Inron Teranir, Gouache and Micron pen, 2018
Born to a noble Elven family, Inron was blessed at birth by an angel to become an Aasimar. However, sometimes the instructions that the angel gave him went directly against Inron’s own morals, and when he was a child he met a Devil named Glibgur. Glib offered him power far beyond what he had, and Inron took the deal. Granted, later in life Inron would make deals with all sorts of different beings, including Asmodeus king of the nine hells. And then he killed Asmodeus and took over the hells himself.
Part three of Dungeons and Dragons characters! Inron belongs to my boyfriend, who played him for nearly a year (though there was a stretch where Inron got a cursed sword, killed my character, and ran off, but he came back eventually) and is easily one of the funnest party members I’ve ever had. For most of the campaign he was a Fiend Pact Warlock, though his exact class changed multiple times throughout the campaign.

Alisya, mechanical pencil and photoshop, 2017
After Mihos died in Curse of Strahd, I decided to roll up a Vistani character. The portrayal of the Vistani in CoS aren’t great, unfortunately leaning more towards being a Romani stereotype than anything else, but both my DM and I went out of our way to make sure that they had more depth to them. Alisya was a Hexblade with an attitude, and I played her through the first half of 2017 until we finished the campaign. She was Arabelle’s 16 year old punk cousin, who smoked a pipe because she thought it made her look cool and had aspirations of becoming a magical tattoo artist. The magic tattoos were part of a homebrew, and the one on her forehead would grant truesight for short periods of time. Her flail was possessed by the ghost of Nicolette von Zarovich, who didn’t think Strahd was the rightful ruler of Barovia, thus giving her motivation to join the party.
Part two of my Dungeons and Dragons characters! Really don’t know why I never posted any of them on tumblr.

Mihos Fontaine, gouache and micron pen, 2017
I played Mihos in Curse of Strahd from fall 2016 to winter 2017, at which point his shadow came to life and strangled him. He was a pathological liar with my attempt at a French accent, which usually sounded a lot more German than French. He was a Fighter/Rogue multiclass, who actually wound up using a crossbow more than his rapier. Rest in Pieces my dude, the party missed you, kind of.
Since I’m rebooting this blog for a class, I figure I may as well upload some of my personal work! Most of it will be Dungeons and Dragons characters I’ve played, since that's what most of my more finalized work is these days. Ah, having a hobby you can do with friends is great.

So I finally got around to making a Vimeo! Go me!
Here’s my Principles of Screen Design final, the assignment of which was to use found audio to create an animatic with completely different context. While most of my classmates used clips from movies and TV shows (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia and Parks and Recreation were popular picks), I used audio from an old episode of Game Grumps. It’s extremely rough since we only had a week to do it.

So! This is the first time I’ve ever animated a person, which is pretty exciting. The project was to have a character ring a doorbell in order to study successive breaking of joints. Originally she was going to have a wagon full of cookies and after she rang the doorbell a trapdoor would open and the cookies would fall through, but I ran out of time. Sorry the quality’s pretty atrocious!

This time, have some sequences! We had a model who did poses with a katana and a staff and taught us about Kendo.

Here’s a stamp I made in illustrator for my Advanced Computer Arts class. There wasn’t really a prompt beyond “make a stamp yo” so I did a character from thing I’ve been writing.

China marker on newsprint, 2 minute poses
I figure I’ll just kick off this art blog with some life drawing for my Animation 100 class. The male model had some really rad tattoos, including this giant tree going up his leg. My life drawing’s a bit rusty but I’m getting better I think!
