think Strahd was the rightful ruler of Barovia, thus giving her motivation to join the party.
Part two of my Dungeons and Dragons characters! Really don’t know why I never posted any of them on tumblr.

Echec https://archiveofourown.org/works/17621669/chapters/41545499
Everyone writes a story during their school years, right? This was mine, a fantasy story. It’s funny looking back at it, like it was written by a complete stranger. Anyway, posting it here just so, yeah, it can get out and breathe a little.
Carrion Crown: Necromancer https://archiveofourown.org/works/14045709/chapters/32352144
Based on Pathfinder’s Carrion Crown campaign comes an adult Alice in Wonderland/Spirited Away kinkfest odyssey set in Tian-Xia’s Shenmen.
A campaign I’m rewriting for an original take
Spoilers: Carrion Crown campaign adventure path (Pathfinder/3.5e)
Curse of the Crimson Throne: Courtesan https://archiveofourown.org/works/13214445/chapters/30227490

An ongoing campaign (I’m not DMing)
Spoilers: Curse of the Crimson Throne campaign adventure path (Pathfinder/3.5e)
Council of Thieveshttps://archiveofourown.org/works/13124619/chapters/30025215
Based on Pathfinder’s Council of Thieves campaign comes the action-packed (seriously, there are so many fight scenes) story of an assassin turned homeless millennial forced to grow up during a time of political turmoil (huhhh, wonder what ever could have inspired that…).
A campaign that I DMed!!!
Spoilers: Council of Thieves campaign adventure path (Pathfinder/3.5e)
Dragpocalypse: An Unofficial Pathfinder Campaign Settinghttps://www.fanfiction.net/s/12733453/1/Dragpocalypse-A-Dragonrider-s-Unofficial-Pathfinder-Campaign-Setting
This is a campaign setting for a world with a dominant society of dragons intended for a Dragonrider campaign, but maybe it’d be a cool world for your campaign!
Song of the Beast: Total Conversion of Curse of Strahd 5e (as an Over the Garden Wall campaign) https://www.fanfiction.net/s/12811869/1/Song-of-the-Beast-Curse-of-Strahd-5e-Total-Conversion
The idea is simple: use the mechanics and set-up of Curse of Strahd to tell an Over the Garden Wall type story. Creatures and encounters and all basically just have different flavor and maybe ability alterations-that kind of thing. The biggest changes are to the overlying story.

skritched out my newest dnd character
her name is catra von sisse
which is a pun on quatre vingt six
which is 86 in french
which is, i think diner slang? to nix something?
but she nixes people and things that get in the way of her fists
all of the rest of the names of people in her backstory are mangled french puns, too. i have two separate characters in there named big dick energy? one of which is her grandma? and her scheming cousins are named lousy fuck and stupid fuck.
i love her so much even though she’s in two separate campaigns of curse of strahd and she’s gonna fucking die a lot, probably, because she still thinks everything is fake and dumb even though she’s right in the middle of a gothic horror novel.
her greatest hits so far include wearing 400-year-old, too-small servants’ clothes around a haunted house for no discernible reason, punching the head off of a ghost who did nothing worse than spook her, propositioning some folks for a threesome and finding out they were really into biting, parkouring over our edgy bloodborne hunter and stealing his kill, lazily throwing darts down a hallway at a boss twice her level while the rest of her party fought in melee range, and nearly getting herself killed over a cool top hat she really wanted to steal.

