Shameless - Wintery head canons
That's true, Winter is only in one month. But it's already November, and I'm pretty obsessed by cosi winter situations Shameless characters could live when life offers them a break. So, this is some head-canons: *After a working day, the Gallaghers are sharing a diner, the more often lasagnas, spaghetti , chili, or a chicken or bif stew. In the first seasons, Fiona is cookingthe more often, or Kev and V are bringing something. After, in later seasons, Liam or Ian are taking the meals in charge. During their time in the Gallagher house, Mickey helps, cuting vegetables or checking something cooking. He complains a lot, but stays with Ian in the kitchen, untile it's over. *When there is a black out, people who are in Gallagher's house when it happends are frustrated. Then, they are organizing themself to spend a good moment together. They are gathering blankets, pillows and candles to create cocoons in the living room. They are playing cards or other games, then fall asleep where they can, staying in the same space. Mickey is a little unconfortable to cuddle with Ian in front of his siblings, but can't help to spooning with him. *The morning coffee is a important rithual in the Gallagher house. In winter, it is even more. One random morning, Tami brings back lattes and capuckchinos from Starbucks. Mickey and Debbie makes fun at her telling that it's ridiculously expensive, but Mickey doesn't hate that, and lets Ian take him to the Starbucks regularly after that. *With snow in the pavments, and cold wind, Ian and Mickey are both feeling something particular when they are walking in the street together. From time to time, they go to take a drink at the Aliby then can't wait to go home, to wrap under the covers together. *Ian often makes jokes about Mickey's gloves, telling that he always has frozen hands. One day he steals the gloves, when Mickey is busy somewhere else, replace them by more warmths. *In particularly cold evening, Ian puts his hand in Mickey's coat pocket in order to be close to him. The first time, Mickey flinch a little, surprised, then leans to the contact. Later, it's him, who's gonna put his hand in Ian's pocket.

The art in cooking
If there is one thing i am not consistently good / professional at - yet i still love doing it - is cooking.
As a wife, for me, it is important. I have learnt a lot of little skills of it, especially since the beginning of my marriage. Years passed, i become a mom. I learnt a lot more even, especially when my child started to eat adult’s food. Cooking food that he enjoys, is really heartwarming. Double-triple heartwarming than that of with his father. I think because kid is more innocent than an adult can be. (Daddy, i don’t love you less. I hope i won’t, may Allah protect our marriage and make it last till jannah.)
Back to topic! Other than heartwarming, i find people who can cook gorgeous too! Not physically but in terms of skill. A gorgeous skill. Cause not everyone is talented in it.
Oh, when people say the secret ingredient is “love.” I believe in that. A gorgeous skill that needs the secret ingredient called love.
Yet, that love gotta come with humbling sincerity too. What i mean is, it ain’t the kind of saying; i cook and share this because i gotta brag of it arrogantly. No… it is the kind of; i cook because it makes me happy to see my family (and myself) happy eating my food. Even when im not very good at it. I always try my best to be good at it
Another good thing about cooking is; it is cost-effective than dining in a restaurant / take-outs. With that extra money you saved from cooking. You get to buy other things you love as well. Or more portion for savings/investments. Hows that sound?
Yet… i do not dismiss the idea of dining in a restaurant / take-outs. Cause, come on, i love eating other food too!
Cooking is a form of art. Art you create with love, sincerity and being humble about it: will make great masterpiece for the right viewers. It may be little, it may be a lot. But always do what is right. My viewer in my “cooking art” is my husband and son.
Sometimes they love the art, sometimes they love it less. It is okay. Not everything gotta be perfect. One thing they should (and i believe they do) know: i try my best - always!
Let us appreciate this art of cooking. Within our means. Every little and big thing matters!
Cheers.

Letter to My Centennial Self: Reflections on a Life Well-Lived
Write a letter to your 100-year-old self. Dear 100-Year-Old Me, I hope this letter finds you well, happy, and surrounded by loved ones. As I write this, I am in my prime, with all of life’s possibilities still ahead of me. You, on the other hand, have already lived an incredibly long and fulfilling life. I want to take a moment to reflect on some of the things that I hope you have experienced…

A little peek at last night dinner in our house. The combination of spices from this country was truly amazing and very unique. My favorites were the Tanzanian pilau rice and the beef Mshikaki. Skewers are traditional street food found across the globe, but this Tanzanian version was so tasty that even my husband said the meat had the best spice rub he had ever had (I’m planning on sharing all the recipes after I get to update my old blog). Fun fact: Did you know that Tanzanian’s food has Indian and Portuguese influence? One of the best things about doing this personal culinary journey is the random facts I get to learn from all the countries I get to cook. #homemadecooking #tanzanianfood #cookingthe🌎🍽 #tastingtheworldonebiteatatime (at Saint Petersburg, Florida) https://www.instagram.com/p/BtmIOlegrQu/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1ertto5uum8mw
