Hey folks! Itsssssssssssss timeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee for another dungeon meshi cooking time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Isnt that neat.
Its weird to think how long its gonna be before season 2 of the anime drops. Anyway go read the manga i promise you wont regret it. This ones from senshis lil garden on legs-
Today we'll be making Golem Field Fresh Veggie Lunch!
(As always you can find the cooking instructions and full ingredient list under the break-)
MY NAMES CROSS NOW LETS COOK LIKE ANIMALS
SO, “what goes in to Golem Field Fresh Veggie Lunch?” YOU MIGHT ASKIts vegetables, vegetable wauter, and not Much else! Knife is there too.
Head of cabbage
4 carrots
3 potatoes
2 onions
2 turnips
Thick slice bacon
Butter
Seasoned rice vinegar
I lied theres pork did you fall for it did u catch it.
AND, “what does Golem Field Fresh Veggie Lunch taste like?” YOU MIGHT ASKSon, have you ever eaten a vegetabel
Broth is surprisingly flavorful considering the limited spices and short cooktime
Potatoes are perfect texture for dipping
Cabbage absorbed a lot of the juices!!!
Was more impressed by the salad part of the meal-
The turnips need to be sliced enough to Barely see through, and the carrots julienned thin enough to be almost peels
And its this wonderful vegetable confetti tasteful in its simple pleasure
Rice vinegar of any kind will work, seasoned rice vinegar is just what i had
Salt both parts of the meal generously
In the future i wouldve shredded or cut the cabbage much smaller. We'll talk more on that later. Its also intentionally barebones with spices and oils, me using butter and rice vinegar is even pushing the limits of show accurate because in the show they used plain olive oil.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
From idea to execution, this was a very quick recipe. For starters, nothing gets cooked all that long (the water spends more time empty than it does ingredient'ed) and for lasters nothing gets cut all that much. It was tricky finding good sources for stewing a whole cabbage because most recipes call for either shredding or at least chopping smaller. And they do this for a reason. Its unwieldy trying to eat a whole half of cabbage, you never quite know when to start or where to start. Do you bite chunks out? Peel leaves? Spear it with other things? I dont know. I still dont. Im not a huge raw cabbage fan and it wasnt raw, but it wasnt transformed much either. Minimalist.
This was a feast in the show and i bet that the freshness of the veggies were a factor, considering they were plucked fresh off the living rock guys. I wouldve killed to be able to brown the onions, roast the carrots, or maybe cube the potatoes (though the consistency was perfect for forking and dipping them in butter so! Bonuses.)
Oven roast bacon is a beloved treet for me. It seemed to absorb some of the vegetable broth and vice versa with the broth absorbing the oils from the bacon, which enhanced all the flavors. Maybe in the future itd be nice to try cooking the bacon a bit ahead, and then adding it to the pot while everythings boiling? Also adding a spritz of lemon juice to either/both is always nice!
I give this recipe a solid 7/10 (with 1 being food that makes one physically sick and 10 being food that gives one a lust for life again.) for its simplicity. With modifications like shredding the cabbage and more seasonings, it could become an easy 10/10. hit that like and subscribe or kill me
🐁 ORIGINAL RESIPPY TEXT BELOW 🐁
Ingredients:
Head of cabbage
4 carrots
3 russet potatoe
2 white onions
2 turnips
10 slices of thick slice bacon
Butter
Seasoned Rice vinegar
Stew Method:
Preheat your oven to 400f. Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil and place a baking rack on top (alternatively you can use a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper and no baking rack. but the baking rack lets the air circulate better and the grease drip off!)
Cook your bacon for about 18 minutes or until crisp. Flip halfway through.
Chop your carrots, peel and slice your potatos in half, and slice your onions into rings.
Get a large pot with a tight fitting lid, add water, salt, your carrots, your potato pieces, and your onions. Cover and heat to a low boil.
Cut the cabbage head in half down the middle. Once the pot is boiling, carefully add your cabbage to the pot and arrange the halves so theyre fully covered.
Cover and cook for about 13 minutes, the cabbage should be slightly crisp but have give to them.
Remove from heat and laddle contents into a bowl, arrange some of your bacon along the sides so the fat and the broth mix :) salt and pepper to taste. And get a little saucer for butter so you can dip the potato pieces and/or coat the cabbage pieces.
Salad Method:
Peel your carrots and turnips. Cut off the ends of both. Julienne your carrots, and thinly slice your turnips.
Add your carrot greens (or your chosen leaf filler) to a bowl, then add your carrots and turnips.
Coat with seasoned rice vinegar, salt, and pepper. Thoroughly mix and enjoy :)