8, 14, 17 for the dnd asks!
thank you!!!!
8: what does your dream dice set look like?
hmmm i’m not sure…. definitely blue. probably that etheral yeti one miho sent yesterday that i fell in love with haha they’re so pretty!!!!!
14: what inspired you to make your character?
i guess i’ll go through each of them.
norixius kava, dragonborn paladin (out of the abyss). this was my first one and i had no idea how dnd worked haha at all. in the car on the way to my cousins place, i was driving, and my dad and brother were reading through the books and talking about the races and classes and stuff and explaining to me bc obvi i couldnt read them bc i was driving haha. anyway we got to my cousins place and each of them paired up w the three of us to help make our first characters and we rolled for stats and they asked if i had anything i wanted to play and i was like “idk dragonborn sounds really cool” and they were like thats as good a reason as any, and then they suggested paladin would work well w my stats so i was like sure why not and did it haha. she survived the campaign, to level 11
matilda, human monk (curse of strahd). this was point buy system. i had mentioned seeing a homebrew avatar thing, so one of my cousins mentioned how way of the four elements monk is like the avatar, so i read through it and thought it sounded cool. i took the mobile feat, and went way of open hand instead. in this campaign we had a fight where four characters died outright (three deaths due to natural 1s in the death saves) and only two survived, including matilda. the dm mentioned taking the dead people to another room to discuss what to do and i was like “nah brian and i will just move since we’re the only alive one and theres more of you”. they ended up becoming revernants (idk spelling) but i suggested adding a caveat in place where every time you died as a revernant, you lost 1hp from your max, which we did. we then abandoned this campaign after 4 levels bc my uncle who was dm-ing was having trouble finding the time to read the campaign
jamnugget, gnome fighter (arcane archer) (storm kings thunder). this was rolling stats. one cousin rolled between 13 and 18 for every stat, and after race ability improvements got all 14-18…. so he multiclassed all of them and got to level 12 as one of each class it was a beautiful amalgamation (omg i spelt that correctly first try haha). then someone else rolled three single digit stats but was told he wasnt allowed to reroll so he became a druid for wildshape. he had -2 con, so only adding 3hp per level, starting at 6hp. 3rd level before he got double digits. if you averaged the rolls of these two you got normal stats haha. anyway onto my character. my cousin suggested the arcane archer thing on unearthed arcana so i was like “sure ok”. turns out you only got two magic arrows per rest thing and they werent very good so i hardly used them. the sharpshooter feat was way better. the best part tho was bc we were fighting so many giants, at one point someone cast fly on me, someone else cast greater invisibility on me, someone else gave me bless, so then i went in a chased a giant just shooting him on my own while everyone else was doing something else it was great. i also accidentally succeeded on an intimidation check bc an npc was saying “im sure we could handle a giant” when we asked about that and i was like “ive killed 15 myself” (bc we were keeping tallies on our sheets) and the guy panicked bc was technically in an alliance w them whoops. jamnugget survived the campaign. six of the seven original characters survived to the end, my brother went through four characters
maegrakka, half elf barbarian. we were told to make characters for a quick one shot dungeon thing for when storm kings thunder dm wasnt able to make it. so i made a barbarian bc i decided that was something i hadnt done yet and would be easy to just make (no spells. i have a strong aversion to spell casters). i think shes level 3 now???? every time we play this everyones like “wait whats my character again” bc its so long in between haha
nissa, human rogue 1 monk 2. one shot a friend wanted to dm before he moved to canberra. it was very fun. i made a monk bc i was desperate to play again bc matilda had been abandoned. i added a rogue level for sneak attack damage, w mobile feat, it was great
clover, human fighter 11 or 12, monk 3 or 4. level 15 fight to the death situation. i knew how powerful the arcane archer stuff was so i did it here. monk levels were to give me back up in case i got engaged in melee. i shouldve had some sort of healing that was my downfall. my first character to die bc three of them were ganging up on me!!
meredith, elf wizard (tomb of annihilation). we started off playing as commoners, as servants to this lord guy. so i was a librarian and realised id have to be a wizard dammit. i hated the spell casting part haha. she died. its funny bc my dads character died at first level, then we levelled up. brians character died at second level, then we levelled up. they were also sitting next to each other. i was sitting in the next seat along so was worried i was also gonna die… then my brother took that seat and died instead. so i was like there is definitely a curse. i was in the next seat along, and then one of my cousins. then came a fight where my cousin next to me turned to stone and then i died. turns out he could come back to life so the death seat thing continued. we levelled up to level 4 after my brother and i died in separate sessions in the same location. also my dad and brian died in the same location in separate session. so now theres multiple patterns - theres the “someone needs to die to level up” thing, and the death seat thing, and the two characters dying in the same location in separate sessions thing. w my cousin who got turned to stone, i keep on insisting he stays in the death seat bc either he dies (death seat) or he doesnt (he tricked death w the stone thing so is now immune), and if he doesnt die either it skips him and my uncle dies, or no one else dies ever. its very exciting haha. also w this campaign theres a map thing only the og characters can see and we’re joking how now only three characters left can see it and you can see how my cousin the dm is getting worried that we’ll all die haha. also the campaign is about how the og characters lord got sick and we need to find a cure, but once the og characters die then who cares about the random lord? itll be very funny haha
elenoa, tabaxi monk (tomb of annihilation). since i started at level 4 here, and matildas campaign got abandoned at level 4, it felt fitting to play a monk again. no mobile feat yet, but im playing the sun soul monk from xanathars which gives a radiant punch w a range of 30 ft so i dont need to get close to punch and then use mobile to run away.
i havent even talked about where the names for each one came from….. maybe another time if asked……..
17: what is your favourite race?
idk actually. the only races ive ever played multiple times are humans, but altogether ive played longer as a dragonborn or gnome than human so like. theres not super much difference in the races in phb, like its just flavour. the new races and stuff have heaps extra stuff, but tabaxi is the only one of them ive ever played and only two sessions so far. i think humans are cool bc you get a feat at level 1 haha but other than that theres not really much difference in them yknow? races w darkvision make things easier too haha but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
thank you for these asks!!! it took so long to respond haha im gonna be late to uni now (bc still in pjs havent made lunch or brushed teeth or anything and if i wanna be on time i gotta leave in the next 15 minutes so maybe ill just…… skip this lecture lol idk haha