omg can u kindly drop the tortellini soup recipe....every time my wife makes regular tortellini i get so excited & to find out there's a SOUP FORM?? game changer
YES OFC tortellini nation rise!!!!!!
here is the recipe that he loosely follows.
he adds basil and he replaces onions with shallots and celery with green onion stalks!! definitely add your own seasonings to taste bc it can be pretty plain otherwise (he just kinda vibes with whatever he feels like using that day). we also make our own tomato sauce with fresh tomatoes as opposed to buying it canned, which adds abt forty minutes onto the total cooktime but imo is so worth it >:)
#it is so creamy and delicious i am obsessed#he also makes garlic bread with it which is THE cherry on top#ilysm hope u like it!!!!!!!#letters#druidgroves

Nearly Sorta Kinda Hummus
(aka roasted garlic and chickpea spread)
Soak 1 cup of dry chickpeas in water with 1 tsp baking soda mixed in overnight (or all day while you are away at work/school/etc)
Drain and cover with fresh water in oven safe pot with a lid.
Put the pot on a drip pan of some sort to prevent boil overs from dripping on your oven floor. Put the whole set into a cold oven.
In another pan put a whole head of garlic rubbed all over with olive oil. Use 2 if you really love roasted garlic.
This setup can sit there until you are ready to cook. This is great if you have a programmable oven, or a housemate able to turn on the oven at the right time for you.
When the oven gets up to 350°F, set cooktime 45 minutes. When garlic is fragrant, take it out before it burns (about 45 min) Let it cool while the chickpeas finish, and peel by clipping the tips off and then squeezing into a bowl.
Check to see if chickpeas are soft. Probably not. They are likely to need another 15 min to half hour.
When chickpeas are very soft, use a slotted spoon to take them out and put in bowl with the roasted garlic. Add a hefty drizzle of good tasting olive oil and a little salt. Mash until smooth and blended. Yes, a blender works great for this, but a spoon should also work.
Adjust salt to taste. Add a little of the bean water from the cook pot if needed.
Serve with a little more oil on top. Optional shake of Zatar or paprika or drizzle of balsamic vinegar.
Why is this not hummus? No tahini, no lemon.
So texture is less like a creamy sauce/dip, and more like a thick spread like peanut butter.
Very delicious, slightly different. Also easy, cheap and healthy.

Crunchy Broccoli Salad with Tahini Dressing
I love to eat broccoli, but I don’t love to eat it raw and most broccoli salads use raw broccoli. That’s the very reason I was attracted to this Crunchy Broccoli Salad with Tahini Dressing! The broccoli is blanched just long enough to make it tender, bright green and really tasty. Combined with chopped red cabbage, sweet dates, spicy chili cashews and a creamy tahini dressing…this is a beautiful, delicious and healthy salad.
{"image":"https://i.imgur.com/vOw0AdQ.png","name":"Crunchy Broccoli Salad with Tahini Dressing","prepTime":"PT15M","cookTime":"PT10M","totalTime":"PT25M","description":"Delicious, crunchy, satisfying and slightly addictive!","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"Suzanne Smith"},"recipeIngredient":["2 large heads broccoli cut into small florets","2 cups shredded purple cabbage","1 cup chopped Medjool dates (I used a little more)","1-1/2 cups cashews","1 teaspoon chili powder","Avocado oil","Dressing - I doubled the recipe!","Generous 1/2 cup tahini","1/4 cup warm water to thin dressing","2 heaping tablespoons honey","2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar","Flakey sea salt to taste"],"recipeInstructions":["Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.","Toss the cashews with avocado oil and chili powder and season with salt. Roast in the oven for about 10 minutes, watching to make sure they don't burn.","Bring a large pot of water to a boil and prepare a large bowl with ice water. Blanch broccoli florets by adding them to the boiling water for about two minutes and then quickly place them in the ice bath for one minute. Remove from the ice and pat dry with paper towels.","Add broccoli to a large mixing bowl, along with the chopped cabbage, cashews, and dates. Whisk together the dressing ingredients and pour over, tossing to ensure the ingredients are evenly coated. Serve and Enjoy!"],"@context":"http://schema.org","@type":"Recipe"}
Besides being delicious, this salad packs a real nutritional punch…
Dates are rich in copper, selenium and magnesium which are very important nutrients to keep your bone healthy and prevent bony related disorders. It is also rich in vitamin K which helps to regulate the coagulation of blood and helps metabolize your bones.
Cashews are low in sugar and rich in fiber, heart-healthy fats, and plant protein. They're also a good source of copper, magnesium, and manganese — nutrients important for energy production, brain health, immunity, and bone health.
Broccoli is also a good source of vitamins C, K1, and A, as well as folate (and other B vitamins), potassium, iron, manganese, and calcium.

i only had one egg left so i boiled it. total cooktime was about 20 minutes (6 or so to boil the water, 12 to cook, 4 to shock it) and i ate the thing in 1 minute. it was so decadent, so delicious and the fleeting nature of the delicacy as well as the ratio of time to make vs time to enjoy made it all the sweeter. so this is your reminder that sometimes there’s a lot of hard work that goes into a very short payoff, but it’s always gonna be worth it

CORRECT! Thank you!
I shall now expound upon this, because FOOD IS LITERALLY LIFE.
It would definitely be more correct to call a 1-hour meal a soup or a chowder rather than a stew; however, this is English, so there are *technically* two possibilities that could be exceptions:
There are regions/localized dialects where any thick soup is considered a stew (localization obvs, but I know this for sure to be true in the deep south and certain parts of Appalachia in the US. Are there more? Most fantasies have ancient Europe vibes, tho . . . so no.).
One can actually make a stew out of a pre-cooked meat which has been braised for a long period of time. So grumpy knight could make a stew if he had some pre-braised meat on him--but this is saucy and difficult to carry--so unless knightbro just left an inn the morning of, he probably wouldn't go to the trouble of carrying a vial or bottle of braised meat around on a long journey because it would go rancid after a day.
Points where due, though, rabbit is actually a pretty good choice because it does actually cook pretty quickly (comparable to chicken cooktimes) when cut into smallish pieces, so it could be done in an hour, but NO ONE wants to carry a freaking stockpot and enough potatoes or arrowroot powder (god forbid cornstarch in most fantasies) to make a really thick soup.
SO, a much more likely scenario for a thick, stew-like mixture is a roux made with the rabbit rendered fat (never remove the fat, people! I hate reading those descriptions, because it's not how food works! Fat is where the flavor and moisture come from! You were raised by boomers, it's not your fault--or their fault for the record.)
Anyway, render the fat, drop in a few tablespoons of flour till golden brown, and then gently add water, whatever veggies or herbs AND SALT oc, and voila, you have something edible.
Make sure someone is carrying a pan in your writing--for the love of all that is holy!
Or, just, you know. Have knightbro do rabbit on a stick.
Just a small pet peeve for everyone that writes (fan) fiction where people camp in the woods: stew takes HOURS.
The grumpy knight is not serving the sunshine princess the best stew she's ever had in the Forest of Dread an hour after he's rescued her.
Even if Jaskier is a much better cook, unless he also happy to wait 4 - 6 hours, rabbit on a stick it is.
Pubs, restaurants and inns would have stew, because they had the time and opportunity to keep a pot on the fire for a day. (Fun fact, they often had perpetual stews where they just keep chucking things in and ladling out).
Outdoors is grilled, inside is stewed.

At what time is a SPIRITUAL ⏳ pressure-cooker "done"? For each person, the ⏰🍲⬆️ cooktime differs.
In the midst of a San Diego homeless citizenry we serve, individuals who are broken and hungry are at different levels/stages, one to another. None are hurting, EQUALLY.
My only Brother John was able to help this charity ⬆️, by putting care packages together BEFORE he wound up in critical condition.
John is, on Valentine's Day, weighing the risks/rewards of deciding to stay in Heaven, or return to Earth. He is STILL in a ✝️⏳ pressure-cooker.

Pilgrim's Popcorn Chicken x Influenster
Pilgrim’s Popcorn Chicken is perfect when I don’t have a lot of time. It’s quick and easy to prepare. It’s 4 minutes total in the microwave, 2 minutes cooktime and 2 minutes to standtime. It’s flavorful. It’s tender and juicy. Out of the microwave, it’s not crisp; but it does have that nicely breaded texture. It’s delightful on its own or on top of salad. Originally, I purchased this for my…
